Asia in Daventry

Love this restaurant, service is so friendly. Unfortunately we can’t go at the moment as have new dog who has separation anxiety. This review is therefore about takeaway. Food is hot, fresh and of excellent quality. Delivery always on time and delivered by pleasant driver.

Asia is consistently great for meals in the restaurant and takeaways .The food is always very fresh and beautifully cooked ! Lovely atmosphere as the staff are friendly and welcoming.Would most definitely recommend.

First time we'd visited here - after a trip to the local cinema. Good, friendly service. We both enjoyed the food. Good atmosphere - price as expected. Will definitely return again soon.

Not the most romantic, well decorated restaurant and we were a bit squished in 🙁 Staff were lovely. Ordered drinks & poppadoms, half hour later ordered mains - butter chicken, cheese nan, garlic & onion rice, chicken bhuna & keema nan. We waited 2 hours for mains 😳😳 2 hours. We were starving by the time they came. Food itself was delicious! Ordered more drinks (especially as we’d finished drinks an hour before our meals arrived) and by the time the next drinks came (coke and water, nothing complicated), we’d finished dinner 🫣 Food was lovely but we won’t be going back.

Arrived 15 minutes before closing in real need for a good meal and a beer after working late. I received a warm friendly welcome and had a delicious Chicken Jalfrezi with a Cobra beer. Really tasty dish with polite staff, in pleasant surroundings. Highly recommended.

Was staying in a nearby hotel overnight so decided to try this place. Nothing to grumble at. Food was great, service good, prices slightly above average. 2 mains, 2 rice, 1 side, 2 Naan's, 2 drinks and 1 dessert £63 Unusual place in respect of location and design. Think it was originally 2 houses knocked into one and turned into a restaurant. Every other property in the street is a house. Overall I recommend this place and would return if I'm in the area again.

Thought I would try going back to Asia after a break...use to be a regular customer for years. Tonight's dinner was the worst I have had from there ever. Baltis did not look or taste like a Balti. Made with Tikka chicken not just Chicken. Chicken Rezala very poor too - Tikka chicken again. None of us finished our meal. Don't leave negative reviews usually but this meal was horrible. Will not buy again

Well we tried Asia for the first time tonight and can honestly say it was lovely. food was Boiling hot when we got home plenty of food and flavour.

I received a happy birthday message on my birthday which was lovely! We then ordered a take away for my birthday treat, I asked for a recommendation on which curry to order and ordered it, delivery came within the 45 minute estimated time, the curries were delicious and I was given a complimentary bottle of wine, which was lovely and made my birthday dinner that little bit more special. Friendly, helpful and informative, I would highly recommend. Thank you Asia.

I’ve driven past this restaurant several times, so decided to give it a try for takeaway as it’s local.Easy online ordering process. The food was very flavoursome and of good quality. Really enjoyed the meal and plan to order again. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant once covid regulations allow it.

Really disappointed, the food is wonderful, but ordered over phone with a menu that was just out of date, not told this. We ordered a meal for 2 with a few minor changes, instead of letting us know the price had increased, just didn’t bother to put our whole order in( missed out 2 starters). When we called we were told it was tough, as they had given us a small discount for collecting. Not impressed with customer service! Buyer beware!

Well done to the staff at Asia for coping New Year’s Eve. They were inundated with orders. Most people had ordered online and they could not keep up. They were not answering the phone as they did not want to take anymore orders. We got our food eventually and it was lovely as usual.

Horrendous!!! They take orders and payment then turn off all forms of communication. Thought they had turned it around since they were closed down for having in acceptable hygiene levels! Will never use again!

Had a take away and very disappointed with Nan and poppadoms! Not sure that they were poppadoms ??? Nan was dry and cold! We usually get a good curry. Did email manager twice, but never received a reply!

