Asda Living in Maidstone

my cafe experience was as disgusting as the tables. i fell unwelcome the moment we stepped in and a simple lunch turned into a unpleasant time with staff snarky comments and whispers . my son wanted to buy himself a bag of crisps and a toast he’s then realised he did not have enough for the crisps when he asked if he could take it off then the woman side and took it off reluctantly and as my son sat down the staff started talking s**t, pointing at him to show the other staff who he was who then laughed along with her. not too Overshare, but my son is on the spectrum he did not understand why they were mad at him. and really took it to heart which made him really overwhelmed. not recommend for any families or anyone.

It’s very rare I would imagine that you go out for food and and all three meals were awful, well this place achieved it. The staff were very rude and unwelcoming, no bacon for the cheese and bacon burger, only one jacket potato, no cutlery, half of one meal was missing and all three tasted horrible. None of us were able to finish any meal and they tasted foul. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was a horrible experience, the staff need retraining to provide good customer service, they made us feel like we were an inconvenience. I wish I had read the reviews before we went but I strongly urge people to AVOID THIS AWFUL PLACE AT ALL COSTS. You have been warned!!

Good selection of clothes in store but the cafe was awful. The lady serving was extremely rude. She misheard my order and then got extremely defensive with us. My husband and I were so taken aback by her behaviour! Never experienced anything like it and we are not confrotational people. We were just trying to grab a quick drink/snack so we could feed our toddler and I could feed our baby, and we were looked down upon and made to feel like we were in the wrong. *The cafe manager seemed nice enough and didn't witness any of this.

I opted for a toasted tea cake and a coffee. The teacake was stale so much it snapped in half. I did not complain as I was in a hurry.

Every time when we go to visit this place, why is it closed when it is supposed to be open? We like to go shopping and then have a coffee afterwards, so simple yet so unachievable for a small cafe. Recently, when I went to the cafe, hallelujah, for once there was staff there but of course, no customers as usual and I tried go inside DURING WORKING HOURS, it was 3PM, the staff at this cafe said “oh sorry, we’re closed” and I asked why are you closed, you should be open, they said “we close early so we can get home on time.” Your cafe isn’t making any profit, it’s definitely a loss of profit rather than a gain, you have workers that don’t even work within hours. Management needed ASAP. Are you aware of this??

Went into this cafe with my friend to feed our babies but as I tried to order my son anything on the menu they didn’t have it also didn’t have caramel syrup or whipped cream so gave up on that, I finally got my son chips and fish fingers and some cucumber which was all fun and games till it came out omg the chips tasted rank and undercooked the fishfingers where overly cooked and so dry and the cucumber which I had to negotiate to get looked like it had been beaten up and was so squashy and so unfresh I tried to give my son this food but even he threw it on the floor only upside to this is that the woman on the counter was lovely and we Iove Asda living but I’d not recommend this cafe to anyone as it’s not even run by Asda and is letting the shop down or recommend anyone ate this food, and to add to this there was tables of full coffees left which shows how dreadful the drinks was.

This cafe should be shutdown. I popped in here for coffee few weeks ago and was filthy with unclean tables floors and sides. The cutlery was not clean. Knives forks spoons had been put thru dishwasher but still had bits on em ? We complained at time and was assured it was due to staff sickness and only one person on shift. Well... We returned today for coffee and once again absolutely filthy. Asda should be ashamed this is a place to sit and eat etc . Floors needed sweeping and tables needed clearing and cleaning. Was only roughly 3.30pm but apparantly there were no cups clean and dishwasher was not working ! I assume this was just excuse to keep washing up to a minimum Food look stale and rank looking I will never go in here again for a coffee. I wish I had my phone with me at the time as I would of taken pictures !!

What a horrendous experience . Myself and my wife were feeling a bit peckish so decided to go up to the cafe for something light and a coffee. Every table that was available was full of plates ,cups and old food and there did not seem to be anyone around . A woman then came out from the back and asked us what we would like . We ordered two lattes with skimmed milk but were told that they only had full fat milk . My wife then ordered a jacket potato to which the lady said they did not have ? I ordered a crumpet but was told that they were still frozen so we went without food and went to our table . I spotted some cleaning fluid and and a cloth and proceeded to clean the table myself which is a bit of a joke . As we drank our coffee (which was dreadful) we noticed other people coming in and being told that they did not have what they were asking for . My wife rang to complain whilst we were sitting there and was told by the Asda manager that it was nothing to do with them . Whoever has the franchise needs to sort that place out . we would never go there again

Shockingly bad experience. Good Points.... The lady behind the counter was nice. Bad Points..... The Café had lots of dirty tables which needed cleaning, The food on display looked dry and unhealthy, and the 3 cappuccino's that we ordered were absolutely awful, very weak coffee and no taste. Avoid this place because you will only leave a negative review. There is such a big footfall in the area and they are missing a trick that they dont have a fantastic dining area for its shoppers. The Café is owned and run by a company called COMPASS but Asda should take all the responsibility because its in their store and reflects badly on ASDA.

