Great night, service and food. Will come again for sure.

We came in for dinner with three small children and the service was absolutely impeccable. We were tended to without feeling crowded or intruded on. The food was brought out quickly and was delicious. We asked for a custom pudding order and staff happily obliged. Everything was lovely, would highly recommend

The waiters were very kind and helpful and even chose a recommended dish which was delicious!

We booked for a table of 8 ladies we we're greeted at the door and had a joke with the waiters who were absolutely fantastic as it was a packed satdy night ..very attentive and funny ...loved our food very tasty also the cocktails were impressive..so glad we booked as people were waiting for tables ...had a fantastic night would recommend and go back the staff were brilliant x

We were recommended Askims and it didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent, almost taking you away on holiday. When you arrive you are greeted by the door and taken to your table. Everyone was very attentive but that waned a little once we had our main meal. Now WE had to ask for the dessert menu. After, what turned out to be a small misunderstanding in the team, which was dealt with immediately, we had some baklava, which was amazing, and paid and left. We were told that as this was a fairly new restaurant, they had a few fairly new members of staff who were still training. We gave a 4 for service because it just felt like we had service and attention upto the main meal but then asking for a menu felt like they had turned their attention to other newer customers, as we had already eaten. I hope this was not the case and they pick up on this point of feedback because it was a really nice place to eat with FANTASTIC food. We would definitely recommend and return.

The food here is amazing and the place is well worth visiting. The only downside to our visit was that where we were sat it was quite loud and so it was difficult to hear each other and have a conversation.

The food was average and expensive. Small portions. Nice staff and ambience.

Staying in Whitby and usually visit Scarborough to eat at the lovely Italian restaurant which was closed. Found this super alternative place to eat. Turkish food restaurant that had a lovely selection of different foods on a good value set menu. Great atmosphere and service from Umut and Dominic. The main menu looked tempting and if we were local we would definitely be regular visitors to sample them all.

Quiet on the day we were there but service and food was wonderful.

Another excellent meal at Askims. The restaurant was busy with a great atmosphere but this didn't cause any problems with the fast and friendly service.

I stumbled upon Askims on a day trip to Scarborough. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. I had the mixed kebab with rice and an extra side salad. Complimentary warm flat bread and dips were provided whilst I waited for my food tombe prepared. I would definitely visit again.

The four of us went to Askims restaurant at the end of February for a birthday meal and celebration. The staff are friendly, funny and very attentive. The atmosphere had a great vibe with a good cross section of people enjoying their evening. The food was first class with delicious meats, bread and dips. We all enjoyed our experience there and we will definitely return.

Always a brilliant place for a truly tasty meal and great service by Sal again he really always makes you feel so welcome .

Booked a table for 5 at the end of February. The place was packed when we arrived, a long queue of customers stretching onto the street. We waited 15 mins before we were even approached by staff, and when this happened it was obvious a table wasn't ready what's the point in booking!! Eventually after another wait we were shown to a table crammed into a corner, no apology for the wait! It was tight to sit down and very loud! The whole place gave off a canteen vibe, v noisy and chaotic..not for us, we walked out.

A friend took me for a birthday lunch, great food and brilliant service, the staff knew it was my birthday and made it more special with a piece of caramel cheesecake with sparklers in it and stood and sang happy birthday, I had a lovely time and would recommend going here.

What a great night me and the mrs had top notch food service and presentation we booked 8 and was extremely busy when we got there we just thought well we were going to have a bad experience but wow how wrong was we our server roman went above and beyond to serve us take our order and keep is hydrated to be fair all staff was on hand no stone left unturned and nobody waiting round too long the food and everything was 10/10 definitely recommend and thanks again roman we will be back

Really nice place, brought my friend here for her birthday. They did a birthday cheesecake with fire and sang to her :) made her a special cocktail too. Really great food. And really good price

We called as 2 x couples, very busy evening but were promptly served with food and drink which was excellent but then a massive let down, one of our party who was driving asked for a coffee but was told he couldn't get one due to the bar staff being too busy serving cocktails, WOW we were totally gobsmacked, got the bill and left immediately,such a shame spoilt what should have been a lovely evening.

Great Turkish restaurant with wonderful food and friendly staff. My wife had the sea bass w sautéed potatoes which she said was delicious & I had the vegetarian guvec, which is basically a kind of veg stew in halep sauce which was lovely. For dessert she had a huge helping of tiramisu & I had the sutlac (cold rice pudding) which was sublime!

Excellent food firstly, and service was generally excellent ...until the staff decided they wanted our table and refused to serve desserts unless we left and took it with us! Given we had booked a table for a two hour slot and weren't even an hour in this wasn't a great impression. Clearly they'd decided getting rid of a booked table asap in favour of walk in diners was more profitable. A shame as otherwise the experience was positive, but we left with a bad impression given the amount we'd spent in an hour.

Very good, I laughed at servants who were tricking me!! This restaurant is very good and delicious.

Food good, but do not get the cold mezze, extremely over priced. Basically five very small pots of sauces for £20. Everything else was good quality food price reasonably fairly.

