Well except for the very helpful assistant it was awful. Horrible dishwash coffee and a warmed up bacon and egg sandwich which was inedible. Why can't asda do it better

The food was over cooked black pudding was like rock and the bacon was a grey colour and looked like it was a week old the tomato obviously had been cooked about 4 hours previous. I mentioned how I like the food and they said it come how it comes in other words it’s already cooked not fresh and it’s been cooked and stored 🤢 The beans and toast were ok and the sausage the rest was vile

If you are short staffed, which you clearly are please say upon ordering that your customers are going to be wasting an hour and a half of their day waiting for food and then we can make the decision to leave. Shambolic! For the price the food was fine when it eventually came but everyone in the cafe were far too fed up by that point.

Visited on a Sunday, staff weren't very welcoming, advertised offer stated that it came with a dispensable drink but was substituted for juice, no mayonnaise, had to go and buy our own from the supermarket (not sure why they couldn't do this??) Tables were all messy, no attempt to tidy our messy table that we were forced to sit at. Overall it just seemed in serious need of some form of management.

Shocking. Drinks were cold and had to ask for some more hot water for the tea, which still wasn't hot! Chips were just warm & the toasties were barely cooked soggy round edges. Wasn't even busy, so no excuse.

We visited the cafe on Saturday 11.02.23 and were given the wrong food order . The lady behind the counter insisted it wasn't her error when it clearly was. What made matters its that she made it an open conversation in front of customers and her other work colleagues. No remedy. was given and she even said us we had to pay again. We complained in store and online and was offered an e gift voucher for only £5 for the embassment and inconvenience shocking really. The manager of the store also phoned on the 14.2.23 and wasn't helpful at all and was equally rude. Would never shop here again

Kids eat for £1 offer wasn’t giving to me when I got beans on toast for my little girl. I had to complain about it, get rudely marched to customer services. Then when my breakfast came alll eggs had runny egg white all over them. I didn’t have high expectations, but it was absolute dogger.

By far the worse breakfast I've had here was rather disappointed as usely they are okay. I expected it to be better quality with how much they charge . Everything was rather greasy especially the cheap ass sausage they used and the hashbrown was a mess I would not of even plated it up . It should of gone in the bin... Don't think il be eating here again it's like a grease bucket unless I get egg on it own only thing that was nice but could of been hotter

Sunday morning breakfast with friends and as we were the first to get served we started our food straight away. Good job too as it was lukewarm. Our friends order was 'lost' so they waited a while before asking the waitress where their food was. Her response was aggressive and surly and she clearly didn't want to be at work. We'll go elsewhere in future.

There isn’t much choice. There certainly wasn’t today anyway. You always seem to be left waiting at the till and no apology for the wait. In fact they appear to be doing very little other than making you wait. Coffee is good for a bean to cup machine.

Second visit to this really shabby supermarket cafe, visited first thing on a Sunday morning and the floor was filthy, it must have been at least a few days of grime, crumbs and spills. Got decent lattes and the staff were friendly and professional enough. The large bacon roll was exactly the same size as a small I had previously, and the ‘crumpets with butter’ came with an unbranded catering margarine (yum!). Blatantly not enough staff to meet demand, and seriously in need of a deep clean and refurb. I am surprised at Asda to be honest.

I do like this cafe, its a good cafe to just nip into while doing your weekly shop or to meet a friend while also getting the weekly shop. I often meet my mum in this cafe when we come shopping. The foods ok, nothing special but would you really expect otherwise from a supermarket cafe? The staff are friendly the cafe itself is generally clean, although I certainly wouldn't pick it as a destination purely for the cafe experience, I wouldn't hesitate to go in for a coffee and cake while doing my shopping or to meet someone there before going shopping.

Asda cafe is awful Why can’t you provide a cafe like Morrison’s? The food is bad. You can’t make a customer a toasted sandwich but offer dried out cheese and tomato toasty for £3!!! It’s as if asda has given up bothering about it’s cafes/ customers Overpriced fattening cheap micro food 😳

Prefer to visit this cafe as the service is friendly, meals are always fresh and warm compared to the tesco cafe which are nearly cold. The place is clean and nice atmosphere as I've tried the steak and ale pie, mashed carrots, gravy which is delicious. Go there every week now while we do the shopping.

Standard supermarket breakfast. Not as good as Morrisons but better than Tescos (MUCH better than Tescos). Price is OK but they cannot match Morrisons up the road. Eat here a lot all the same. Just breakfasts, thats all for me. They of course do some other things.

