The food was extremely good cooked perfectly and the service was also very impressive, had a lovely time.

Just stopped off here for an hour, sat outside in the sun. The fella that served us was polite and very chirpy. Was obviously a dog lover as he paid the pooch loads of attention. We just ordered a few bits to share which was really nice.

Llegué a las dieciocho diez y afortunadamente había un tipo llamado Cuthbert trabajando detrás de la barra. Tuvimos una muy buena conversación sobre fútbol y hockey sobre hielo y me dio un excelente servicio. ¡Vuelvo enseguida!

Fuimos (2 anuncios 1 canal) y no estaba muy ocupado, encontramos un asiento ya que se reservaron bastantes mesas. Pedí comida, pero el miembro del personal que me servía me pareció muy miserable como si no quisieran estar. allí o no me quieren allí. La comida llegó y estaba bien presentada, caliente y muy sabrosa. Le pedí a la salsa de menta que me avisaran de que se habían agotado y que tenía que pedir los palitos de verduras de mi hijo porque se habían olvidado de traerlos. Terminamos nuestras comidas y como habíamos estado esperando un tiempo para un miembro del personal, mi hijo le preguntó si ella iba a pedir su pudín. Tan pronto como ella lo pidió había llegado en cuestión de minutos. No utilicé ninguna de las instalaciones, así que no puedo comentar. Todo bien, pero podría haber sido mejor.

A pesar de que este lugar no estaba ocupado, no hubo reconocimiento cuando entramos. Se acordonaron grandes áreas y la mayoría de las mesas estaban reservadas, pensamos que debía haber una gran fiesta de entrenadores llegando hasta que, después de varias cosas, pensamos que era Menos mesas para que las limpien. . . 2 personas se pararon detrás del bar hablando y nos vieron caminar arriba y abajo buscando un lugar para sentarnos. Cuando preguntamos qué estaba disponible ahora, señaló una mesa para 3 (éramos 4), así que encontramos una silla al azar. . El domingo el asado estaba apagado (no se nos dijo cuando entramos, así que el tiempo que se invirtió en elegir fue desperdiciado) aunque no estaba ocupado, las comidas tardaron una edad en llegar y, básicamente, no valen la pena. . . las tartas se calentaron, pero demasiado las costras eran duras, con una salsa espesa y grumosa, ¡como lo era el puré y el polvo que todavía contenía! . . La base de pizza estaba poco hecha con la base de pasta de tomate masticable. Lasaña vegetariana se redujo a nada con una ensalada que era toda lechuga con un pequeño trozo de tomate. La máquina de recarga de bebidas estaba rota, así que tuvimos que colocar los lentes detrás de la barra. . . . ¡Un miembro del personal comenzó a aspirar una de las áreas acordonadas mientras comíamos! Solo se pidieron 2 postres, pero no fueron mejores, y no había helado de chocolate para el helado, así que solo se usó vainilla. Un miembro del personal también salió de la cocina y su uniforme se veía sucio y 2 tallas demasiado pequeñas con el estómago colgando sobre sus pantalones que estaban colgados demasiado bajos, se veía horrible. . . Una visita realmente mala nunca volveremos, no se les podría molestar ni un ápice. . .

Called here today to catch up with some friends for Lunch, were made very welcome by the lovely efficient staff. Ordered quickly and not a long wait for lunch, I had a steak sandwich which was very tender and cooked to perfection, served with delicious skinny, skin on fries which were amazing. Can't remember exact price for the plentiful meal but it was under £6.00 so excellent value for such a delicious meal, the others in our party all cleared their plates and could not fault their lovely food. Well done Arena Square will definitely be back!

We visited today. Very limited menu. This was off that was unavailable. When the food did arive it was nice but such a tiny portion I left hungry. The waitress did bring me extra salad which was kind but very dissapointed. Will never return. Very poor value for money.

The pie was great, the onion rings could've been better, the lady serving ur was really friendly and helpful. I'd give this five green dots out of five white spots for the service provided

Very disappointed. No lunchtime menu just normal menu. Service very poor. Tables who came after us served before. Waiting so long for food about 50 minutes approx. Good broughly to table by chefs rather than waiting staff. The chefs were heard to remark that we should pay extra for this level of service. I don't think so on the quality of the food we had 3 burgers 2 beef and 1 chicken. All of which were dry as though left for a while after cooking and the chicken was overcooked. I was told on paying it wasn't it was just the costing (but the coating doesn't change the chicken). Don't mind paying for good food but this was bad. Won't be back again.

As a family we have dined here under the previous guise of Arena square and the new header off 1810..to be fair the food was ok and a reasonable portion too, although the drink is a bit pricey..hence the review title.. It can get busy and waiting times at the bar become extended staff are polite but on occasion seem uninterested but given the footfall at busy periods probably can't blame them.. we try to call at the quieter times... But its handy for me for a pint after work....

