We arrived at 3.50pm and asked if we could have a tea, reply was yes but we close at 4.00pm, to which I replied but we will be fine to finish our tea and suggested a time of 4.15/4.20 ish. The young lady asked another behind the counter and the answer was No! Very poor were our thoughts especially on customer service. Will certainly not be returning.

This Weybridge Patisserie has lots to temp you from handmade chocolates to delicious sandwiches. I had my usual prawn sandwich on freshly baked bread, which is a treat as most places use sandwich loaves! The staff are always friendly and helpful and are happy for you to stay for hours. It's usually quiet when I go at 12.30pm. Please check it out as it would be a shame to lose it!

We came here on Saturday morning early before they got busy. Just had a cappuccino and an almond croissant, which was absolutely delicious. Very pleasant staff. This was my first visit, but will be back next time we are in the area.

It was my first visit. There are good choice of cakes, however no prices displayed.I asked young person behind the counter, but he was not sure. I feel that prices should be shown.I bough two cakes and they were average at £ 5 each.The cheese cake looked better that it tasted.

Im not one for having coffee out, but away for a girls catch up and found this little gem. We had arrived the day previously and quickly ducked into Nero for a coffee, wish we’d found this place first! Lovely coffee and lovely service too. Wonderful array of scrumptious looking cakes. Same / similar price coffee to ‘ the larger coffee establishments ‘ but just no comparison.

Excellent sandwich and a pot of tea, followed by the best apple crumble pastry I have ever tasted! Wonderful service and all made in house. Definitely recommend!

I cannot say anything about the produce as I never got to sample anything or buy anything. I walked in yesterday and was completely ignored. I looked over at the cakes which looked amazing and mouth-watering. The man behind the counter took a call - that is fine with me. He could have made eye-contact or said I'll be with you in a minute. Nada, There was a lady there, who just didn't even acknowledge me. I then bided my time and looked at the biscuits on the shelves. I turned around to give them another chance, nothing. It felt like that scene in Pretty Woman. May be I was not decked in designer gear, but your loss. Went to Waitrose and got a cake from there.

Poor quality hazelnut biscuits this time around (previously excellent quality). Shocking customer service on the phone following shocking customer service when the biscuits were returned to the shop. I won’t bother with Bachmanns again.

I ordered and collected on Christmas eve the cake and several items for the evening guests. Every thing was as expected good quality. I have been using this patisserie for over 25 years can only recommend this place including the seven ceed bread not many places bake it. Thanks

Ordered a birthday cake for DD's 40th birthday ...it was beautiful to look at and tasted great...rather too much mousse than cake but happy to order again!

Very disappointed, until today. We bought a small chocolate, mouse and cherry cake. My girls was so excited, but 20 min later we couldn’t eat it, because the bottom of the cake it was frozen. Very disrespectful when I call Bachmanns to explain, they were trying to convince me it was normal?! Dear Mr Bachmanns, if someone mentioned that the cake was frozen, I wouldn’t buy it. No one wanted to wait or had to put it in the microwave maybe ?! If I was sitting in the coffe/patisserie, what was your plan for serving this frozen cake…? Waiting 30min to defrost or shove it in the microwave for a bit? After all the cake was not that good, did wort £17

I am so delighted to have found this amazing patisserie. I loved these konditori when in Germany or Switzerland and we drive by and decided to stop by the Thames Ditton branch. Small shop chocked full of cakes, pastries and traditional biscuits. The cakes were small enough to try a selection, traditionally rich and yummy, and perfect for tea. We also purchased pastries and especially love the wonderful danish with a mouth watering custard. Even their baguettes were crusty and perfect. The staff were so helpful in explaining all the items, ingredients and helping us with the order. We have been there more than a dozen times since and highly recommend this for lovely teacakes and pastries.

I had ordered a birthday cake for my mum and was heavily disappointed, This is a establishment but not for parties and your usual birthdays . The cake was minimal in size and frosted with fruit and dry sponge, just terrible

Such a nice place with amazing cakes and great coffee. Love coming here now and again and trying one of their products. Never disappointed.

There are very few "french" style patisseries to be found outside London and this is one of them. The cakes/pies/quiches and sandwiches are made fresh on the premises.There is a delightful selection of cakes/pastries on display. The patisserie has about 6 tables and you can sit if you wish and have excellent coffee and a snack. Pies come in normal meat or the veggie one with mushrooms which is excellent. One of many nice stops in Weybridge

I only chanced on this patisserie for the first time last week and was thrilled by my unusual but delicious kirsch-flavoured torte. I loved the fact that it wasn't hideously sweet and was not surprised to hear the chef is from Switzerland. Going back this week, even though I lives miles away. Intend to become a regular.

I popped in with a friend for a snack, which was a mini quiche it was fine nothing special , but the cakes looked so tempting I couldn't leave without trying one. Delicious! If I need a cake for a special occasion I will definitely go there to get it. Service OK but not that friendly was the only down side.

