We had a beautiful family Sunday meal here, bringing the whole family together over the weekend to enjoy lovely food and hospitality. The service was a bit slow, which we didn't mind as it gave us more time to relax and speak with loved ones without feeling rushed to eat and leave. Thank you for hosting and giving us a beautiful, family-created moment. The food was most tasteful, and the staff here all work really hard to ensure everyone is happy. The portion sizes were good , not one bad dish and all dishes were well served and presented. We look forward to returning again.

I visited with family at the weekend having dined here before and holding an Anoki gold card . Travelling from leicester in the past the food has been truly excellent and worthy of the trip here . Unfortunately on this occasion pretty much everything was terrible - 3 vegetarian set meals and 1 meat one . The veggie food was so poor that we barely ate the meal . The meat offering was acceptable. When asked for feedback I clearly stated my disappointment. We were given complementary dessert - gulab jamun with Kilgore which was fine and the one round of non alcoholic drinks taken off the menu. However at £143.75 after hold card discount this was still terrible . We didn’t make a scene but the restaurant must take this feedback seriously . Putting out terrible food with as I suspect not the usual chef was a bad choice from the owners. The food was really that terrible that I won’t be returning . Service wasn’t attentive and that topped off a waste of time trip . If you see my previous reviews of anoki generally these have been good . Taking out a good card is a reflection of a customer wanting to return. Unfortunately this won’t happen again .

Went to the @anokirestaurant on the A38 last night for a friends birthday. The food as always is absolutely sensational. The service is just the best ever and when it’s a birthday they go above and beyond with birthday plaques and this time we got a complimentary firework candle and 4 mini ice creams. This is by far my favourite Indian restaurant as a coeliac, everything from the popadoms right through to the naan bread is gluten free, I don’t have to sit there picking through what I can and can’t have it’s all so accessible and the best Indian food out there. The whole experience of going to this restaurant from start to finish is just incredible. I would highly recommend as a coeliac, or if your looking for somewhere that has expectational good food and service, plus it’s as always amazing for special occasions. Thankyou tor @anokirestaurant for giving us such a great evening and making it a care free evening for myself with how well you cater for allergies etc. #glutenfree #anokirestaurant #coeliac #vegetarian #pannermakhani #pilaurice #glutenfreenaanbread #popudoms #pickles #birthdaytreats

The service here was atrocious and when it was raised with the staff they responded with 'the food is worth waiting for'. Well, the customer will be the judge of that. We were seated at 7pm and others who arrived after us were served well before we were even approached. It took an hour for the starter to arrive, another hour for the main course, and the (unrequested) ice cream dessert - which we assumed was provided by way of apology - was a pathetic attempt to mollify us. Previously we were regular visitors to this establishment but it is clearly in decline. Aside from the poor service, the food quality isn't what it was, either - especially given the premium prices. Thee are plenty of better places to dine. My advice is to find one.

Lovely food but prices are unbelievable and very limited menu for an Indian restaurant. £27 for a balti without rice which was £5. 3 of us no starters, three soft drinks, three curry’s, three rice and two nan bread, £137 and service charge already added on. Very tasty food so a pity

