The best in St Helen without a doubt. Great food and friendly service. Special call out for Yasin who's looked after us and made it a great experience.

Brilliant service, delicious freshly cooked food. An excellent evening. Many thanks to the staff and kitchen. We will be back.

Make sure you check your drinks bill . A few months ago they doubled ours. And my daughter and partner went tonight and they tried the same again.

What a place! I’ve come here several times, having been first introduced by a friend who lives locally, and every time it has been a delight, The quality of the food, it’s presentation, the attention by the staff and most importantly the feeling of ‘value for money’ is second to none. It maybe because my friend is a regular that we get treated as ‘special’ customers, but I get the impression that what I’ve seen and experienced is the norm and that this is how they operate. In which case, well done. It’s a delight to come here and I hope to continue doing so for a long time yet!

Guide dog truth - i was present when the person below was causing issues. I was picking up a takeaway which was as tasty as always. What they have failed to mention below is the truth. Both the male and female were extremely drunk and arguing. The male with the guide dog also urinated up the wall of the premises. (The male, not the dog). They were aggressive towards the staff, so rightly so, they were asked to leave. To leave a fake review when you actually caused the issue with being intoxicated and aggressive is pathetic. This is a very good restaurant serving great food. As with any business and any human, sometimes they get things wrong. However, they do not discriminate against law abiding well behaved / mannered individuals. Which you were clearly not!

Thursday 24th August 20.00 I was refused entry into this restaurant, when asked why I was told that I could not take my guide dog in. I reminded the staff of the equality law explaining that they were breaking this law by refusing to let me and my guide dog enter. The waiter said he would check in the kitchen to determine whether we could enter. he came back and told me they were full. We pointed out that there were at least 5 empty tables on that floor as well as empty tables on the floor above. A manager came and told us that they were now closed and we could have a take away. He said they closed at 8pm and it was now 8.10 pm despite their menu stating that they closed at 9.30pm. I stressed again that it was illegal to refuse entry to an assistance dog but, he was determined that me and my dog would not be allowed in. Me and my party left the restaurant and called a taxi. When it came we told the driver what had happened. The driver asked the manager why he wouldn't let us in and he lied. He said our behaviour was unacceptable. The driver said it was disgusting that we were not allowed entry. I am fed up of continually being refused entry to restaurants when I am with my assistance dog, these people do not know the law of the land. This was highly inconvenient for me as I then had to instruct my taxi driver to take me to a restaurant on the other side of town. This restaurant was away from the railway station for my trip home to Liverpool. Why don't these businesses understand that a guide dog is a working dog and not a pet! Therefore, they should allow the dog in without any fuss.

I’ve been to this amazing restaurant several times now, the last time quite a while ago, but decided to book it for my birthday celebrations with my family last night, I have got to say the standards of the food, service and restaurant is as I remember from the first time. First class service, amazing food and great atmosphere. The family who own and run the restaurant are absolutely brilliant and made my celebration a night to remember, everyone commented how good the food was and how much they enjoyed it. I had couple of starters, meat samosa which so full of flavour and garlic chicken wings which were tender and delicious, my main meal was lamb rogan josh, which I definitely would recommend, not to spicy but full of flavour and the lamb was so tender. It’s definitely the best Indian restaurant we have been to. I would definitely recommend you give this place a try,

First visit and we would highly recommend. We phoned again to reserve a table, you might want to do this if you prefer which area you want to be seated. We had a warm greeting and the service was very efficient. The food was yummy and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Got to say this place is the best Indian restaurant in the town as iv eaten from them all. 10/10 for taste, service, and atmosphere. The staff here are super friendly and nothing os to much trouble for them.

This was the first time we visited and we will be back. Had a cheeky curry before our cinema trip and it was amazing. We tried ba’bursi after someone in my mrs work recommended. Well we weren’t disappointed. We both got starters and honest the flavours were just mouth watering. After speaking to one of the owners I said I love hot food like nagas. His answer was u haven’t tried mine. Seriously it was the best king prawn naga I have ever ate thank you. Recommended by the receptionist at the Mercure, this was a stunning find. Although busy we only had a few minutes wait for a table. The menu was excellent with standards and some interesting fish dishes. Portions were excellent,the spicing just right. The staff were very attentive and chatty. If I ever come back to St. Helen's we'd have no hesitation in going back.

