Another lovely morning visit , with grandchildren. Such a welcome and the cakes and pastries are to die for, not literally die for! You are made to feel welcome as soon as you enter , I can highly recommend the bagels and carrot cake.

The perfect pit stop. We often use the cafe as our marker on a long walk, stopping in for a coffee and slice of cake before continuing. I’ve also spent a whole afternoon working - great wifi, lovely bagel for brunch with a fruit smoothie and a really chilled atmosphere.

Delicious toasted bagels and fabulous smoothies. Try the mixed berries with coconut milk - it’s outstanding. This cafe is in the centre of Mawnan Smith and is well worth stopping off if you’re en route to Glendurgan or Trebah gardens (so much better than the very under-par offering at the cafes of the National Trust). Lovely staff. Highly recommend.

We popped in here for drinks and sat outside relaxing in the sun. I had the Flatwhite which was exceptionally good, the cold drinks were a good quality as well. Looked like mostly cakes and a few bagels, croissants etc for food but although it all looked and sounded gorgeous we didn't eat on this occasion.

Absolutely love this place. The coffee is great, and they have a super tasty range cakes and bagels too (Biscoff blondie absolutely mind blowing). Beautiful design/ aesthetic inside and staff always friendly and smiling. Always stop here after a walk along the nearby beaches.

This is what Mawnan Smith has been missing! The quality of the coffee is amazing, and a really lovely and welcoming atmosphere. Perfect spot to grab a coffee and (delicious) cake before heading off to explore. Five stars well deserved 👍🏼

We’d come to Mawnan Smith looking for the Cornish Maid cafe but Awna have replaced it. We weren’t dissapointed. Both our bagel and coffee were delicious and staff were welcoming. We also felt that they were taking Covid safety seriously which was nice to see. Highly recommended.

So happy to have this new gem on our doorstep. Amazing cakes, particularly De Bara bakery cinnamon rolls. But best of all, the coffee. I had a black decaff which was possibly the best cup I have ever had, including caffeine ones! Fantastic.

I think we were one of the first customers to enter AWNA and even managed to get them onto Tripadvisor website! Lovely atmosphere, very friendly owner and staff, wonderfully dog-friendly and a great addition alongside The Oystercatcher to Mawnan Smith. Really good coffee, a nice choice of cakes and a really good stop-off point to start the day [and at the end of a long coastal walk!]. It was a pleasure to be part of the 'beginning'. Good luck with it all and hope to see you again soon [says Scout the very friendly Springer Spaniel].

Great addition to the village. Superb coffee. Its a shame there’s not more seats as I think they are going to be very busy. Best of luck

We stayed in ‘The Boathouse’ AirB&B near to Mawnan Smith and wandered into the village only to find this wonderful brand new coffeehouse. It became our regular treat during the week and never disappointed. The owners/staff were most welcoming and are true dog lovers so the whole experience (each time) was delightful and rewarding. Lovely coffee, lovely cakes, lovely dog biscuits (I’m told!) in a clean, well presented environment. Many thanks for the welcome - if only we lived nearer......

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday, what a fantastic find!! Funky and quirky vegan cafe. Loved the layout and decor. Best chai latte ever. Absolutely gorgeous tofu tacos, and the squash salad was sooo tasty. It’s dog friendly too!! Young lady was on her own front of house, and the cafe was full, she was run off her feet, but she was brilliant - well done!! Now top of our list for lunching in Mousehole!

I have been here four times now, its become a thing whenever we come to Newquay, tattoo before I go home. The staff are incredibly friendly and always chatting away when you're there. They make you feel like part of the family. It's clean, tidy, always smells so good woth the cakes and coffee, I always feel like I'm home when I go in.

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

We found our way to Freathy Farmhouse Cafe by following a sign from Whitsand Bay. What a lovely find! Very rustic and charming cafe. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed very generous sandwiches served with delicious salad. Some of us even managed cake! We will definitely return although I understand it is best to check opening times. Ps Loved the decor in the loo!