We originally booked a table for 2 at Anoki in Derby. This was a special occasion as it was our first wedding anniversary. We specifically picked this restaurant as we had our first date here in 2019. However, when we got there it was closed. My hubby rang the branch in Burton and was told the Derby restaurant is closed today and they'd tried ringing everyone. Well they clearly didn't try very hard as we had no phone calls at all. They also had our email address from the booking, but obviously couldn't be bothered and decided to just let us turn up and find out for ourselves. I was not happy. This is terrible customer service. People book a table for a reason. The restaurant doesn't know what the occasion is, how important that meal was or how far we travelled to get there and for some reason they decided it wasn't worth the 2 mins to make a phone call or send an email. They offered us a table at the Burton branch with free drinks. I don't drink, so this didn't soften the blow too much. Hubby is more forgiving than I am and, as we had got ready, we headed over there. I was already writing this review in my head, ready to vent! The location is next to the A38, well signposted and lit up. There is a large car park. We were shown to a table. The staff didn't seem too bothered that our original table was booked at Derby and just said the Derby restaurant is closed on Mondays and this restaurant is "better". I've been back on the website and the only day showing as closed is Sunday. The booking system is also still taking bookings for Monday's, so beware! Also on the website, the menus are old and the prices have since increased, so that also needs updating. As a few others have mentioned, it is very expensive, but we did enjoy the food. I don't like the fact they add a 10% service charge to the bill and I asked for this to be taken off. As soon as you sit down poppadoms and pickles are brought to the table and charged at £2 per person whether you want them or not. It is £30.95 for one course with rice and naan. There's a good choice of mains, including some veggie options, and they are happy to make other dishes that aren't on the menu. I would have liked some sort of spice level next to each dish as I don't like really spicy food. I had the malai tikka as a main and my hubby had mirch masala chicken. The pilau rice, naans and chicken were really good. After the mains we were served complimentary ice cream and mints and sweets, which was a nice touch to round off the meal. Still very unimpressed with the customer service, but the food is good. Anoki is a nice place for special occasions, but expensive as a regular place to eat.

Ordered via the Deliveroo app at 6.15pm as it was indicating a 30 minute delivery window. Chased up at 7.40 pm to be told it would be 10 minutes. Chased again at 8pm to be told it was 5 minutes away. No apologies on either chaser. Food eventually turned up at 8.15 pm in a van ironically called Anoki Express. We were beyond eating at that stage so picked at the food which was ok but nothing sensational for our £43 for 2 mains, 1 rice, 1 naan and some grilled meat. I will be a long time before we try this restaurant again.

First of all, I'll be honest, the food here is lovely but..... I agree with lots of other people: very expensive curries (£26!), confusingly priced menu with so many different 'offers' you need a calculator to work out the best deal and you just feel like you're probably being ripped off. Compulsory poppadoms at £2 per head. Optional service charge but they add it to your bill so you have to ask to remove it. Minimum £20 spend per person. It all makes you feel undermined as a customer and we won't be returning.

Arrived 30 minutes early, spent 45 minutes longer than we needed to be. Food decent, most of serving staff do not understand basics about covering a section. Whole idea seems to be to get minimum of £50 spend per head and get people in, but once in, leave them hanging around. Menu confusing with lots of unclear charges. Lots of tables left uncleared. It’s a place you have to travel to but won’t be rushing back.

Really disappointed. I have ordered in the past and no issue. I ordered some food today via Uber eats the time of delivery had gone past so I phoned the restaurant asking on my food order the gentleman on the other end was so rude and said it will be another 30 minutes on top of the hour I have already waited, as I had no option I waited and when the food eventually arrived 1 hour 30 minutes from the original order it was stone cold., literally cold everything had to go in the microwave. The food was ok wish I never ordered and will not be ordering again.

Given popadoms on arrival without asking then charged after, food was pricey just for the curry and it was nice just didn't think it was worth almost £30, waited almost 15 minutes for the bill which was almost £90 which included £8-70 tip and when the server had the card machine that amount was already to go, bit naughty as they probably hope you won't challenge it...so food nice but I can get nice curry from my local takeaway for more than half the price

Been here a couple of times before and enjoyed it but this time was very different. Totally overpriced food for average quality, no better than my local takeaway. Poppadoms given without explanation of cost, then the 2 course meal which apparently had unlimited rice and naan came with the smallest bowl of rice for 2 people. Yes we could of asked for more but for the price this should have been offered. Never been anywhere where as soon as sat down with the menus we were given a leaflet about the loyalty scheme they offer and how good an offer this was, no thanks. Bill was asked for numerous times and never brought so we ended up walking to the bar. Bill was very confusing and rushed, service charge was automatically added without explanation. We were given no chance to check the bill, the waitress was more concerned about getting our payment before we could check the bill so beware. Overall this was a very poor experience. I don't review many places but felt the need here due to the poor experience. We won't be returning and if I had read all the reviews below which are very true we would have saved our money. I'd be surprised if place remained open for long due to all the consistent poor reviews.

