Always delicious food and friendly staff 👍🏻

I have always loved the art cafe but today I went to the store outside and the woman who served me was extremely rude unfriendly, haven’t been back for a year

Conveniently located right outside Westgate, the Art Cafe serves nice hot drinks. Unfortunately it can be quite busy and hard to find a table at the weekend.

Saphia is a lovely girl. She is welcoming. She speaks many languages. Sebastian funny guy, he agreed to add more chocolat to our crepe. They are wonderful ❤️ and so welcoming.

Great place for breakfast, brunch and sandwiches to eat in or takeaway. The coffee was lovely too! It's a really popular place so we were lucky to grab a table, but we'll worth it!

Rocked up with a couple of friends to the Westgate centre for parking, to see Richard Dawkins at the Oxford theatre. Emerging from the shopping centre, early for the evening event, we sought somewhere for a coffee & cake. Long time since we've been to Oxford, so we were happy to catch sight of the Art Cafe. Prompt, friendly service and a wide range of indulgent cakes. We sat upstairs and noted the usb-enabled power sockets. Neat touch. We're planning to revisit Oxford city centre in the run up to Xmas. We'll return to the Art Cafe for lunch, and hopefully be able to add those 5th stars after we've had a more substantial meal.

Friendly staff. We all had different options for our breakfast and everyone enjoyed their options. The quality of the food was lovely and we all left feeling full. Food was delivered hot and in good time.

Admiring a painting under a rich chocolate dessert is a comfortable place to take a rest!

Sebastian and Mihai were very helpful and went out of the way to make a chocolate milshake-frappe for me, which wasn't on their menu. Thank you !!!

Would’ve thought the hummus would be homemade, but they just buy it from Sainsburys. Disappointed

£5+ for a roll with one sausage in it. Disappointing and over priced. Try Taylor’s in covered market - better value and better food

very cute little cosy cafe with great indoor and outdoor seating options available. lots of stairs inside as all seating is on the above 2 floors so not wheelchair accessible unless outside dining. we had brunch that was delish - perfect amount of everything. and the smoothie and coffee were equally as tasty. great allergy options available and alternative milks etc. 10/10 recommend.

Food is good, coffee is excellent. Central location. The non-smoking area is a quarter of the size of the smoking area so getting a table is harder. The cafe is outside with screens and awnings, but the smoke lingers. Would not go back

Service was lightning fast and ordering was QR code based for dine in. Great stop on the way to the train station.

For a cafe with so many staff members we were kind of surprised that no one spoke to us and waited five minutes until someone asked about our take away order and staff members were chatting instead. Very rude and unprofessional.

We popped in for a cream tea, but I don’t like tea. When I asked if I could have a hot chocolate and pay the extra they did better and offered to give me a small hot chocolate with no extra charge. Then the chap behind the counter offered to carry the tray upstairs for us when it was all ready. The fruit scones were huge and WARM! It is a lovely, friendly little cafe. I will definitely go back next time I’m in Oxford.

Staff with the desire to learn the beautiful French language. The croissants are as delicious as in France.

I love-love-live the courgette cake with avocado frosting. It's totally worth the two-hour drive!

Quick service and delicious food. The chilli quesadilla is really tasty. Sitting space upstairs is quite small and a little crowded, but we managed ok even with a high chair.

Friendly staff and great coffee! The full English breakfast and the flat white are the best, make sure you order it

Beautiful food, beautiful staff

We visited for brunch. The halloumi and avocado breakfast was delicious as was my husband’s eggs royale. A quirky little spot- we didn’t realise how narrow the building was until we got outside.

Second visit disappointing. My daughter ordered a gluten free toasted sandwich and I ordered a quesadilla, both containing chicken. The chicken was extremely dry and chewy. Thought we’d found a gem after first visit but probably won’t return.

Food and coffee are nice. Being a small cafe, so limited space for tables and chairs inside. So loud you wont enjoy talking with someone. So deafening.

It's okay and a good option if you have kids. Cakes and crêpes are popular purchases.

Great coffee and even better service! Another guest had a complaint about their sandwich whilst I was there and staff handled it with grace and kindness in the face of a rather rude customer. Will be coming back!

I always try and visit these guys when I'm in Oxford. The food is amazing, quick to arrive and decently priced. The staff are fab too.

We had breakfast here for three mornings on a trip to Oxford. The food was very good indeed and a great choice of food on the breakfast menu. Lots of options from traditional fry to bagels / sourdough with avo and bacon / porridge with fruit

There are about 9 people in a tiny kitchen. Wich makes it chaos. Price wise it's allright for that part of town. They have a gluten free option. But it's not great.

