They have got rid of the tv screens but have so many beer pumps that the one member of staff struggles to pass the drinks over. Cannot possibly use six lager pumps at once. We did not stay as it was cold and smelt of bleach.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

Thought we’d try Bebington’s new gastro pub/bar, arrived here soon after 6pm last Friday and it wasn’t busy, oh well we crack on. The room is quite large, bar on the right, TV’s above it showing live football and live horse racing, no sounds from them though, just visuals (well at that time anyway). Music is playing and it is rather load and intrusive, tunes such as various disco and classic 80s were playing, good tunes actually but not at the level they were playing. We ordered a couple of drinks, there was no real ale on so I had a Guinness Sat at a table up on the left, it wasn’t warm in the room, my wife left her fleece/jacket on but the refurb was nice, you can see a lot of money had been spent. The waitress arrived with the menu and it looked good, lots to choose from I ordered the duck spring roll for starters and the chicken cheese bacon for main, my wife just went for a main, belly pork was her fancy. Unfortunately there was no belly pork, probably should have been removed from the menu beforehand but no bother, the salmon noodle dish was ordered. My starter arrived and I must admit it was bloomin lovely, really meaty, large, a very good start. However the room was still a little cold and the music was far too load for us to talk to each other over a meal, but hey ho. The mains arrived and they looked good, my wife’s salmon looked ace and she gave it a thumbs up, my chicken was slightly over-cooked but only slightly (and I am fussy on chicken) and some of the veg was a little over done too, but the chips were fantastic and all in all both dishes were good. Unfortunately it was still not busy, another couple were eating but they stopped further away down in the corner at the front, probably quieter. Then the emergency exit doors were opened and the disco for later arrived. So in an already cold large room the fire door is now wide open letting in the cold evening air, my wife was now very cold and now rather annoyed, I couldn’t disagree. Staff than started to make room for the disco, loudly moving tables and chairs, banging speakers around – all of this whilst we are trying to have a nice meal, oh dear. Once they got set up they then started testing the sound, yep so they blasted a few seconds of music several times, not a peaceful meal !!!! We finished our meal and decided against a dessert, my wife was fancying something on the menu but she said she was tired of the noise and the cold – I agreed with her, we paid the bill and left. On the plus side…….. Bebington needs different places for food and the food on a whole was pretty good. Staff seemed nice, our Waitress was chatty and helpful. Toilets have been nicely done. The place has been done out well, clearly somebody has invested a lot of money. The negative stuff………. Music far too load for an establishment selling gastro food, I simply couldn't hear what my wife was saying to me over a table. Sport on TV’s not really in the gastro theme either. Cold room. Disco arriving and moving tables whilst I was eating (and I mean right next to us). Not letting us know when arriving the disco was coming, should be informed when theme changing. They really need to decide what this place is, are they going down the gastro pub route then if so they need to ditch the load music and the disco now. TV screens above the bar, if a sports bar then it’s not a gastro pub or somehow divide the room up, sports bar at the front and food at the rear is a possibility ?? If it’s a disco venue bar then it is simply not a gastro pub (it cannot be both), sell snacks and change the seating plan around (hopefully before people are sitting in it), it is far too much noise whilst having a meal. Once a decision has been made what exactly they want to do then I may return, but unfortunately we won’t be returning if it stays the same and if I’m being honest, I don’t think it’ll last long in its present format - which is a massive shame. Good luck to connections and I hope to make the right decisions.

A party of four called in for Sunday dinner. Absolutely fantastic. Enjoyed by all. The meal was delicious. Particularly tasty were the duck spring rolls - the most delicious I've ever had. Wide menu choice. Wide drinks choice. Brilliant chef. Lovely new decor. Fair prices. Friendly staff - we even had a complimentary sweet each.

This place is very confused, it can't be a bistro with expensive prices and playing pop music, sports on the Tv above the bar....trying to be a local pub. Service was awkward. Menu is limited, however when we came to order, most of it was not available??

