Fish & chips...more batter than fish, fish dry & tasteless, been coming here for years but gradually got worse. Not going again ☹️

This truly an amazing chip shop, they really have kept it as traditional as possible, and the food is always fresh. I would recommend everywhere to go here.

OK for a one off stop off , nothing to shout about , don't go if in a rush

The place is nice and small. It is not big enough to eat there but they were pretty fast serving the food to go. The portion is super big, it is totally worth the money!! And the masala chips are incredible!!

Stood waiting to be served for 25mins whilst being ignored by all workers plus the manager. Once the manager had finally taken my order she was very rude and obnoxious.

Probably the best chip shop I have been to in a long time. Highly recommended. Not the quickest but the stuff is fresh so worth the wait

Service was quick. I only had chips and curry sauce it did taste nice however straight after both me and my friend instantly felt sick. We are unsure which of the things we ate made us feel like we were about to throw up but now we don’t want to go back and risk anything.

Ordered food that hasn’t even come. Because of not knowing where the driver is. Been waiting a hour half and still nothing. Why offer online ordering if you can’t fulfil it. Would not have given any stars if I had a choice

This place I ordered donner meat chips and some wings the wings were fine but their was a hair in my chips and donner meat I’m not happy at all I called the place to tell them about this matter, the owner said sorry which I appreciate however one of his workers started arguing with me saying to bring the food back I order from this place here and their usually it’s fine this time I’m not happy at all wouldn’t think about coming back

Masala fish, salad, and a flatbread. Amazing.

While the food itself is nice, but having to wait for 100 minutes for the wait to be delivered is a little bit too much. This has also been very consistent; every time the food is delayed!!

Always good food, regular customer..do they deliver via just eat ect now as they used too but the past week or so not been online.

First time coming to here an was the worst experience ever they got my order wrong after I had already paid then was rushing for a regular client who already orderd on the phone but she had to wait as it wasn't ready an the food tasted duscusting won't be wasting my money there again

Very very bad , we spent just under £30 for 2 meals barley any meat on the kebab 2 halves of a cherry tomato and a sprinkling of lettuce we called up to tell them and they said they can’t do anything , not worth the money, better chippys for cheaper in the area ,customer service very poor

Was 4 stars now I put one star Way overpriced now for fish and chips two meals 28 pounds. Crazy people

OLD REVIEW FROM 2021, READ TO SEE NEW ONE. The staff was friendly, i went there to get my lunch, 5 minutes wait to get my food. Let me start off with the chips, the chips were barely ok and it was greasy, all I could taste was oil. I had to stop eating halfway because I was starting to feel aibit sick. The Chicken was OK although some parts of it tasted abit old, like it was reheated from overnight. The verdict is a 3/5 stars due to the chips being dissapointing. Will I go there again? Maybe, maybe not. EDIT 7/3/23: It seems like this place has new management, food tastes better, I like to see improvements; rating has been upgraded to 4.5 stars! Would go here again? Maybe.

IM NOT SURE WHY PEOPLE LIE , Ive lived in the area for most my life and have eaten at this chip shop since it opened there fish and chips doner kebabs chicken and lamb are outstanding never greasy at all im not sure what oil he use's but the rapper is almost dry when you open them , the staff and nick are so friendly , i live in the United States know and the first place i go to when i go back to the UK is here b my chip , i dream about them , try them out for yourself i promise you will go back for more ,

Perfect, proper chips. Kebab meat was tasty too, not greasy.

The best chip shop I have ever been to period.

Had this through deliveroo had fish, chips, breaded mushrooms and tinned roe all was lovely they did miss scrap bits off ordered but that was ok the fish made up for it. The delivery guy was very polite too thanks

Had food for the family from here Today and it has changed owners.The Quality has gone through the floor .Microwaving the sauces which were still cold, Breast of chicken still red inside & Fish Batter soggy white mush.Really Disappointing ,Especially considering the High costs. Also letting the delivery Drivers within touching distance of cooking kebabs and salad bar,Poor Hygiene control. We shall Not be returning any time soon.

Normally be my chip turns out great food but not this evening so disappointed with my fish that tasted and smelled very fishy I couldn’t eat it all and my son who works in a food outlet said keep it just incase You get poisoning mom when you pay good money for a meal for three you want it to be edible very disappointing and we are regular customers to your shop.

