Albrighton Balti in Shropshire

Ordered from Just Eat, what a joke….. was told 5 minutes ….. 45 minutes later it turned up after chasing several times. Cold, crushed and the popadoms were in a thousand pieces !!! This is council curry at its finest !!!

Love the food here, I've been coming here since they opened, the re brand has been worthwhile and the new chef is great. Chicken Masala and Billson Balti were another level.

Xmas lunch fabulous, great starter , chicken tikka, lamb tikka and sheikh kebab, main was lamb shank , stunning . Well done Mr Ali , Abdul , Sam and all the staff

Went here with family for a late night dinner. They were extremely helpful and well informed in guiding me through the vegan-friendly options on the menu. I would highly recommend this place to any vegan or vegetarian because of the sheer plethora of options hidden in the menu. I absolutely love the flavours of everything I tried. I had poppadoms, Bombay aloo, tandoori roti, and veg jalfrezi.

We have used this restaurant since it opened over 30 years ago, never had a bad meal! Since the reopening with the new decor and menu the food has if anything got better.

Had an absolutely amazing meal this evening. Normally get takeaways which are gorgeous but ate in this evening and WOW the food is even more delicious. Can’t recommend this place enough. Staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area :-) xxx

Amazing night tonight, We went tonight as a family of 4 for my wifes birthday, really great service, very nice clean restaurant and great value for the money, lots of chicken In the curries, my wife's new favourite tikka masala, sheek kebab was outstanding. Taking small kids the chicken nuggets and chips were great a huge portion with fresh real chicken nuggets my seven year old says they are the best nuggies ever. Watch out for the spice on the spicy chips they really have a big kick. Will 100% be going again.

Portions were generous, staff were friendly as alway. The new restaurant looks amazing, really nice atmosphere inside. Loads of meat in each portion, everything freshly cooked. Cannot fault the place, 10/10

Village spice The new talk and buzz of the village. Recently opened after a refurb and ever since its been very popular, booked a table of 4! (Glad i booked) as the place was packed the Atmosphere was very cossy and homely nevertheless this must be a walk in the park for the team as service was great. Met with the owner “Abdul” what a wonderful ambitious young man full of character and passion for his business was shown. First thing first. Mocktails ordered. Took couple sips and disappeared smooth as it was it was something different same with starters but the show of the night was “Railway Lamb” i have had this dish before but no where near as Village Spice, bursting with flavours and tender lamb. Everything else flowed nicely. Only critism is portions may be abit on the healthy side but very reasonably priced. Thank you Village Spice for a wonderful evening and thank you Abdul. -Summary- Decor 10/10 Food 9/10 Service 10/10 Pricing 9/10

these guys are doing great! The restaurant has a great atmosphere inside and the young guys definitely know what they are doing. I’ve been ordering takeaways regularly from them since they’ve opened and the whole staff is always so welcoming and friendly. I was a bit too early to collect my food and they even offered me a glass of prosecco while waiting. The food is delicious…i’m slowly trying the whole menu and everything has been beautiful so far. Service is great, food is divine…what a gem. A breath of fresh air for our village, wish you all the best!

Nice to see investment in Albrighton again with the latest restaurant addition / revamp. Makes a wonderful change to the echoey and bland Indian takeaway down the road. Food was decent, service was attentive and atmosphere was lively. Few small points, but haven’t detracted any stars considering how small; the chip side was considerably smaller than expected for £4. A very small bowl. And a drinks order went forgotten after we placed it. Obviously teething issues during an incredibly busy night, so I don’t expect these will be a recurring issue when we return in the near future. Edit: appreciate the swift action Abdul, you’re sure to be a huge success in the village.

I would like to say it was my first time as I heard this restaurant was re launching with a brand new menu and decor WoW!!! I was blown away by the decor, service and the food Abdul the main man served us and it was a lovley experience and something worth driving 35 mins for Will be back soon

What a great night. Food was stunning, service was really good considering how busy it was. Mahamed was a great host for all 8 of us and even bought out free mocktails for our young 3. Would really recommend and will definitely be returning soon. Thank you very much guys

Have always enjoyed the food and personal staff attention here, but the recent refurb and bustling vibes have only enhanced the whole experience. Looks great guys, looking forward to our next meal.

The atmosphere and food here were too very high standards, however one item of my food was forgotten and while all my mates had finished eating I was left waiting, and as for the bill, we found that an extra £50 was on our bill which was noticed once we left and added it up

By a long shot, this has to be the worst Indian I've ever had in my life. The food was cold, tasted like it had been cooked in dirty pan and all burnt. The narn bead looks like it been brought from a supermarket. The mint yoghurt was like water and tasted of viniger. So, I persumed it had gone off. I will never order from here again. I'm one of the top reviewers on Google for food, so i dont take lightly to giveing anywhere, just one star. But this place doesn't deserve even one star

New to the village and Popped in with friends on a saturday night set price menu was fantastic..food was very nice (cooked a lovely panneer dish for my wife)..the same with the welcome ... loved the fact the owner came out to see us .. Will defo back in Matt & rach

I hate leaving negative reviews but this was a shocker. Absolutely lovely owner who served me but the food…………stale & unusual. We threw it away and I abhor waste. Half the container had a whole uncooked onion in, about the size of a snooker ball. I’m grieving

We have been here many times and was once a great restaurant with great food how ever the last few times have not been the best , we went last night and the whole experience from the start was terrible. There was no one in the restaurant as we entered. The waiter who must be a new member of staff couldn’t communicate very well, when we ordered food we they brought two of the items in as starts when we asked for them all together and left them on the table . I had to go and find someone to see where the rest of the food was . When the food came , the curries arrived in breakfast bowls which was dangerously hot as if it had just come out of the microwave . The rice was all stuck together. The portion sizes seemed to of reduced that I needed to ask for extra portions to what we usually order . When we originally ate at the restaurant it all the food used to be fresh home cooked this seemed to be wacked together and microwaved . All in all . The quality of the staff has gone down , the portion sizes have gone down . The quality of the food has drastically gone down and the price has practically doubled. Considering we was regular returning customers, seeing the demise of a once thriving restaurant is disappointing. Sorry we will not return . If you want to charge those prices quality and service needs to reflect it and it certainly doesn’t .