I have been to this place many times when it was Arena Square, which I have never had a problem with. However, me and my girlfriend thought we'd see how it was under this new name and a family member had been and said the food was good enough but had to wait quite a while for orders to be taken etc. When we got there its was about 5:30pm so a Sheffield Steelers Game had already started so we thought it would be quieter. We entered and firstly there was no indication as to whether you waited for a server or sat yourself down. We decided to walk around to find a table, there were quite a few empty tables but close to the children play area which we didn't fancy sitting next to – still no acknowledgement from staff. We decided to sit at the tables around the bar area, then noticed there were no menus, so we decided to get a drink and ask at the bar. The bartender was nice enough and said just wait at the end of the bar and a server will seat you (but there still wasn't and sign or anything telling you to do so). We stood there for a couple of minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff so I decided to stop a server and ask, they then said there would be a 40 minute wait – which seemed daft because of all the empty tables – she didn't even attempt to take a name for a reservation which seemed like they weren't bothered about having us a customers. We decided to finish our drinks and leave to eat somewhere else. While we were there another three groups/customers did exactly the same as us, but left immediately without even getting a drink. What I didn't understand was the amount of vacant tables that we weren't supposed to eat at. Might decide to visit again to actually try and eat but not likely.

The waitress (Becky) was excellent, the food arrived quickly and was very well presented with a taste to match. Would recommend this for food and drink.

We visit this pub every time there is a ice hockey match on st the arena

We ate here while staying at the ibis across the road. The waitress service for food orders and drinks is great especially when you're round the table with friends. The food was really good and the drinks were reasonably priced, although we felt it could do with some music or tv with sports in the background to lift the slightly sombre atmosphere. Although my payment got taken twice it was later resolved and refunded over the phone. I probably wouldn't go here again but I enjoyed the visit.

Visited there with my husband and young son before the first Sheffield Steelers game of the season at the arena. The game wasn't a sell out and face off wasn't until 7pm (this was 4.15!) Found an empty table and sat down only to be abruptly informed by a young waitress that there was a 40 minute wait for a table and then another 40 minute wait for food !! Nearly an hour and a half before actually getting something to eat !! I asked the waitress why and the only answer she could give me was "we are just really busy"

Tried to book a table for 12 people for the 8th December as we are going to the Queen concert to be told we don't take booking when there is something on at the arena. Is it me or am I missing something ????

We visited last week for the first time after is has re-opened under a new name. It is now a Grill and Pizza place and has a great menu. I had a stone baked pizza with ham and mushrooms then added buttermilk chicken and red onions as extra toppings. My partner had a stuffed base pizza (this is basically a margarita pizza with another pizza on top!) with beef brisket and some other bits on top. Both pizzas were piled high with stuff. We also ordered a side of mac and cheese and peperoni fries. I could only manage half my pizza but I took the other half home so it didn't get wasted!The other items on the menu all sounded good and the other food we saw getting served all looked as tasty as the pizzas were. You can get refillable drinks which you can get yourself anytime from a machine. It was quite busy for a Friday lunch time. Service was good and we had been told that everything is freshly made to order so may take a little while longer than normal but it was all worth the wait. Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food.I'm sure we will be back to try something else soon!

Visited here for a few drinks. Directly opposite the Sheffield Arena so it does get busy. Food was nice and had a few drinks while we were there. Cosy setting.

This was our 3rd visit to this place ,on the 1st I had hand pulled beer ,on the2nd visit I was told they had a busy day before so NO hand pulled beer ,on our 3rd visit NO hand pulled beer & was told by the person that was serving that they didn't order the beer because NO hand pulled beer again,it sounds like someone should get their act together.All our visits the food was fine,so well done catering staff.

Wow is all I can say. Went for a meal for my dads 70th birthday & im so glad we did. Our waitress Louise was 1st class in every way which made our visit all the more better. the supervisor/manager in a white shirt (never got his name) even took time to take some family pictures for us as could see it was a special occasion. We will be definately returning keep up the good work

We visited thrice, I think, during our week in Sheff. The food was more than satisfactory; as a fish eater, I had no complaints whatsoever. Also a pleasant surprise was the fact that we ordered two of the same glasses of wine and subsequently got the whole bottle. In the evening, we also partook of some nice cocktails containing cherry and sundry sweet liquids. On the whole, a very pleasant experience.

