One hour wait for food and all the food came out staggered times, I chased my burger 3x only to find out it had never been ordered by the waitress in the first place. Customers next to us also complained as their food took one hour to arrive (by food, we’re talking poached eggs on toast). Never again

I found it interesting to read the recent reviews on here as I haven’t looked before and they echo some of my thoughts, but not all. I have been visiting Avocado and Coffee since I moved to the area (2+ years) and I would tend to agree that the service was better and food portions/presentations were bigger around a year ago - but only sometimes. Sometimes, it is a great visit and sometimes it’s OK - a bit inconsistent I guess. I do want to say however, that it is still a great place. The service can be slow and perhaps lack that extra bit of ‘love’ that it used to but they are still friendly. The food is still tasty - the omelettes are our favourite and are the size of a deep pan pizza. The coffee is still one of the best, if not the best, on the high street. The cafe itself is a nice environment, it is bright and welcoming. I had a recent issue with a visit which I contacted the cafe about and the manager and I spoke. She welcomed us in on our next visit and ensured we were looked after. I am a little sceptical how much of their offering is organic. They sell organic produce but when I grab the ketchup for my omelette (don’t judge me), they are providing the standard Heinz as apposed to organic. And, I’m sure the menu states that the eggs are free-range…

This organic cafe used to be a great place to eat. I was very disappointed when my husband and friend got 2 slices of white processed sliced bread , not even cut just the slices one on top of the other with some vegetables( very few) and a slice of goats cheese on top. And a very badly dressed salad. this dish used to be served in the earliest days with sourdough bread what it is what one expects eating on an organic place. Very disappointed

I went to Avocado + Coffee with my young kids with the intention of using the soft play downstairs. I have been here a few times since the new owners took over and I find the service weird. The last time the waiter followed me down the stairs and hovered around me until I ordered my coffee and kids’ snacks, and paid. I was not given even 5 minutes grace to look at the menu. Yesterday, they wouldn’t even let me go downstairs until I had ordered and paid. I thought it was supposed to be table service in this place. I am a black woman and interestingly, when I have been here with white friends, we have been allowed the courtesy to go downstairs, sit down, look at the menu and then order when we are ready. Just interesting… I asked to speak to a manager and was initially told there wasn’t one, then that they were not on-site. I asked for an email address or phone number so I could share my feedback but this was not provided. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. The coffee isn’t great, they never have skimmed milk which is a pretty basic thing in a cafe. Some of the toys in the kids play area are broken and pose a safety risk. I’d rather pay for the bigger and better soft play at The Forum in future.

This restaurant offers plant based milk alternatives for your beverages. However they do not list what alternatives they use as there are many. And do not list allergens. I unfortunately was given 2 lattes prepared with oat milk against my knowledge. I have an intolerance to Oat (avenin) I became very unwell while still at the restaurant and was unable to leave for some time. A young female member of staff attended to me, however the manager Serkan was not on site and was informed via a telephone call of my situation. I spoke to him, he was not concerned, and expressed it was my fault. I explained to him how unwell I was and asked could he authorise a member of staff to organise and cab home as I was crippled up with severe pain. He refused. I was so unwell that an ambulance had to be called. I spent 2 hours with the paramedics. It took 5 hours for my symptoms to pass. I was offered water by staff, but had to ask for cold compress (wet bit of tissue) My family member asked for a refund and was offered a refund of the two lattes. However we had spent short of £40 on lunch and beverages. In the end we did receive a full refund of everything. We asked for the managers surname, but through conversation over the phone between manager and a member of staff he refused to give to us. Natasha's law requires a business to display allergens. This business fails to do that on their menu board. I explained to the manager, displaying just plant based alternatives is not enough information for customers, if you are going to use a certain alternative to a certain drink then you have to display this. Their menu board needs adjusting, however the manager Serkan disagreed.

Could be a nice place. Been here a few times now, but the music is always so loud and intrusive. I only come in for a quiet tea or perhaps to concentrate on some work which is impossible given the volume of the music.

Nice organic cafe in east Greenwich that serves burgers, omelettes, salads, cakes, and sandwiches. I go there semi-regularly for a takeaway boxed salad. Their signature is that most dishes come with avocado - either fresh, guacamole or hummus.

Go see for yourself. The food was delicious. I was specifically at first when told dogs are allowed inside.. Seating was comfortable and Simmons are spacious allowing for guests to move around without toppling on other guests while they ate, as well the odd buggy and pets ( so I was told). Although I was fortunate not to have a single pet in sight during my dining experience. I would go again and recommend . I would say triple check your order ( maybe ask to see the screen) before you pay if you intend to make adjustments to the set menu. I ended up paying for a feast fit for 4 when there was only 2. Still all delicious any left overs became food for the next day at home- my omelette was worth it.

This place has massively gone down hill!! What happened? I will never been going back again, I have been twice in recent months and it is not the same. Total mayhem with so many kids running around and people “working from home”. Food is terrible!!!

Sadly gone downhill in recent months. The coffee is always cold and average, the food is not made well either, and the juices are always half empty cups. I used to go here a lot during lockdown, but recently has become really below average. Not sure if there has been a change in management or something. They have also stopped selling organic produce.

This cafe attracts prams. Lots of them. The kids bawl and scream, the toddlers run around freely, the mothers talk to each other among the mayhem while the rest of us suffer. It’s the noisiest and most chaotic cafe in London.

Nice coffee, alright food, not very attentive staff. We visited yesterday and ordered Welsh rarebit with poached eggs and eggs Benedict. The Welsh rarebit was not Welsh rarebit, they should rename it as it’s nothing like it. Actually, scrap that, they need to teach the chef how to make proper rarebit as what I was served was like a crisp cheese on two slices of bread! It was horrible. The poached eggs were really well cooked but I only ate a bit as it was just so weird. Staff don’t check in, we weren’t asked if things were ok and i left feeling like I’d wasted my money. The eggs benedict were good although no butter on the toast or provided.
