Lovely food, friendly staff and good service.

Service in here was shocking. Server looked as though she didn’t want to be there, the manager on duty (bald man in a white shirt) coughed right next to our table without covering his mouth. Food was really good despite the service, we had the veggie carbonara and the margarita pizza. Not one check back. Got the bill, realised we’d been charged for two lots of garlic and cheese chips (we only received one but didn’t query it as we had probably over ordered anyway and one portion sufficed) after telling the server her response was ‘oh that’s not good’ no apology in sight. Took 10 minutes for the bill to be rectified. Wont be back, it’s a shame as the food was really good so hats off to the kitchen.

Mimoza is the best singing waitress in the metro centre. Really lightened up our time at Ask Italian! 🫶

The lady who served us was just a breath of fresh air! So friendly, polite and helpful !! I can’t remember her name but She had dark curled hair and we chatted about my hair length ect , she made our meal great with just how lovely she was!! will defo be back! Food was great

Been to ASK today with my family and was served by Ellis - absolutely amazing service dealing with all our quirks and requests. Also the host who seated us (who's name I didn't get) was so friendly, and went the extra mile with conversation. She also got us a space for the pram during a very busy period. Restaurant was very busy and both members of staff still took the time to chat to us and we didn't feel rushed at all. This is not the first time weve had great service at the metrocentre branch of ASK so felt it warranted a good review. Thanks again to the team :)

We decided after a long time to go to Ask Italian restaurant again. I know from previous experience that the food is great and so is the service. Food prices have increased significantly, but it's like that everywhere...

Great food super service and exceptional menu choices.

Great Service, food very average. The staff were very good, we ordered the Bruchetta with Cheese to start it was very disappointing. For mains we ordered a Pasta Dish with Chicken and Bacon, again very average. Our Bill came to over £50 with a small glass of wine and an apple juice. The Service staff were great, we have had much better supermarket meal deals.

Not always easy to find good food when in the metro centre, but this restaurant is consistently good. The pizzas are decent, especially the goats cheese one and we love the fact there are nice vegan options as well. Staff are super friendly, with good knowledge of the menu and always happy to advise

Quiet when we arrived, but soon filled up, with a lively atmosphere. Meals were all excellent 3 of the party had pizza, and the Manzo Piccante was delicious too. Our server, Janis was very, professional, efficient and courteous. A lovely pre- cinema meal. Thank you

Arrived to a fairly empty restaurant and waiter tried to seat us squeezed next to another family (why?? The restaurant is empty!) Food was prompt and tasty. We were looking forward to returning as we live locally and the food was decent quality. However at the end of our meal the waiter asked for a tip and stood over us as we selected the amount. So uncomfortable! It felt manipulative. Such a shame as we would have been repeat customers. The vulgar begging for tips spoiled the experience and we won’t be back.

Had the worst experience here food was awful dry salty overcooked pasta all three we ordered were bland obviously pre cooked and microwaved to re heat one lad staff member was very rude very expensive and drink choice rubbish we'll never return here and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Came in last night for a meal and it was really lovely! As a veggie its alway nice when staff/chefs are accommodating so having carbonara without the pancetta made my night. Our servers were all lovely and super friendly.

My main food was cold and with having meat in it I didn’t eat it. They apologised and offered me a free desert, but still charged me for my uneaten main that was cold at the bottom.

Great scran that. I smashed in the prawns, she had lasagne nuggets, I'm told they were lush. Wor lass had a salami misti pizza, she never said a word to me until the last slice, when help was required. Naturally, as a top lad, I consumed the rest of it for her. I had Brisket Pappardelle A.KA. posh spag bol. 100% pure taste, I got extra chilli in mine, would recommend. Great service canny food.

First visit & really impressed. Food as goid as local pizzeria restaurant. Went to their rival with Italia in the name & that was so poir. No comparison abd will definitely be returning here.

Uber eats order delivery. Only one pizza arrived & was awful. £50 for one pizza because the other one didn’t arrive and no refund. Disgusting thieves.

Ordered the 5 chicken piece starter as a main with chips, came out after a while and only 4 was on the plate. The whole plate was then taken and had to wait about 10 minutes for the plate to return with the extra chicken piece on. They were tasty however if you don’t like butter then it’s all you can taste. My mam ordered the asparagus pasta, told there was no asparagus. The plate was £16 and looked as if it was a kids meal. Our waitress was lovely, however for the price paid, the missing food, and the small portions I will not be returning.

