Ashiana Restaurant in Fylde

Booked for 7pm arrived 6.50 seated in reception area for over 30 mins. Seated at table had pompodom and mango chutneys. Then waited at leat forty minutes for mains when it finally arrived my husbands meal had coriander in it which he is allergic to and had specifically asked not to be given this. They offered to Cooked another one but we had waited long enough. Other couples also walked out before receiving meals. Very very poor service. Then at 8.35 we had no booking and nowhere else to eat. Thanks for ruining are night. Will not return

Food was delicious as always, staff were quite rude and standoffish on several occasions throughout our evening. Everyone enjoyed the food they had though and it is a lovely restaurant

Me and my work colleague are working not too far and we thought we’d go enjoy a nice curry after work so we went to this establishment to be told we have to leave because our attire was a little bit dusty from a long day, I said I’m happy to brush our clothes down and he point blank said we couldn’t sit in , Our money is just as good no matter how we are dressed! We went to a place called Buraq who did not discriminate and sat us at a table straight away! I’m originally from Birmingham and have never been refused entry to an Indian establishment who serve food! I’m quite angry!

Amazing Place! We have been coming here for over 25 years, we have recommended it to friends, family and customers, and everyone has said it's the best place they've been to. It is getting busier every week so booking is advisable, however if you don't mind a little wait they will always find a table for you. The food is outstanding, and it's recently been refurbished and its looks very stylish. The staff are super friendly and your enjoyment is their priority. The food which is the most important point is amazing, super tasty, super fresh and cooked to order. The flavour's are perfection, we cannot fault this place at all.

Lovely Asian Meal As Always. The amazing, friendly, welcoming staff are so gracious and helpful. The atmosphere and ambience are as comfortable as home, but much more luxurious. The food is always fresh and tasty with many different styles and flavours. Starters of garlic mushrooms, chicken pakora, king prawn butterfly and seek kebab were all nicely presented and delicious. As were our main courses of Tandoori Cocktail, Chicken Korma, Chicken Shashlik and Murgh Massala. Followed by Salted Caramel Cheesecake and Vanilla Ice Cream. Lovely place, lovely people. We shall be here again very soon.

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years and its the best Indian restaurant on the fylde coast ! Ash,Shar and the team go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience, they also on hand to inform you about the menu and make recommendations on your needs, if asked! Always good value and great experience !!

The Ashiana has been there a long time 30years and still going strong. One of my regular places either take away or eat in. Always very consistent good staff, good parking. Hope it continues for many years very good restaurant.

Again an absolutely fantastic meal at the Ashiana. Staff are brilliant make it really special. Regularly eat there and tonight was awesome. Comfortable surroundings.

Nice food and efficient service. We have been here a few times and on our last visit it was one of the busiest times. Food obviously took a little longer but it’s not as if the staff were standing around doing nothing. They were busy attending to all tables. Suhel is one of the staff and goes out of his way to talk to people as he knows they are waiting he has a friendly approach and always has a smile. After having a little chat he apologises for the wait. Really great service and I could see some of the other staff members doing the same around the room. The food was good. Very flavourful and nicer than others I’ve had across the fylde coast.

Ordered in the waiting area before being taken to our seats with our starters waiting for us it was delightful the ambiance was very nice everyone was dressed sharp and was very attentive had a lovely meal we will come again.

Was very disappointed with the service and attitude of the staff. We had booked for 7pm we went in , got dinks then ordered food, got seated at table at 7.30 were the poppadoms we'd ordered were already there which was good. We then ordered a second round of drinks which came soon after but was then left waiting for our main course for over an hour and when we raised the matter was abruptly told that "Its busy, there's nothing i can do" no apology. We finish our drinks and left. It was 8.40 by this time. On the way out the we paid for what we had and complained again. Was met with same attitude. I'm discussed and disappointed with the way the saff were dismissive with any issues.

Food and service where excellent. Can recommend the Lamb Rogan Josh. Not too spicy for my taste. I’m not a lover of rice so had fries and they where very tasty. If I have to find fault with anything it would be there was no draught Cobra beer only bottled which wasn’t very cold and I would have liked more than 2 chops on my tandoori lamb chop starter. Even though it was a starter it was a bit small.

Lovely fresh food, great service and staff, was on holiday in Blackpool, Im from Glasgow, so was a great find.