We were pleasantly surprised. We ordered 3 sandwiches and a wrap. Natural flavors and flavored ingredients.

Great menu with lots to choose from. We had breakfast here every morning on our three day break. We were never disappointed with our choices and generous portions. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped off for drinks and snacks late afternoon. Although it was simple to order and pay for the food using the QR code I was a little shocked at being asked to tip before any contact with the wait staff! I ordered a juice and my husband and eldest daughter ordered milkshakes. These drinks were nice enough, but were not good value for money. My youngest daughter enjoyed her crepe, but my husband's scone was so hot and dry that it fell apart when he tried to cut it. He returned it, and was refunded as the staff appeared to know already that there was a problem. We had to organise our own cutlery and napkins, and I was a little surprised at having to go to the ground floor to get glasses of water. Over priced, we won't be returning.

Beautiful cafe, great and quick service (order from Scanning the code on table). Food is amazing. I also ordered matcha latte, a bit sweet but still very good. Would come back.

I stopped at this kiosk bar by chance. Honestly nothing special. Outside under the awning it acts like a heat hood.

We ordered a goats cheese salad baguette and my friend ordered jacket potato with cheese and beans., we also had mixed berry milkshake. The baguette and jacket potato was really good, especially the baguette, fabulous bread. Both these are 5 stars but the milkshake at £4.95 was a let down, not worth the money 😩

This is great little cafe in the commercial centre, just right for a pitstop when you’re shopping. The menu looked very interesting but I’d eaten recently so just had a coffee and ice cream. Both great. Friendly service and a comfortable place to take a break.

The location is so good, which is at the centre of the Oxford. Art Cafe has very good breakfast. The Cafe tastes good. The most important thing is that the environment is so nice and you can see the people go in and out of the Westgate shopping center. They also put beautiful decorations in the restaurant. The restaurant has two floors and we like the top one

Cream tea was ok, but service was non-existent

We had scrambled eggs and avocado and salmon, avocado tasted bitter, most probably it was quite an old one. Scrambled eggs wasn’t fresh and had something in them which tasted like plastic, couldn’t finish, it was the worst scrambled eggs I had ever eaten. Order poached eggs instead if you have to.

Lovely place to sit upstairs. Coffee was great. Scrambled eggs were very dry and avocado had a strange bitter taste to it.

Trying to find somewhere that opens early for breakfast in Oxford was a challenge but then I found this place. Absolutely awesome large filing vegan cooked breakfast & excellent coffee. Friendly staff & clean. Got a lovely window seat. Thanks so much.

Food is okay, but nothing special, as was the service. The atmosphere is vibrant and upbeat. Main reason for the low review is because I've just checked my receipt and found I've been charged 15% for a tip, when food was ordered via a QR code on the table. Probably my fault as I didn't notice it when ordering, but in my opinion a tip should be my choice to add, not to remove. £9 For bringing 5 sandwiches and 5 drinks up one flight of stairs seems excessive.

Truly some of the rudest staff I've ever come across. They all treat you like they can't be bothered to serve you and all just stand talking and look at you like you're in the wrong place when you enter. A very bad atmosphere when you walk in. If you ask a question you'll get a very short, angry answer.

By far the best hazelnut cappuccino in Oxford! I've been coming in here for years and the English Breakfast is always good quality, service is speedy, and the coffee is nothing short of perfect. Sometimes it can very busy to the point where it feels overcrowded which can affect the food, but for those who don't mind or are happy to visit on a quieter day, I highly recommend!! Great little café.

Great lunch menu, something a bit more exiting than the usual sandwiches. Friendly staff and were able to take our dogs in too.

I found this place when looking for a nice cosy café where I could meet my brother and sister for a day out in Oxford. It looked tiny inside but there were tables available on the first and, I think, second floors. Despite how busy it was we received very quick service with a smile. The coffee (a flat white) was so good I had to have another one, which arrived just a few minutes after ordering via the QR code on the table. Next time I’ll come for food (although the almond croissant was very good!).

I stopped by this café on a weekday evening. Despite the crowd, I was able to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere and excellent coffee. I ordered Mocha, which exceeded my expectations. The coffee was rich and flavourful, and the ambiance of the café was lively and inviting. Overall, I would recommend this spot for a casual coffee meet-up with friends or a romantic date. The cozy atmosphere and good coffee make it an ideal choice for a relaxing outing

Way too expensive for the quality received. It's not bad, it's just NOT worth the price.

