This place is quirky and the idea behind it is really nice, full of interesting events and activities, selling art, craft and music. However, there are a few flaws: staff could be more welcoming (they seem so busy running around without smiling even when they don’t have many clients), but more importantly the place is not clean enough. Every time I went tables were sticky and had left over crumbles and food from previous customer, you pick up one of the free books on display and they are all dusty, same as the table games… it doesn’t give you much trust on the state of the kitchen. Menu is varied enough with an eye for intolerances and vegan/vegetarian which is great however quality of the food is just ok, a bit bland and coffee very substandard even compared to a chain like Costa. The place has surely potential, the idea is great, but there is surely room for improvement.

What a lovely, interesting cafe. Brunch visit and had the Welsh rarebit with leeks and egg. Utterly delicious. Coffee was also lush. And the staff are helpful and busy. Had to be a 5/5

Slow service and poorly made coffee, oat milk flat white in a paper cup, masses of foam, overly hot coffee which was bitter and unpalatable. Barista training definitely needed!

Have been to 4 vegan tasting nights, wow , excellent food and beautifully presented. All themed , very tasty with so much thought gone into each course of which the are 5 ( small but perfectly formed ) we’re not vegan but have enjoyed each evening and totally did not miss the meat. Would certainly recommend and excellent value too

I recently worked from here and did their "work deal" which is unlimited free hot drinks (strangely not diet coke), a lunch meal and you can stay as long as you like for £19.50. Lovely atmosphere and great place to work from. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only nitpick would be cakes looked all 'healthy' which is fine for some but I fancied a treat and they all looked small for the price. I also think that the eggs Benedict was good but a few more generous sized lunch options would be good. I just sound greedy now 😂. Will be back to work and have lunch. A great asset to St Neots and loads of lovely art on display to buy too, worth a visit for Xmas gifts perhaps?

Loved the look and style of the cafe. Really quirky. It took longer than expected to get our drinks to our table. Our sandwiches were all pretty good, enjoyed my vegan blushing bagel. Also was impressed by the different veggie/vegan options available. However was very disappointed in the homemade potato wedges. £7 we paid. We thought at that price it would be a portion you could share between 2 people quite happily. Wrong!! It was only 6 wedges, so worked out at more than £1 per wedge, ridiculous!!

Staff unwelcoming, might be my face but surely in these times a customer should be made to feel welcome. In brief I have been here numerous times for a quick coffee to spot of lunch. Each time I say to myself "never again" but I know times have been hard since covid for independent business and then more recently read the post regarding falling takings which could result in it closing down so I keep coming back! Unfortunately its time to give up!!! Consistently, everytime i enter through doors i don't think I have ever felt welcome. Not one member of staff acknowledges me, including the owner who I now recognised from the paper. The worst culprit is the female dark hair staff member who cannot even crack a smile....even when I'm the 1st customer through the door at 10am! The coffee is fine the food i have had is again fine but I think even if it was the best food and drink in town it wouldn't make me return. I have offered so many chances of redemption but no more, I love Elsie-Mays and the new coffee shop on high Street amd get a welcoming "hello" and actually feel like I am wanted as a customer. I realise this is just my experience and maybe just I get such a negative or no respond fron the staff but I can't help being born looking the way I do (I look normal by the way). I smile, say hello to staff in a chipper mood but doesn't seem to have an impact. Such a shame as I said before times are so difficult and you would think that businesses would be doing all they can to keep and gain customers by showing them they are happy for you to be in there. We all have off days and I fully appreciate that, but after so many attempts to let them redeemed themselves they aren't able too.

I came here with a friend for one of the vegan tasting nights. What a great idea! You receive five courses of small plates to taste, which allows you to relax and make an evening of it. There is a large drink choice available to purchase also. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual, and quiet enough to chat while still maintaining an atmosphere. We were there for the Japanese evening and really enjoyed the options selected. They offer a different cuisine every month so we'll be going back again to try some different dishes!