This is a difficult review as I can only write how I felt and friends had same issue. We got a takeout and I was ill the next day, I’m not 100% sure that the food caused the issue but I don’t normally suffer from short illnesses. This has put me off eating a curry from any takeaway I have to say. I will leave it at this and hopefully you read until the end making your own judgement.

We decided on a whim to book a table for 2 on a Sunday at 5pm. Noticed a few new staff members who were very attentive and professional. Drinks ordered and was shown to a table near the window, We had not eaten here for 12 months but must say nothing had changed, Food was still of excellent quality and very tasty, best Indian we have tasted anywhere. Service was great and as the restaurant became busier we never felt rushed and was even told to take our time before ordering coffee. We would highly recommend the Ashiana to anyone.

We had a lovely meal at Ashiana. The food is always good, hence the restaurant was very busy. This caused the service to be a bit slow. But, everyone was doing their best and they apologised for the wait and brought us complimentary poppadoms. Unfortunately, there was a family & friends group in and their children proceeded to run up and down & round and round the restaurant shouting & screaming as if they were in a playground. Waiters with hot food were trying to avoid them and the restaurant manager had asked the parents to make the children sit down. Unfortunately, the children just carried on and several customers were getting ‘upset’ A customer told the children himself to sit down which then led to an altercation with the father. There were several exchanges of angry words and it led to an altogether unpleasant atmosphere. The children continued to run around and actually began to ‘taunt’ the complaining customers once they realised that they had their fathers backing. The restaurant owner seemed to be at a loss what to do as the father identifiable by his team tracksuit the manager of a local championship football team just allowed his children to disrupt the whole restaurant for two hours ! A lovely restaurant & great food spoilt by the unacceptable behaviour of other inconsiderate diners !

We visited as a large group. One plate was thrown down on the table splashing curry onto my husbands white top, when we raised this with the staff member they initially laughed, and walked off, we raised this again and all they could say was sorry. The staff were not very attentive at all, and when we went to pay the bill it had not been itemised, and were told to just split the bill equally as it was “easier” for them and they would not work the bill out. Food was ok but given the service we received we won’t be returning. The restaurant wasn’t busy so that can’t be used as an excuse. Disappointed.

We went to celebrate my husband’s 37th birthday with extended family and had a lovely time. Food was great, children’s menu very helpful for fussy eaters and everyone really enjoyed it. Staff helpful and knowledgeable for my vegan daughter.

Me and my partner went to the Ashiana for a nice meal after a hectic week, when we entered the restaurant we was pointed to a lounge area not spoken to the man was rude from the get go. He then carried on speaking to us like we was stupid asking if we would like to see the menu or If we knew what we wanted having never been there we didn’t know what we was having. We felt very uncomfortable at this point so decided to leave to then the Indian man that was front of house I presume he was the only person there and there was zero customers in the restaurant told us to f**k off then I have never been so shocked in my life what a disgusting way to run a business. I have told all my family and friends to avoid this place how it’s still open with staff that are that rude and ill mannered is beyond me.

First time trying this restaurant, and the last. Went on a Sunday to try the Sunday 4 course menu for £10.95. When we arrived, we were just pointed to a seat and given a menu. Left sitting for 10 minutes before our order was taken. 5 minutes later we were shown to our table. The first course of poppadoms awaited us, 2 broken poppadoms that had seen better days. Starters came 15 minutes later, and I have never seen such a small portion, I had the seekh kebab, which was just one average size kebab cut in half, husband had mixed kebab, which consisted of small onion bhaji, a tiny bit of seekh kebab and a small piece of lamb tikka. The main courses also disappointed, husbands was supposed to be bhuna, but was full of tomatoes and tasteless, I had khorai, which was ok, but quite bland. Acccompaniments were a naan bread, which was nice, and a tiny portion of mushroom rice, which tasted weird! And we were charged 80p for the pleasure of a few bits of odd tasting mushrooms!! Can’t see the point in doing a so called deal, if all you do is cut back on portions and quality. Others around us seemed to get more poppadoms, and much better service, maybe because they were regulars, as the staff seem to shake most people’s hands!! Very disappointed, one to avoid if you like to enjoy your meal

Food was good, compared to other places dishes were fair spicy but that suited us. Prices were good, service as expected and portions miles too big.