Very very disappointing - looks bright and well lit from the road, but actually car park not well lit, very badly maintained and full of pot holes - and once inside it just got worse. Table booked for 8pm, but not ready and we have to seek assistance as no one meeting and greeting and queue out of the door; very slow, - half an hour to get table laid and a drinks order placed. Food when it came was poor quality - stale broken Poppadums, half per person but a set charge of £2 per head; Very overpriced for what was served; the so-called "eat as much as you want of pilau rice and nan breads" was interpreted as "you will have to ask for more, and it will come eventually". Even though minimal alcohol ordered (3 bottles of Cobra), - the rest had soft drinks - the bill came to nearly £400 for 4 people having a two course meal, and 5 people just having a single main course. Lack of staff, and clearly the business is focussing on the takeway and delivery aspects and anyone wanting a pleasant night out with high quality food, good friendly service and value for money has definitely come to the wrong place. As others have said, we won't be going back. We did not make the complaints we wanted to because one of the guests had particularly chosen the venue for a birthday meal, and by the time we finished (nearly 11 o'clock) we were not wanting to get into a long disagreement over the bill and the service, but definitely not to be recommended.

First visit and definitely last visit. Living locally to here this has always been a place we wanted to try. Why oh why did we not read the reviews on here beforehand!! On arrival we approached the entrance through extravagant archways with lots of brightly lit decorations. Don’t be fooled . When inside the size is enormous full of diners but the decor is Old and terribly tired also pretty cold . We were shown to our table and given menus. I double checked with the waiter regarding the menu as I wanted to be clear. £26.95 for 1 course or £34.95 for 2 courses. In small writing it also stated pilau rice, garlic nan , and plain nan is included with both courses and unlimited. Popadoms £2.00 each person. We opted for 1 course. I had Chicken jalfrezi pilau rice and nan bread. These both arrived in ceramic bowls . The food was Luke warm, both the rice and curry were saturated in far too much ghee, which really spoilt the flavours. The jalfrezi lacked spice and was the worst I’ve ever tasted. Believe me I’ve tasted many!! My Husband opted for a prawn dish . The prawns were plentiful but again very oily and Luke warm. When the bill arrived we were astounded. 1 bottle kingfisher, 1 small lime and soda, 2x curry, 2x pilau rice, 2 garlic Nan, 2 popadoms . £92.15 😮 £8.30 service charge included. Luckily for me, I always like to be on the ball and realised they had charged us extra for 2xpilau rice and 2x garlic Nan. I pointed this out at the desk . I was then told ; sorry! We hadn’t been informed you had the 1 course?? Puzzling considering there were only 2 choices and both had the rice and nan included. I wonder how many other people they have done this to?? With that I asked them to remove the service charge too, which then brought the bill down to £69.35 , which in my opinion is still pretty steep for the quality of the food !! AVOID for sure unless you don’t mind being ripped off .

Absolute shocking customer service. Ordered a takeaway and collected it personally. Live 15 minutes away and when I got home our meal was cold. Phoned the restaurant and received the most shocking customer service I have ever experienced. Firstly no apology was made, then I was offered 20% off my next order. I explained it is 8.30pm on a Saturday evening and my food is poor. I got put through to the manager who was even worse than the lady I originally spoke too. His words "due to you living over 15mins away, we would expect you to warm your meal up when you get home". Wow, I have never had a takeaway where you are expected to warm it up when you get home. Then he tried to blame the cold weather which was laughable. Its not like I jogged home with it, I was in car!. He proceeded to try and justify a none existing argument and made me feel like I was in the wrong. Refused my refund and refused to collect my order. Disgusting service and I will never use Anoki again , neither will I recommend it to anyone! Lost a valuable regular customer who you have had for over 10 years.

When i emailed the company with photos for proof, i got no reply. I didnt want a refund, as we had eaten most of it, but an apology would have been enough. Only when i chased it up did i get a reply. The reply was poor, basically they had not seen my previous email, but didnt bother to look back for it either. I was then told that the customer is always right, but we cant be responsible if the customer orders wrong. If Nav (the chap dealing with my issue) had checked the emails properly (or at all), he would have seen the order, as i also forwarded their confirmation email stating what we ordered. Nav was disrespectful and arrogant. Deffo a discredit to the company.