The food and service at Asia has made it my number 1 place to visit in Daventry, the surrounding areas have really good restaurants but if it is Indian food that you are looking for you will have to travel a long way to get the same service and quality combined with a great authentic dining experience . A HIDDEN GEM !! With amazing staff

Visited with family, usually always have takeaway from Asia so knew it would be of a high standard. Staff are all incredibly welcoming and friendly, throughout the whole visit! Quickly took our orders and all food and drink were quickly served! Every dish was beautiful! So tasty and great portion sizes! The nan breads are thick and full of filling! Best cheese and garlic nan I’ve ever had!Staff checked that we were happy with the food and were happy and joking with us, great service. Quickly bought the bill over and helped us to work out the discounts! Can’t fault Asia at all, brilliant!Recently tried Voujon in Long Buckby to compare...big mistake, horrible food and awful service! 100% advise you to visit Asia instead!

We've had two deliveries from here. The first was excellent, we tried again tonight and we were not disappointed.Delivery arrived on time, the driver was lovely and unusually both delivery drivers followed our request to call not ring our door bell, something no other takeaway driver has done from any other restaurant in Daventry.The food was again most excellent. Honestly, we can't speak highly enough of the quality.

moved to the area recently & struggled to find a decent Indian restaurant until a few months ago.Don't be put off by the exterior the food is great, staff efficient & friendly. The cost is not exhorbitant either.All round an excellent Indian which we now visit on a regular basis & yet to have anything but a great meal.

At last we found the best Tandoori in the area!! Don’t be put off my this unusual exterior as once inside you will not be disappointed by the excellent food. Friendly and welcoming staff and they recommended a delicious dish Chicken Rojothi which was infused with mushrooms and garlic xx The prawn purée was excellent. Give it a try for takeaway or to eat in x you won’t be disappointed!

Firstly let me start by saying this review is a little late as we visited in the buld up to Christmas.Booked by phone a week or so in advance and the person who took booking was very helpful on phone.On arrival while table was not ready, and we were early, we were shown into an 'anex' to wait for table which was only a short while.When taking the meal order the staff were helpful in sugestions and which meals may be more spicy than others. Meals were very hot and tasty.Following the meal the staff were helpful in calling a taxi for us.

Ordered delivery using their website, I must say they know the game. A very polite guy (may be manager) called me and asked If I want the food at sharp 8 as I have chosen 8 pm from their website or do I want it any sooner? It was very professional conversation & spot on as I mistakenly selected later time. So, he arranged the delivery & I received the food within next 30 mins around. The food was really tasty and service was better then I expected. Definitely recommended

We ordered a takeaway and the food was beautiful. Service excellent best Indian I’ve had for a while

Slow service but worth the wait. We booked a table for 4 arrived at 1945. Seated quickly and poppadoms served quickly and fresh and tasty dips. But then took an hour to get main course. We could see take away’s flying out the door but we still waited. After eventually asking where our mains where they turned up within 5 minutes. However 1 was completely the wrong dish ! Maybe if they concentrated on the guests seated a bit more it may of got 5 stars. Next time we won’t waste money on eating in and drinks and get take away. Shame as the food was dam good however the slow service let it down.

I nearly made the mistake of ignoring the rating and taking notice of the photos of the restaurant instead. The photos made it look as though the restaurant was someone’s front room with a couple of tables and a take away. Whilst the restaurant is based in two converted houses, access is via a set of steps and it’s on road parking it’s a great little place.We were a party of 5, we hadn’t booked and we turned up at a busy time. None of this was a problem. We had a wait of a couple of minutes and then a suitable table was found.The food is really good, the prices are reasonable and the service was just about right (even though not all of the staff are able to raise a smile.I’d recommend the Chapa Chicken.Go, eat & enjoy.

If there is a better Indian restaurant in Daventry, for eat in or takeaway, I haven’t found it. If you have not tried the Asia, treat yourself.

Visited asia restaurant this evening. We have previously visited a few years ago and the food was great (travelled about 20 miles)but this time we were unfortunately disappointed.

As I was staying in Daventry at a local Hotel and did not fancy the food available there I decided to check out trip advisor. So pleased I did as I came across this Indian restaurant. What can I say but wow, the food was fantastic, the staff were exceptional & I met two lovely people sat next to me.

Delivered to my hotel. Negative points they are only 2 miles away and my starter was stone cold Aside from that the main and my naan were piping hot and very tasty so would definitely use again.

