nice and polite staffs there. fried rice is delicious. tong yum soup is nice too. good balance of sweet , sour + spicy. cozy conservatory room is the highlight.

Beautiful quaint reservoir side restaurant with authentic Thai cuisine, very tasty and mouth watering dishes. Couldn't fault anything. We got the pork belly pad Thai, the prawn pad Thai, the prawn crackers and Thai soup. Very tasty and fresh.

What a hidden gem, we dined in and the food was so tasty and good value. It’s bring you own alcohol.

We booked last minute when our original plan fell through. Online booking worked really well and the text confirmation was great. We had 2 starters and 4 main meals, all were very tasty and cooked to order with large portions. The sticky rice was very sticky and the sauces in all the curry dishes were spicy but not overly hot - just as we requested when we ordered. The restaurant wasn't busy but a large family group was just leaving when we arrived. Super setting, it felt like we were guests at a private house which was really nice. Would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

This was such a perfect setting and food. We came here for a special Birthday celebration. We were visiting the area so didn’t know what to expect but we were blown away. The setting is beautiful on the edge of the reservoir with twinkling fairy lights inside and out. A lovely cosy log burning fire, and only a few tables settings makes this venue feel really intimate and cosy. The food was some of the best Thai I have ever had, the portion sizes ample too (we took home a ‘doggy bag’. They made my Husbands Birthday meal special too (didn’t know they were going to do it either) with a free special birthday sweet treat and candle! Would definitely recommend. [1 starter, 2 mains and a side £44 which we thought was very reasonable]

This is a great Thai Cafe, nice local walks around the reservoir ( Fishing Lake ) there is a decked area for outdoor dining which is lovely, smaller eating area inside with cafe and toilets. Thai Food is amazing, prices have increased since they first opened but on parr with City Restaurant.. Worth a visit, Dog friendly.

Lovely lunch, popped in for a quick drink as staying in area and they are dog friendly, but saw the menu and had the Veggie platter between us for lunch, the Cauliflower was delicious. Well presented meal and tasty.

Truly one of the most special dining experiences. The most enchanting view of the water and dinner setting. Sensitive and kind staff who set a really nice tone. Such enriching flavour in our dishes, felt like being back in Thailand Will be making distant travels to come back here again!

Amazing location, food is great with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The indoor seating area is small, I'd recommend booking, there's a larger area outside right on the water.

After walking to Dove Stone Reservoir, we took the bus to a nearby place for Thai lunch. The Thai restaurant has a beautiful environment. It’s a different experience to live in a mini pond and eat wild food. The food will be an extra bonus!

First-class environment, above-average food, very nice staff

Easily hands down one of the best thai places we've eaten in. You must book in advance as table seating is very limited inside. Took around 15 mins to get seated to our table, but was well worth it. The tom yum soup was spicy hot, but not overbearing. The girls really enjoyed the chicken satay and decent sized portions. Seems family run. Highly recommended if you are staying locally in thd area. Views also beautiful of the lake.

Great Thai food in a lovely setting. We stopped by quite late on a sunny Sunday. Place was packed so we had quite a wait but given it was such a lovely night we put that to one side. Prices a little high but you know it's been freshly prepared. Have been several times with different friends & family this year & never failed to please.b

Exceptional Thai restaurant, perfect location overlooking the reservior and gentle relaxing atmosphere. This was our second visit and the food was even more delicious than what I remembered. We had the mixed platter starters which celebrates a selection of Thai Sausage (sooo tasty) tender chicken satay with nom nom peanut sauce, Thai crackers and fishcakes, spring roll and chicken wings. All the food was outstanding quality served with a wonderful fresh salad and dressing. Trust me, everything is freshly made to order and served with pride, love and care. For mains we shared a heart shaped coconut rice, King Prawn Massam curry, the flavours in this are out of this world! Highly recommended and a cashew nut and king prawn stir fry. Very generous portions indeed and all finger licking tasty . Lastly their delicious coconut ice cream, coconutty, chewy and soooo creamy. The staff here are beautiful people, nothing is too much trouble and they work their socks off! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and am unable to not visit when in the area. Price is so reasonable they deserve every success. Tell your friends, take your family, you won't be disappointed.

Thai restaurant overseeing the lake (?) and situated at the start/end of the 2 hour hike, which makes it a great place to have a coffee or food after a short hike. Serves tea/ coffee, cakes, ice cream and thai food. Ordered a massaman curry with coconut rice as well as a thai milk tea. > massaman curry doesn't come with rice, so you need to order that separately. Portion was decent and a lot of meat. Was a little salty for my preference, but if you have it with rice, it's fine. Overall taste was good. > coconut rice: normal. couldn't taste the coconut due to the strong taste of the curry, so sticky rice might've been a better option. > thai milk tea: a bit sweet but nice. not too strong.