I first came in on a recommendation from my wife and worked here for an afternoon when the home broadband was down. Conclusion: good coffee. Then I came again and treated myself to lunch and today I’m here with my wife and daughter and it’s cemented itself as my number one place to eat out. The food is lovely, ethical (whether it’s meat or vegan/vegetarian), the ambience is relaxed and groovy and the service is quick and friendly. I’d quite happily drop in here for breakfast, coffee or lunch on my own, with friends or family. The art is worth it on its own, and some days there’d exhibitions of art and crafts, including those who have their sculptures or art displayed regularly at the cafe. Bottom line, I can’t recommend highly enough.

After receiving the newsletter last week the details of the monthly Vegan night jumped out as being perfect for visiting family who are veggies, run a Permaculture small holding in Scotland and one of whom also happens to be a professional artist. It turned out to be a great evening, food was very tasty, and plentiful, even the carnivore amongst us really enjoyed it. Service was friendly and attentive and the general atmosphere was relaxing.

We are regular customers to Art & Soul. This morning after having our usual coffee & croissant we were tempted to buy the scones for our lunch. They had just been baked and looked delicious. Yes we can confirm they taste just as good as they look. 😋

Art and Soul hold vegan tasteing evenings on a regular basis and I recently had the pleasure of experiencing one. The food was exceptional and innovative, I have rarely had such delicious vegan food ( unless my son-in-law cooks for us!). The service and ambience were also fabulous, eating whilst surrounded by art adds a special touch. We will be back!!

It seems appropriate on Halloween to offer to 'die for' cheese scones (that actually taste of cheese)! All the staff kitted out in a Transylvanian theme...which I was slow to spot! A lovely place for solo or friends. Lovely.

I am really glad that I tried this place. I had simply not got around to doing so, but finally did. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that when we went, there was a very limited selection of cakes, but what they had was delicious. Lovely mocha, nice environment and pleasant service. Most definitely one to visit again.

Had lunch there today because my usual places were full and too crowded. Glad about that as have walked past this newly established cafe many times but no longer! Excellent food, very pleasant staff and a surprisingly big space upstairs. The place is covered with art - some excellent and some not to my liking but that is art!!

I’ve been to Art & Soul cafe on many occasions since it’s opening week and I love the space - it has a really friendly, relaxed vibe and it’s great to see the different artwork for sale. I’ve tried a few of the cakes and crumpets but for the prices being charged think that the food offering is really poor - the marmite crumpets are obviously made by someone who doesn’t eat marmite as they are completely drowning in the stuff (my husband and I visited one Sunday when their toaster wasn’t working and having waited 45 minutes for a crumpet sadly had to leave without eating it!). The cakes are all home made but the sort of thing you can make better at home yourself - I have now tried the blueberry muffins, courgette and orange loaf and malteser cake on different occasions and sad to say they were either stale or just dry and lacking flavour - the larger cakes don’t go underneath a glass dome so just don’t stay fresh.

This is a great addition to St Neots as a blend of funky art space and a cafe. Everything homemade and the owners are really friendly. So many cafe’s are cookie cutter corporate affairs but not Art and Soul! They seem to have all sorts of things going on from yoga to art workshops and artists in residence from time to time.

Went here fir lunch with my Mum to try it out, it was a cold day so ordered the soup, parsnip and leek. I presumed homemade as it was £5 a serving. Soup arrived and not a parsnip or leek in sight, it was brown thin watery soup with grated carrot floating around. Completely tasteless and definitely no taste of parsnip or leek. We had to put so much salt and pepper in it just to get a taste of anything. Disappointing

Fantastic couple of pints Great to see this popular town centre pub getting better and better. New owners have been in for a few months now and it's nice to see some investments being made - the heating is on, and there's new furniture outside for starters. I've seen plans for more improvements to come once approved, but in the meantime it's nice to have a great choice of well kept beer.
