A tiny cafe with a stunning view of the bay. It makes the best ever yarg cheese (cornish cheese) toasties. The ladies working there are super friendly and offer adults and kids menu for granola with Yogurt, toasties, bagels, ice cream, Pastries. Inside the venue is small, only 2 tables but perfect for family or couples. More seating outside and coffee is good. Nice coffee cups to drink from. Please note it does get very busy arround lunch time! I have gone back several times as it is just a golden nugget in the town! Thank you for the amazing welcome and food!

I always go here when I'm in Coverack. The coffee is delicious, very professionally made and the cakes are made by a local small business. We love this place, Coverack that is, there is a gentle pace yet always something to see .Near the harbour, indeed overlooking it is Archies Loft. It has mainly utside seats in a wondeful elevated position, ideal to accompany a hot drink. Our first experience was a delicious hot chocolate served by a delightful Canadian lady who did a very sincere job and made a good drink, whilst keeping is entertained with chat. Thus impressed , we thought to return and enjoy the fish chowder. Big mistake.A different person took a jug from the fridge and made a comment which suggested she lack much of it. So, we waited outside enjoying the view and along came our soup. Now, i am not a chowder expert but, I am fairly sure it should be creamy with lots of fish. But it was quite clear, allowing a view suggesting not much fish was there. The advertised chunky bread did not appear and we made do with focaccia which was dry and brittle.Food, some is better than none , especially when you need to eat( me, medical reasons) But this was fairly atrocious.Like i suggest in the title, variable.

We stayed in a holiday rental virtually opposite the loft, which made ice cream very accessible indeed! We had an ice cream every day of our two week holiday! My son is allergic to dairy and so we were delighted to find that they offer at least two dairy free options each day. They also have plant-based milk alternatives, which were very appreciated. We had pizzas on two evenings, which were delicious and generously topped. We also sampled different cakes and scones over the fortnight. Stopped here en route to a holiday home. Had a coffee and a toasted flatbread sandwich. There were so many lovely things on offer. Sandwiches, soup, pastries, ice cream... the flatbread filled with salami, cheese, roasted veg, tomatoes, onions and sauce seemed too good to pass up - and then it was heated to melt the cheese Definitely passing back that way even though it is a huge detour - so many places miss the mark, but this tiny friendly place was perfect. With the radio on we also heard the Archers! Seriously though, plan for take away as there is not much space, and hope that one of the two small indoor tables might just be free for you, or the sun shining enough to sit overlooking the bay.

Lovely location and great service but the food was a little on the average side. This year’s theme was pizza and Greek. I opted for the chicken and the lamb and beef souvlaki. Both were tasted but came drenched in a Greek dressing, which was cold and made the souvlaki cold. The tzatziki was tasty and salad fresh. My husband’s pizza was good but not spectacular. We were there on one of their last days of service, but everyone was still as attentive as ever. Wish them well for next year.

It was our last dinner in Cornwall after a week trip around the area and it couldn’t be better than it was! The blue hair waitress is really nice and extremely kind. The pizzas were perfect!

We decided to have fishy Friday...Haddock in gluten free batter, chips ,mushy peas, home made tartare sauce😋 all for £8.50 with either tea or coffee.... Didn't disappoint...lovely size portion, batter was thin and crispy (neither of us are gluten free) Well worth the money..... Then a lovely walk on the downs... definitely be back again for fishy Friday