I turned up to the busy restaurant without a booking on Saturday 15th Feb Valentine Weekend, Roman looked after us and fitted us in, the atmosphere was amazing, all the 4 staff members I spoke to were friendly and attentive, I had the lamb shank and tried the mix grill which were all amazing. I eat at restaurant all over the country and can honestly say it was a great experience and would thoroughly recommend a meal here and be better served by Roman and team - Faheem Manchester

The better half booked Askims for my birthday, which was easily done using their online booking system. Upon arrival we were greeted by a warming smile and seated to our table with a follow up server with a drink and food menu. The menus were comprehensive and had a great choice of starters & mains which paid homage to Turkish traditions with a modern twist. Both of us opted for the Chicken Sarma Beyti which was delightful, full of flavour and presented wonderfully. The atmosphere was great too, with other customers taking interest in other meals and drink orders, especially with cocktail orders being presented with flare and pizazz. This all adding to an already pleasant experience. Would 100% recommend, even to those somewhat worried about trying Turkish Cuisine! I will most definitely be back.

The food here was ALL absolutely delicious! I'm not usually keen on Kofte however the lamb kofte here was amazing! It was more like layers of lamb rather than minced like I've had before. We had the houmous and dips, lamb shish, chicken shish, lamb chops and lamb kofta all of which was super tasty and beautifully cooked. The service was impeccable too, can't wait to go back. We'd be there every week if we lived closer!

If you like refreshing flavours, go for the cold mezze platter and bread. Hot platter is good if a meat lover. ImamBayildi is an experience. Must have for all Aubergine lovers. Flavours are subtle and not punchy spicy like Indian food. Would recommend to everyone who likes spice but appreciates the original flavour of food. Loved the Falafels and dips. Loved the hospitality and friendliness of service. 5/5 stars for that.

Had a great time at this restaurant in Scarborough! The food was packed with flavor, and the portions were just right. Our waiters—Roman (especially him, a great guy), Sebastian, Dominik, and Sal—were super attentive, making sure everything was perfect. The vibe was warm and welcoming, and it was fun seeing how they celebrated birthdays, adding a nice personal touch. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Checked Trip Advisor for places to eat in Scarborough and we decided to try Askims. Booked on line which was nice & easy, the restaurant kept in touch via text. Shown to our table straight away with a warm welcome, they have live music and this along with a full house created a great atmosphere. Shared a veggie platter, then Salmon & Vegetarian Lasagne. Will definitely be back when we next visit the area

The Askims special kebab was fantastic. The meat was super fresh and red hot when it arrived at the table, the salad was also lovely and fresh. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable for a "high end" quality restaurant. The restaurant cleanliness was impeccable. We will be going again !! 10/10 😁👍🏻

The food is fantastic!! Our group was all veggie, and there were lots of options and everything we had was delicious. All the dishes were fresh and flavourful. The service was great, everything was very friendly. I can't wait to come back here next time I am in Scarborough.

What a wonderful place this is. Second time we've been here and it won't be the last. The food is delicious and the waiters are very attentive. We bought a bottle of wine and were given tasters of each one before we decided on the wine we wanted. Every time the glass was nearly empty a waiter appeared to refill it. Excellent service. One of the best restaurants I've visited ! We only went for a late lunch/early dinner but couldn't find fault in any area of the experience. The food was delicious and generous portions, they even catered for my gluten free vegetarian wife, they were very knowledgeable regarding allergies and couldn't do enough to help. Even the house wines were gorgeous. I really can't recommend this place enough, if you haven't tried it yet, you should, you won't be disappointed !

Absolutely a fantastic service all way round. The food was beautiful and the staff were excellent. This was our 1st visit but we will be back again. Father in law and my husband both gave it a 5 star as well ( hard to please with some places lol). Thank u for an excellent evening.

First time and definitely go again. Lovely staff very welcoming and advised regards meal choices. Food served very well. We went mid week at 7.30 so not a lot of people in hence atmosphere wasn’t great but staff made up for it.

We were visiting family in the area and made our first visit. We were a table of five and had fantastic attentive service. Roman was our server and did a great job. He was polite friendly and hospitable. The food was excellent. We shared the hot and cold mezze starters and we all had different mains and all agreed that each were excellant. We shall all be back. The staff were lovely, but the food was a total let down. Mediocre at best. The vegetarian moussaka was bland and was as if frozen peas and sweetcorn were used to fill it out. The octopus dish was distinctly average, tasted ok, but not hot enough. Would not go again.

If you want to be looked after and try some of the best food in Scarborough then Askim's is guaranteed to tick every box, the service is 2nd to none, the cocktails are unreal and the atmosphere is 10/10. Must try if you’re from here or just visiting! Special thanks to Sal & Umut who both went above and beyond to make our meal special.

Stopped here for spur of the moment tea. Excellent staff with care and attention to detail I've not seen before. Food was also delicious, slightly pricey but service and quality more than made up for this.

Wonderful place in Scarborough. Decided to go based on other reviews and we weren't disappointed. The staff were lovely and had a good sense of humour. The restaurant was busy (meaning some waiting to be served initially, but very quick service after that). It had a nice buzz and a live musician playing the keyboard which was a nice touch. The food was incredible - everything we had was cooked well, leaving the meats tender and juicy. Everything was nicely seasoned and had great flavours - the lamb shish was a particular highlight. Great restaurant and great staff - overall a brilliant meal, thank you!