We were a party of 8 and had pre booked. The service was excellent, friendly and accommodating. The food was exceptional, really tasty and plenty of it, flavoursome. We had an amazing experience with wonderful views

Just had an amazing meal, we chose Lad Na chicken and egg noodle in a flavoursome broth and Pad Kee Mao with pork belly which we ordered with a hot spice level. The portions are very good so we got a couple of bowls so we could share the dishes. Absolutely gorgeous with just the right heat. I had Thai lime soda which was really refreshing. Very enjoyable and authentic food, better, in my opinion, than the more expensive places in town (Manchester). Will definitely return to show friends our new discovery! Probably best booking a table to avoid disappointment as the dining area inside isn’t very big.

OMG! It's a definat, not to be missed. The food was amazing. Lovely setting the sun was shining, which made it that little bit better BUT still the food was lovely.

This is an exceptional restaurant, the best Thai food I have ever eaten and I am a real foodie. Freshly cooked ingredients, really generous portions, delicious flavours and a friendly and 'Nothing is too much trouble' group of beautiful people serving you. Whats not to love! We liked everything about this place, the views, the relaxed atmosphere and of course the outstanding food and customer service! Really reasonably priced, Arnfield Fly Fishery Cafe & Restaurant is a hidden gem. Highly recommended, we cant wait to return! Yum Yum Yummy :) Thank you so much for making our visit so enjoyable.

A gorgeous, dog friendly, Thai restaurant. The Thai tea was so good. I had khoa pad krapow which I asked to be mildly spiced. It was perfect and delicious. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful. The service was friendly but staff didn’t ask if food was ok, if I wanted anything else or take empty plates back to the kitchen with them. Just small things that would make the service 5 star. I had an ice cream to go and enjoyed a walk along the reservoir back. Would recommend.

The view itself deserves a 5 star but the food here is so authentic and delicious too! The drunken noodles is a bit too spicy, even we can eat quite spicy food, it was a bit too much for us. Make sure that you tell them to make it mild if you’re ordering that! The massaman curry is so creamy and tasty! So cute that they make the rice a heart shape! Food portions are really generous here, my partner got a scoop of ice cream too. It’s a bit too sweet for me but he loves it!

Avoid at any cost. They will charge you twice by giving you fake reciept with not authorised written on it first time you pay. And then ask you to pay again. Happened with me the other day and I was too busy to check my account and the fake receipt. Disgrace to the beautiful place..

I almost don't want to review this café, in case it becomes too popular! The two times I've visited for dinner have been exceptional, very tasty Thai restaurant food. Visiting the café for lunch or just for a quick drink has also only ever been a good experience. The location is fantastic, with views over the reservoir, with plenty of outside seating, and a small, cosy indoor seating area as well.

We all love Tom Yum Kung and my son loved it too when he tried it for the first time, for my daughter…she loves the pork knuckle rice with sauce added to the rice. The food is Thai family style and also the simple menu options are good, and the quiet environment is also a good place to relax. A dog-friendly restaurant and relaxing place. The restaurant is next to a pond and jungle. We walked around the pond in less than an hour. We booked a table in advance so we could have dinner and rest after a walk around the pond.

Amazing food but the whole place is a bit outdated. I think an investment is needed to renovate the place and the outdoor area, as a lot of wood is rotted and the barriers are missing.

The food was amazing as well as the reservoir view. The red curry was rich in flavour, from the sweetness to the spiciness. I love the Pad Thai which was moist but not oily, the chopped peanuts and lime layered the flavour.

Very nice place for lunch, good tasty Thai food. Not particularly cheap, but lots of plates would be good for sharing. I sat outside, there were tables inside lots prebooked. Friendly service. You need to go inside to order and pay. Lots of Thai customers so that shows it must be good

Today I had my birthday dinner with my family at this restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing, it would have been better if it’s not raining :/ To be honest, the foods weren’t the best. Maybe because I had amazing Thai foods from my city and I’ve been to Thailand so I had high expectations for this restaurant. The foods were pretty average, I enjoyed the Thai red milk tea the most 😅 But the portion size of the food platter was big enough for all three of us so it’s pretty decent. What can be improved - the Tom Yum can be slightly more sour (personal preference) (This is just my opinion, you might really enjoy it!)