If you live in or around Daventry and have not visited the Asia Tandoori, you are missing our on a treat. The Indian food here is not only amazing, it’s plentiful, reasonably priced and a varied menue to suit every palate. A good night out should not just be about amazing food, it’s also about polite informative staff. This is where the Asia also excel, they are extremely friendly and after several visits one is treated like family. Simply the best.

Booked a table for six on Sunday buffet night. Place was rammed. We didn't notice any delays, food and service were fab. They do look after you really well here.

The food is delicious and comes in big portions. The service is great, you don’t have to wait much. The waiters are friendly and very receptive with client’s needs. Cozy atmosphere.

My first take away from here after only moving to Daventry in September, didn’t have to wait to long for the curry to be delivered, it was excellent, plenty of meat , great service don’t think I’ll try any of the others. Sorry didn’t take any photos. Would highly recommend

Living locally you always look further afield for quality but there’s absolutely no need to here. Hands down the best curry anywhere nearby, the food is to an incredibly high standard, fresh and very well done. Service is spot on too, our 3 year old treated like a princess and always asks to go back... we will be back very soon!

My go-to Indian, always helps when you can walk there but it is one of the reasons I moved closer to Daventry town centre.

I found this place on here and the reviews were amazing. I took a gamble as this was quite far out for me to travel for dinner. I have a dietary requirement in which I cannot have coriander on my food. Every time I go out for an Indian I ask for no coriander and it always ends up on my plate. Not this time! They were so attentive with my needs and always made sure we didn't need anything else. Honestly the food was amazing, probably my favourite Indian Rogan Josh I've ever had. My friend had the chicken patia and he also mentioned that it was the best one he's had. I will definitely be back here!! I would recommend to anyone to do the same!

We used trip advisor to locate an Indian Restaurant in Daventry, in which to enjoy an evening meal. We chose Asia Tandoori Restaurant, based on the reviews that we read. We weren’t certain about our choice, as in the photo of the restaurant, it looks like a converted residential house. We are so pleased we ignored our misgivings. The restaurant was spotless, with brilliant white tablecloths and napkins. The food was delicious and we received friendly professional service. A most enjoyable evening.

This is an outstanding restaurant, one of the very best places for a curry I know. And as a native of Bradford I know a good curry! It’s my #1 go-to place when I’m visiting Daventry. Never disappoints; and I always leave having had the best meal, with great and friendly service. Don’t think twice if you’re a real curry lover lost in Daventry.

I have eaten Indian food all over the world - and have also lived and worked in India. The food, service and atmosphere in the Asia is second to none.

If you're looking for a relaxed evening with great service and delicious food, this is the place to go. The menu has a good selection of classic curries and some house specials. The curries are flavorsome and not greasy at all with good portion sizes and it was nice to have chillies in the curry so you can decide how much heat you have. The staff were friendly and attentive, even booking a taxi for us at the end of the meal.

Second visit here whilst visiting Daventry, food is really good, excellent choice on the menu, different dishes than the “usual”. Staff are really friendly and the service is extremely good. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back!

OK, so when you arrive, you might be expecting something a little more glamorous from the outside, but once you come in the front door, everything is as good as you could wish for.

We have been coming to Asia for a long time now, whether it's just me and my partner or a group of us the food is always great and the staff are friendly and funny. Only problem I have is how much I like the food and how I tend to over eat when there!

Popped in as stayed over previous day for a wedding in the area. Recommended by a local taxi firm. Highly recommend this place. Waiters very polite and accommodating. Food fresh, light and non greasy. Best lamb dhansak I have had from an Indian restaurant, and a very reasonable price. If we are ever in the area again, we will pop in! Thanks guys.

Visited last night having not been back in such a long while, and despite me leaving it very last minute, Asia did not just accommodate us a table, but from the point of arrival made both myself, fiance and guests very welcome, delivering exceptionally presented food and attentive service, making it a very relaxed evening indeed, filled with great food, outstanding service and whitty sense of humour, no better way to spend an evening, highly recommended, and look forward to returning soon.
