Our first ever visit. Hidden gem. Amazing cade. Lovely food. Fantastic plane related decor and great to watch the planes too. Real sun trap our door seating too

Great place to visit especially if you like your aviation! light aircraft coming and going, helicopter rides ( prebooked), Boeing 747 tour and experience, cafe for refreshments and toilets. Great for a day out with family and kids

Great cafe overlooking the runway at Cotswold Airport. Not an extensive menu, but good quality food and great value. Well worth a visit for breakfast, lunch or an afternoon coffee & watch the planes & helicopters coming in & out.

First time visit. Great place. Interesting watching and seeing aircraft from the balcony. Will definitely visit again.

Don't waste your effort – such a disapointment – it used to be good (have been regulars there for many years). Staff were brusque and rude – being busy is not an excuse for being rude to customers. We felt like we were not wanted, so we left as quickly as we could, never to return.

Lovely cafe brilliant to watch pilots pop in for a coffee, big shame closed on Sunday and Monday , they miss a lot of trade !!!!!!

Website said it was open, drove up from Gloucester and the airport was shut. Annoying.

Great food, lots of seating, prompt service and planes (mostly small and one big jumbo) if that is your thing.

Very accessible, staff went above and beyond to make us welcome. Prices fair. Will definitely return.

Visited with a friend for lunch been several times very good service lovely food cake and coffee to finish it was all first class

A simple BLT ruined with cheap margarine spread and under cooked bacon. Chips were fine and cappuccino nice although small for the price paid. My advice if you can't afford real butter and decent mayonnaise is to get out of food service. If it had not been for the fact we were pressed for time I would have sent it back as it tasted foul.

Found Cotswold Airport by accident. Glad we stopped to admire the 747 and others here. AV8 very welcome stop for coffee and cake. Great atmosphere and packed. Nice place to sit out in summer.

Great location. A warm welcome from the staff despite the venue being absolutely full. Good coffee and then a tasy burger enjoyed outside. A busy airfield with plenty to see and the BA 747 makes a spectacular backdrop. Thanks for the warm welcome.

We called in for a breakfast on our way to Cornwall we were disappointed as only sausage or bacon cobs available no full breakfasts available due to staff shortages the coffees were excellent though and the staff very friendly we will revisit on a day and spend some time overlooking the airfield to see a bit of flying activity

Great spot for a refreshment break whilst out in the Cotswolds near Cirencester. As the name suggests - aviate- , the theme is about aviation & the walls have numerous photo's. There are cakes & more substantial meals on offer with beverages hot & cold. The Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet is right outside the cafe & you can get up close to a piece of aviation history. You can tour the 747 but will need to book & purchase tickets. Friendly & helpful staff.

I stopped in here for a coffee and a bacon roll. Both were delicious. The staff were friendly. It was quite busy probably because of mid term break. I liked it there and I'm planning another visit this week.

Superb for either a family outing or a business meeting, the setting is an aviators dream with friendly accommodating staff offering value for money tasty grub

Excellent service from the lovely ladies and they were so accommodating when I was trying to encourage my 3 year old picky grandson to eat his lunch. Beans and cheese on toast and the trainee pilot picnic box went down a treat. 👍

A brilliant lovely place where you can see planes taking off and landing and there are lots of aeronautical memorabilia. Lovely food. Good prices and dog friendly

Highly recommend if you love open space under sunshine with air planes in front of you. A place shouldn’t be missed. Food is good in line with the price. Staff are friendly and polite.

Great place in the Cotswolds. The arrivals board and outside viewing adds to the experience. Great food and looking forward to a repeat very soon. Under 12's breaky with 747 toast is a must! Cheers Mick

Great cafe with fantastic atmosphere and lots of aviation memorabilia. Situated close to the active runway. Excellent food and very polite staff. Highly recommended.

What a fabulous little restaurant! A very, very pleasant surprise. I met up with an old chum of mine for lunch recently (loved the BA 744 parked outside, both of us being retired BA staff and avi anoraks!), and had a thoroughly lovely time. The place is an aviation fans delight with (as mentioned, the BA 747-400 outside) a plethora of highly interesting and historically important artefacts, smashing! You don't have to be an aviation fan to find and visit the AV8 restaurant, simply be an advocate of quality well priced hospitality. The food was spot on; great quality, plentiful and superbly derived. Attentive and engaging staff and all in wonderful surroundings. A brilliant find and highly recommended. Thank you all for making a couple of old farts very happy indeed!

Havent been to AV8 for years,wow what a change. Fantastic cafe/bar/restaurant. Very nice interior, staff excellent, as was the coffee and cake. Lovely setting and atmosphere, especially for someone who has been involved in aviation for 50 years. Great to see the Hunter and Gnat having flown in both.

Good coffee. We killed an hour while granddaughter on Santa flight. Staff chatty and friendly. Minus 8 outside so very glad to be in. Menu looked good but only got as far as toast which was fine. Interesting pictures on wall.