Lovely food. In a good location for stadium. Only downside was no music on after 10.30pm. Good value for money

Travelled to Sheffield for snooker at the Crucible & had lunch @ the Table table Arena, before checking into the Ibis across the road & later Dinner in the evening & breakfast next morning. Every meal was enjoyable ( albeit a sandwich for lunch ) dinner a Thai curry & a full on breakfast was superb. An agreeable pub to dine, pleasant surroundings a good menu & service - spot on & oh sensable prices.

After a disappointing previous visit, for which to be fair we received free drinks to compensate a little, we decided to give the restaurant another go and we were rewarded with a very nice meal. I had the Coronation Chicken burger and my partner had the Thai Red curry and we would recommend both. Special mention too for our waitress (Paige) who was very pleasant helpful and efficient. The pub/restaurant is ideally situated for Sheffield Arena and Cineworld and is clean, comfortable and relaxing. They also have Thatchers Cider on draft which is an added bonus for me.

Thought we'd try this pub for a change and I am glad that we did!Booked online - easy peasyCar parking was nice and easy, the staff were pleasant, table clean and the decor was good.The food was super - everyone enjoyed their meals.I had the liver and this was really nice - no nasty "tubes".The standard Sunday lunches a couple of our party had was really good - lovely beef!I really pleasant experience and I will be definitely be coming back and recommending this pub restaurant to my friends.

Becky was my waitress and she was not only polite but very friendly also which puts you at ease almost instantly. The tables were clean and the atmosphere was very calm and inviting. When ordering I was advised of the special, and when I asked for advise Becky was very honest and very helpful.The food was presented nice and indeed tasted how it looked.I would recommend this restaurant wether your staying for casual reasons or business.

Sheffield Arena Concert Goers really have it all here. A popular watering hole for relaxing and gathering with friends before the Music Starts…. But for those of us wanting a hot meal, that’s more memorable than the array of fast foodie outlets around the Arena Square, this just can’t be beat.! I arrived around 5:00 to be sure of a table and was surprised at how popular this venue is….getting more and more busy as fast as the car-parks filled up. Even without a prior booking, due to the excellent Table Management, my table was made ready bang on time in just 20 minutes.I decided to dive straight into a Main course and for me the Fabulous Fish section looked really enticing. The Sea Bass and fresh tasty vegetables were a perfect choice at a great price point…no shock for the wallet here. Not having a starter can really test the service especially during busy times, but I needn’t have worried. The young and attentive staff were “Poised and On-Point” delivering my freshly prepared main course, close to perfection, in almost no time at all. Drinks arrived quickly from a great selection and the wine list, though not comprehensive, is stylish and inexpensive by any measure, the Aussie Chardonnay complementing my chosen Sea Bass well. The excellent menu implores us to finish a great meal in style and this definitely doesn’t disappoint. ---A Gin & Tonic infused Lemon Trifle is anything but ordinary; tangy and refreshing you will get to the bottom of the glass bowl wanting more, you really have to try this to appreciate it, the very definition of a “true classic”.!

We visited on Mother's Day as a party of 7, 5 adults and 2 small children. There was no waiting around and we were shown to our table straight away. The table was clearly designed for 6, with 6 beautiful high backed cushioned chairs, but as there were 7 of us another chair was added to the table which was a standard bar chair so it looked a little bit mismatched. This didn't bother me at all though, it reminded me of the Mad Hatters Tea party which always make me smile :) Especially as staff had placed balloons on our table as we were there for a special occasion. The children were brought a large activity sheet and a box of wax crayons. These sheets also doubled as the children's menu and there was a great selection of food for the kids. As it was Mother's Day a special three course menu was available offering three courses for £16.99, which we all agreed was great value. There were lots of options and all 5 adults in our party ordered from this menu.Overall the food was good, the only bug bear I had was the side salad of my main was just a handful of lettuce leaves. The desserts really were the crowning piece of the whole meal and we all left full and happy! At the end of the meal when the bill was brought to the table a small posy of Daffodils was brought over with a card attached that said "A Gift for Mum" This included a free meal for Mum when she returned to the restaurant within the next few weeks. Really good customer service, was struggling with menu options and a lovely young man, think he might have been managing the restaurant took it upon himself to advise us and was thoroughly attentive without being intrusive throughout our visit. Always like to compliment good service. Found staff in general to be polite and helpful, even though it was very busy and would return when we go to our next concert at Sheffield arena as not local to the area.

Five of us visited here on Sunday night for a meal. We had pre-booked which was good as the lady in front of us got told there was a 30 minute wait for a table. We were seated at a table in an area a bit separate from others which was nice as it was quieter. There was plenty of choice on the menu and they also had some seasonal specials. It took a while for me to decide what I wanted as there was so much nice choice but I settled on a main off the specials which was breaded chicken escalope with bacon, melted cheese and a fried egg on top and it was served with fries and salad. My partner had surf and turf off the seasonal menu and we also ordered a sharing starter, two scampi and chips and a chicken forestierre and all the food was very nice. I had tiramisu for dessert which was nice although a bit strong. Service was good and with drinks the bill was just over £115; not bad really. We shall be visiting again as there is a lot more on the menu I want to try!