We love the chip shop used them for years staff are lovely always hot food presentation good however I was a little disappointed with my chicken and mushroom pie it was hot and nice apart from the lid of the pie which was a little hard. (Never had this before ) Otherwise good excellent food as always.

Nice service from the staff, the fish was nice and cooked fresh but with very heavy crispy batter …. And the chips are terrible the bag is filled with more batters than chips so that is a rip off for the price…. They should ask if u want batters, it’s horrible deep fried greasy batter so very bad that they do not ask Gotta say it’s an expensive chippy I won’t use again, sorry

The fish was ok, but the chips were terrible, aviko pommes frites, are Frozen chips from catering suppliers!. What sort of chippy sells frozen chips... never again.

Excellent quality freshly cooked food. A lot of delivery services collect from here so there can sometimes be a bit of a wait.

This fish & chip shop is very good. They do very good food. They only do take a way.

The lady who served me was very friendly and polite. The chicken fillet burger meal was nice. Ordered battered chips and they look the part but tasted like grease and left a funny taste in my mouth. The pie had been in the microwave and the fish bites wernt very nice.. very pricey. I am happy too pay for good food and unfortunately this wasn't good food

Our regular go to chip shop for takeaway. Staff are always friendly, pleasant and helpful. Food has always been on point. For a place so busy they have always been consistent with quality and service. Deserve an award. Not many places you can adopt and depend up on like this place and always be pleased.👍

Fresh, crunchy traditional chips.

Superb all in chip shop, ya know it's something special when there using fresh leaf salad on donner ( no grated cabbage) 👌burgers lovely, chips clean no residue, 👌 staff super friendly, uniformed. Staying over rd in accommodation been here twice this week can see me making a third trip, no brainer, super

Even though I had a large battered sausage missing (just eat refunded immediately) this chippy is our absolute fave , never had a bad one. Delicious crispy chips (not all stuck together in a greasy lump) always hot , always amazing

Just had a lot of grief for trying to not have fresh greasy chips. They said I would like them greasy. As with all chip shops who allow delivery people to be their number 1 priority. They have lost their focus. Also their google Says it shuts at 11. They close at 10 actually.

Absolutely excellent customer service, we placed 28 kids meals for a leavers party at the local church hall. Food was delivered to the venue, individually packaged and named for each child. No issues with food/order, very professional service and food was thoroughly enjoyed.

Avoid at all costs. Appalling service.

Takes ages to get served and high prices for what u get

Having a cancer patient in Good Hope we are taking him dinners twice a week.. He's certainly enjoying this over hospital food..

For several years we’ve lived in Sutton Coldfield and ‘B My Chip’ has always been a regular ‘Friday night takeaway’. The food is delicious, always freshly prepared and very reasonably priced. The portion sizes are on point and the customer service is very friendly too. Recently, we have been able to order on ‘Just Eat’ which is a great addition to this takeaway as the high standard service still remains. Food is delivered quickly and is always piping hot on receiving it. This is the best chip shop in Sutton Coldfield and would recommend to everyone. We will not go elsewhere for our ‘Friday Night Fish & Chips’. 10/10.

This is, in my opinion, the best fish and chip shop in Sutton. A bit of a tight squeeze for parking when the college is open. Peking Garden is next door. No coffee for sale though, unlike Whitehouse Common Fish Bar, but the quality more than makes up for it

Had fish and chips from B my chip last night, the batter on the fish was soggy and the chips under cooked. The large cod was not much bigger than a small elsewhere and for £11.90 for fish, chips and peas I was expecting much better.

A awful company ordered a delivery, missing a bag of chips (this is a chip shop) 15 attempts to call them, to be told there is nothing that can be done because they are really busy. Avoid at all costs.

I love fish and chips I have to try it everywhere. This is probably on a par with my favourite chip shop in Stratford. Excellent chips not greasy at all and the cod was big chunks of white scales fish in a lovely crisp thin batter. Awesome. Can’t wait for next week.

Very disappointing, ordered via Just Eat, after waiting an hour called restaurant who said Just Eat has taken them offline so went to the restaurant to find out what was happening, manager very unhelpful and said he just wanted customer in the shop not bothered by online orders, so I ordered food again £14.50 ( just eat had charged me £22.80) as I arrived home just eat arrived at the house with my order, driver said he saw me in restaurant having given them my order number earlier you would have thought they might have realised they were dealing with the same order twice. Very unimpressed with Just Eat and B My Chip. Also no masks being worn by most customers and no social distancing in the restaurant!