Lovely spot, very friendly owner, fantastic home made chocolate cake. Very clean. Visited again recently, chocolate fudge cake very good, a few other people were enjoying the Thai food, they said nice things about it, we're likely to go back ourselves one evening and try it.

Delicious Thai food, really tasty and freshly made. It was such a surprise to have this in a scenic location next to the reservoir. Ample parking and a great walking location. Coffee and alcohol were also served. A lovely spot to rest after hiking with a drink and food.

"I can't believe we had such a terrible experience! 😡😡😡😡😡😡 I will never support them again! 🙅‍♀️ We came all the way from the south side! We made a reservation for 12:00, and they said there would be indoor seating by 14:00. We arrived at 12:30, and they asked us to go for a walk and come back at 14:00. There were no nearby alternatives, so we had to walk around with our children for a few hours until 14:00. When we finally arrived at 14:00, they apologized and said their colleagues made a mistake and couldn't give us a table. They kept repeating their apologies and didn't mention when we could get a table as soon as possible. Their attitude was also very poor, and they didn't consider any compensation for us (the four children were starving). However, the frustrating thing is that we had already been outside eating for a while and returned after half an hour only to be told there were no tables available! The person who attended to us was also a Hong Kong man! I am truly angry and disappointed 😞. With so many Chinese restaurants in Manchester, this is one of the few that I will never go to eat at! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡" I can't believe I'm so angry! 😡😡😡😡😡😡I won’t help you anymore! 🙅‍♀️I made a special trip from the south to Li! If you make a reservation at 12:00, there will be indoor seats at 14:00! I arrived at 12:30, and he asked me to go out and walk around, and there would be a seat at 14:00! There were none nearby, so we had to take the kids and walk for a few hours until 14:00. We waited until 2 o'clock to arrive and told them that my colleagues had made a mistake, so they didn't come to us! I keep repeating that I am sorry for not being able to get to Taiwan. We don’t have to say when we will arrive first. We can get to Taiwan as soon as possible! Their attitude was also very bad, and I never thought about any compensation (four children were so hungry that they cramped). Great food, great service, great location.

I’ve had takeout and delivery from here before, but today ate in for the first time, with my Thai family. All 3 of us said that that was the best Thai food we have ever had outside of Thailand (including in neighbouring Asian countries and countless authentic Thai restaurants we have been to within the UK). We each had a portion of sticky rice + various dishes to share and everything was incredible. The best Thai iced tea too. Also lovely staff, casual atmosphere, great view and even dog friendly, amazing experience, highly recommend.

What a fantastic little place. I stumbled across here by chance after visiting when walking one day and decided to return after reading rave reviews online. I would recommend booking as there is only 5-6 tables in there, which can be done by telephone/what’s app. The setting is stunning, overlooking the waters of Arnfield. Whilst the dining area is in a conservatory type setting there is a log burner making the room comfortably warm. I thought the Thai food was superb. Good choice, fresh ingredients and very tasty. Prices are reasonable and although it is not licenced you can take your own beer if you’d like to. Can’t wait to go back.

Upon approach, this doesn't look like a Thai restraunt. It's in the car park for a reservoir and there is a sign on the door for boot hire. When opening the door, you're hit with the waft of Thai food and all doubts are forgotten. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. I did find it a little unnerving who close the ducks swam to a Thai restaurant.

We had the most delicious food and view on our pit stop today! The siracha cauliflower is the most amazing I have ever tasted!!! Next time I am in the area I will be back to try more !

One of the best Thai food restaurants in Manchester. The cooking and the sauce are good (we can see the wholehearted efforts of the chefs). However, the ingredients can be further improved, i.e. the beef and prawns are not fresh enough.

Absolutely love this place. The food is delicious, the setting is beautiful and the staff are just lovely. Honestly the best latte I've had, which keeps me coming back. If i could eat here every day i would. Will settle for a latte always made with care, very addictive 😋 .

Very cosy atmosphere with the log burner lovely and warm on a very wet cold day. Food and service was good.

The thai food was all authentic. The coconut rice was awesome and you must have a try with any curry. Green curry will be good enough for a start. The atmosphere was perfect. You can dine in with your beloved one. The stove will keep you warm during winter time. The view of Arnfield Reservoir is fantastic. It is excellent to dine in during day time, dusk time or night time.

It's a lovely place looks quite Magical with all the lights reflecting in the glass. Food was very good. People really nice. But you need to take your own wine. But that's no problem.

We stumbled across this restaurant while out for a drive in Derbyshire. What a find !! We had prawn and cashew stir fry and red Thai curry with egg rice. Both dishes were freshly cooked and delicious. We will definitely return