Four of us stopped for breakfast Saturday morning before we went onto the arena and we were suitably impressed. We all had the ultimate breakfast, which was hot, all cooked fresh, came out quickly and was delicious. To drink, I had orange juice which was ok, and the guys had tea, which was apparently good but didn't come out quite as hot as expected. Our waitress was Becky and she was great, good service, polite and friendly. We'd definitely return!

Absolutey no atmosphere, staff were dull and food was disappointing. I decided on the chicken Kiev however the delicious garlic taste I was expecting was replaced with the taste of a chicken curry!?! My boyfriend had paprika chicken that tasted like smoked fish. I assume the griddle wasn't clean? Chips were cold, dry and chewy with little sign of potato. After the meal we mentioned the chips were cold to which we got no reply. Would give half a star but not allowed.

The food here was good and service was quick. friendly staff. nice clean toilets. We was there from 5 oclock untill shutting time.

9 of us went here for a meal tonight for the leaving do of a work colleague. Got to say we were disappointed. Considering it was quiet there was a long wait between starter and main. One main was wrong. Meat lasagne instead of spinach and ricotta. Had to wait for the latter to arrive and the rest of us had finished by the time it came. When it did it was awful and in edible. A side of chips was also forgotten and brought out late and we weren't offered any mayo or salad cream and had to hunt down a member of staff to get some. The lasagne was knocked off the bill and they were apologetic but for the money charged for average pub grub, I for one will not be back.

Really enjoyed both my visits friendly staff. Especially girl with dark short bobbed hair youngishh girl. Very helpful. Kind. Very food customer service. Seated straight away in a clean spacious area. Young girl took food and drink order straight away..Food was yummy. I had gammon steaks. Yum genorus portion.Partner had chilli loved it genorus portion again.Son had chicken nugs chips corn on cob happy boy lovely. Definitely be returning again. 100% recommended ! !!! Good prices friendly staff warm welcoming atmosphere.

Got to the arena 2hrs before event. Parked up and called in. It was busy and we had a wait of 15mins. But it was well worth the wait. Food was excellent and the Staff were very helpful and friendly. Well worth calling in....Value for money around £9.50per/head (adults).

Went here for a birthday meal 10 people when arriving was met well by staff ordered different food the plates of ribs with chicken paprika is great people who ordered Sunday dinner not happy meat so thin and not much food on plate for the price you pay not good at all this will put us off going again

me and my husband eat here sometimes so i suggested it for 11 of us to go for a meal to celebrate a birthday.we had an assortment of dishes,steaks burgers,risotto.liver, mixed grill,and more.the starters mains and desserts were really good,they also brought our birthday cake out and sung with us. the service was really good ,the food delicious . we couldn t fault it. thank you very much to Becky and staff . a really enjoyable day out. you will be seeing us again soon

My husband and I popped in here whilst visiting family in Sheffield. We had not booked and they were very busy but were happy to find us a table. We have only ever eaten at our local Table Table in Poole and have always been happy with the food and service. The staff here were very welcoming and attentive without being pushy. We were advised that there would be a 30 minute delay with the food but our sharing starter arrived well before that time, it was lovely. Our main courses were equally lovely, hot and fresh. Excellent value. Will definitely return when ever visiting family in Sheffield.

I was invited to my relations 30th birthday ,about 24 of us I think , the person who arranged it was told we had to pre order the meals , I did think it was a good idea , but something went wrong , not sure what but cut a long story short there was a meal missing from the pre order and a meal missing completely , my relation mentioned to a member of staff that it would have been the correct thing to do was a simple head count to make sure it matched the amount of meals , the very abrupt reply was ,Don't you tell me how to do my job". One of my parents actually walked out and went home after waiting 24 minuets for his meal ,as always it came a few minuets later ,The food was ok nothing to shout about , the larger was good but a bit expensive .I won't go back for food and a live a few mile away and so do most of the people that want so a bad impression will stick in all our minds ,especially Don't tell me how to do my job"Well done

4 of us called for some food and drinks before watching the steeldogs. We all had food which was really good and in generous portions, also not expensive! We had a mixture of ales and lager, all of which were good. All in all, a really nice place to eat and drink, with a nice and relaxed atmosphere.

