We made a reservation and asked for a table outside. They told us to seat inside and wait 10 minutes. We said we would wait to seat outside. We were then waiting for 30 minutes and when we asked it we would soon seat,the managwr replied very rudely, “how many times will you ask”. We then asked for extra 3 eggs with our avocado toast and were brought side very scrambled egg and had to pay 9 for each , as we were told 3 eggs were used for each. Manager also kept giving us the worst attitude ever when we were nothing but polite. Horrible experience would not recon entirely to anyone.

The pancakes are delicious and were served hot, but the overall experience was spoiled because the waiter and maître d asked us from our table back promptly after 2 hours in a manner that we felt was distasteful. We get it. You need the table back for other bookings as it’s a small venue. But they should consider mentioning it when customers arrive so people remember, otherwise it’s easy to forget and it’s off putting to suddenly be told when you don’t feel ready to leave or maybe you wanted fo order something else.

Had tiger prawns as my main waiter asked how they was I said not to good as they were dry and rubbery he answered me with or well better luck next time why ask if he didn't want the truth absolutely shocking will never return

Very good and high quality food and the restaurant is nicely designed. There are also outdoor tables which are lovely. Disappointing that when I asked for specials the waiter said they didn’t have any when on the website, it stated there would be specials. I asked for a Coke Zero they said they don’t have any. I asked for a coke they said they don’t have any. They only had Diet Coke which I hate. I asked for non alcoholic beer, they said they ran out. So three things I asked for which I expected them to have, they didn’t. So, apart from not having three things advertised, it was great!

I don’t usually write reviews, but felt it necessary for one of my favourite restaurants in London (as much as I love to gatekeep). It is such a wonderful and reliable experience every time we dine at AOK. Huge compliments to the chef and the exciting menu - each dish is always delivered to the same high standard. We recommend the pumpkin soup, grilled prawns, grilled cauliflower, and baby chicken! Special mention to our friendly waiter, Karim, who is extremely polite and helpful, making everything very streamline and easygoing (exactly how you want to be dining).

I have been going to AOK Kitchen for two years, ignore the recent reviews, as a local who loves this restaurant I can assure you the staff are a delight (ask for Karim the maitre’ D who will look after you with great attention). The decor and casual yet understated elegance are great, perched on a lovely Marelybone corner street. The food is excellent and the menu has some reliable favourites like pumpkin soup, grilled cauliflower, baby chicken. The sides are also delicious and perfectly seasoned. Overall I would highly recommend people discover this hidden gem of Marylebone.

Disrespectful staff and bad service, we were a group of Arabs and were treated badly the whole time for no reason. I wouldn’t go back, and I don’t recommend.

We went to A.O.K. Kitchen in London, we were a group of 6, mostly hijabi women. In short, the manager, Elisa, treated us in an extremely disrespectful and racist way. This attitude encompassed the way she talked to us and the way she treated us. We had placed our order and our coffee arrived. She came to us yelling over something that the waiter had done. We told Elisa that because of her behavior, she and the restaurant will be given a negative review. Just a negative review is honestly very generous considering Elisa’s behavior. After that, Elisa started pulling our coffee drinks away from us and kicked us out of the restaurant in an aggressive manner, told us that we are not welcome here, and told us she canceled our order. The way she kicked is out was so bizarre that even the table next to us started wondering what was going on, why the staff was treating us this way. There was no reason or justification for us to be treated this way in the restaurant. The experience was racist. From the moment we came, they acted like they didn’t want us to be there.

Attention is in the detail and they sure do get it right here. Pretty decor nice ambience and very clever and wide ranging menu with some ingredients showing off top notch provenance ( such as the to die for olives and salads) - proof is in the pudding as they say! I miss more down to earth cooking in London - who knows could be the beginning of the end of the foams and mousses, smoke and mirrors era thank goodness 😃
