After a lovely day birdwatching on Salisbury Plain we called in to get some tea about 5.30pm. I had fish and chips ,hubby had sausages and chips. Went onto the plain to eat it well....the fish was grey and had no taste at all it looked off,the batter was totally burnt. Chips ok. Hubby's sausages very well done. This place used to be amazing food not any more I actually put it in the bin on the way home. Will not return ....it's not a cheap meal anymore either. Disappointed.

Our first time ordering from here, the fish and chips were fine, but the cheesy chips were terrible. It tasted horrible, and the cheese was definitely out of date. Very disappointed because they've received excellent ratings.

Best chip shop near me and I live 20 miles away

First time using, fish not too bad, but chips are horrendous, like chewing on the cardboard container. Won't be returning unfortunately.

Got the medium fish and chips. It was MASSIVE. probably enough for two people, not gonna lie! Fish was delicious and flaky but I felt the batter was a little too oily on the top and a little mushy on the underside. Chips were decent chippy chips. All round, solid.

First time in long time having fish and chips from here , oh my lord I was not disappointed, the fish was amazing and a good size coupled with plenty of chips to say I was stuffed to the gunnels is an understatement, to be honest I couldn’t finish it as there was loads and at a very good price as well , i will be having fish and chips from here more often , absolutely top notch food

One of the best Chip shops around the area.

Unfortunately this has gone down hill, I don't know why... Last few times have been okay but this has topped it for me... It used to be great but just had a delivery (the delivery man was lovely and kind) but the food was not good, the chips were not fresh.. None of it tastes fresh either, like the fryer oil wasn't fresh. Probably won't be back and wouldn't recommend. Such a shame.

Easy going and provides what you expect from a good chippy in the south

We use this chippy frequently and being totally honest the fish is always really nice, not over cooked, good size, flaky and very tasty but the chips unfortunately are not that good, a lot of small hard pieces and joy many proper chips. Service is good but when busy can take ages even for just one portion.

Little bit of a delay after pre ordering but was absolutely worth the wait. Absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend

Staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is always piping hot and straight out of the frier. A great little place.

Great fish and chips and huge portion at a reasonable price despite the cozzy livs. Service excellent despite it being a the weekend and a queue. Opposite the Ram and some local youths doing graffiti outside but you can't have everything!

Have been stopping every Friday for the last 10yrs, always had excellent food and service.But at late since they now offer delivery and on-line ordering the walk in customers are made to suffer and can wait upto 30mins for your food.instead of the staff serving the shop customers they concentrate on the online and deliveries. Since Marius left service in going down hill.

This chippy serves an excellent meal, the cod is soft and flaky, batter is crispy but melts in the mouth. The chips are excellent, bit of a crunch then straight into the soft fluffiness inside. I stop whenever in the area. Lovely staff, beautiful genuine smiles and welcome. I need to apologise to them, I posted a review that was intended for a similarly named chippy in weson super mare, I am now correcting that error, this one is Tidworth, this is excellent!

Rather expensive for fish & chips (like London prices; I don't know, I was passing through, is Tidworth an especially expensive place to run a business?) but decent quality and a proper portion size, and service with a smile.

Expensive and average to be fair

I use the Atlantic fish bar quite often and have never experienced a less than perfect meal, have tried others around Wiltshire and Hampshire, but Atlantic fish and chips in my opinion can't be beaten And the staff are very welcoming and friendly

Fish and chips is tasteless and stench of old oil..also poor customer service which resulted in not being given order being paid for..also the curry sauce and mushy peas was awful.

Order of cod and chips, battered sausage, mushy peas and curry sauce only took 5 min to come out. Fish and sausage were brilliant, chips - soft but tasted fine. Would recommend.

Way to long to wait for food. 30 minutes is not given your customers service, you know your busy period so carter accordingly.

Try their kebabs , they are lovely, they make their own bread which is to die for. Tidworth kebabs are going to be in trouble, now. HIGHLY recommend this place.

Got chips and an Efes beer from the adjacent Turkish restaurant. Gad very enjoyable chat with the owner, on duty late at night.

They say you can always tell a good fish and chips by the line on Fridays; and the lines are always out the door. Been here 6-7 times now and can honestly say they have never left me hungry or dissatisfied. Absolutely stand up cod & fluffy chips, can’t be the classics.

First time I've used the Atlantic Fish Bar. Wait time of 20 mins was acceptable. Cod was very good quality. Chips were a bit on the oily side.

Shocked to see no screens up and staff not wearing masks, way to much makeup for a food place, so it put off my food , the chips looked like they had been there awhile

It was really good quality food, always happy with the service and the owner is really kind person thanks to all staff

There was an extremely rude woman serving. My husband and I were waiting 40 minutes for our food while people who ordered after us were served. When I finally asked how long my food would be I was met with a very hostile and unfavourable response accompanied by some cold/ mediocre food. I shall not be giving this place my money again. I am disgusted.

Great traditional fish and chips at a great price

Ordered:Chips, Pea fritta, Cod, SavaloyChips tasted strangely different than many other fish and chip shops. The chips also came in mainly small pieces with most being crunchy; could say overfried. The savaloy was bland but palatable. The cod batter is stodgey so I would say mediocre. The Pea fritta was one of if not the best I've tried!Overall If you looking to save a bit come here but I'd much rather spend a bit more at Superfryfishbar just down the road.

We ordered our food today online and usually the orders are fine, this time however the chips were cold and stale and the battered sausages were cold and had a overpowering fish taste ,the batter on the sausage was not crisp but stodgy. I assume that they were cooked in old oil. Think will give them a miss for a while sadly.
