Homemade food, really tasty🙌 fish & chips is the perfect balance of batter❤️. Steak and Stilton pie is a great mix of flavors if you like blue cheese. Overall a great place to have lunch or dinner.

Just resting after a fabulous lunch served by Phil and his fantastic team. I had the home made sausage roll to start which was tasty and delicious. For my main I decided to have the Mussels and frittes which could have fed two people. The sauce was rich and creamy with chorizo in and the mussels cooked just right.

Called in on a Sunday lunchtime without prior booking and the proprietor went out of his way to arrange a table. It was full and we were very lucky to be accommodated. The staff were friendly and attentive. We both had a roast beef dinner and can honestly say that we both said that it was the best that we had ever had in a pub/restaurant. The quality and quantity was excellent and represented very good value for money. We are not local having travelled 35 miles but will ensure that we book prior to our next visit

Called in for a nice quiet meal on a Thursday and the place was buzzing! The staff were extremely polite, very helpful and always smiling. The food we ordered (Tapas) was outstanding, better than a lot of the Spanish restaurants I have visited on my travels over the years, would absolutely not hesitate to return again, thank you all so much and see you soon :)

We made a random stop in Glossop this Sunday afternoon. Good choice on menu including pizza and tapas but we opted for the traditional Sunday Roast - it didn’t disappoint. Large portions - wish I had skipped the starter. Choice of roast with roast and mash potatoes, carrots, parsnip. Yorkshire pudding, cabbage, cauliflower cheese - served in individual dishes which was a nice touch. Food piping hot - dishes and plates hot too so the food didn’t go cold. It was perfect. We couldn’t manage Dessert but other diners did - looked amazing - again wish I’d skipped the starter! Excellent service- we came across four staff during our visit- they were all friendly and attentive. We will return for sure.

Had the brunch, one pizza, 4 cocktails and bottomless Larger or Prosecco. They did top you up often to be fair, checked if you wanted another cocktail and one of the guys joked around with us and the rest were polite. Pizza crust was a little bit soft I thought but it was still a decent pizza.

The pizzas are hit and miss, if you're ordering a pizza with toppings they get put on after, so veg are raw.

After trying hundreds of pizza places across all Europe, I can say that this pizza is one of the best that I have tried in a long time. You can try new flavours or go for the classics. 🍕 Fresh ingredients and handmade dough with a wooden oven make it just perfect. Really friendly staff and nice environment to have a great dinner after a hike or a long day at work. They have great deals for drinks, they look fancy some of them. (I don't drink 🤣) Highly recommend!

Spent my second Christmas day here for an absolutely lovely meal again. Brilliant place, great staff, and fantastic food. They did themselves proud making sure every had a fab time, and it was much appreciated. Whether it's christmas day or any other time, it is always friendly and welcoming, and whether it's the wood fired pizza through the week or roast on a sunday, the food is spot on. Also great for a relaxing drink, an all around great place.

Once again our experience was excellent. I will take this opportunity to thank all of the staff for their contribution to making the lunchtime special. Sorry for the low star review was done in error.

The wife and I dropped in yesterday afternoon (Sunday) after a long dog walk, staff were very welcoming and had no issue with us bringing a dog inside. We had a couple of drinks and ordered the Sunday lunch which was fantastic, plenty of choice and a full plate which included cauliflower cheese. Mash, roasties, carrots, cabbage, and of course the obligatory Yorkshire pudding and beef which was cooked to perfection and virtually fat free. Deserts of sticky toffee and chocolate fudge cake was just as nice and very light considering. Excellent service throughout and will definately be returning.

Went for boozy brunch for my birthday at the end of March. Absolutely fantastic. Food was great the 90 min drinks deal is definitely the best we've all been to. Well worth the money, staff were great and it's a lovely venue. Thanks for making my birthday great. We'll be back again without doubt

Went in on a Saturday afternoon about 130pm. Ordered a pizza and a couple of drinks. Pizza was outstanding and variety of beer was good. Friendly landlord as well. Would definitely visit again.

What do you call a cross between a pub and a pizzeria? A pubzzeria perhaps? Whatever it is Woody's is just superb. Glossop has a real jewel in its North Derbyshire crown with this place. As visitors to the town we were feeling ravenous after our journey and came across Woody's by chance. And I'm so glad we did. There was a roaring open fire to welcome us, the decor is delightful, good selection of not-overpriced drinks and the pizzas were amongst the best this side of Italy I've ever had. What really sets Woody's apart though is the fabulous, attentive, polite and friendly staff. They made us feel like valued customers; something of a rarity in this day and age. We'll be returning again very soon.

Great value pizza on a Wednesday/ Thursday, one of the nicest pizza in Glossop plus it’s a great pub as well.