I got the brazillian panini - seasoned chicken, bacon & mozzarella. It was super dry and flavourless. There was no sauce apart from a random splodge of mayo the size of a 20p coin. I couldn't taste the seasoning on the chicken and the chicken itself didn't taste nice. The panini itself was a decent size and there was a good amount of mozzarella. Overall very disappointing

On my day trip to Oxford. Popped in for a panini and a cup of tea. Then, later on in the afternoon, I visited the cafe for a milkshake. I really like the atmosphere, and the service was 💯. It's definitely a place to visit when visiting Oxford ☺️

I went with my Miss’s and we ordered two cappuccino’s and they were very creamy and tasty “One of the best cappuccino I drunk in oxford”. In addition we ordered some food and was delicious. The waiters are very kind and we received the food after 10/15 min. that we ordered it, we were quiet surprise since the Café was quiet busy. Highly recommend.

In a city full of eateries I happened upon the Art Café on Saturday ( and Sunday ) and felt so content with my delicious latte ( the best in Oxford) and sun on my face… the rest of the family joined on Saturday lunch time (14 in all ) and we all loved it.

We had 2 large cappuccino's which they tasted like warm milk, extremely disappointed 😞

We stopped in for lunch while in Oxford. Unfortunately the standard of the food was well below what we would have expected. My Chicken and mayonnaise baguette was dry and I had the feeling the chicken was the cheapest possible quality. My wife had a panini and left half of it. Her coffee was nice. You pay your money and take a chance. We won’t return.

Busy little place, we sat upstairs. Hot drinks and an absolutely delicious mince pie cheesecake which I wish we hadn't shared! I really will be checking out this café when I return to Oxford.

Despite all the hype, I was pretty unimpressed by this place. The poor service at the counter downstairs got me off to a bad start. I was largely ignored by the staff who just told me to pay and then left me to sort it all out. When I asked for a receipt I was then ignored again. Hmm.. The ambience and decor were very ordinary, so no 5 stars from me.

Very friendly staff, quite busy but we’re lucky to find a seat with a nice view. Service was very quick, had the goats cheese with walnuts and honey on sour bread with extras….absolutely delicious!

Fast service, good outdoor seating, delicious food makes this one of the best cafes out there in Oxford. We tried the chicken baguette and granola yogurt and both of the items were fresh and tasted absolutely amazing! They have adopted the system of ordering through QR code which is good and fast. Do definitely try the coffee. It is really good!

Had I not taken a photo, no one would’ve believed this! I asked for a fresh orange 🍊 juice and was served with a massive Iceberg (of the same nature that made the Titanic sink, Bear in mind some of it had already melted with the juice), and cannot believe was charged £4.50 for this ! The bloke behind the till clearly wasn’t bothered! Think this was the most expensive orange shot (25 ml) I’ve ever had ! Why thank you ! P.S: It’d be nice to ask people if they want ice 🧊 for a start !!! And for some reason this review has been hidden from their google page ..,!! ____________________________ In response to your recent reply: If you make a mistake, OWN the mistake, don’t blame your customer or come up with BULLSHYY.te excuses by saying : “SHAME YOU DIDn’t ASK FOR SOMEONE TO REPLACE WITHOUT ICE” How would I know there’s an ice berg in the cup ? I hadn’t noticed until I was 2 minutes away, no one minds 2 or 3 ice cubes 🧊! But not half a kilo of ice 🧊!!! It’s criminal to charge £4.50 for a shot of orange juice! Now every time I pass by your shop I almost thro.W up 🤮

So explain to me....in what universe does one go into an eatery, be told to order yourself on a QR code what you'd like to eat and drink... and expect a tip paid...before experiencing the service? No Art Cafe. No. THEN food is delivered and you have to guess where the cuttlery and napkins are kept? Shame. Food good and plentiful but prices comparative. System.. back to front. Cutting corners for the service to then be given a 1 star review. Ce la vie.

Very tasty! I had a creamy chicken quesadilla, it was gorgeous and the cheese was lovely and melting. I also treated myself to an enjoyable iced tea. Going to go again for brunch!

Good food and location.. . but c'mon .. a 15% default tip even when you seat yourself and order and pay from an online menu?

Beautiful building, decent amount of indoor seating (albeit up one or two floors) as well as outdoor seating in nice plaza, wifi plugs and each floor well stocked with condiments and cutlery. Good coffee!
