Antepli Exclusive Ringwood in New Forest

Very disappointing after visiting the charminster restaurant we thought we’d visit the exclusive in Ringwood. Nothing exclusive about this eatery, being shown to our table we realised he’d sat us next to what I think was the owners wife and 3 children and an another women. Nothing wrong with that apart from they wasn’t eating and seemed to be eating sweets which then went all over the floor!! At this point the women was shouting at the child.. very noisy to say the least. As for the food we ordered two platters to come out as main, the meze platter came out first followed by the meat platter 7 minutes after. So we couldn’t eat together, lamb was tough and ribs didn’t have much meat on them. Positive the chicken was very tasty. Had one drink waiter never asked us again. I’d say this is more of a glorified Cafe than a restaurant. Sorry will not be coming back.

Such a lovely spot with the most wonderful owner and staff, they really know how to host and create a welcoming experience. The food is delicious, hearty and made with love! They also have lovely background music very much recommend

Nice enough food but the lamb was overcooked and tough and I mean tough. I was never asked if I enjoyed my food so I did not complain but we all thought the same. Shame really because if they cant get the lamb right then not much point visiting again.

Went to the Antepli in Ringwood for a romantic meal with my husband. My family recommended it and it didn't disappoint. Amazing service as soon as we walked in The decor was lovely and the staff were really friendly. You could smell the food as soon as you walked in. We ordered the meze platter for starters. This was amazing. Turkish bread, delicious salad dressed in a vinaigrette, 8 different dipping sauces with a selection of cold bite size bits like falefel, halloumi, spring rolls. Then we had the mixed meat platter for 2 for dinner. It was chicken and lamb mostly. The chicken was really tasty, nice marinade. The lamb kebab was nice but the lamb pieces were a bit tough. Definitely come back as i really enjoyed it. The starter was my favourite part. I really liked the Turkish bread as well. I would have individual meals next time. Walking distance from the car park and town shops.

We visited the Antepli to celebrate our anniversary after a recommendation from a family member. The staff were great from the moment we arrived, they were attentive and quick to respond to any requests. We had the mixed Meze platter, we thoroughly enjoyed the collection of dips especially the red cabbage coleslaw along with the fresh bread. The collection of falafel, Spring rolls and Halloumi was so moorish. We enjoyed the chicken part of the Special mix platter but found the lamb was a touch over cooked, leaving it a bit chewy. I enjoyed the Turkish red wine that I had alongside the meals, a nice treat.

Completely lacking in ambience. Like they emptied out the old surplus stores and put a few tables in. Appalling lighting , just a few high level ceiling roses and none in the area we sat. Food was ok, there are better Turkish restaurants around . I have eaten Iskendar in many, including in Turkey and never had it without a rich thick tomato sauce before. After finishing our main courses our table was not cleared nor desert offered so after 30 mins we asked for the bill . It was presented onto the uncleared table and the server then returned with the card machine and we left with the table still uncleared . Several other tables around us experienced the same . Will stick to our favourite Turkish restaurant in Christchurch in future

Starter great, main average, desert excellent. What was poor was the cost of a pint of shandy at £7 (when the beer was £6) and the waitress asking us to pay cash for the tip because if it went on the credit card, she had to wait a month for it and it got shared out amongst everyone . What a cheek and I bet her colleagues would not be impressed!

Very attentive service from friendly staff. Mix Meze for 2 and one Mixed Grill main (shared by two) provide plenty of tasty food. Everything was lovely. Chips portion with the mixed grill was unnecessarily small… that would be the only constructive feedback. Very pleasant meal and a change from the usual choices. Will come back soon 😊

Great food with superb flavours, very friendly staff with good service, try the sharing meals, would highly recommend.

Lovely food, ours was very nicely cooked. We visited with friends so there was four of us. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal . Our friends have been before and this was their second visit. Nice to have something a little different in Ringwood. It was very busy which is usually a good sign. We booked which is a must, we will definitely be trying this restaurant again.

We went to antepli on Saturday, we were so looking forward to this but it was a nightmare from booking to finish.we arrived on time to be told restaurant was fully booked, not impressed. We were rushed on our order and wasn't impressed with the lamb ribs very small and my combo was a bit tough .I think its too manic and lots of people and not enough chefs to cope with demand .Some of the dishes are very small and dry .would I go back , not sure on that one.

Booked a table and arrived on time to be told that our table was no longer available. And she smiled while she told us. Unbelievable

We came in and from start to finish we felt very very rushed. Plate Were cleared before we had finished the course, staff hovered constantly, they tried to take glasses and plates away with food and drinks in them as people were still eating and drinking, they were asked to leave them and 2min later they tried again it was not a pleasant experience.

We loved it. It was really busy - great atmosphere. Service was really good. The complimentary starter - dips, bread and salad were lovely - very tasty. We all had chose the 2 skewers and between us had the kofte, chicken and lamb shish which were all good and well cooked. Go hungry - the food is plentiful! Great place, will definitely go again.

We had booked a table and on arrival were seated downstairs. After waiting 10 minutes my son and daughter in law hadn't arrived I messaged them. It turned out that had arrived a little before us and been seated upstairs although they had quoted my name on arriving. Bizarre I have never encountered a party booked in the same name being seated separately before. My son and daughter in law had already ordered drinks at their table and this threw the staff into confusion when they moved to our table. They did not come to take a drinks order from us for some time. They then tried to take the menus away until I said we haven't ordered yet. Another wait until they actually took our order. There was a long wait for food and we had to ask for the bread and dips to be brought. As others have said the restaurant is very busy and I don't think the staff can cope at busy times. The food was adequate but nothing special compared to other Turkish restaurants in the area. I don't think any of us would go again.

First time visit and it was absolutely delicious. Warm & friendly. Lovely place to dine. I highly recommend eating here. Can’t wait to come back

We went there on Saturday evening at 7.15. Restaurant was packed. We sat down and ordered food and drinks straight away. A couple next to us arrived and ordered approx 10 mins after us. Our drinks arrived promptly but 45 mins later we had nothing else. Meanwhile people next to us had their starter and the complimentary meze platter.. We asked if our food was coming soon and were told it was on its way. Then to our dismay next table main arrived and we still had nothing (not even the meze). We asked again and were told they were going to check. Then another 5 mins later nothing.. after asking again they eventually arrived with the meze. It then became apparent they had given our food to the table next to us.. I think the issue is the restaurant was bursting and they clearly were overwhelmed. I don’t think they manage people arrivals so it felt very chaotic. They did apologise but didn’t even offer a complimentary drink or any other small gesture. Then we got the bill and notice a large glass or house white is charged £12!! It’s such a shame as the food was good. But it really spoiled it for us. I hope these are all teething issues and they will learn not to have too many people at the same time.. but I also hope they will charge more realistic prices on the wine.

Had a New Year’s Eve meal before going to the pub. Service was prompt and polite. Food arrived fairly quickly. We were initially served 4 “dips” - including hummus and cream cheese. It came with a Turkish salad and bread. I had the kebab combo - the chicken was lovely but the lamb was a bit chewy. My wife had falafel which was a little overcooked. The chips could have been hotter. A welcome addition to Ringwood but they need to make sure the food is top notch and probably need to enhance the ambience of the main dining area which is rather bland and a bit cold.

Really enjoyed our evening here. Great selection of both sharing and individual dishes. We found everything to be delicious and good in side too.

Just opened. Lovely friendly staff and atmosphere. Food was well presented and delicious. We had a lamb shish and chicken shish. Beautifully cooked.