Passed this cafe a few times but never been in. Called in for takeaway coffees and pastries. Staff were slow to serve. Sold me croissants, then told me they had already been sold so I would have o have danish instead. Picked up the latte. The cup felt light and when i took the lid off i could see they only half filled the cup. There were no lids for espresso so I couldn't take it away. Pathetic!

I had a cake ordered for my birthday and it was out of this world!! Not only did I love it but all my guests wanted to know where I got it from. It was divine...very well made. I think the cake was more centre of attention than I was! As it was quite big, the chef offered to take it to the car for me. Everyone was willing to help and please. I was very pleased and will order cake from here again! Thank you Bachmanns!!

Nice to find a real patisserie instead of the typical British stodgy bread/cake shops.Everything is cooked/baked on the premises.Great selection of cakes all beautifully made and displayed.Small selection of savoury dishes -various types of quiches etc /fresh French bread sandwiches and some savoury pies.Coffee varies depending on who makes it.Has tables as well as take away.

Probably the best patisserie in Surrey, their desserts are pure bliss, my children and I can never get enough of them.

If you are in WEYBRIDGE or indeed at their other branch in Thames Ditton, you just have to go into Bachmans to make a difficult choice to feed your sweet tooth. They make and have on display such a mouth watering display of wonderful confections that it is impossible to leave without choosing something tasty to take home with you. If you are really unable to wait to get home they can serve you coffee st one of their few tables in the shop and you can sit right down and sample your purchase there and then. I would not dare recommend one particular pastry or cake to choose as they are all delicious. Anything which is made with or contains or is covered in chocolate is particularly scrumptious and not to be missed. Only one caveat, prices are on the high side, but go on, treat yourself early in 2019.

We had high hopes of the truffles, praline stick and cakes we purchased. Unfortunately none lived up to expectations. The apple strudel needed more spice, the truffles and the chocolate torte lacked flavour and weren’t worth the calories. For the price we paid we were very disappointed.

My mother (91) and her friends have a regular Saturday morning meet at this cafe. I attended a few weeks ago and found it to be charming and very fit for purpose.

Really enjoyed our visit here, good service and delicious pastries. We even got some complimentary macarons with our coffee! Tried the cake with fruits as well and that was light and tasty. There's a large selection of (mini and large) cakes to choose from as well as fresh bread, pastries, sandwiches and wrapped treats - you'll be at a loss to decide!

My wife and I had already had a coffee at what was probably the worst coffee house in Weybridge and after lunch we decided to have another one with the family at a different coffee house. We had spotted Bachmanns during our travels on the High Street and the food and décor looked great.

Been many times and never had a bad experience. You won't believe the quality of cakes, chocs and goodies. Don't leave without buying some of thier special multi seed bread

Dropped in here for a coffee and cake whilst visiting Weybridge. Bachmann's Patisserie has a good selection of yummy cakes, serves good coffee and has comfortable chairs. Perfect for a break from a busy day.

Months to go before the wedding and my husband and I were unsure what type of cake we wanted. Chris sat with us and discussed in detail what he can do and showed plenty of pictures, from that moment on we knew we didn't need to look anywhere else. The week of the wedding came and I wanted to add some macaroons to the order; they were more then happy to, they told me the flavours were vanilla, blackcurrant and orange and they would even bag them up! When I came to collect the staff helped me take my bits into the car and wished me a lovely day, everyone was so friendly! Now time to cut the cake! The design was beautiful, better then we imagined and the taste.. wow every guest was talking about how amazing the cake was, it wasn't dry, it wasn't too overpowering with chocolate, it was perfect! My husband and I and all of our guests will definitely be stopping by to grab some more macaroons and a slice of cake! Thank you so much!

A terrific range of cakes and pastries to eat in and take away, and it has a real feel of the best of German or Swiss hospitality about it. Probably the best coffee shop in the area.

Amazing selection of cakes. Great to take home if you have guests etc as they are always impressed. Waffles are great for eating in!

Hace poco compré una tarta. Digo cheesecake pero era tan claggy y insípido y me dejó muy decepcionado. He comprado mejor en el supermercado local de la carretera. Este lugar es muy sobrevalorado y caro. Tal vez pensaron que como es weybridge pueden escapar. Así que no volveré en una prisa. Café no es tan buena. Están cerrados los domingos y los lunes. Sándwiches son promedio, pero no hay mucha variedad.

Vi un comentario amigos en fb acerca de este lugar, así que pensé que mejor planear una visita para comprobarlo. El lugar es increíble, y hay un montón de diferentes y pastelería pastel a elegir. Fue un cumpleaños de amigos, que opta por la sacher...

Nos reunimos con Chris para discutir opciones de pasteles de boda y nos quedamos encantados con la información y ayuda que proporciona. Por supuesto mientras estuvimos allí tuvimos que probar algunos de los pasteles! Absolutamente encantador! No nos decepcionó!

