ASDA Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Myself and my little girl had a lovely lunch here. The staff were all really nice and helpful. Such great value for children and a nice place to eat

Just stopped in for a quick breakfast on the way through. Sammy was very helpful and the place was extremely clean.

After reading the reviews about the cafe at Asda we were a bit dubious about visiting, however decided to despite that. I'm glad we did. At the till we were met with a very friendly lady who we now find out was the supervisor, she was extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We even witnessed her helping out an older gentleman In the cafe which was lovely to see 😊 overall we would visit again

Great service from Sammy. First time I have used the cafe at hayle for a while but will definitely be back as service was spot on and everything was very clean and tidy.

Was left waiting at the counter for about 15 minutes whilst one poor woman did all the cooking for other customers at the front and other staff just stood on the side talking and doing nothing. Staff are rude and not friendly at all. They look like they’ve been forced to work there. Ordered a tea and got a tetleys in a cup with water. Went to add milk and sugar and the milk is in a tall open flask for anyone to access which is gross. There are no individual milk sachets and there was no sugar left. I asked about the milk and I was told to find another staff member and get it refilled myself? Staff were so rude I was shocked. The place is filthy. Tables are not cleaned, if you look at the machines behind the counter they are also filthy. It’s shocking honestly. The place has a uncomfortable vibe. I’ve been here a few times now and it’s always been this bad.

It's OK for quick cuppa, they do take a while to acknowledge you're there waiting, the food is OK.

The cakes were nice. However, the service was very poor and it was as if the employees didn’t even work there; it seemed like they had no idea what they were doing and all we ordered was hot drinks and cakes, so it shouldn’t have been difficult. When we arrived we were told we couldn’t have cake as some were in the freezer, apart from the fact there were a few cakes still out that were completely fine and not frozen! I had a mocha; I couldn’t taste any chocolate in it at all and the coffee flavour it did have was not great. They also forgot to give us oat milk we ordered which was then presented just in the carton.

one staff member doing the till, cooking and serving the tables and the 2 other staff members just sat at a table on there phones and doing paper work while the other lads is rushed off her feet with all the orders not on all staff should help during a busy bit not letting one struggle. shocking behaviour .food was avarge. long wait but one staff doing all the work not going to complain about the wait

Worst supermarket “cafe” I’ve ever been too. Everything was old & had been sitting around on a hot plate all day. Sausages were rock hard, bacon was completely cremated, the chips were really old/chewy and overall it’s disgusting. I’d have gone to ask for my money back but the lady behind the till seems very grumpy.

Popped in for breakfast. Toilets were disgusting, blocked and leaking. Service was very slow and unorganised. No spoons for tea bags. Breakfast - eggs hard, toast like bread, black pudding hard, bacon was okay, hash brown was nice. Tables not cleared away. Overall very bad experience today, will revisit and hope this was just a bad day!

Very few items on the kids menu available as had run out,also limited food on main menu, no ham and cheese toastie as they had no ham or cheese lol.Couldnt they get some from the shop floor? This was at early lunchtime ? Waste of our time

Sharon the waitress in the cafe was an amazing hostess. She went the extra mile with every single situation. We had a very in depth conversation and just made our whole experience to asda and Hayle every bit better. An inspiration of a lady and an amazing mother. Food okay. Tables and floor disgustingly dirty. Shared milk jug dirty. Cutlery all dirty. Disgusting. Take out cup when I was sitting in. Dread to think what the kitchen looks like.

After a two hour drive to Hayle, thanks to nightmare roadworks at Chiverton Cross, we were ready for brunch. It will be our first & last time eating at this branch of Asda. My cheese & tomato toastie was only toasted on one side, the bottom slice pale & soggy, smeared with a few daubs of what looked like tomato sauce. The only cheese was a thin layer on top of the sandwich. I might as well have asked for just bread. Chips were warm not hot, and soggy rather than crisp, obviously been sitting around before reaching out table. I don't mind waiting for my food if a cafe has been busy or are short-staffed but I do expect it to be cooked properly. My partner had the all day breakfast, which she said was ok, apart from the sausages that were so overcooked (in comparison to my sandwich) that the skin was deep brown & very thick. Hayle Asda is a great place for shopping, there is an excellent food range & good prices. We will continue to shop there but won't be revisiting the cafe.

Walked in when it was quiet, no que. no table was wiped, mess on floor, no spoons. Mess all over! Generally the worst experience of my life! No smile given by a young girl who was serving. This was between 15:00-15:30.
