Atrium Coffee House in Glasgow City

Esto es en el West End de Glasgow justo al lado de Byres Road. Esta es una cafetería que tiene una bonita exhibición de pasteles bajo vidrio. La zona de estar está muy bien equipada con sillas y mesas muy acogedoras. Los pasteles son deliciosos y las bebidas son buenas. El servicio es bastante lento, así que si tiene prisa podría retrasarse. El personal está bien.

Entré a tomar un café ya que estaba 30 minutos temprano para el trabajo compré un café y me senté a abrir un sándwich que traje conmigo para que el gerente calvo se volviera hacia mí y dijera que no comías eso aquí dentro grosero tbh después de gastar 4 libras en un café 🤣

Always love the coffee here recommended- the mocha frappe. Staff always lovely too. Always come back

Popped in here yesterday with our two young children to grab a hot drink. Our order consisted of a New Yorker Sourdough Sandwich for me (heated perfectly and packed with flavour), accompanied by a large Hot Chocolate (massive mug). Further to this, my wife had a Chocolate Milkshake and our eldest a Small Hot Chocolate (both enjoyed with the staff kindly cooling my son’s drink to make it child-friendly). The youngest was asleep. This was a decent wee café - nothing extravagant or fancy but just a good, comfortable space with friendly staff at the helm. The Sandwich choice alone would tempt me back and at £15.50 for the entire order, it wasn’t a stretch cost wise.

Dreadful experience in the Atrium, which I have previously visited on a regular basis. While sitting having a coffee next to 2 women we found we could not hear ourselves speak for a group of 3 people sitting talking very loudly behind us and frequently using the f word. Having endured it for long enough, one of the 2 women and I went up to have a quiet word with the owner and ask him to ask the group to tone it down a bit. After all, the "cafe experience" should be for everyone. One of the owners came over and told us " they are just having a laugh" then the second owner came over and shouted in an extremely aggressive and intimidating manner that we could sit elsewhere if we didn't like it. I was so shocked at his bad attitude I said "wow" and he continued to be verbally abusive. In the end I left almost in tears and certainly won't be back. It's a pity these owners haven't learned anything from the previous complaints.