I went along with a four year old, she had a kids meal and I had a jacket potato. Her meal was a really good size although she did say that the sausages were very spicy. My jacket potato however was tiny! 2 that size wouldn't have even made a decent sized portion. They also used the pre coated, ready grated cheese which didn't melt at all on the potato. The staff were very friendly and I would go back, just maybe choose something different next time!

OK many people might not consider an Asda café worthy of reviewing, but they can be, we are staying at the Campanile Hotel, the breakfasts here are "extra" £9 per person per day, on day one we used the Hotel for breakfast, nothing special, very limited continental options, one type of Danish Pastry, one type of Yoghurt, one type of cold meat, one type of cheese, small bowl of mixed fruit not the usual options we are used to, the hot breakfast option was not much better, so since then we have been using the Asda café for breakfast and early dinner, the All day breakfast was excellent value for money, £5 for 2 sausages, 2 bacon, bread and butter, beans, chips and an egg.

Only came here as Mcdonalds was heaving and I wasnt expecting much and I wasnt wrong! Half the food served must of been on the floor underneath my table. The servers seemed to not know their own menu. The saving grace was the deals and the size of the drinks. If they tidied up could become a 4 star place

After paying 5 pounds cash for the large breakfast and extra for a coffee (no working card machine) I was unhappy to find the breakfast withiut the advertised mushrooms and both eggs coming out cold and watery - you could scrape about the tip 1/3rd off as goo.

My mum is not well so I took her out to Asda for a change of shopping we went to the cafe at Asda. Never again the service was very slow. I asked for chicken and jacket potato. It was on 13:00. To be told they don't have any chicken left. So had to have jacket potato and beans. Mum wanted ham egg and chips her order was taken then we were told there was no ham so she had sausage. Strange but this cafe is attached to a supermarket which sells all of the above. But the drinks were good. Mum wanted a cake to I got her a jam sponge. She had 1 bite then left it as it was very dry

I was served fairly promptly - wasn't a queue which was good. Took my order but when I went to pay with my credit card I was informed that the machine was broken. The manager who was helping out in the cafe was very apologetic and rectified the situation by taking me to the customer services and allowing me to pay there. Brilliant service from him.

Turned up for tea before going to work around 1720 on Tuesday night to be told that as the staff member was on her own, she wouldn't cook anything, we could choose from what was left. We walked out, and found food elsewhere. We did return for breakfast on Thursday and the staff were very friendly, efficient, and the food was well cooked and tasty for the price.

Bouncer assaults woman Sunday 5th May about 10pm Went for a drink after a meal out on date night (cola as I was driving) Sat outside and heard a scream, looked around and the bouncer was dragging a woman in her 20's by the arms, across the floor, then throwing her bottle of water. She was sat on the floor protesting her inocence when the boncer (with the help of another bouncer) pinned her down and called the police. The bar staff lied for the bouncer. 20 years ago I used to drink down Donny and bouncers ruined many a night with their 10 men attitude and steroid pumped aggression....... 1st time out in Donny since and nothing has changed. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and actions by all staff.

Can't fault the food, but delivery takes sooo long. Don't say an hour if it's going to be nearly 2 hours. I rang up and hour and 45 mins after I'd ordered, and it sounded like my order hadn't been started. Don't know if the establishment is under new management, but don't remember ever having this issue before. Great food, but go collect if you're able, imo. The dine in experience is by far better. As I write this it's now 2 hours and 3 minutes since I ordered. UPDATE. Food came, great. But didn't want beans, didn't order beans, yet there was beans on my sandwich. Maybe they were put on as compensation? Who knows. 2 hours and still got it wrong.

Too many people had bought their drinks then just just hung around in the way at the bar. Singer performing was awful.

Everything is overpriced and poor/average quality and I mean everything. Ales are not kept well and wines etc are bought via their sister site (Shire Stores), food isn't great but expensive and they've gone through chefs like a knife through butter ! I wasn't there but my friend was in recently when the little lad (aka Bar Manager) refused to serve 2 customers at 10.50pm, at which point another customer offered to buy them a drink only to be told by the manager that they would be barred if they bought them drinks - wow, how to treat your customers. On the hygiene front, they made a massive thing out of finally getting a 5 star rating after the recent and well documented rat issues which is fair enough. However, the gents still stinks horrendous and of course the rat issue occurred when they previously had 5 stars - so much for the ratings. Previous employees and suppliers are still owed £1000's I keep popping in but there's no sign of things getting any better