Went with family during the 'Eat Out to Help Out' Scheme and it was hammered. We were made to wait, despite us making a reservation days in advance. They were so disorganised and waiters were running around bumping into each other in the most chaotic manner. Finally when we got seated, and our order was taken for our food, the food took ages coming out, brought out in drips and drabs and lukewarm. When re-ordering drinks, they took forever coming out. When we had placed the order for our mains, we had specified one dish to be made saucy and spicy... what came out was the complete opposite, very bland, despite the waiter confidently telling us he's made a note. When brought to his attention, he just shrugged in arrogance. So much for customer service. Very rude, ill mannered man. The okra main we ordered was not seasoned or cooked through, we informed another waiter who took it away to recook but unfortunately, even the second time they could not get it cooked through. It was a nightmare dining experience, the food was tasteless and the service disgusting. The shocking thing was how high the bill came to at the end... it didn't quite add up... I am aware how the scheme is calculated but at this point, we were all deflated. Anoki for me has gone downhill. There is no consistency or standard left any more.

Very dissapoimted this timebecause im a regular to anoki a38 and have left numerous 5* reviews in the past as its the best place ive eaten a curry, and ive tried plenty of indian restuarants, but last night was by far the worst experience i have had with yourselfs.we originally booked a table of 2 but after me telling my 2 friends how amazing me and my wife find anoki they decided to come with us so we changed it to 4 people..we had a table booked for 20.00 and got there about 19.40, the car park was rammed and had to actually reverse out onto the a38 to allow a car out.we then had to queue outside in the cold until approximatley 8.15 where we finally got inside the building and seated.i understand that it was extremley busy but we didnt even get drinks until 8.35 and we hadnt even ordered.the food was nowhere near its usual standards and seemed thrown onto the plate instead of how it normally comes.the mirch masala was nice but my wifes chicken saag wasnt brilliant.hot chilli fish seemed just slung on the plate.we didnt actually get any food until 21.00 ( starter ) and were still eating our main when the lady bought our bill ( £160) to us which i understand with the 22.00 close but it was 21.50 and it wasnt our fault we waited.i just feel that whilst this is going on ( 22.00 closure ) then maybe not have so many bookings, we would of happily gone to fusion of india if we knew you would of been that busy.like i say i understand that its busy but feel let down by a meal that wasnt cheap and how id massivley pushed how brilliant anoki was to our friends ( fusion of india lovers ) just to feel let down.the gentleman who took our plates away was chatting to us and realised we wasnt happy and apologised.hopefully next time we cone the service and food will hopefully be back up to its usual standard.just feel i had to express my dissapointment rather than keep it in after visiting anoki for over 10yrs regular.Ive messaged to complain but didnt recieve any responsemany thanks for your time

I really enjoyed my meal out at Anoki in Burton. We went on a mid-week evening. Plenty of space between tables, hand gel on arrival and the staff wore masks so I felt they were making a good effort to be COVID safe. We went for the 2 course special, with that you also got poppadoms and a pre-starter while we waited. The food was very flavourful and beautifully presented. My husband has a gluten intolerance and the staff were knowledgeable of what was safe for him to eat (which was most of the menu as the tend to use gram flour). They even made him a special gluten free flat bread for his main course. We had a really enjoyable evening and we look forward to returning.

Have eaten in and ordered from Anoki many times over the years. Their ready meal delivery service over lockdown was fantastic and their food has usually been top notch. However the last time we ordered takeaway, the order was 45 minutes late and the quality of the food had gone downhill. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we ordered again tonight, placing the order at 6:30 and were told the food would be with us by 7:45.At 8:50, starving and after numerous phone calls being given no concrete ETA, the food finally arrived. I ordered the balti special mix, which was frankly terrible to the extent where I couldn’t stomach the meat. There were no prawns as advertised, one piece of lamb and the chicken was slimy, smothered in grease and the sauce consisted of mainly oil and grease. I shan’t be either visiting or ordering from them again.