We watched a show at Sheffield Arena and then popped here for a bite to eat about 6.30pm. it is only a short walk from the arena so ideal, we were seated quickly and given menus. There was a good selection of food options available. I chose the chicken red curry and my wife had a rump steak. the food took about 20-25 minutes to arrive which was ok because they were busy on a Saturday night. The food was nice although my wife's steak had fat running through one side of it. when we finished the waiter asked if our food was ok, We mentioned the steak and got a free half a bottle of wine as a sorry which was unexpected. The staff were great and we left happy.

Arrived on a sunday dinner time expecting to be very busy. Only a 15 min wait, which turned out to he only 10 min as they had cleared a table for us quickly.Amazing friendly service. Had volouring paper and crayons for the little ones to amuse themselves. Food came pretty quick no waiting at all. Very nice mixed grill and the kids meals where massive more like adult meals. Reasonably priced mixed grill £15. Meal deals through the week. Also have a tasty card so the more you go the more freebies you get.The only downside was no ribs which i would have preffered to the mix grill, but we did get there about 2.30 on a weekend so to be expected i suppose.Will visit again soon.

Had to provide a quick review. The staff were great and in particular Kayla. Our friends were delayed and Kayla in particular didn't hurry us at all. The sharing platter was excellent. Our friends finally arrived and we all enjoyed our meals.Well done to Kayla and all the staff.

Didn't fancy paying £5.50 for fruit,cereal, cold breakfast at our budget hotel so paid a visit to this place. Waitress (Lisa?) was friendly and helpful, lots of breakfast options but I opted for the vegetarian extravaganza which for £5.95 provided 2 hash browns, 2 veggie sausages, tomato, mushrooms, beans, eggs (fried, scrambled or poached) and 2 slices of toast. My friend opted for the meat equivalent. Great value, great service and great food.

my daughter and her friend(both 18) visited this restaurant yesterday after a girls xmas shopping day at meadowhall. they were looking to celebrate xmas early have a meal before returning home from uni for Xmas. the girls thought they'd treat themselves to a festive cocktail too. the waitress asked for I'd then disappeared for a considerable time returning to advise the girls she wouldn't be able to serve them alcohol........because on one of their photos ids (a provisional driving license) her ear was not visible on the photo!!!! how ridiculous. anyway despite this the girls ordered their meal which they enjoyed however their xmas celebrations weren't as merry as they could have been.!!!! whilst appreciating that they are within their right....come on....is a provisional licence not a proper document that also has your dob on it!!!

The staff here were really helpful , polite, friendly and bent over backwards to accommodate, the food was very nice and of a high standard. Venue was clean and tidy and if I am ever in the Sheffield area again, I will not hesitate about dining here again. Keep up the high standards you should be proud!

This is a nice comfortable restaurant which is part of the TableTable brand and we regularly visit for lunch with our friends.We have been dining here for many years and have celebrated many special occasions with them.The service offered by the friendly staff is lovely and welcoming.The food menu is varied with plenty to choose from.Prices are good value and food is good quality. The offer a cheaper "Lunch Club" menu. It is also a nice place to visit for a drink with friends in the bar

Went for breakfast here after attending the arena the night before and must say was disappointed in the food . Most of the food was cold, butter was rock hard so couldn't spread on toast . Pub was nice and clean .

I meet up with friends here regularly and we've always enjoyed it. Food is good, waiting time is good, food is reasonably priced and the staff are always really friendly. Would recommend.

Firstly the staff were fantastic.The cost though, wasn't.£6.99 for a burger and chips, £2.15 for a Pepsi and my wife had mushrooms for starters, Gammon and a diet Pepsi and it came to just under £20.The drinks weren't even refillable, which would have made it slightly better value of it was. The last time we went they were.We'll definitely NOT be going back there again.

Stopping in hotel opposite, and attending a concert at arena directly opposite, good atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, good menu choices and food was excellent quality with good size portions.Retuned to the bar later in the evening for drinks, again, good service and ambience

We've been coming here for years on and off, and since acquiring 2 kids (4yr and 7yr) we've been trying new places that are kid friendly. But we keep coming back here.The food is good , although maybe some of the portion sizes have got a little smaller recently. Having worked in catering I know profit margins are getting squeezed more at the moment.We've also made use of the 20% off and kids meal a few times. Quality usually wins over size in table table and it's not as cheap as McDonald's over the road. The atmosphere is always calm in the restaurant area even when it's busy. The staff in general are very helpful, but particular praise goes to Lisa who has served us several times and gone above and beyond to make us welcome.Kids activity packs were offered before we even sat down and she really understood the issues of taking 2 young children to a large family restaurant. Seriously, this lady is an asset to your business, I just hope the management is aware of this. I've sent a copy of this review to head office.Thanks guys !

