Didn’t live up to its reputation. My impression was they were trying to get maximum profit with minimal effort. No decor, cheap thin napkins and badly stained plates. Not made particularly welcome, definitely didn’t get any smiles, or chat and wasn’t asked how our meal was.On the positive service was prompt but the food was average and didn’t compare well with other such restaurant. Payed the bill but the owner I presume didn’t offer us our change back but took it as a tip. Get out there and try other places you will find them much nicer

My main meal ( Lamb Jalfrezi ) was delicious. The meal tasted freshly cooked, the meat was tender, and the right level of chilli 🌶 for me. It was a Saturday evening and hence busy, so service was just adequate and the meal was nearly an hour coming. We were there for the food, though, and we all agreed that our meals were well worth waiting for.

Always a top quality meal whatever you choose they only serve soft drinks but you can take your own alchoholic if you so wish recomend a visit.

Just back from Greece and hungry, we checked into this restaurant which is above a row of shops in a lovely village . They were busy for a Thursday evening. Good size room plenty of space. Prompt service great food just what we needed. Comprehensive menu I can recommend this restaurant you won’t be disappointed.

It was my son's girlfriends birthday so went for a meal out. Found Aroma on the High Street very easy to find and large car park at rear shared with Co Op. Was a friday night so quite busy but we found a table ok. Waiters friendly and took our order quickly . Food arrived with no hassle and all meals were tasty with no issues. Price for meals similar to most Curry houses but saved by having to bring your own booze. Only issue we found was it is one large room that really echo's/very noisy with people talking loudly to hear one another. Bit like a school canteen, wife had to have paracetamol for headache afterwards. Won't be going back again, shame as food ok, just too noisey.

I ordered a meal from here delivery came food was cold chips like bullets salad dripping water nan bread Rock hard omelette was burnt it was for my daughter she's 9 I could not give her that after spending 30 pound my husband had to go out to get something else shocking awfully food

The food was great and the service was excellent. You could hear yourselves speak which was good. It was very busy for a weekday which is always a good sign.

Food was nice and staff were pleasant, gets busy later in the evening. It is a bring your own alcohol place but they do have a selection of soft drinks available on site. Entrance is up a flight of stairs. Didn't have a specific children's menu but when we asked they did small portions of the curries.

Been going to Aroma regularly for the last 15 years at least Food is consistently superb and reasonably priced Thank you Aroma!

The only place to eat great Indian food in Albrighton

Staff are always friendly, takeaway options are available with minimal delay unless you order at peak weekend times (both understandable and expected). Only downside I will say is that the restaurant suffers with echoing a lot, so I won’t sit in for a meal. The lack of soft furnishings makes it a loud environment which makes it a struggle for me to hear conversation.

There are things in life that require a 'default loadout'. For example, in the video game Destiny 2, you'd need a Crimson hand cannon, Plug One Fusion Rifle and the Ascendant Rocket Launcher. In Call of Duty, an MP5 with an RPG answers 99% of problems posed when playing on Shipment. When you go to a curry house then the load out is Chicken Tikka Masala, Pilau Rice and a Plain Naan Bread. Aroma Restaurant in Albrighton smashed it. My photo is probably not very helpful and may not look very appealing, but trust me, that meal made my curry Top 5. That's quite an achievement making this reviewer's Top 5. Considering that we arrived as a party of 40, the kitchen coped very well and turned our food around quicker than a McLaren Pit Stop in Singapore. Get yourself down to this place and get a 'default' meal!

Well! What can I say? After going to this restaurant for the last 13 months every week we have only had to complain twice. One was finding a pubic hair in our food and another time which was recently the chicken and chick peas was hard. We’ve just gone in again for a meal and the owner said his chef wouldn’t be happy if we complained again. In which our answer was, if our meal we have tonight wasn’t satisfactory there is nothing we could do. Which the owner said was right. Upon this we decided to walk out and never return. We have always payed for our meals at this restaurant in full even if we wasn’t satisfied.

We haven't ever sat inside the restaurant but very often get take away from here and the food is always really well cooked, vert tasty, staff are friendly on the phone and wait time is about 45m for delivery. Iv always found it to be such a good service all round!

Have been using this Restaurant for well over 20yrs, and even after moving away from the Albrighton area we still travel a few mile to collect a takeaway order from there. The food is second to none, and very competitive with their prices. My favourite dish is a Tandoori Murghi Masala with a boiled egg and Pilau rice. They always put a tub of yogurt dip in with the curry along with a poppadom or two as a thank you. I can't wait for my next visit to Aroma. Xx

An amazing Indian restaurant. I've been to some mediocre ones but this one really is good. A large variety of dishes and they taste great. They don't sell alcoholic drunks but allow you to take your own (they provide you glasses and open bottles too).

Brilliant meal with family 5 star meal

I had heard good reviews about this place, so I decided to give it a try, I ordered a Lamb Balti with Pilau rice and onion bhaji to take away, I tried the onion bhaji and was not impressed 3 small bhaji’s that were dry and chewy, the Lamb Balti was quite average ( just like most places ) nothing special. All in all wasn’t a great experience.