Coke here a lot with my partner and can 100% say we have never been disappointed with the food or survive. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the food is always consistent from presentation to taste. This is defiantly one of are favourite places to come

We are from Norway and have been on holiday in England for a week. This is the first restaurant that took our son’s serious dairy allergy seriously. He got to eat a pizza which he says was the best he’s ever had (he’s 17!) The manager came and took our order and explained that my son’s pizza would be made in an area away from other food preparation (to avoid cross contamination) and by a separate chef.

I ordered the vegan pizza and it was the worst vegan pizza I have ever had. I also paid £1.95 for a mushroom toppings and it's was laughable how few bits of mushrooms were on my pizza. It look like one mushroom had been chopped into 5 bits. The server was lovely, but I would never go there again. My partner got the seafood risotto and he said it was nice, but the portion was tiny. Not impressed at all.

Lovely food, great customer service and very fairly priced. Excellent table service today (4th sept) credit to the lady serving us, she really does go above and beyond. Couldn't falt the food, all great and will be back many times over. Back to Ask, for the first time in over a year. The food was lovely, drinks great and staff were well.

Very disappointing visit to Ask Metro Centre. Food was ok but our server just seemed to not let us speak when ordering. After food arrived my dish which was chicken was a bit tough, but I ate all the same. Once we finished We were asked if we wanted dessert, we refused but asked for the bill, the server left the table, not clearing it before she presented us with the bill.

To start, the restaurant is very cold. The food arrived with one main missing and two orders of chicken were very poor quality and overcooked. Vegetables and potatoes were cold and in very small portions, in general the food portions are smaller than they used to be. After speaking with the manager they just apologised and didnt know what else to really say, there was no promise that the chef will get the feedback, no promise it will improve. Tonight was a special occasion and it was basically ruined. Also worst garlic bread I've had in a while, folded up flavourless nonsense. We decided to leave without dessert because it was so cold.

Once again, the food and service here were good. Lunch menu reasonably priced and food tasty. Drinks a little expensive but as expected.

We visited for a quick lunch . Both of the meals were absolutely delicious . I had the carbonara, hubby had spicy meatballs and pasta . The meals were very fresh and made very well came in a timely fashion. We were offered their own made lemonade was lovely definitely worth a try . The staff were all very polite and were happy to help when we asked for more drinks this restaurant is definitely recommend its one of the better ones in the metro centre. Prices are very reasonable. Drinks are a bit expensive, but i think drinks always are .

Overpriced bland food with small portions. The drinks markup was the worst. £7 for a bottle of ale, £6 for cider and £3.25 for small bottles of coke. No effort to spread people around the restaurant, we were all up against the back wall, asked to sit elsewhere but was told it was reserved, still empty when we left. Waitress was pleasant but would not be returning until the price matched the worth.

We booked this place for a post cinema dinner having never been before. We were shown to out table by very attentive waitress who was really friendly and very interested in what our 7 year old grandchildren. The drinks order was taken and brought to us quickly. We ordered a few nibbles and starters which were very good. I had the "love it" pizza Calzone which was very tasty and filling. Everyone in our party was well satisfied with the food. The location is great if you are in the Metro Centre for shopping or visiting the cinema. Thank you to the staff.

We had a great lunch. There was a bit of a wait for a table but that was understandable as it was the start of the Christmas sales so lots of people about. First time in Metrocentre's Ask. Friendly attentive staff, food for a chain was better quality than other similar places, appeared fresher and came out quick (didn't hear any mircowave 'pings') not cheap, as a lot of places aren't nowadays but not surprising. We used vouchers, and feel there was some over charging going on whether accidental or otherwise (£6.95 for a tiny child side salad?), but overall it made decent pizza

Decent for lunch! Clean restaurant, pleasant staff, food was well presented and of decent quality, and they have a welcoming atmosphere for any group of adults with or without children. While this all sounds good, the food is somewhere between quality and quantity, and I'm not sure the balance is right. If you want a middling stop for lunch or light early evening food; great. If you're after a great quality dinner, maybe not. Desserts were great though! Try the brownie.

Couldn't tell you hat the food was like. Waited outside and the staff acknowledged I was there and said be with you in a minute. Waited 5 minutes to be then told "sorry we are closed and not taking any more people in to sit".
