From booking online the service was great, The staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough to help and advise. The food was excellent and the temperature of the food was so hot. We were 2 couples and all had different dishes, which were all very different and absolutely lovely. We will definitely be returning.

Fabulous Indian Restaurant x my friends (6 or 7 of us) spend our birthday evening’s here. Food is first class and served piping hot. Went on a miserable dull Monday evening not expecting much. We were warmly welcomed by staff who from the outset wanted serve us as well as possible. We had starters and main course and all were absolutely excellent yes the price may be a little higher than the competition but the food, service and ambience make it all extremely worthwhile. It was so good that for the first time oin years we asked for and got a doggie bag to take home what we couldn't eat then. Just try it, it is excellent and will give you total satisfaction. I can't wait to go back.

We waited 1.5 hours for 1st to arrive to be given the completely incorrect order. Contacted the restaurant to be told the driver took the wrong order. Then told our order will be delivered within 20 minutes but took a further 50 minutes to arrive by the time it was 9:15pm completely too late to eat. So very disappointing on Mothering Sunday. Unfortunately will not be using this restaurant again. Took 3 phone calls to finally resolve the issue not even an apology.

Food at Anokha is always excellent. Great service and friendly staff. We have used this restaurant and Cardamom Bay for over ten years and the food has always been superb, both eating in and for take away.

Glad we booked as place was packed. It was very noisy due to the constant loud phone calls. We had a bit of a wait for our order to be taken because the waiters are so distracted with the phone calls for deliveries and the customers for takeaway. But we thankfully wasn’t in a rush. Once the food was ordered we didn’t actually have to wait long for it. I have to say the food was absolutely delicious and we all thoroughly enjoyed what we had ordered. This place is a must but i feel they just need one more member of staff to deal with front of house and it would have been five stars. But the food was so tasty I can forgive them.

Been a regular customer for take aways from the Anokha for years. Recommended it to others even. I commonly get two main dishes, a Chicken Jalfrezi and a Lamb Balti. Sadly, this time will be my last. The Jalfrezi was very different to usual. Chunks of chicken, which were nice enough, but they were in a sauce that was 80% onions. No sign of anything else but the sauce and endless onions. Gave me an 80% sleepless night. The Lamb Balti was also different. Lacked the usual complexity in the sauce and the lamb was full of fat. Didn't enjoy it. Great shame but I have to go elsewhere.

Worst curry I've had here. Very greasy and bland. To make it worse we given take away boxes before we had finished or asked for them and push out the door after less than an hour on the table so they could sit a table that had just walked in. Disgusting won't be back or recommending it

Anokha is consistently good. I had a lamb vindaloo, and true to form, it lit me up a bit. The vindaloo had a nice portion of tender lamb chunks. If anything, I would like to see larger orders of naan. The service is consistently good. Some people in my party complained about the price which is why I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars.

Amazing flavours as always, great attention to detail and service, never had a less than great meal here. Location isn't everything, the food more than makes up for that..... It's a half hour journey for us, but well worth it, it's not a quick meal as the meals are cooked to order, not generic sauces like a lot of places. We normally have a chicken dish and a lamb one, can't go past a chicken tikka, cheese naan. A wide choice of dishes, lamb is normally well flavoured and really tender... Bring your own alcohol, but the little shop next door in the precinct is helpful for this....enjoy.

Our past 2 takeaways we have Ordered from here have been AWFUL and the customer service is to match!! We were told that the food would be 30-40mins for food to be delivered so after an hour of nothing I called and asked where it was and they apologised and said driver had left and was on way. After another 25mins I called again saying no one had arrived and was told he’d left with our curry half hour ago and would’ve be king. I said it will be cold to which I was told “fight be silly no it won’t “ when the food arrived 1hr 45 mins after ordering it was cold. I asked the driver to wait whilst I checked temperature of the food and the udder, we were missing a rice, a naan and the food was cold. I called the restaurant who said to give the driver less money and then the driver refused saying it wasn’t his fault and he wanted all the money. We kept the food and reheated it as kids were so hungry. The restaurant told the driver to except the money and leave. The driver was rude and told us he wanted the food back I said no the kids are eating it and the restaurant had agreed a price with me. We ended up with 2 curry’s that were wrong, no naan and a missing rice. When I called the next day the restaurant just said they’d been busy and took to many orders no apology or anything. I’ve not used them since and won’t ever again

Ordered on line. (Order No 365566) Expected delivery in 50 minutes, took 95 minutes. Order cold and incomplete when it eventually arrived. When I contacted restaurant the person I spoke to offered to send out the missing item but apparently they were very busy and understaffed. I was very angry and stated that we were not in a position to wait another hour for the missing main and I wanted a refund. I was told that wasn’t possible and the manager would contact me. I was also told that ordering on line automatically generates the emails but they don’t mean anything, what’s the point of that? 48 hours later I have not heard a word from the manager. We really enjoyed eating in at this restaurant. The staff were welcoming & friendly. They were happy to accommodate our family of 16 last minute. The food was amazing and the portion sizes were really generous. Overall we all left very satisfied.