Just had delicious pizzas at Woodys. There were loads of choice and the two we had were lovely. To top it all, all pizzas were half price (Weds and Thurs). A really economic and tasty mid week option. It was £10 a head which included alcoholic drinks 👍

Really nice freshly made wood-fired pizza with a range of meat, veggie, and vegan options to choose from. My pizza, was flavoursome and crispy and I washed it down with a pint of Aspalls cider. Pizzas were served on wooden boards with pizza cutters so you can choose your slice size yourself. I'm a hearty chap and the pizza size was perfect for me, my wife struggled a bit with the last couple of slices of hers. Two pizzas and two pints came to just under 30 quid and for that money I'd happily go back.

It was just brilliant. 6 stars. It's a lovely place I could get comfortable in. The staff were friendly, the food was quick and the pizzas were delicious. I had a great time, thank-you for having me.

We had our Wedding party here. Phil and his staff did an amazing job decorating the Green Room. Food was fabulous, we had the best time. Can highly recommend 🎉🎶🍾💒

Ordered pizza to collect, was ready pomptly and enjoyed. The quality was good for the price which was very affordable. The bar looked well equipped and good price for cocktails but didn't try this time. Will definitely go back to try more :)

Had great meal tonight. Buy 4 and get 2 free Was extremely disappointed by the belly pork. A large plate covered in carrot slicers with just one tiny piece of belly pork. !!! Steak strips had enough to share but defo no sharing with only one piece of pork. Disappointed

Delicious, fresh homemade food. The tapas style small plates work very well. Owner is very friendly and welcoming and happily rearranged tables to make room for our pram. Decor and atmosphere is warm and relaxed. Excited to go back when the rooftop bar plans come to fruition.

We love this place. The service, food, ambiance, drinks, everything is spot on. We visited for our wedding anniversary two days after reopening post lockdown and had such a lovely meal. The small plates are not small and such good value for money and most importantly taste fantastic. We will return and highly recommend

We ordered the roast dinner take out, one beef and 3 chicken. The delivery turned up 5 minutes early and the gentleman was lovely and polite. Now the food, the food was divine! We requested a few alterations, such as gravy served separately and it was all accommodated for us. Everything was cooked to perfection, the beef was so tender it melted in the mouth. It was all packaged well and with care, nothing spilled over or leaked. The Victoria Lounge has truly discovered a fantastic way to keep going during lockdowns, I would never have thought a takeaway roast dinner could be so delicious and still plenty warm enough. Congratulations Victoria Lounge and thank you very much for a lovely meal. We will be back!

My wife and I were wondering how to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my 30th birthday in the middle of lockdown. We'd not eaten here before but thought we'd give the delivery a try and were very glad that we did!The food arrived bang on time and was really good. I'd recommend the onion bhaji burger and the sticky toffee pudding!

I don't eat batter on fish, I mentioned this when ordering fish and chips, they gave me pan-fried fish. The food is AMAZING! well worth the money. Staff are polite, friendly and can't do enough for you. Well worth visiting.

Excellent, one word just sums it up, excellent. How a great evening out for a pub meal should be, excellent company, food, service and atmosphere. Just one small suggestion: a greater choice of alcohol free beers including beer not just lager would be good.

Table service only which would work if staff actually went to the tables. Waited over 45 minutes for a drink. Only stayed put because we were waiting for friends to arrive. Rude staff. Kept telling us to sit down instead of standing up at our table "due to licensing". Businesses should be doing their best to generate trade not alienating customers who are spending money. Many businesses will sadly have gone to the wall during covid. Some others maybe deserve to.

We were awkward customers today as we’re on the keto diet. My girlfriend is also vegetarian and allergic to eggs. The chef and waiter couldn’t have been more helpful and provided us with an excellent lunch. Whoever’s in the kitchen here is a star. Their chef is brilliant. I highly recommend the smoked paprika aioli - with anything.

We ordered dinner for home delivery today. It was awesome. Here's lots to choose from and veggie/vegan options too. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger and also fish and chips. Really good size portions, not too small or too big. Everything was delicious and the ingredients really good quality.We will definitely be ordering again. I am guilty of not leaving reviews half as often as we should but on this occasion it was a must. Last night we ordered from victoria lounge - home delivery.Having been there in the past for bottomless brunch (last year i must say) we wasn't so impressed with the food however we had seen them advertising recently a new menu with lots of choice so thought we would take the risk and i am so glad we did.You can see from the photo just how good this was.We ordered the minted lamb burger, mac n cheese and salt and pepper fries. As you can see on the photo they sent extra fries with the burgrt and a portion of coleslaw and salad (these themselves i would have paid for as they were absolutely amazing, homemade and so much flavour) you could taste the fresh mint in the burger and the mac and cheese was amazing. The s&p fries were also amazing, I'm usually not that impressed if they're not from a chinese but these were even better. We will definitely be ordering again and lastly our food was delivered within 30 minutes of ordering (and thats to charlesworth)! Thank you!

This is a great local pub. The food and drinks are always excellent and served by pleasant staff at all times. I am missing my visits there due to the crisis and hope normal service resumes as soon as possible but in the meantime thanks for your home deliveries and hope many people are supporting you till we can come back through the door.