My daughter bought us coffees, they were supposed to be maple lattes. The lady making them made something we couldn't actually understand what on earth it was...no taste of coffee at all, tasted like extremely sweet creamy drink neither cold, not warm. We were totally in disbelieve someone can make something as ridiculous as this. There was cream on top but no sprinklers and also no free baby pouches as advertised. We laughed about this experience. Do yourself a favour and go to a proper Costa store for your coffee as this one is definitely terrible. The actual Asda store is good.

This was at Asda Maidstone, absolutely appalling,customers asking for refunds,food under or over cooked,cutlery was filthy,I think the cafe should be closed down before someone is made unwell,the manager of the store says nothing to do with them as cafe is run by compass,should be reported to environmental health as not fit for purpose

Absolutely terrible, dirty restaurant, ripped tatty chairs, coffee machine broke was just left standing, no customer service, scones were frozen, had to be defrosted !!!

Disgusting service, two members of staff; one of which told the other to wash her hands and both looking like they enjoyed their jobs - NOT!! . We were a group of three. Two of us ordered food and tea. Our friend ordered coffee, she was kept waiting for 10 minutes at the counter before she was told they were fixing the coffee machine. The coffee didn't arrive! She asked for a refund. There were crumbs all around our table - not cleaned. Bad experience.

2nd time in a row they had no food. No sandwiches or hot food only only hot drinks and cakes. The guy behind the counter has a massive attitude problem and couldn't care less. Such a shame as the store is great but cafe seriously let's it down. We ended up going to The Range

Why are the toilets at Maidstone Asda closed, if they have more then 10 covers they are suppose to provide toilets

Absolutely awful experience. The guy serving us should not be working there as he was miserable and rude.

Came in here for some lunch and the service we receive was terrible. Ordered our food and the guy behind the counter told us we would have to wait 15 minutes as we ordered chicken burger and curly fries which was fine. Another guy came over and started shouted over the guy who was dealing with us saying we would have to wait. Which I then replied 3 times it’s fine before I snapped and yes like I just said 3 times it’s fine. After our food was done the guy came and basically throw it onto the table!!! Absolutely poor customer service! If he cant put on a smile on for customers and be polite and nice then maybe Anthony is in the wrong job!

The cutlery was really dirty, I took the dirty ones out and the man working there put them back in the cutlery pot after I said they were dirty. Some of the lunch options weren't available at midday so ended up with a toasted teacake which came black on one side. Kids sandwich looked discusting, bread wasn't fresh and thin square of cheese. Coffee wasn't great either. Only positive was that the tables and seats were clean. Wouldn't recommend.

Not a smile from the girl that served me. The cafe is run down with slashed seats. Uninteresting food & cakes. Certainly not what you expect from the Asda name. I think the store is brilliant. But the cafe lets it down. It’s just so scruffy. Went to the toilet found them dirty.& smelly.

Went in for a Coffee asked also for a glass of tap water only to be told we only have hot water running through the pipes, the man was very rude and this is the third time of asking so i will not be going back there, this ignorant man needs to go

The man at the counter is very rude and so un bothered. We bought 2 childrens lunch boxes and the bread was completely stale... his response was "the crust is hard but the bread is okay" he was such a rude person in general anyway.

Went here today oh my god the tall blonde haired man was miserable rude obviously doesn’t want to be working there employ someone who wants a job and be grateful, Asked for ice he said don’t do ice just gave me the bottle to drink out , said don’t do skimmed milk, chucked our food in a paper box , shocking customer service.

Went to the asda cafe today been a couple of times since it’s opened back up …the old staff lovely the new guy you have running it omg RUDE is an understatement!!! He obviously has no customer skills told me today there was no water and it wasn’t his fault nothing works ! I will never set fooot in there again this is the second time he’s been rude to me !

Foods alright. The fair haired, bigger build gentleman that works here needs to get a new job. He hates it here and takes it out on customers. Awful. Don’t bother.

Had breakfast here today. It was a very nice sunny day but the crew at the cafe ruined it all. He was quite aggressive, very rude. Definitely not happy with his job. Never coming back here again

Ordered two jacket potato for me and my mum, when it arrived we had the smallest side salad I’ve ever seen. It was two pieces of shredded lettuce with a few piece of onion. If you wanted a proper side salad you had to pay and extra £1.50. Not to mention the potato was still a bit hard and tasted like boiled water. Absolutely appalling, never agian.

