Baburchi in Spelthorne

My order arrived and it was stone cold! I took 1 bite out of the chicken kormas and it tasted like a Tesco chicken curry ready meal, no taste to it at all. When I rang the restaurant up to tell them this , he was extremely rude and sarcastic! Not what I expect from a restaurant. They need a lesson on clearly how to cook and customer service. Will definitely not be returning unfortunately!!

First time visit on Saturday evening with friends. The restaurant had a lovely ambiance and we were well looked after by the friendly, attentive staff. Plus the food was excellent. We shall definitely be returning and making it our regular.

This was the first time ordering at this restaurant, it was recommended by some friends, it was excellent. Everything arrived hot and was as ordered. We will definitely use this restaurant again.

We booked a table but really wasn't necessary as only 1 other couple in there. We were quickly offered some poppadoms and drinks, however, trying to get the waiter over to order our mains was quite a task as he seemed more interested in taking phone orders than looking after the dining in customers. When we eventually did get our food it was top notch, can't fault it at all. If tgey paid more attention to dining in customers over telephone orders this would've been 5 stars.

Tyvärr så är jag så besviken att ha betalat 209 kronor för Garlic Tikka Masala (Foodora)! Kycklingen var supertorr och den smakade gammalt!! Har varit bra tidigare när jag beställt… Nu vet jag inte om man vågar beställa igen..

I ordered a takeaway from Baburchi in Ashford (woodthorpe rd) several times while being local and I was very impressed by the quality and taste of the food. Everything we have ordered is top and the variety is great. Flavours are unique and tailored to your preference. Howerever spicy or mild you wish. The chicken tikka masala was creamy and rich,butter chicken not too sweet ,the lamb madras was tender ,flavoursome and nice spicy, and the saag aloo was fresh and flavourful. I think through the year we have ordered so many dishes. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The funny thing was we sat in at the India India Whittin as se have pals on that side road and not realising it was a sister rest they were connected as we were leaving tge kids were admiring the rugby ball as tgey play and a customer cane in and harped on about the Chef at Baburchi and it didnt click that it had been the place we had been going to all that time. So We made sure we met the chefs the next time we went in to Baburchis and they were such humble, nice people . Its been our experience each time to be honest and i meant to write the review ages ago . You will always get good quality food ,fast and staff whom are friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Baburchi to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Bengali and Indian cuisine. 🌶️👍 and dont forget to post a review because how will others know how awesome they are right. 😊

The food was delivered 45 minutes after the delivery time. The somasas were not cooked. I did however get an extra meal that I did not order. That was nice. Customer service was not good either. When I called due or the food being late the person was unhelpful and blunt

Terrible customer service ; unacceptable long wait for delivery- over an hour , adding insult to injury when called to find out where our £36 order was actually going to be delivered. Manager not there, staff not interested or bothered. OUT OF PRINCIPLE WILL NOT ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN THEY DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS.

This place has served great quality Bangladeshi food at good value with friendly service for years. Great to go back after moving away to find the standards as high as ever.

We tried this as our new Indian as my partner has just been diagnosed ceoliac and we were told this was a good place for it We were naturally quite apprehensive but needn't have been. The guy on the phone knew exactly what procedures were needed. The food was very good and delicious. I had tandoori lamb chops to start which were so succulent and the lamb saag which was very good. Only minor complaint was it was slightly on salty side but we don't mind that. Looks like this is our new Indian takeaway!

Quick delivery, unfortunately the order was not complete. The veg curry for the byriani was missing. Everything else was ok.

The service was efficient, discreet and friendly and the food delicious. It was also well presented. We have gone to Baburchi for years (it is local), have on occasions taken family and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is lively but quiet. We can certainly recommend it.

Love Baburchi, we don’t go anywhere else for a takeaway Corry. 15 years they have been our go to and in that time the quality has never changed, really top notch food that is authentic

Ordered at 7:37pm, was delivered just before 10pm. Openly admitted they were very busy but never gave accurate updates on various calls chasing. Spoiled the enjoyment of nice food.

I love this restaurant normally but it was delivered very late yesterday and the lamb was really really tough which was very disappointing

Despite ordering online around lunchtime for a 7pm delivery the food was delivered at 7:45pm and was lukewarm. Very disappointing for the price. Will have to think twice about using them again.

Food arrived early. Food was very good but, lamb tikka ordered chicken tikka arrived.

the delivery was early and was quite quick from ordering which was i was very pleased about. the delivery driver was polite and told me to have a nice evening and was very polite in asking for some feedback on the meal. however upon eating the food i was slightly let down. the food was very salty and the chicken the sauce ratio was not equal. i received about 5 - 6 cubes of chicken and a plateful of very liquidy sauce. the bombaloo was spicy as expected but the potatoes seemed to be undercooked and some of them were still slightly hard. it was edible but i don’t think i would order from here again. on a scale of 1-10 i would give this restaurant a 4/10.

Really nice food and delivered earlier than expected.

We only ever order our curry’s from Barburchi. Food is great and delivery is always on time with polite, courteous drivers. Our favourites are the biryani, lamb jalfrezi and chilli paneer - delicious!

First time at Baburchi, nice cosy restaurant, was very empty for a Friday evening however food was good, main course was really nice, poppadoms had to send back as they tasted super oilly however replaced promptly with warm fresh ones which tasted good. Staff are very nice and accommodating.

Lovely delicious food, this is our ‘go to’ for Indian. Always nice temperature, really lovely variety of flavours in the different curries. Always delivered early or on time.

Koh - E - Avadh was horrible! It was coarse instead of smooth, very sour tasting instead of sweet and rich, and the meat was dry. I had to give up trying to eat it and throw it away. Getting fed up with the lack of consistency in how you're making this dish, as this far from the first time it's been exactly like this. It's wonderful when you actually make it properly. Rest of the food was good.