Turned up with a 1 and 2 year old and was blown away how attentive the staff were with my children which is always nice. A lady behind the bar put cartoons on the TV screens for the kids to watch which made my life so much easier and the portion size for the price, not to mention the presentation ! Blown away ! This is fine dining but with bigger portions, I will continue to return, great value for money

Called in for an early evening drink. Staff hadn’t been trained how to use the tills and it took ages to pay the bill, drinks seemed expensive unless the local rate for gin and tonic is £5.50 now, the bitter was off (and I don’t mean they didn’t have any, it tasted rancid). Any of these things can happen but to have them all on one’s first visit isn’t good. It has been open for a while. Also loud background music interrupted by adverts and televisions on over the bar. If the management want it to be a sports bar then fair enough but it can’t be that and a place for a quiet drink and also a restaurant. Speaking of which the evening menus had been removed from the notice boards outside with no explanation. That’s a pity because it was the menu that attracted us. I wish the place well as I live in Bebington and I don’t like seeing empty shops but it needs to change before I go back again, perhaps I’m not the age of customer they’re after.

Came across this establishment when on our way to another pub/eatery, Really fortunate for us yes, the food was excellent much more subtle then your normal pub food more in keeping with fine dining. Excellent selection of drinks and not as expensive as those in the area. Staff are very attentive and pleasant, a really enjoyable experience overall, will definitely come back again and again.

We did t know that this place had opened as we were on our way to another pub for a meal and drinks. Glad we stopped by. Drinks were well priced and the food was fantastic. Easily rated as fine dining, presentation and taste was fab. Couldn’t find anything negative about it. We will be back.

Ordered at 5.20 and starters arrived a 5.40 unfortunately soup was cold, taken away to be heated up and starter plates finally collected at 6.05, then we sat and sat waiting for mains to arrive, after asking for them they arrived at 6.20. Food was good but standard of service very poor I would have though all hiccups would have been sorted out by now as the place has been opened a while and in this day and age poor service shouldn't be accepted and a" sorry about that" does not help. Will be go again, probably just to see if things have improved.

We decided to give this place a try and we were very impressed. After a bit of a wait to get our food order taken we ordered duck spring rolls and lamb kofta to start. Our starters turned up quickly and they were well presented and delicious. Our mains, New York twist and steak salad were excellent. We (well my wife) thoroughly enjoyed the range of cocktails on offer and I enjoyed the Blue Moon. We live close to the Montgomery in Eastham which was for a while our dining destination of choice but No6 beats it in so many ways. Our anniversary is in August and we know where we will be celebrating.

Why oh why can't you put a V sign on vegetarian food? I know you have a vegan menu (there is a difference between vegan and vegetarian, just lazy to have just vegan and think it will suit vegetarians). All menus should have V signs and also there is no mention of food intolerances, gluten free not mentioned either. On a sunny day there is outside seating but not one sun umbrella so too hot to sit out in bright sun. Noisy radio playing inside too, sad as this place used to be good and lovely environment. Won't return.

Mysterious, Quirky, Intriguing and most certainly very original and different. Whilst the Fort Perch Rock as a fort is closed to the public, the Cafe Eatery inside and open air and along the ramp is open and worth trying out. The Cafe is atmospherically dark like the bowels of a ship but quite an experience and the food menu is very reasonable. Be brave ..... and visit .... just for an experience.

My last visit a few years back with my family left much to be desired regarding the food quality. However, today's experience was utterly different. I enjoyed lovely fish and chips, featuring a generous portion of fish and crispy and hearty chips. The service was pleasant, and witnessing your efforts cleaning an already immaculate-looking establishment was pleasing. The staff was courteous and amiable towards my grandson. Continue on this path; you're doing a splendid job. We would not return we could not all have breakfast at the same time so could not eat with our daughter, husband and grandson. Could not eat at the times we wanted it was very short staffed and food items not topped up as they ran out so constantly having to ask for things like milk, butter, bread ,juice etc on the last morning the sausages were not even cooked properly it was a right fiasco we would not return here again.
