We have dined here many times and the overall standards are. Always excellent

First time and definitely go again. Lovely staff very welcoming and advised regards meal choices. Food served very well. We went mid week at 7.30 so not a lot of people in hence atmosphere wasn’t great but staff made up for it.

Had a fabulous night there for my birthday. Food delious, staff lovely, excellent service, would definitely go again.

We were visiting family in the area and made our first visit. We were a table of five and had fantastic attentive service. Roman was our server and did a great job. He was polite friendly and hospitable. The food was excellent. We shared the hot and cold mezze starters and we all had different mains and all agreed that each were excellant. We shall all be back. Thanks for a lovely meal!

The staff were lovely, but the food was a total let down. Mediocre at best. The vegetarian moussaka was bland and was as if frozen peas and sweetcorn were used to fill it out. The octopus dish was distinctly average, tasted ok, but not hot enough. Would not go again.

If you want to be looked after and try some of the best food in Scarborough then Askim's is guaranteed to tick every box, the service is 2nd to none, the cocktails are unreal and the atmosphere is 10/10. Must try if you’re from here or just visiting! Special thanks to Sal & Umut who both went above and beyond to make our meal special.

Stopped here for spur of the moment tea. Excellent staff with care and attention to detail I've not seen before. Food was also delicious, slightly pricey but service and quality more than made up for this.

Wonderful place in Scarborough. Decided to go based on other reviews and we weren't disappointed. The staff were lovely and had a good sense of humour. The restaurant was busy (meaning some waiting to be served initially, but very quick service after that). It had a nice buzz and a live musician playing the keyboard which was a nice touch. The food was incredible - everything we had was cooked well, leaving the meats tender and juicy. Everything was nicely seasoned and had great flavours - the lamb shish was a particular highlight. Great restaurant and great staff - overall a brilliant meal, thank you!

Today we had food at this restaurant and the food quality and taste was good however the way we treated at this place is not welcome… They should treat everyone equally irrespective of their appearance… As we also pay the same price for the food unlike others…

Went for a late lunch before going to see john Bishop at the spa and it was brilliant. Spotted this place on trip advisor and so glad we gave it a go. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. Will defo be visiting again next time we are in the area.

Such loving service, especially from Roman! He and everyone made us feel very much at home and we had a splendid time. The food is excellent and our girlfriend was celebrating her birthday, they prepared a beautiful cake and the whole restaurant sang with us!❤️

First time visiting tonight and it certainly won't be our last, we hadn't made a reservation and even though the restaurant was mega busy they still managed to fit us in, the food was absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere was just as good, we will definitely be back again soon🥰

Having previously eaten here earlier in the year, re booking was an easy choice,but on arrival to our booking the queue was out the door an on to the street...busy evening we thought....we spoke to a member of staff showing our booking to be informed by all around that they too were waiting for tables also booked in....imagine our shock and confusion...we left an extremely busy, over booked restaurant.I understand you may double book to cover yourselves, but that was ridiculous not even an apology....and later in the evening to receive a txt from your systems to state thank you for your visit and please leave a review, was just an insult. Very disappointing I know that I will not be alone in my experience and yes we could of waiting but when you have made a reservation it's principal.Hope you rectify this soon....as I work in hospitality, I don't like to leave negative reviews, but hopefully you will improve booking system.

I absolutely liked this restaurant before, but the service is horrendous. Yesterday we waited for 15 minutes to be sitted only for us to get kicked out from the table. Overall attitude of the writers was not great, and I would even say rude. I would not visit this restaurant ever again.

Came here with friends last night. The place was full so good job they'd booked & the atmosphere was lively. The staff were excellent from start to finish, as was the food. I had octopus starter & lamb combo mains, all washed down with a few Efes. Would defo go again!

This was an experience that is exceptional in Scarborough. Fabulous food( ok had that elsewhere) Unbelievable staff(so friendly, fast service, very attentive and (most important) SMILING!! Brilliant!!

Happened on it by chance. Absolutely first class. Menu – one of those where you ponder over it for ages because you could have picked anything, so difficult to choose out of such a selection. The food we did choose? Perfect. Cooked to perfection. Service – fast and attentive yet unobtrusive. Price – one would pay much more for food and service.

This restaurant was 12/10. Super speedy service, lovely staff and perfect food on a fully booked Saturday night. Had a strawberry mojito which was also very nice! One member of staff even ran to open the door for us on the way out! Cannot fault the place. Will be back!

My wife and I made a spontaneous visit to Askims for dinner, and what a gem of a place this is. We hadn’t made a reservation, and although the place was packed we were shown to a lovely table for 2. We tried 6 starter dishes between us as we wanted to try things we hadn’t eaten before. Every thing we ordered was absolutely stunning, this was some of the best food we’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. To top it all off we were looked after by Sal, who is the best smelling man in Scarborough.. he made a perfect night complete with his exceptional service and friendliness. In fact every member of staff that served us during the evening were exemplary and made us feel so welcome. It’s safe to say we will be back when we return to Scarborough!!