Rude, poor service for a takeaway order via Uber-eats. We had confirmation from the app to say order was on its way. We waited an hour and a half and nothing, called up to be told it had “just appeared on their system” and they could get it in 15 mins and kept blaming Uber for error. When my wife said we were going to complain to Uber directly. They immediately assumed Uber would refund us and not them so they told us they would no longer make the order. When I said we had already paid and to complete the order they cancelled it on the app and came off the phone. I called back and they told me to order again on the app as it had been cancelled by mistake. To protect themselves obviously. Poor poor service and lying like we are naive to how e-commerce works. Have sat in the restaurant many times but no, this is not how you treat customers.

Wow! Best curry I’ve had for time!! Highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Balti but everything was fabulous! Well worth a visit!

Fantastic food with fantastic people

Decent food and fast service, chicken was a bit dry but being able to bring your own drinks is brillaint.

Terrible service, was told 45 minute wait, with no updates by an hour and a half, I rang again only to be told another 5 minutes, which turned out to be 20 minutes, in the end I had waited an nearly two hours and then found had my chicken roman josh and a portion of samosas missing.

Good restaurant for a curry, if in a large group book befor you visit just to make sure. Food was delicious and service was good. Serve a large variety of items and have set menu meal deals available for 1-4 people. Will visit again.

The wife and I quite enjoyed our Sunday night here. In so much that apart from the jug of tap water there was nothing to complain about. The meal was good but the service was more "functional" than friendly. The biggest surprise was that it was unlicensed and being able to take your own choice of alcohol is always a bonus as is the convenient car park.

Very busy so a bit of a delay, but food was as good as the last time we went.

We regularily have takeaways from Aroma , and generally these have been acceptable - however last week we had a fab meal of Lamb Rogan Josh ( so lean and tasTy) plus Chick Pease , onion bajiahs , mushroom rice , and nan bread - it was all of great quality - maybe there is a new chef , but PLEASE keep up these current standards Aroma .

Lovely Indian restaurant! The great thing about this place is that you can take your own alcohol, so you can drink what you like and as much as you like without being charged. The food is really nice, I got a chicken tikka bhuna with pilau rice which was really nice! Caters to vegetarians really well too, I had a vegetable samosa for starters. Staff really nice and friendly only thing I would say is service was a bit slow but they were very busy so it's understandable. Actual restaurant is nice and clean but could do with a refurbishment.

It is a a large open restaurant so you can easily spread out, important in these covid times. Even though it's large it's still homely and the staff were very covid aware. The food is very good here too!

Excellent restaurant that's served great Indian food for years. Used them for takeaways often but this was the first time I'm eaten in there and it didn't disappoint. Super service from the waiters and they are taking all the proper precautions for distancing during the Covid outbreak. They aren't licensed but there's a handy co-op just around the corner. Note that there are some stairs to climb to get into the restaurant so it may not suit less able people.

Possible the friendliest people and excellent food

I Visit this restaurant on a fairly regular basis . The food is consistently good and offers a wide choice . The staff are always polite and helpful with the manager always on hand if needed. The restaurant is always very clean and looks spot on with enough room between the tables so you are not sitting on top of each other. The only real complaint is the restaurant when busy can get very noisy which is not helped by the "wooden" flooring. The pricing for food is average and fair and they offer a take away service which I have not tried so cannot comment.you take any alcoholic drinks with you but there are soft drinks available at a good price. All in all a really friendly place which I enjoy to visit.

Went as a largish party, we all enjoyed the food which is reasonably priced. Service good, can take your own alcohol so this reduces the bill. Wouldn't use as a special occasion but good for a casual meal. Only downside is the room is quite noisy.

Very good food here. The differences between all the dishes is tangible and there is a wide range. Portions are not over large which is a good thing. Not licenced so take your own booze which they will open for you. They politely ask that you do not take your own soft drinks. Steep stairs up to the restaurant so not disabled friendly.

Great restaurant and the food is wonderful too. I just wish they had facilities for families as there is no baby change, no highchairs and it even seemed confusing when we asked for hot water to warm a bottle up. Otherwise, would highly recommend! :)

Awful takeaway !!!! I ordered Chicken Tikka Rogan Josh which basically comprised of loads of chopped tomatoes in a bland tomato sauce with four chicken pieces. This is is the second & last time I will visit this place having received the same awful standard of curry. The waiting area needs to be looked at as we had to stand up & wait quite near to people eating in the restaurant. Very disappointing !!!!!

I have eaten at the Aroma many times (eat-in, takeaway and delivery) and am always impressed. The staff are extremely friendly and there have never been any issues with orders when deliveries have arrived. Saturday was no different. We ordered for 5 and all of us were very happy with our choices. The food arrived hot and on time and there was no loss in quality compared to when eating in. I will always recommend Aroma to anyone after a good curry and this experience has only reinforced my opinion. Keep up the good work!

3rd visit, excellent food each time, staff friendly and helpful. Not very inviting on the outside but big and vibrant inside, my favourite Indian (at the moment ).

Food alright. Atmosphere awful. Like a school canteen. Decor a joke and prices over the top. No alcohol license so people bring their own, usually a lot of their own after the pub so beware it can be very loud and rowdy. Shifnal is better with more restaurants to choose from at cheaper prices and better food
