I was really expecting another version of Harrods. How wrong was I. The shopping experience was another world, with an enormous array of variable priced goods set out with plenty of room to browse at leisure.

A department store with everything you could possibly want or need just lacks helpful and kind staff. Walked around here for an hour without a single person asking if I would like help with anything, once at the counter ready to buy something, the girl was on her phone and had nothing to say to me bar ‘do you want a bag’

Visited this place to get Lisa Eldridge lipsticks during our time in the UK. Nicely decorated. Staff are very helpful.

Love it, do not get me wrong, they have everything as Harrods, but, same, it is too crowded for me..at the end I go distracted and drained and loose the pleasure to buy!!! Definitely for me it is a weekly day place, not in the weekend!

A place that brings together all international brands

It is one of the best department store in London where you can find fabulous brands it is lovely place.

I had a bra fitting at The Body Studio with Lana and it was a incredibly helpful, supportive (no pun intended) experience. I highly recommend bra fittings every few years as bodies change, especially post-partum. I didn't feel any pressure to buy, and was offered lots of options and suggestions. Lana's customer service was friendly and clearly experienced which put me at ease.

In the daytime it is much better than in the evening

Selfridges customer service team are a strange bunch. I've contacted them today to ask whether they could send a replacement part (a small metal bracket) for a toy that's broken through wear and tear since I bought it last year. Twice I've got told I'm not entitled to a refund without proof of fault at the time of purchase as its been over 6 months. When I tried to explain I wasn't after a refund, just a part, I got the same 'bot' response as before. I even asked if they could give me the contact details for the company that made it originally. Guess what the reply was? 'Not entitled to a refund...etc'. Think the AI you've got running your customer service needs a reboot. Shocking service, won't be ordering anything from you again in a hurry if that's how you operate.

Don't order from their website as they will send you empty boxes as their logistics team steal the contents !

Another iconic place in Central London. A must for shopping enthusiasts but also good for buying exclusive wines. The food at various restaurants within Selfridges is excellent.

Her friendly demeanor and helpful introduction to their extensive range of Flavors enhanced our experience. Crumbs it's not for the faint of heart this place if you're looking for a more extensive collection of finery then you'll find nowhere else. Not everything is expensive but you'll not leave this place a richer person

This organization is stealing from customers. Be cautious when ordering from their website. They send their customers empty boxes and do not refund when confronted about it with full evidence that the box came empty. Many others have complained about this also. Check out namednicole on tiktok, Selfridges stole over a thousand pounds worth of items from her. Shocking!

Nice shop to look around. However I was charged £6.28 for six small chocolates(which were nice by the way) but was really disappointed when visiting the ladies to find the toilet bowl was disgusting. All brown as if needing a bottle of Domestos

Pray nothing goes wrong, because if it does you get the absolute worst customer service I have experienced in 40 plus years, where if you point out your legal, they will reply with "we will no longer talk to you." After decades of spending thousands here, I will never spend another penny.

It feels like a toxic environment I went there to buy a Coach tabby shoulder bag 26 the lady was so rude I asked her do they have this bag in silver/black she laughed at me and said I don’t think coach does it in this style but I knew they do because I have been wanting this bag for a very long time so I went to Coach outlets and they had the bag I was looking for before you answer customer questions maybe do your own research what bags they sell.

I found it very crowded and personnel not helpful.

Extremely disappointed with my shopping experience! On September 3rd at 16:39, I purchased a £35 item from the Jellycat store in Selfridges. During checkout, the cashier didn’t ask for my email and only gave me a paper receipt, which meant I didn’t receive an electronic order confirmation. Even worse, the cashier forgot to remove the security tag from my item! The next day, I was about to leave London but had to return to Selfridges under time pressure to resolve the issue. When I arrived, they demanded my receipt, which I had left at my accommodation. I showed them my bank transaction as proof of payment, but they refused to accept it, claiming they couldn’t verify the purchase. I asked them to check their system for my order, but they couldn’t retrieve any details. Even when I requested to view CCTV footage, they said it would take a long time. The most frustrating part was when they confiscated my item and told me I could only retrieve it if I brought back the physical receipt. This was clearly the staff’s mistake, yet I was the one made to suffer the consequences! This experience left me extremely angry, wasting my time and negatively affecting my travel experience. I sincerely hope Selfridges’ management can assist me in obtaining a refund and issue an apology for the poor service I received.