We had dinner before seeing a movie here, and it was great. Service was very fast and Lisa was lovely and very friendly. Food was good - nothing fancy, but good basic pub food that fills you up, and great value for the price. Good wine:). The atmosphere was nice, and we enjoyed our calm evening meal there.

Having never been here before, we were puzzled about how to approach the car park and ended up parking on a side street next to "The Wentworth" public house, "The Arena Square" is a big sprawling pub and when we went there for lunch we found that a big section had been temporarily partitioned off. The main menu seemed a bit pricey but we went for the lunchtime specials.I ordered beef lasagne with a side salad. The lasagne cost £5.99 and the side salad £1.99. I also had a pint of orange cordial and soda which cost £1.07. We were served by a very pleasant and efficient waitress called Becky.I enjoyed my meal - it was just the job. The lasagne came with two slices of garlic bread. It would have been nicer if the top of this pasta dish had been baked a brown, crispy colour but even so I was more than happy to eat it.My wife enjoyed her carrot and coriander soup with two slices of brown bread. Cost £2.99.

Great looking place,but service at the bar was very slow, and when we did get served,she shouted down the bar to us,and we had to move down to her as she said this was her service station, where has common sense gone ?????

Good food at a very reasonable price (2 courses for £10.99). Nice secluded area of the restaurant gave privacy for the family. Really nice touch in that staff presented our son with his birthday cake (we provided it) and put fruit/marshmallow skewers and hot choc sauce with it - was enjoyed by all! Been here a few times before and always had really friendly service, even when busy.

Looking for nice relaxing time. Nice pub, nice main meal on a main & pudding special. Meal ok. Then waited for pudding, approximately 50 mins!! Had to go to bar twice to ask about pudding. Very poor waiting service. It wasn't busy. Staff need to retrain in customer service. You have more than one eating area!! Very poor attitude. Just an apology for poor service would surfice. Won't be visiting again. Heaven help them if it gets busy! Table Table head office want to get a area manager down there and kick some backsides. Improve training of staff. Could be a great place with the right attitude and management!!!!

I have been coming here for a few years now. And I've always had such amazing experience with all the staff and never had any cause of complaint. The first time I called I spoke to Jessica and expressed that I have social anxiety but really wanted to come in for Sunday lunch. So she went out of her way to ensure that when ever I wanted to visit I would always have a table away from other customers so I wouldn't get anxious. In all my experiences here I've never been made to feel like a customer. But a part of the family. The food is delicious to top it off. A big thank you though to every single member of staff that has ever severed me or made my food. Thanks for the way you have showed me support and understanding with my anxietys. Especially Jessica for going above and beyond from the very first day to ensure I'd feel welcome but not anxious. Though I do apologise for my terrible jokes you guys have to put up with.

Called in for Sunday lunch as it was near to the Retail Park typical pub menu I had steak and my partner had the lamb rump I am picky re the cooking of steak and mine was cooked to my precise request and was enjoyable my partner was equally pleased with his dish We succumbed to pudding and shared the chocolate tart with salted caramel ice cream it was delicious Our drinks cider and Sauvignon Blanc were also good The Sunday Roasts seemed to be popular with other diners and appeared to be generous portions and well presented. The pub was clean and comfortable and the facilities were modern and clean .Our waitress ( Rochelle ? )attending table 39 was helpful ,efficient and very personable.

Like the previous reviewer, Anita C S, we live quite close by and have been coming here quite regularly for several years now. Our last visit being five weeks ago. The food is always of a good quality, good value and the staff are always friendly. In addition, the overall atmosphere is very pleasant. Arena Square is, as its name suggests very close to the Sheffield Motorpoint Arena and so can be very busy when there is an event on. Also there are other several other venues close by which attract people to the restaurant. Generally though, because the restaurant area is quite large, there is usually plenty of room and most of the time parking is adequate. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Been here a few times as we only live 10 mins away. The place has a nice atmosphere staff are always friendly and helpful and the menu has a good range to pick from. My husband and I have always enjoyed the food and never had a bad meal at the minute there's a couple of good offers on and some new additions to the menu , look forward to our next visit

We ate here three days running whilst attending a tournament at icesheffield, once in the bar area and twice in the restaurant. It's the same price and the same menu. On each occasion the service has been great - the waitresses were very friendly and efficient, and we didn't have to wait long for our food on each occasion. All three meals I ate (a Red Thai curry and an Indian curry on the other two occasions) were almost as good as you would get in a Thai/Indian restaurant, although the rice is microwaved. The food is tasty and the portion size is decent so this represented good value in my opinion, with mains ranging from £8 to £15. It is primarily a restaurant so the beer choice is the usual fizzy keg beer. They did have a couple of hand pulled ales on (Black Sheep and another 'novelty' ale) but these were not great shakes if I'm being honest. Improve the beer (decent, well kept real ale) and this would be a fantastic place to eat and drink before attending an event at the Arena etc.