Our family ordered an express takeaway before 9am on a Friday morning with a promised delivery between 3pm and 8pm.After waiting in all afternoon (do you have to wait in all afternoon as No delivery time was given ???)It did Not arrive!Tried phoning Burton for 30 mins and the line was constantly engaged !I phoned Derby to be told it wasn’t their problem and put the phone down ! HOW RUDE!So made a car journey to Burton to be told it would be on our doorstep when we returned ( Anoki vans were parked up in their car park )So well after 9pm our delivery arrived COLD with NO RICE !!!!We ended up eating after 10pm with my daughter who is 7 months pregnant which was far too late to eat .I have left several messages and spoken to Anoki and still waiting for a manager to ring me back !!!Would definitely NOT recommend Anoki and will Never use then again!!!!

We had a super evening meal at Anoki. The food was delicious and as always we over ordered , but doggy bags were provided. I can highly recommend the tandoori king prawns and the delicious lamb chops. Our waiter, Yasir, looked after us really well. At the end of the evening we mentioned that it was my brothers birthday the following day , and the next thing we knew a cake with sparkler appeared at the table. It was a lovely touch. We look forward to returning.

Absolutely awful service! We used the “express delivery service” ordered before the 3pm cut off and was told it would be with us between 4-8pm...that’s ok.8pm comes...called them up to be told that it would be with us by 8:30pm...ok.9pm...tried calling them 20+ for no answer so we tried calling the Derby branch, spoke to the manager there and received the response “it’s not our problem” and he put the phone down, awful!9:15pm...Luckily we were only a 5min drive away from Anoki burton so drove down there to be told by the manager..”you can see how busy we are, your food will be at your door by the time you get back!” Gave us 2 “free” beers and sent us on our way!...ok.9:30pm...and yes the delivery driver was there when we got back but the delivery was missing 2 rice and the onion bhaji’s looked like flat pancakes and nothing like on their website!So...another phone call to them to emphasise how important it is to have rice with a curry and that the onion bhajis looked like they’d just come out of someone’s back pocket! In the end the missing 2 rice safely made it onto our plates and the new onion bhajis looked exactly the same but we were all so bloody hungry at this point that I didn’t care.Ow yea...remember that the express is anything but express because you’ll have to heat up the food when it arrives...so 10pm and we were finally sat down eating our “flat back pocketed” onion bhajis!Avoid this place and this company like the plague! Totally rude, unprofessional and customer service skills of Donald trump! Appalling!

We went on a Tuesday night using the eat out to help out offer. When we arrived the car park was absolutely packed so had to double park - people were queueing to get in luckily I had booked a table. On entering the restaurant it was clear that they had packed as many people in as they could. They came and took our drinks order and that arrived after about 15 minutes but after asking three times for a menu after about 50 minutes we gave up and just decided to order without a menu, so grabbed a waiter. Food took forever to arrive in total we were there over three hours it was not a pleasurable experience, the service was poor. the food was mediocre and the price was still high even with the discount - we will not be going there again.

We went here on a ‘eat out to help out’ day and I don’t know if this what made the experience so poor but we left feeling very disappointed. The place was rammed, I didn’t feel safe at all considering the current situation, it felt like Anoki wanted to ram as many people in as possible. It was very loud, very busy, very hot and generally quite unpleasant. The staff were clearly rushed off their feet, service was very slow and I wouldn’t say we felt welcome at all! We had to book to get a table so I don’t understand how the place was understaffed if they knew how many people were going to be dining. There were so many glasses pilled up on the bar, I felt like we were in a weatherspoons on a Friday night! There were no drinks menus to have a look at, I don’t know if this was due to covid or not but I was hoping to be able to look and see what was available. There were no deserts on the food menus which I thought was odd. Popadoms were great and generous, the sauces were a bit strange. My husbands starter and main was lovely however mine was very disappointing. The time it took to get any drinks and food was extremely poor, we had to ask for service in order to get our drinks (the last drink we ordered never even arrived). At one point we had a jug of water plonked on the table randomly with no word from the waiter and with no glasses.Overall, the food was ok but it was not to the quality we expecting. The service was terrible, the environment was not enjoyable and we feel very let down by a restaurant that is supposed to offer ‘fine dining’. We won’t be returning.