We had the pleasure of visiting the cafe at Maidstone today. The lady Mandy behind the counter was extremely helpful not just to us but to every customer who arrived. We watched her helping people to their tables and being very pleasant to everyone. A credit to your store.

Food arrived a little slowly and rather cold which wasnt great. The foot was "ok" but nothing to write home about.

Sin embargo, últimamente el café ha tomado un tiempo bastante largo para servir comida y la calidad era decepcionante. Cuando fui hace unos días tuvimos un frappe cada junto a una sopa de tomate y atún un deshielo. En primer lugar, la tuna melt era pequeña, con una pequeña cantidad de atún y una pequeña sección de queso fundido empapados en un poco de pan. Si esto no era suficiente, el frappes decepcionante de hielo fueron separadas al jarabe en el fondo y era demasiado dulce. También descuidó decirnos la diferencia de precio entre los sabores hasta después de que habíamos pagado. La sopa de tomate era de buen gusto pero lo servían después de un largo período de tiempo y estaba demasiado caliente que se quemó la boca. Todo esto era mucho más caro de lo que me pareció que valía la pena. Es una pena ver como este siempre fue mi café número uno en el pasado. Necesidades de cafe asda para volver a su nivel.

Visitamos el supermercado Asda y la zona de café estaba casi vacío. Por desgracia nos queríamos desayunar, que dejó de estar servido a las 11 de la mañana. Llegamos alrededor de las 11. 35 ish.era muy poco. Yo tenía una chaqueta casera de patata, que sólo estaba tibia. Mi compañero tenía un bocadillo tostado, y dijo que era bajo en sabor, en coherencia. correosos ComplimentryTop ups de té/café no estaban disponibles. Vajilla no estaba limpio. Y nos sentimos smeary cubiertos era grasienta.En general, una experiencia muy negativa, mala comida, ambiente sucio, caro. Poco probable volver

Nice clean and friendly cafe/restaurant with good selection of hot/cold food and cakes. There is lift or escalator but can get busy at times.

Habíamos visitado la Asda Café en Maidstone previamente en un viaje de compras.Una vez más, nos dieron una cálida bienvenida del personal y pidió de nuevo, con chaqueta patatas queso. No estaban listos, así que nos fuimos de nuevo más tarde. Me trajeron a la mesa y eran muy agradables, con un montón de queso y ensalada.Sin duda volveremos a la Asda Café la próxima vez que esté de compras en Maidstone.

Esto está bien para un aperitivo rápido, ya que sólo sirven realmente sándwiches, hamburguesas, patatas, chaqueta y bageuttes pasteles. La comida está bien pero he tenido mejor y también depende de quien sirve como de la acogida de personal, las mujeres son las mejores. Ayer tenía un bollo con té y estaba en oferta para tener crema cuajada con mermelada, así que preguntamos sobre como normalmente no sólo tienen color crema y bollo. El chico no era muy feliz que pedí, pero finalmente me dieron 1 porción de mermelada, si no fuera por el hecho de que no habíamos comido, puede haber ido a otro lugar. El bollo era un poco seco, ya que no estaban cubiertas, pero en general son encantadores y cuando las mujeres solía ser en ellos incluso han calentado antes de ahora. Así que, como digo, depende de quién es, él no sabía lo que el té de la tarde y sólo consistía fuera dijo que no le hacen la oferta y mermelada no establecidas.

Esto está dentro de la tienda, así que es muy conveniente si quieres un descanso. Este es en realidad en la calle vivo en así que no encontrar mi propia ir allí a menudo aunque he estado una vez. Fue agradable, no es muy caro. El chocolate caliente y el precio promedio de pastel no me puedo quejar de él y no carrera sobre lo bueno que es, no está mal.

In quality of goods sold it is half way between The Range and John Lewis possibly. It is laid out similarly to all the stores selling household ware and there is nothing particular to rave about. If you like shopping in Asda food stores you most likely will enjoy a trip to a different range of goods.

Worst coffee ever! Completely undrinkable and no staff interested. Worth walking up the road to any of the local coffee shops instead.

Never new this place existed until we took a wrong turn and found it.Small restaurant,jacket potatoes,just as they should be for £3.50 each,nice Latte,and friendly staff.Sandwiches and rolls plenty of choice.If your in Maidstone pay it a visit.

Walked to Asda cafe to pick up snack. Pretty awful really, not much to choose from, looked less than appetising ( and the sausage roll was thrown away after one bite). Not good and not cheap.