Polite helpful staff. Stopped as we were passing through during our 4 hour journey. But dissappointed and visit spoiled buy a family of which two customers were rascist towards us in the carpark afterwards. This curry house goes above and beyond for its customers. I’ve been many times with mates and with family. Staff are very friendly and helpful and food is great. They will even make staff curry for you with notice and it was the best curry I’ve ever tasted.

Just had a takeaway from this once flavoursome Indian restaraunt. Over the past 6 weeks, the restaraunt food has gone downhill, and wont be going back.

This place was always going to have its work cut out, my girlfriend loves Indian food and can be critical if it isn't good enough while I am not the biggest fan. We were both pleasantly surprised, her vindaloo was as good as anyones and my beginners chicken dhansak was excellent, starters were indifferent and service wasn't great but not the worst date ever

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time and have left quite disappointed and wouldn’t suggest it is a place to visit. Warm welcome on arrival, quite attentive until we were seated! At which point it went downhill. Very slow between orders. Paneer starter was lovely, keema and fish were just ok. Chicken pasantha lacked in chicken! Small portions and the rice portions were a joke, couldn’t feed a child! I had a lamb chefs special dish and it was chewy and awful, I highlighted this to the waiter and although it was acknowledged that was it! That mewl was left and was not reflected on the bill. So disappointed all round and won’t be returning.

Ordered a takeaway from the Ashiana, We haven't eaten there for a while but heard good things about it so we thought we would try a takeaway. It was Awful - the mixed Kebab starter came with the toughest most overcooked onion barghi I have ever come across. It was inedible and was thrown away. Main course - husband was given prawns instead of king prawns and they were again overcooked and rubbery so it was uneatable and thrown away.Even the rice was awful and had to be thrown . My main course had inedible king prawns and had olives in. Not even nice olives. again inedible and thrown away. Without doubt the worst indian meal I have ever had the misfortune to come across

Viewed restaurant on their website before going and my Wife and I decided that we were going to have the Sunday Special 3 course meal advertised as “every Sunday” indeed when we arrived there was even a large advertisement hung on the wall outside the restaurant. We had decided in advance (from the menu on their website) what we were going to have and when we went in we said that we wanted to order a Sunday special but was told that it was not on, apparently it’s not available on the Sunday before a Bank Holiday. (If that’s the case then shouldn’t you advertise to that effect?)

this restaurant is our first choice when my wife and myself eat out, we visit the Ashiana about twice a month plus when we have visitors, the restaurant is very clean and the staff are helpfull and attentive , the food is always fantastic and at a reasonable price, we had a meal for 13 people the other week to celebrate a birthday and all the starters / main meals were served piping hot with no mix ups, once again thank you to the staff, Well worth a visit.

We visit this restaurant on our way home from visiting relatives after a long motorway journey and it's a very welcome stopping place, we always have good food and there is always lots of it, the portions are very generous, and what can't be eaten on the premises can always be taken home if you wish, the staff are very happy to help and polite too. I would reccomend this place..

We met at a mutual distanced restaurant for a meal with friends not seen for a while. We entered the well decorated and comfortable waiting room where we chatted and had a beer. ( nice choice of drinks). Our order was taken and the owner was helpful when I asked about a particular dish. I was served the dish but I don’t like lamb of which I got. I didn’t complain as everything else was good about the restaurant and I could not remember if I asked for chicken, although I never have lamb. My wife and friends all enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere was conducive to a good chat and not too loud. Everywhere looked clean and well presented. I would definitely eat there again but this time make sure I request the correct dish. The staff were very polite and professional and the meal was served without long waits. We were asked if when the next course was to be served as we were chatting and letting the starter settle. All in all a good meal out with friends.

Was visiting my fiancé at barracks, we decided to go somewhere local for something to eat and decided to go here. The so a great Sunday deal any poppadoms, starter, main for under £15pp which is a good Sunday deal. I am abit if a curry snob! So I have had better curries to be honest, but for what it is/was, not too badly price and no food poising / off stomach the next day so can’t complain! Really good service, I would return in the future :-)

Me and my partner paid a visit to this restaurant whilst staying in Blackpool for the night. It was recommended by the people who owned the accommodation and we certainly enjoyed the meal. We were a little confused to start with as we were sat in the waiting area with drinks for 10 minutes or so and ordered our food whilst we were sat in the waiting area. We couldn’t work out whether the waiter had mistaken us asking for a takeaway as opposed to a table as there were plenty of tables free and not reserved. However we were eventually moved to a table and our meals arrived shortly after. The waiter was very cheery and welcoming and was always there to help. The only downside to this meal was the quality of the chicken. I found it very grizzly and it didn’t taste great, however the sauces were really nice. Overall though was a pleasant meal and would recommend for someone who was looking for an Indian in the area.