Staff were pleasant and the food was good. All we had was a curry and rice. Why did they have to add a 10% service charge when the prices in the restaurant are higher than the takeaway prices. Much to the disgust of the angry waiter we refused to pay it and we will not return.

Terrible!!!!! Meat was tough and flavourless, we were missing a rice and a curry so only got 50% of our order. They said they would then redeliver immediately. Called up 20 mins after this phone call and was advised they had already left. We then got a call from the delivery driver saying she was just leaving the restaurant and didn’t know where to deliver too. Will NEVER EVER order from here again and will advise all friends and family to never order from this bodged take away.

Ordered 2 hours in advance for delivery. An hour late and still hadn’t arrived. Had to go to the restaurant to be told it’s right by the house. Another 30 mins and it turned up! Ordered at 17.40 now 19.42 called at 19.00 and told on road. Called again and said was leaving now so asked why was we lied to that was on road already!!!! When called to chase again got put onside why they served 5 other people that could make out and then an argument with the chefs and heard all !! Used to be one of my fave eateries. Well not anymore. Ordered a takeaway. Took an hour and half to arrive, was stone cold and the chicken korma was like dish water. Pathetic and this is the second time I have been fobbed off and promised discount on next delivery. That’s poor customer service as the discount don’t happen. Won’t be ordering again

we arrived exactly on time for our pre booked meal, but the restaurant was full....after waiting 20 mins we were shown to an unlaid table where we had to badger the waiters for any service.....menus, drinks, popadoms all were a struggle to get.....we actually started our meal 1 hour 45 mins after we arrived....the lengthy wait was made all the more dissapointing with the realization that there was a steady flow of takeaways leaving the kitchen at the expense of the restaurant clients.....After finishing our meal, i asked to speak to the manager, after a wait of approx 20 mins, i asked the waiter where he was, only to be told that he was coming from another branch...this was a lie, a rather unkempt man appeared from the kitchen who explained that there was no manager in the restaurant, and that nobody was coming from another branch....he apparently was the manager of the kitchen which meant that he had the authority to argue with me......the gist of his retort was, its Saturday night, its very busy and thats the way it is.....and we should be gratefull for the 25% reduction from the bill total......Suffice to say we will never ever be returning to this Resuarant ever again.....

Ordered via deliveroo but the order is furfilled and delivered by the restaurants own driver. Ordered at 7pm expected delivery was 8pm. Called at 8.20 and was told it was being cooked and would be 15min. Still not arrived by 9pm so called again and they hung up, called again and was told it was on its way. Eventually at 9.30 it turned up but was cold and we had to heat it up. Totally ruined our evening and no apology or even an extra pappadum. Deliveroo thankfully have a full refund. Will never use this takeaway again. Awful service. Avoid

We were going to go out for dinner tonight but I thought no let’s have an Indian takeaway and watch a film. So, I ordered our Indian at 7.30 and they said it would be 45 mins - an hour. So, we waited. And then we waited and waited! I called them at 8.45 and they assured me that the food was on it’s way. 9 pm and it still hadn’t arrived so I called them again and they tell me that it’s just left the building and would be with us soon. I was very angry so they offered to refund me £10. The order came to £65 which was very expensive in the first place but I agreed and we waited some more. 9.30pm and the order still hadn’t arrived. I called them and cancelled the order! I’d already paid on credit card so am expecting a full refund otherwise I’ll be in touch with my credit card about this. So pissed off as absolutely starving. Totally ruined what should have been a lovely evening!

We thought we would try this take away, normally we use The Magna, but felt like a change.The nan was so heavy and soggy. The main course was lacking any flavour as it was covered in a a very thin gravy, which had not seen any Indian spices at all. IWe will NOT be going back. Their product descriptions were way out of reality.Excellent delivery time of 45 minutes.So definitely back to the Magna.

After ordering a simple chicken curry which took 50mins to be delivered we was given 2 rogan Josh I phone and was told sorry and sent replacement only to be delivered the same curry hot curry full of herbs and tomatoes and hot again phoned to say this is not basic chicken curry but Rogan Josh to be told it’s was a chicken curry not Rogan Josh I was shouted at very rudely and told u had replacement food nothing more we can do £27 down and no food we could eat we will not be using again good job we weren’t allergic to it could have been dangerous

We have never used (or been to) this place before and live in central Chichester. They put a flyer thru our letterbox and so glad they did. The curry was outstanding! Fresh, tasty, perfectly cooked and seasoned. And the delivery was timely and only £2.50 charge all the way from Bognor. This will now be our go-to curry house (and we have tried them ALL in Chichester). If you like hot, we had the Bengali Chilli Lamb. Wow!! And it came with poppadoms and chutneys at no extra charge. Seriously good food, value and delivery service! 5* for all Covid-deprived curryholics!