Was in Sheffield for a family party and was staying at a hotel across the road. 7 of us came here for our evening meal before the party. The welcome we got was fantastic, really nice cheerful pleasant staff. I mean all of them. Food was really good, nice and tasty, we all had burgers and there were no complaints. Good prices of drink and food. Returned the following morning for breakfast. Again all the staff were fantastic, not only did they just serve us, they actually took the time to have a conversation with us about our visit to Sheffield. This is really nice, I know that people are busy and always running around serving, but does not take minutes to make be feel welcome. Breakfast was really really good and great value for money. All tasty and for &5. Well done to you all, keep making people happy, you do a hard and demanding job. Also thanks Chefs, good hot food presented well. Will return when next in Sheffield.

Went here before a concert this week at the arena toSee Lionel Richie ! Seriously did you not think you wouldBe busy???? You must know concert dates? We arrived at six ish the place was rammed six deep at the bar all along the bar and how many staff did you have serving????? 3 yes three they were young and totally overwhelmed especially as the managers seemed to be hiding in the restaurant !! Waited 20 mins to be served and gave up!! Went outside and found the wentworth hotel 50 yards away still rammed but the bar staff were brilliant serving 2 at a time great work , arena management send your bar staff here for training!!!!!!

Called in for a meal prior to concert at nearby Arena, obviously it was very busy and we had to wait 30 minutes for a table, but the experience could have been better, they have a large menu with lots of choice, but the food was a little disappointing, being so busy we expected to wait a while from point of order, but when it arrived it wasn't hot and the meat pie was pretty chewy and lacked flavour and the veg was also lukewarm. I couldn't get my head around queuing at the bar almost out the door when the bar is long enough to accommodate the customers, this felt like being back at school, wouldn't rush back.

Came here 4 my partners birthday it was a fantastic time the food was cooked perfect as always there was a group of 6 of us 5 adults and 1 child the witness was fantastic helped us with my son by asking the chef if they could make his meal a bit bigger all the staff are fantastic nothing is ever a problem this is about the 4th time we have been now and we will definitely keep going back

All the staff are very happy, friendly and provide excellent service nothing was too much bother.Excellent FREE WiFi.We had Breakfast here, as we were staying in the Ibis Budget Hotel opposite the Arena Square Table Table.We have a Cooked Breakfast which consisted of Egg, Bacon, Pork Sausage, Hash Brown, Grilled Tomato and Mushrooms with a pot of Tea all for £4.75. They even swapped the grilled tomato for another hash brown - result!Their Evening menu looks great too, can't go wrong with 2 meals for £10.99.Certainly be visiting them again if up Sheffield way in the future. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.They even have a Reward Scheme wish is free to join, you even get a free meal on your birthday amongst other offers with the points you collect

Not been here for a while and was a little disappointed with the food. Had a garlic mushroom starter which had no garnish whatsoever. Literally just a bowl of crumbed mushrooms on a plate. The main course of beef pie & mash was just that, there were no additional vegetables and the dish just looked inadequate and boring.The highlight was our waitress who was excellent, she brightened up what would otherwise been a very drab culinary experience.

A nice and easy place to have a drink or have a bite to eat, but nothing that would blows the fish out the water with the meals being average. Also quick note drinks are a little bit priced but there is unlimited refills on soft drinks but trying to find waiter isn't that easy to find.

We have been here a few times over the years and it's always been lovely, we come back for our anniversary and it it's all gone a bit wrong, the food was not as nice as we ordered medium steaks and they came well done and taste of liver and the staff was rude, I asked where the Oreo cheese cake had disappeared to and the girl just bit my head off saying we've never had that here I said I think u will find that u have to which she replied well our head office are to blame then! Used to be lovely now abit more shabby not to return

Can be a busy place. I went here as a group for a carvery (Sunday roast dinner) it was all u can eat, pick and choose what u want, there was a wide variety of meat and vegetables. The staff were busy topping things up but gave excellent service. Would highly recommend. There's a children's part aswell giving them room to play & you can sit and wait for ur dinner to settle before each serving. Ur not feeling rushed to eat. Then of course there's the pop and ice cream where u pay once and it's unlimited. Great for families

After many previous visits we were becoming disappointed with this restaurant. However there appears to have been a big improvement. We were shown to a table, after requesting somewhere warm and away from children, the table we were shown to by Lisa, was in a warm quite alcove. The tables were clean, as was the cutlery, not sticky and covered in drying marks. We hope these improvements are maintained. As this is a great stopping off spot either before or after shopping at Meadowhall.Oh and Lisa was a great ambassador for this restaurant.