Really great meal for couples and families. The Poppadoms/Chutney Tray was very good; the starters (Bhuna King Prawn & Puri and Mixed Kebab was very good; but the Lamb Bahari was to die for. Thoroughly recommend it.

Really nice little place, when you go in it's all super-clean and you are greeted and sit in an area where you choose your meal while having a drink. When the food is almost ready the waiter brings your drinks and seats you at your table, our poppadums and dips were ready and waiting for us! All the food was very tasty, the onion bhajis are especially good - and large! Really feel like you are being well looked after by the staff.

Staying locally, and read all the reviews. Had a really great family meal with friendly service and good food. All the five and four stars are right.

I visited here for the first time for a friends birthday and I was told that they had recently won the best curry house on the Fylde coast, after visiting here I can see why.

Went here on Sunday to find they had won the curry house of the year award, as voted for by the readers of the Gazette, rightly so, we go often and have never had a bad meal, great staff and wonderful food, well done boys.

To escape the grind every once in a while, Ashiana(house of dreams) beautiful food with such amazing flavours you will want to come back again and again. Very friendly staff, with a childrens menu its easy to see why this little gem gets a five star rating. Such a relaxing setting. Go on escape if only for an hour "you know you want to"

Last night of the bank holiday weekend so take away was in order. Thought we would give the Ashiana a try, we have eaten in there with friends before so we knew the quality of the food. Onion bhajis are huge nicely cooked crispy outside soft in the middle, presentation not the best just placed in brown paper bag which made them look greasy, but they weren’t at all, they were delicious. I had the king prawn Dhansak, cooked to perfection with just the correct amount of sweet and sour and spice, others had madras, which was apparently very tasty but hot. All in all very very good meal

Once again a fantastic meal, they are up for a curry house award, fingers crossed, they came second last year, one better this year, always a great meal, and friendly staff.

Visited this restaurant with my family 2 adults 2 children. I genuinely could not fault anything. Service was 2nd to none for kids really looked after us all. As for the food it really was top notch. Well worth visiting. Will be back when in the area again.

My husband and me and my friend went on Sunday, the meal is a bargain, we eat here very often, and love it, food great and staff wonderful. My friend took some of her meal home to have for lunch the next day, she text me and said it was as good the day after as it had been on Sunday.

I come here regularly as it is my go to Indian! Can never fault the food and has good atmosphere if you choose to sit in the restaurant. Takeaway is always hot by the time I arrive home. Only fault is some of the awkward waiters but it is bearable! Deffo recommend.

We moved to Hambleton a year ago,and since discovering this gem of a restaurant,we visit almost weekly!We take family there when they visit from Derby and they say the food is better than ANY Derby Indian Restaurant !Love this place,and the staff are the best too!

Can only really comment in food. Ordered for collection 30 mins later. Was hot. All dishes very tasty but a little light on meat. Jalfrezi not very hot,shatkora very tasty.

Pre ordered some food to be collected was ready in about 30 minutes. I had the chicken and spinach curry, we did ask for no onions they were still added on but easily removed off the top. The chicken was tasty along with the curry which could of had a bit more spice. Always worried about having horrible chicken pieces due to past experiences elsewhere but this place was really nice. The vegetable samosas was nice and spicy. There is plenty of options for vegetarians also. They have a nice bar area whilst waiting to be seated. I would try here again.

Came here for our anniversary/ birthday meal and we were not disappointed . I've been trying to get my partner to an Indian restaurant for years but she's dragged her heals. Finally I got her to the ashiana and it's already her that wants to book again for next weekend ! Service was amazing, very attentive and friendly. Food was unreal. Mixed kebab to start and a special balti for mains with all the trimmings. Everything was faultless. Very reasonably priced too. Can't wait to return .