Went for a takeaway, got back home completely wrong food that I ordered. Phoned to tell them, all they wanted to do is say sorry and put the phone down... absolutely disgusted. The food that they I wouldn't feed to my dog. Avoid at all cost

It was later than first told, which is fine due to distance, overall nice flavours, wasnt oily which is a big thumbs up, there was an overuse of cinnamon in the rice and there was a sharp shard of a stone in the mixed pickle which was a shame as it tasted lovely. Naans were a little dry. Overall good..

Have been going to this restaurant every Saturday evening since it opened thirty odd years ago. Food is always excellent, and we expect to spend the evening to enjoy a good meal. Saturday 27 th was very busy and unfortunately so many customers arrived at the same time as a large pre booked party and with the Takeaway orders the kitchen staff were doing their best to feed everyone. Our meal as always was excellent ,well worth the wait

Good food for a good price and the people I interacted with were lovely.

Food took 2 hours to arrive, may not have helped that there was a big table of around 10 people. There was only one member or staff who was collecting orders but spoke to another customer who claimed it is never like this and is a rare occasion it takes this long. Another customer also had waited 1.30 hours

Fantastic flavour some curries. Arrived piping hot,nans were very tasty too. Rice cooked to perfection. The delivery driver was very polite, friendly and delivered with a smile. I would highly recommend them to anyone. And the delivery covers a wide area. Even my local a mile down the road doesn’t deliver to my area. There’s a small charge for delivery which is nothing compared to the vast area they cover.

Average, Meat was ok, flavour was bland. It was a Wednesday night so you're always going to get hit and miss but wouldn't order from here again based on my experience.

The garlic rice is so strong and overpowering that it ruins whatever you have it with. The poppadoms are usually fine but for whatever reason, tonight they tasted really chemically and oily. Was very disappointed in the quality of the curry too, it was very plain. We’ve been here twice before and always enjoyed it but tonight was so poor that we won’t be coming back. The staff are super friendly but it was no surprise that both the restaurant and collection were dead at the height of dinner tike

We have been there a few times. Food never disappoint. Is piping hot, fresh and simply delicious. Service is quick and friendly. One of my favourite curry houses ever! Also, the prices are very low compare to the quality.

Odered on just eat after a shift at my pub job I had a chicken kurma and my mom had pepper chicken tikka i also odered a two liter bottle of pop the food was fantastic but the Fanta had clearly been drunk out of by the time it had got to me. I couldn’t ring up as it was closed when I rung.

Opted to try somewhere different for my takeaway and so glad I did! Food was delivered before scheduled, it was hot and most importantly it tasted really really good...in fact it's the best Indian I've had in a very long time. I usually struggle being a veggie and end up with a few veg bits in a bland runny sauce so never expect much nowadays.. but I was so pleasantly surprised it was so tasty & exceeded my expectations! Will return for sure

I ordered from here last night and I’ve literally never eaten anything so horrific. My food was COVERED in salt, to the point I threw it all in the bin. I asked for salt on the chips, which maybe annoyed them.. as this can’t be what they typically serve.

Just picked up my Take Away, Chicken Biriyani with a Veg Curry. 🙌Absolutely Beautiful!!!! And the tastiest Veg Curry also 👌will not go anywhere else for this dish, and Mr Ali is such a wonderful host, Excellent cuisine at a great price 👌 highly recommend visiting 💯

Lovely as usual, except this time I ordered 2 sets of my usual and 1 set for my dad-in-law who came over for visit was missing the salad. He loved the food too though.

The curries were nice, but the keema naan was burnt and hard, kind of ruined it for me unfortunately.

Not great. Food came cold and dry. Chicken tikka sag had about 3 sprigs of spinach and the chips look like they came from some random kebab shop. Got sent a mint garlic dip for popadoms but no popadoms came. Really bad, unfortunately

Yet again the curries were squashed in the bag and leaked over the whole order in the bag. The chips were burnt and inedible and all the restaurant has to say is “sorry we will have a word with the driver, we will look after you next time”. Don’t think so - won’t ever use again. No customer service skills whatsoever.

Ordered through just eat. Food took ages to arrive and when it did, most of it went in the bin! They'd overcooked numerous things, disgusting soggy chicken pakoras, awful watery sauces with really strong taste of vinegar! It was foul. They also hadn't sent the correct Naan bread. Honestly, I've never complained about an Indian before but this is hands down the worst Indian I've ever eaten and it was basically inedible. Restaurant not interested in giving a refund either. AVOID!

asked for chicken tikka madras.was served a tikka massala. it even said on 1 side of the lid tikka masala and on the outside of lid tikka madras. truly disappointed. had message saying order ready for collection, only to wait 15minutes in there for the order to be ready.