Excellent service and food we really love coming 2 this place always make 2 feel welcome its good quality food and the prices a r good the only thing I have 2 say is that the kids menu is abit confusing with sayin that junior meals on the back then it's got mini meals that is the only thing can't wait 2 go back again

This hss been 'our local' for many years as we like the layout into separate dining areas and the staff are always courteous and serve with a smile. However recently we have started going for breakfast at the weekend, but have noticed that even though they aren't busy as it is not apparent that they are open until you get to the door and the breakfast freshly cooked that the food is very hit and miss.On our last visit the restaurant was completely empty but we were not allowed to sit in comfy seating in our usual area as they had it cordoned off for the full day because of a boxing match at the Arena that night. What really annoyed us was as I said no-one else was in but a group of 6 twenty something men were shown to the very next table to us, They had stayed over the night before and were visiting for the boxing. we heard of all their drunken antics of the previous night as they were very excited (don't think they get out much). Chatted the waitress up trying to get her to serve beer before the bar opened.This was all very loud so much so hubby and I couldn't talk over them.Then when the food came, it was horrible.When leaving after eating the edible bits we complained. However the complaint was dismissed by the waitress.Later I emailed my complaint. After a week I received a response thanking me for giving feedback and saying they would pass the feedback through to the manager.I felt that none of my issues had been addressed, I honestly think that because they are a big national company customer complaints aren't taken seriously.We will not be going back and I have thrown my loyalty card away.

I often visit this restaurant with family or just for drinks with friends and have never been let down. The staff are always helpful and attentive! The food is good quality and good value for money.

I wouldn't consider this place for after show drinks, we were pretty much kicked out and told to drink up around 10:45. There were quite a few there so they could have made loads more sales. The staff were very insistent that we left!! Put it that way!

I went to this pub restaurant on my own. I was immediately shown to a good table in a busy room. The staff were attentive and made suggestions without being over bearing. The food was as described, hot and tasty. Customer service was excellent.

Great place for a nice meal, but I would avoid going when there is a big event on at the Sheffield Arena, just across the road (unless of course you are attending the Sheffield Arena!). Staff and food usually great.

we had a lovely meal it was really quiet as a concert wasn't on so there was plenty of space to sit in comfort. The meal - fish and chip was delicious and the wine was really nice too. friendly service and a reasonable price. We walked from the hotel but there was plenty of parking if needed. would recommend it and will go again next time im in Sheffield.

I had an offer of a free meal for my birthday and my wife had a £5 discount so they allowed us to use both.I had a steak dinner and my wife had the set menu meal. We both had refillable drinks and it didn't total £9!We use this place regularly as the food is always good and the staff are always friendly and helpful.Highly recommended

Free wifi with average speed. Big coffee.Ok food (v small portions) when compared to most pubs. Cosy seating areas and open fire. Definitely return for more quick lunches/ meetings.

We visited the restaurant on Thursday 11 Feb and whilst it was quite busy we were seated immediately and had chance to have a look at the menu. We only had about an hour but this was ample time as the food and drinks were both served promptly. We all enjoyed the food on offer and would recommend anyone to visit if in the area.

We took the grandchildren here because I heard there was a horrid history themed menu for half term. The service was first class and the waitress exceptionally nice and patient with the kids. The choice was good with pictures of the food so the kids could easily recognise what was on offer and were able to choose their own combinations and not restricted to what adults think goes together. For example our granddaughter combined beans, rice and a burger! Puddings were extremely fun for the kids and included a coffin shaped one! Adult food was tasty too and portions were amazing. There was also a horrid history activity sheet with stickers to occupy the young ones whilst they waited for their meal. I can't think of any negatives - apart from Table Table could have done with a board outside advertising the Horrid History theme as it was very quiet ... I'm sure families would stream in!

Visited this restaurant when visiting sheffield arena and thought it was a lovely little restaurant. Lovely food, especially the lasagne. Not microwave rubbish, it was home made and excellent quality.Also, the puddings were exceptional. Look very 'posh' for the price.Amazing service from a lady called lisa. Went the extra mile, very polite and always had a smile on her face. Would go back next time I visit sheffield arena!

Its just a great place to drop in and have a bit. There is a varied, wholesome menu. As a vegetarian there is plenty on offer and I have to say each time I have been its been so tasty. Its a welcoming atmosphere and the staff are lovely. Service is top notch, friendly and really helpful. There are often vouchers around for discounts. Its family friendly too. Just a lovely little spot to eat.

We visited Arena square for a second time following a disappointing Birthday celebration, we had been offered a discount on this meal so we decided to give it another try. I am glad we did, we had a lovely meal with fantastic service and this has fully restored my faith in this restaurant. Well done Arena square..