Good service. If you request your fish n chips to be cooked in veg oil they can do that for you!

I placed an order at midday for delivery at 6:30pm. At 6:27pm I received a notification saying that the order was rejected! We were all looking forward to having our fish and chips for dinner while watching a film and now we have nothing to eat. 😡

Just when you're expecting delivery a txt message arrives saying they can't do it. Deliveroo should take some of the blame.

Best chips i have in a long time! Chicken meat was fresh and tasty. Salad was fresh and crisp. Really impressed with the menu, best place in sutton. Will not go anywhere else if they keep up these standards!

If there was a secret recipe for fish and chips, “B My Chip" has achieved this. The owner deserves a michelin star. We go there every Friday and have the special, this is fish and chips with curry sauce or mushy peas. I can't believe the consistent flavour every time. If you like fish and chips I recommend going out of your way to try these fantastic chips. If you come from far then eat it in the car ha ha ha! ! !

Best chips for miles. We drive past easily 8-9 chip shops to get to here. Not oily and taste very good - have given 5 stars for this reason but the portion sizes is very small and should be bigger for the premium price you pay.

Bit hit and miss, great chips but the onion rings were not nice at all.

B My Chip? More like Imma B Sick BLEURGH. Do not order the onion rings, they were the slimiest, nastiest onion rings I've ever eaten in my life. Chicken nuggets were nice though. Quite enjoyed my battered mars bar too.

My favourite go-to location for fish and chips. Took my girlfriend here today and she couldnt have put it better 'the chips are very much unlike the usual you would get from a chippy, there is almost no grease'. I will always come back for more - but ill be sure to pass on the recommendation.

The cod is fresh and meaty. Very delicious. The price is reasonable. They do student discount and good portion for student.

Popped in at 7:30 Thursday evening , waited 15 minutes fir some chips and a tray of tika meat. Got home about 5 minutes away chips cold and tika meat you could fit in an egg cup . Better local chippys about.

Price has gone way up, quality and portion size has gone way down. Its really disappointing because this used to be a great chip shop but it seems as though the customers are now paying for the fact they decided to do up the place. Staff aren't even particularly friendly any more so I have no reason to want to go to this chip shop anymore.

My favourite chip shop no one makes them like BMC staff are always welcoming perfect takeaway.

All I can say is, you've got to try them to believe them. If Keith Cheggers has voted them good'ns, it is for a reason! Crispy yet fluffy and the cod bites are fab too. Staff are always so kind to my family whenever we go!

Mixed meat kebab and chips is my go to and I am never disappointed! The chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle.. perfect!

This fish and chip shop has to be the very best for quality, consistency and friendliness. A weekly visit is a must for us. The chips are dry and not overcooked - the batter on the cod (or haddock) is crispy, tasty and not too thick or thin. The portions and fish sizes are all great for the prices. Lots of other options are available (as with most modern fish and chip shops) and these too are reasonably priced. They have recently upgraded the interior to a high standard, producing a clean and modern atmosphere. I have tested other similar local outlets in the Sutton area and none reach the overall standards as described above. Well done to Nick and his friendly team.

This is the very best chip shop that we have ever been to. Food is always cooked to perfection - we wouldn’t go anywhere else! The staff are really friendly and take time to talk to you. Highly recommend!

Didn't feel like cooking so called in here on Saturday evening. Regular portion of chips was enough for me. Why is this the only local chip shop to cook theirs properly. Golden brown, crisp and melting inside. Commented to assistant who advised they were new season potatoes. Best chips I have tasted in a long time!

Soggy burnt over cooked greasy chips! Go here for all our chip shop dinners But was very dissapointed to see the chips have changed to some awful brown/burnt looking things that taste nothing like they did a few weeks ago. Something has changed from the award winning chippy it used to be. We even wait in the long queues to make sure we get decent chips over our local choppy. I guess we won't be travelling the extra distance anymore. Bring back the nice crisp perfectly cooked chips we know and love. Sorry one customer lost and I'm sure more will follow.

Chips were soggy greasy and slimy. Never used to be, we enjoyed coming here as it was different to all other chippies around. Now it's just supplying us the same old trash as any other cheap chippy. Has managemwnt changed?
