The tea made me sad, it wasn't very nice

This is a branch of ASDA own brand, in-store cafe. Plenty of parking and then up an inclined escalator into the store, followed by a long walk along the entire length of the check-out counters to the cafe. The decor reminds me of a school or university cafeteria, but functional type of place where you get your order and collect cutlery, napkins and condiments. We came here for breakfast and went with the vegetarian full English Breakfast, although there's plenty of other vegetarian options if you want. It was early and the place was nearly empty. Everything was nice and clean, with plenty of places sit.

Nice place to stop for quality fish and chips, needs bigger parking but amazing if you're on foot locally or a walker, highly recommend.

Went for a pub lunch. The gentleman behind the bar was very helpful with my partner who is gluten intolerant, she had steak and chips, and asked for a sauce to go with it. Not being sure whether the peppercorn sauce had gluten he looked online for us, sadly it had, but he offered red wine sauce or port and Stilton sauce, she opted for the red wine sauce which was lovely. I had fish and chips, which was a lovely big portion, and our son had the beef and red wine lasagne with garlic bread which also looked delicious. Big kudos to the bar staff for their patience and understanding. 14/4/25 at 2.30pm