I have been to Ba Bursi since they opened up wether it’s for a family occasion with friends or just me and the wife we always get looked after by Imran and his staff. The food is really top notch definitely up there as one of the best restaurants in Sthelens and surrounding areas.

We went for the first time the other week and wow! Not only is the venue it’s self a real surprised when you go in with the lovely high ceilings and mezinine but the staff are super friendly and the food was amazing! My partner and I booked on a whim hoping for an Indian feast of delights. Ba’bursi delivered this in spades!!! Popadoms were crispy and light and the chutney tray was that good that we had no choice but to order another. Then followed the mixed starter for 2. Simply brill (the seekh kebabs were the best ever) Our mains were the balti exotica and a mixed dopiaza. Both were stunning dishes which were a far cry from the generic curries so many restaurants dish up. Accompanied by an amazing naan and spinach rice we both polished the lot.....delicious. Celebrated my birthday with family here on the 30th August. Had so many people tell me to go here because of how good it was and im so glad I listened. Lovely place, food was the best we have had and the service was great. We felt well looked after and had a great time.Thank you

Absolutely love this Indian, only ever stayed in to eat, dinnertime service a bit slow but food is always beautiful. Portions are on the big side so always left overs to take home. Staff are polite, well dressed and happy to assist. Will definitely be back

1st visit to this restaurant after trying to book in so many times. We booked a week ahead. I’ve had a lot of curries, the food, service, cleanliness, decor, staff fully attentive Everything was spot on! Everything hits 5*. Will definitely be going back. Would recommend this place!

What an excellent meal! Had a list available of food that was not Gluten Free (GF) which I was very appreciative of! Service was good considering how busy it was and all staff were masked and were giving our hand sanitiser bottles. Changed my cutlery on request as it was a bit grubby and were very polite and helpful. We started with deep fried feta (non GF) and king prawns in garlic butter (GF) Absolutely delicious! If we could have bought a bucket of the garlic butter sauce we absolutely would have!!! Was served alongside a basket of warm cumin spiced bread (not GF) which was apparently tasty too. For mains we had the Sheesh kebab special, all the meat was tender and flavoursome and the lamb cutlets were the star of the show! Served with rice and what I call Tunisian salad (cubed tomato, cucumber and red onion) so allowed the meat to be the star of the show. Sheesh also run a £1 BOTTLE of wine deal Sunday-Thursday and it was a very nice, semi-sweet/ semi- dry Italian rosé (white and red available also.) 10/10 would recommend and we will be back! I’m looking forward to my leftovers tomorrow!

Went to Ba'Bursi n on Saturday 25.7.20 this was the first time we had been out since the current crisis began. Chose this restaurant as we are regulars. As ever the food and service was excellent. Cleanliness in the restaurant and bathroom spot on. The staff are on the ball cleaning the tables. Really friendly attentive staff too.

With their fast service, great food, and a warm yet airy atmosphere, Ba’bursi has left me fully satisfied twice so far. The food is impressively presented and very well made, yet still, prices are low and quality is high end. The owner has a passion for food and service - and it shows.A deep understanding of vegan food and a variety of options were the cherry on the cake for me, personally. I can fervently recommend the Chili Paneer (which is soy based) and the simple yet satisfying Tadka Dal laced with smoky fried garlic. I am sure I’ll have other recommendations soon.Thank you for the pleasure of dining at your establishment, and good luck in the years the come.

Great to see the restaurant back open even if it is only for takeaway. Really easy to order and pay online, plus all the customers were kept at a safe distance while collecting their orders. We have eaten here before but never had a take out.Ordering online was simple with a wide choice from the menu.Very busy on collection but due to the lock down this was expected.Staff very friendly and courteous.Food superb just the same quality you get in their restaurant and good portion sizes too.Well worth at try, prices no different than some of the poorer quality take aways in the town.