I went on Monday with my family for a table of 6ppl. The service was very poor as somebody came to take our drinks order after 15 minutes we were waiting for for drinks menu to come. Starters were nice but main course was very very bad quality. I had upset stomach whole night. Very expensive food even with eat out to help out offer. We won’t recommend if you want nice quality curry. We won’t be going back ever. It use to be very good before but now no where near there.

I appreciate that the Eat Out to Help Out scheme may have thrown things into a bit of disorder, but it really was not ideal. We were seated on time, very quick to come and take our drinks order and bring us poppadums and pickles... and then we waited almost an hour to order our food, which was from a set menu. The table next to us, who arrived at the same time as us, actually just upped and left before giving their food order. It all just seemed very disorganised. We stuck it out as it was our first night child-free since our baby was born in December, but we weren't particularly impressed with the service.Luckily, as it was a set menu, the food came out quickly once we had ordered, and the food was really very good. All very fresh and delicious. We would probably go back, but it was very disorganised - too few staff for the amount of tables, basically, and they didn't have a very good system going.

There were flies all over the place, spiders on the outside of the dirty windows, car park was a nightmare, we ordered what we were told was 'like a chicken tikka masala'.. very inaccurate description, I had 2 mouthfuls and couldn't eat any more! The chicken tasted more like it had been in a stew, which I can only presume it's been batched cooked and overcooked.£33 each for 2 courses, minus £10 each, still over priced for our experience

Car park rammedA wedding reception going on in a marquee outsideInside rammed (zero social distancing) felt uncomfortable and nearly left but everyone was very hungryService very poor. Had to chase waiters all the time. Who were very polite but the service was not there. Food was very very good - however at £20+ a main course it was a rip off. This is a restaurant next to the grotty A38 with an abandoned building next door with the roof falling off, not a Mitchellin rated gaff in central London.Had to ask for the bill three times and then went and paid at reception. Was not asked to fill out any COVID tracing form, which we only realised when we got home. Assume that would be the same with everyone else who went there. So they wont be able to keep track everyone isn’t eh event of an outbreak. As I say, food was really very very good but way overpriced and in an environment which has paid zero attention to any form of distancing between tables.

We decided to take my parents out (their first venture out in hospitality) and as money is tight due to Covid we took advantage of the eat out to help out scheme When we arrived, the car park was mental with cars everywhere (v dangerous when you understand the location) Our pre booked table wasn’t ready but we were told to wait in the marquee which could be beautiful but had a couple of scruffy old sofas in which were too low for my father to get down to Place was packed, half an hour wait to order drinks. I had never visited Anoki before and was expecting to pay a bit more but quite frankly wAs astonished when I eventually found the prices on the menu £27 for one course.......yes should read correctly !!!!! The food to be fair to them was hot and tasty when it arrived but even with eat out to help out scheme it was more than £40 per head I don’t think this is acceptable the website doesn’t have pricing and maybe I was naive but this is Burton on Trent on a wednesday evening not Mayfair on a Saturday night This business has decided to exploit the govt scheme And I will not be returning - their safety measures were not good enough either with disposable menus being used several times and social distancing a joke when Over crowd your business

So we came on the pretence of the eat deal with 50% off upto £10 per personBut guess what no prices on menu???? What is that all about??Seated promptly. But that was it. Service was abysmal. Waiters running around and shouting at each other. We waited over an hour for mains. Other diners clearly annoyed. I saw a couple walk out. It was disorganised and whole thing was poor. Food was OK. Came out cold. Waited too long to complain. Asked many times for things but never came. Wanted desert and tea but waiter said could be 30 mins wait!!!Came to bill and guess what...they didn't include children...eben though clearly states children on website. Lady said anyone over 8 is included...i said show me terms. She couldn't so clearly just made up!!!Mains were £20 each and starters around £10. So central London top end prices. Even with discount was expensive. Never again