Freezing cold day today, temperature not above 3 degrees, half way through my walk I thought it might be a good idea to pop into the cafe and have a nice hot warming drink. The coffee was just about luke warm, very disappointing, its not cheap so you would expect the hot drinks to at least be nice and hot, not luke warm.

Took my granddaughter for a treat at Bachmanns. She loved her hot chocolate and the cakes, so did I.

Really disappointed arrived at door with baby twins in pram was unable to get through door. One half was bolted and so too narrow for double pram. Assistant just stared without commenting so we turned away. Went across the road to lovely tea shop who were very welcoming. No welcome for us here!!

Great choice of freshly made cakes. Not many tables, which is a negative if they are full but once you are there, it is great as the place is not very noisy and you can actually hear the conversation. Bit pricey but worth it!

I had a black coffee and chocolate moose/bavarois/brownie cake. Bitter chocolate oozed through the sponge and crumbly base. Very well executed and served with a knife and fork and not a cake knife (which keeps the fingers clean!).

We had our first breakfast here when we moved to Weybridge it will be very hard to find a cafe as welcoming.

good quality food at a good quality price, want cheap,go greggs. this cake shop(in English) produces exceptionally good cakes. not many tables, parking in the large public car park acros the road up a small footpath. if your looking for a spcecial occasion cake look no further.

The best patisserie in Surrey! Beautiful breads, wonderful cakes, great confectionery, friendly and well informed staff. Mr Bachman is a genius when it comes to chocolate creations.

Bachmann's attention to detail shines through in the delicious flavours and beautiful presentation of their products. The staff there are lovely as well!

The chocolates and cake here cost an absolute fortune, but it's worth it for a special occasion; I often buy people the Champagne Truffles - it's a smallish box for £20 but they are incredible. It's probably not your every-day place to pick up something sweet but I would absolutely recommend it every now and then.

I brought my husbands birthday cake from here and it was a real crowd pleaser. We got the chocolate truffle gateau and it was wonderfully light and chocolately. The perfect way to end our meal.

Amazing hot chocolate and cakes...they have a chocolate factory upstairs and make all their own cakes and treats! Enough said!

Bachmanns is one of the finest "cake shops" in Surrey! You can see in their well stocked "glass display" all the fine goodies! None of them is disappointing and the worst part is that you will have to make a decision in what to try next. From dark chocolate mouse cake to a lighter cheesecake or a fruity tart - delicious. Also the different sandwiches with egg and mayo, tuna or ham are very tasty on their self made baguette bread. The staff is very helpful and friendly and always willing to explain all the different cakes in their display. You can order take away or sit down in their little shop and have a coffee or drink while you decide what to try next. The only thing I feel when I go in there is that even though it is a very nice place with excellent service and great quality, it doesn't feel very cosy when you sit in there. But on the other side you are most likely to find a seat for at least two people for a quick coffee.

This is a very cool place. Its the only pastry kitchen and chocolate factory I know of where you can look into the kitchen through a glass window. And the desserts really are the best. We always get cakes from here for special occassions. i do think they are having a bit of a laugh with the prices, but this is Weybridge!

Bachmanns may seem to be just another coffee shop along Church Street, but it is anything but ordinary. There is something to cater to all tastes, sweet and savory, and a wide range of drinks. The staff are exceptional and have a genuine love for what they do. They add a friendly personal touch to your afternoon break.Make sure you stop in and say hi, you won't regret it.

Situated at the beginning of Weybridge High Street this is not the place to visit if you are on a diet. A pleasant ,comfortable small Patisserie serving excellent coffee and the most mouthwatering selection of cakes and unusual delicacies you will ever see displayed in regimental splendour. A lovely place to wile away a spare hour or two and then after participating in the tempting arrange of cakes order a taxi to take you home you certainly wont feel like walking.. For a real chocolate treat this is Paradise regained !.

Breakfast on a Saturday. We had a Danish pastry that was amazing!!!! Can't wait to come back to try other pastries, the best place to have breakfast in town.

The coffee is delicious, the confectionery is of a standard rarely found in this country, and the chocolates are simply the best anywhere.

We went one day before New Year eve to buy a cake, the place is really nice, all patisserie were well presented, we eat a pie was delicious, there are a good variety of cakes and gateaux, the lady that was in the counter was really nice and helpful she explained very well each cake that they had, I think would be a great idea if they put a cake description so you don't have yo ask for each cake, this place is very good value for money. The only negative comment is that they toilet was out of service and they don't have high chair for kids, so if you have a younger kid is better to go for a take away!

We visit Bachmanns very often. Their cakes and service are consistently great. Weather you choose to dine in or take your cakes home you will not be disappointed by the quality of their goods. Not only are their cakes delicious but they also make lovely chocolates, macaroons, pastries and other small items such as sausage rolls and quiche. Their christmas pudding is amongst the best we have ever tasted. We frequently send Bachmann's cakes to Tokyo, Japan where friends and business associates greatly enjoy them. All our friends and family around the world love their christmas pudding. If you live in Weybridge or are visiting the area you have to try the delicacies Backmanns have to offer.