A group of us celebrated a birthday and had a fab experience. The food was really good and rhe service we couldn't fault. The staff even brought out a cake and the while restaurant joined in with a happy Birthday. We would definitely go back

Highly recommend. Very friendly staff, they saw us in and out, we didn't book but it wasn't a long wait only about 15 mins so you should book. Food was absolutely amazing! and very fast seen as their so busy, £60 for 2 sides 2 mains and 3 drinks. It's a Turkish food place but I would die for the spaghetti bolognaise again!

Food was delicious. I had crispy kalamari followed by a generous portion of salmon (recommended by waiter)with potatoes and salad. Very friendly, stylish, modern and clean restaurant. Will definitely eat here again. Well worth a visit.

Went for lunch yesterday with husband and 1yr old asleep in pram. We were the only people in there as I think it is maybe more if an evening meal place. However this suited us perfectly, it was so quiet and daughter slept the whole time so we could enjoy our meal! The lovely man who served us was so nice. He was attentive by taking our order in a timely manner and giving us recommendations on how to make our meal more enjoyable but left us to eat in peace with minimal interruptions. The food was delicious, we had the halloumi and lahmacun starter which were amazing, we then had the yogurt lamb shish, which is my go to as have had it before and enjoyed it! It didn't disappoint. We had asked when we first arrived if we could take home what we didn't eat but I couldn't stop eating it, it was so tasty! Highly recommend this place have been a few times now and it has always been enjoyable.

Quiet inside but really nice and well kept, food amazing (halloumi and the falafel for starter and baklava for dessert the best I've ever eaten!), Charcoal chicken really tasty and loved. Staff very friendly and nice definitely coming back next year.

First time visiting, deffo one of the best Turkish restaurants we’ve been to. Staff were really attentive and polite, food came out really quick, everything was spot on from start to finish. Restaurant was full by 6 o’clock , says a lot. Would return.

A large, friendly Turkish restaurant. Serves good portions of really tasty food. The kebabs are great but so is everything else. Complimentary bread and sauce wins you over from the outset.

The food wasn't excellent. The ezme salata was watery, and the tomatoes weren't ripe. My grilled seabream was good. The butter potatoes taste only of butter, not in a good way. My grilled sea bream was nice. My mother's lamb shank was dry and didn't taste great.

No. 1 on TripAdvisor for a reason, the service is as good as the food.

Really enjoyed our first visit. Great menu choice, stylish decor, very clean. Staff were quick to serve us despite being very busy. Lamb Moussaka was delicious. Tried Turkish red wine with it, yummy. The staff are probably the friendliest anywhere!

Wow! Wonderful meal from start to finish. Partner had a lamb chop on his kebab and said it was the best lamb chop he had ever eaten. Chilli sauce amazing. Service was brilliant from start to finish they couldn’t do enough for you.

What a find. We were in Scarborough for a concert and needed an early meal. The team at Askim's were really welcoming and, oh my gosh, the food... It was incredible!! I just wish we lived closer so we could come back more often. This will be our "go to" restaurant when we're back in Scarborough.

Came away to Scarborough for my sons 18th. Found Askims and I have to say the staff, the food, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. Couldn't fault anything. The highlight was the head chef dismantling my tiger prawns and putting more sauce over them. The care and attention to detail was wonderful. We felt looked after and we had a wonderful evening. Can't thank them enough.

We were greeted by a very charming young Man named Umut, from the start he was pleasant, charming and funny. From the time we sat down to the time we left. The food and service was 2nd to none, my Wife and I had the lunch time special menu 3 courses and it was yum. We shall be visiting their branch in Grimsby as we are on a traveling holiday. The restaurant is current, warm vibe and nicely laid out. Well worth a visit.... Junaid and Trish

The reviews on trip advisor of this new place led us to try it….and it did not disappoint! Met on entrance and shown to our table, drinks arrived quickly and the menu was extensive. Ordered falafel and borek for starters and they were so tasty, the borek was the best I’ve ever had! My husband always checks out other diners choices (not always discretely either haha) and he had the Askims special, I had the yoghurt chicken. Absolutely fantastic! The meals were beautifully presented, piping hot, and so delicious! The team are keen to please, and the atmosphere was buzzing. Everyone looked to be really enjoying themselves and there were people that were clearly happy returners. A lovely touch of raki on the house to finish, and escorted on leaving by a lovely young waitress. Highly recommend visiting this lovely place, we will definitely be back …. Thankyou Team Askims!

Very expensive rubbish food and service. If you wan to pay silly prices for unethical service and meat dishes without any mediterranean herbs or ethnicity this is the place for you! Absolutely terrible!