A very popular venue judging by the length of the queue and full tables. Even though busy a nice calm atmosphere.

What a cool place to have food and drinks. My girls love it, especially on a clear morning.. there are planes taking off every 20-30 minutes or so. The lemon drizzle cake is yummy.

Absolute pleasure to visit - great views of the Airfield and lovely selection of cake and coffee..... With very helpful staff.!

Lovely cafe at cotswolds airport Kemble. Very reasonably priced and large picnic area for viewing the aircraft comings and goings.

I only had a bit if bakewell but it was good. Coffee was good and location amazing as usual.

If your into aviation combined with good food then the av8 restaurant is a must .

An enthusiasts haven. Great atmosphere amongst aviation community and bikers too. Beware though: postcode for AV8 sends you to the opposite side of the airfield so take care...

Couldn't rate the food as they stopped serving at 15:00 on the Saturday but everything else was great.

Nice cafe, but some of the prices are a bit salty, £3.50 for a small cup of coffee? Gone in just 3 swallows. Also when we ordered hot drinks and sandwiches the drink’s arrived 10 mins before the food, so we’re cold when we started eating.

Popped in with my parents after our Negus 747 tour for coffee & cakes, a friendly welcome, nice drinks and tasty cakes! Just the job ☺️

I go back a long way with AV8 but this was my first visit in 15 years. Good to see that it's still there, and smartened up, and with the same attraction of being able to sit outside on a nice day and watch the aircraft come and go. The restaurant inside holds plenty of interest too. Such a shame though that they stop serving food so early - we had made a special trip to see the Negus 747 but could only have drinks and then had to leave to eat elsewhere.

Whilst I have been coming to Kemble for years for flying training, I've never been to AV8 before. This time I was in to catch up with friends and the place is fantastic. Great view of the flight line, very good food selection with some nice allergen aware options. Despite being really busy, food was quick and the whole atmosphere is superb. A gem

Nice relaxing place. Something a bit different to a typical cafe with it being on an air field.

We had a 2 hour ride out on a motorcycle . We stopped for lunch here very nice food.lots to see.would recommend.

The place is great but the service is so slow. 30 minutes in a queue, 1 person serving. They need to have 2 queues one for food & drinks and the other just for drinks, the turnaround would be so much quicker. Especially as elderly people visit and they can't stand in a queue that long. The place itself is great, lots of activity going on. The food looked nice but I haven't eaten there.

Super cool place to eat your breakfast! You can watch the planes take off and land from up close. The food is really good and the staff is just lovely!

Great coffee (illy) and great atmosphere. Brilliant fun watching the planes. Loved it. Free parking. Various offers for children and dog treats on bar.

Was only a quick visit here this time, had a couple of soft drinks which were reasonably priced, friendly but quiet due to time of day with a few people sat outside in the garden, but very clean & tidy...

If you like planes, this is quite an interesting place. Lucky enough to see a Spitfire take off and land on the day we were there but generally just light aircraft/ helicopters in action

A lovely place, nice friendly staff food is very tasty. Situated very close to the airfield so it gives you the great opportunity to watch the aircraft and if you are like me then some nice photography opportunities.

Not open Sundays and Mondays check before you go

We had lunch here today, having visited the Negus 747 (which was amazing!) The staff are absolutely lovely. We had a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. It was my birthday and my husband had mentioned that during conversation. After we had finished eating the lovely staff brought me over a huge slice of chocolate cake with a candle! What a lovely thing to do! Fabulous selection of food from paninis and jacket potatoes to a variety of burgers. We sat outside in the sunshine and ate whilst watching the planes taking off and landing on the runway adjacent to the cafe. You can choose to sit inside on plane seats which was pretty cool! Well worth a visit!

Lovely place to eat drink and watch planes. Food came out very quick but 2.50 for a can of coke was a bit much 😮. We quite liked the actual plane seats in the place and the toilets were spotless. We will come again

We didn't know you could stop and view Kemble, so this was such a pleasant surprise to find a well-kept 5* cafe with a licence and fantastic viewing area. We had a nice break from driving, and it was dog friendly as well. Thank you, we will definitely be going back

The food was a very poor standard. Cold dry chips and my burger was so burned I had to cot the bottom off it to be able to eat it! Had any bothered to check back I would have complained, but nobody seemed interested. Will definitely never return!

We had great food, great service. The day we went there it was very busy with people. There was about a 10 minute wait in the queue to order the food but then food came fairly fast. Would definitely visit here again. I consider it as the plane spotters paradise.

Love this as a basic cafe. Personally dont like the main meals. Food is ok but a cafe trying to be posh and come across expensive for small meals.

Great place for a delicious burger meal. Great atmosphere with fabulous views over the airfield from within through large windows obscuring very little.