I had an amazing experience with Rania in Chanel London Selfridges. We bought a bag and a pair of earrings she was patient and very kind and most importantly she was very knowledgable helping us through choosing a bag asking questions etc it was not the first time I was shopping with Chanel but the experience was amazing this time thank you

What can l say. Everyone when in London must visit this store. The best of everything. But can be exspensive but you get what you pay for it's your choice.

Poor window displays which are new but have letters falling off already. You need to do better. Extremely elitist, over priced but sometimes have an interesting item or two. Expect to bet harassed if you enter the electronics part in the basement

Great shop, the food hall is first rate but often very overpriced for the same produce available elsewhere; though they also sell produce you can’t get elsewhere. Car park is one of the best in London as well.

Lovely environment weither you come to spend some money or have a wonder round. Always a wide range of options, can't go wrong with a trip to selfridges. Plenty of security around for those that feel un easy sometimes. Went for my partners birthday, to buy her some trainers and clothes. Of course as you go round the salesman are very good at there jobs and you get sucked in. Ended up buying a couple pairs of designer trainers myself. I’d like to formally raise a complaint against your employee named “Lali” at the Huda Beauty Concession in the beauty hall. She is extremely rude and unprofessional and shouted racial slurs at me. I will be initiating legal proceedings against Selfridges so I can teach her a lesson about respecting customers.

The place is wonderful and there is a prayer hall for Muslims. I liked their interest in this thing, which is on the fourth floor.. The products are wonderful and everyone is helpful and smiling.

Hectic place, big queue for lifts which were so incredibly slow, just a very overwhelming place to be in. Not the fault of staff who I am sure are lovely, but it definitely put me off going back.

What a nightmare to get through on the phone. Picked an option for Customer Services, it then talks on and on and says to go back to the main menu and selected Customer Services, which I have done, only to go to the same recording that goes on and on and says to go back to Customer Services and so on. This store is a monkey circus!

Events. Shops. Crazy crowds of taylor swift fans stealing and stuff.... staff unhappy and security. Like even me walking through and these people being crazy next to me, talking to me about how they flew all the way here and can't buy a tshirt etc... literally repetition. I applaud the staff putting up with it, but can definitely tell they were not happy. Lots of things stolen too.

Travelled three hours to an appointment to visit Jellycat Fish & Chips. Now I understand there was a warning that not all items may be available but for three items to be out of stock (but will be available again 02/09/24) was very disappointing. There was no option to pay for these items and get them posted, even after a lengthy journey. Left me very disappointed. Not the service I would expect.

Had such fantastic experience yesterday with a lovely individual called Lola. She helped me find my shade of foundation in the Giorgio Armani make up isle. She noticed I needed help and was very attentive and patient. It was so busy and the fact that she made time to help me despite it being so busy was very thoughtful and reassuring of her. Thank you so much Lola you made my experience all the more worthwhile.

From USA, visiting London. I HAD to experience Selfridges. It was such a great place to feel immersed in old London. They were affordable, decorated beautifully and had a wonderful staff. Selfridges is SNAZZY but not SNOOTY.

Good presentation, however, very difficult to find specific brands. Nothing like a map of them is available. One has to ask.

Great store, like all luxury stores the prices are exorbitant for people with normal incomes so going there is more to look at. So to see it’s super pretty and we see some unusual things there. There is always something to buy in certain departments though... and the food is rather accessible and good.

Paid £17.50 for same day delivery on my item and it still didn’t turn up , can’t give 0 stars but would it was a gift I paid £5 for the box too 😤

Appalling service. Staff too busy laughing together to provide any level of service. Also observed staff handling food without usual hygiene measures. I will never return.

Even after spending over £200, they still insist on cramming everything into a single bag. Ask for an extra, and they have to consult with management as if it's a huge favor. Honestly, it's shockingly stingy. You're far better off shopping at Harrods—where the experience is worlds better!

It is definitely my favorite department store in London. You feel very comfortable in Selfridges.