During the lockdown period we ordered both takeaways (twice - hot food delivered and bigger menu to choose from) and the just heat express range (3 or 4 times) and we were impressed with both. The just heat express deliveries always arrived before teatime and although a more limited menu, the food was of a great standard and good portion size. It was lovely to be able to have our Anoki fix even though we couldn't eat out at the restaurant. We were so glad to see Anoki reopening once the go ahead was given. So we booked (with a bit of trepidation) so we could celebrate a birthday with a meal out - something we have always taken for granted before Covid struck. I suppose we were a bit nervous but we chose Anoki Burton because we know its spacious and guessed Nav would be able to adhere to social distancing. And we were right; the tables were well spaced out, plenty of distance between chairs and the staff maintained social distancing at all times. They wore face masks too which was good to see but although made conversation a bit more difficult it wasn't a problem lol. Food was absolutely delicious - it came out in a very timely manner and was well presented as always. The added touches of pakora with chutneys after the poppadoms and sorbets at the end of the meal was fabulous. Hope you can keep that up!So we had a very pleasant evening and we'll definitely be back soon. So lovely to be able to go out for a curry again!

My family and I have enjoying visiting Anoki throughout the past few years. We love the Indian and, in the past, we have been happy with the customer service we have received. Although we’re not happy about our recent experience. On Wednesday night I decided to order a meal for Thursday as it said it would be arriving the next day. The food didn’t arrive Thursday evening so I gave it until later just in case they had delays but we still hadn’t received our order so I decided to ring Anoki and the person I spoke to assured me they’d ring me back to resolve why my food hadn’t arrived, but they never rang back. At this point we had to make something different for dinner which is more difficult when you’re a family of four. On Friday I was certain it was going to arrive around dinner time considering they’re already a day late. On Friday it was 6 o’clock and my food order still hadn’t arrived so I yet again decided to ring the restaurant, it took me and my partner between us over 200 attempts calling when it was going straight through to answer phone, when it finally went through the line twice it kept ringing and then went through to voicemail. Yet again I gave it until past 7 o’clock where our meal still hadn’t arrived so I had to make a meal again for the family,so i tried ringing and got through to a female when she was very deffensive about the number of orders at the moment, there was no good will genstured, at 8:40 that evening my meal finally arrived, after missing two dinners waiting for this to arrive. This service was terribly poor and I do not understand how you can expect people to pay for the service when you can’t even deliver it on time. I understand these are unprecedented times but I ordered this on Wednesday and then received it late Friday and the order was in excess of £65.

I was told 30-45mins delivery but, no it took an hour and half before we got our food and it was cold. When the food arrived it was missing the nan bread. I called them to than be met with attitude. My opinion not worth your money go to normanton you will find better for less the price including better customer service. I will definitely not be using them again.... If zero stars existed I would’ve given zero. Overpriced for nothing and slow service...

We ordered a Paneer Makhani and a Chicken Makhani from the Burton restaurant last night and I've never been so disappointed with an Indian meal! It consisted of some chunks of paneer floating in a sauce so watery/soupy that it flooded the plate and could not be eaten with a naan bread as it just ran off. We had to leave it! Considering it's so expensive, this was one of, if not the worst I've ever had.

Family of 10. Where to begin. Mixed up veg and non veg samosas and my vegetarian wife ended up eating meat. Half hearted apologies, blaming each other - they didn’t really have a clue. We waited 1 hour for starters even through the restaurant was super quiet. Food was not great. Fish Amritsar slimy and bland. Chana Puri bland. Nan breads flat. Chilli paneer and paneer shashlik were identical. Tandoori chicken and aloo tiki were ok. No drinks menu. Left after Starters. Place is a joke.

Arrived yesterday evening. Check in quick and easy, except being advised to wait for someone to take our bags, which we did ourself. What I would say is, the staff are excellent, so hard working, whoever the management are, they need a large rocket, period. This place feels nice but the attention to detail is shocking. So we arrived on April 01st, who is the joker?! Queues of 20 minutes to get a drink ffs. Complained but didn’t really change anything. A la carte restaurants shut, nice one. Low and behold, today, the ice creams, 25 minute queue to be told no strawberry, vanilla or chocolate. I’m not rude but i did stop the server from chatting to his buddy as there were 25 people in the queue behind me. Joke. Overall £500 a week for here is good value, don’t expect anything more. Right on the beech.
