Anisa's Indian Takeaway in Calderdale

Very friendly staff and nice and clean environment

We ordered a takeaway at 7pm with an estimated delivery of 7:50pm. We then contacted the restaurant after no food at 8:20pm and were told that they apologise due to a car fault and that we ‘were next’. At 9pm we drove to the restaurant to witness our food just being taken out for delivery. I accepted the order was told that I am not happy with the lack of communication around the delays. I was told that they would be in touch regarding reimbursements, they have not been. Do not pay by card for your order as they are unreliable. Food is brill but not worth unpredictability.

Ordered from them a while back, whilst the curries were very tasty the service was poor. They missed out a couple items on our delivery order and said "we'll include it next time", there won't be a next time. You can go out for cheaper and they use pataks curry paste!

Best curry we’ve ever had, hands down. Meat is amazing quality, curries are so tasty and full of flavour and the sundries are also delicious. Have had a few times and it never misses, definitely a regular.

The best lamb saag I've ever had. The lemon rice is amazing and so tasty. I'm addicted . 100%recommend.

Ali and his staff are fantastic the best curry's about along with starters I have also worked there as an electrician and the back of house is spotless definitely a big plus

Unbelievable taste... one of the best Naga Takari I have ever had! This is best Indian in the local area.. Passanda is also very nice and sweet 😋 Top Shop!

Poor to be honest. Food was flavourless, naan undercooked. I don't expect a curry to blow my head off every time but it was almost like no spice of any kind was used. However, the staff were very polite and the chap that delivered was very polite too which is nice as usually takeaways get thrown at you.

First time ordering. Was not disappointed. Chicken Parsi, delicious tender chicken. Generous portions. Lovely staff. Defo worth trying. Enjoy !

Can't fault it. Starters and mains full of flavour and fresh. Bit pricier than other Indians but worth paying the extra.

We always get Indian Takeaway from Anisa's and usually stick with Chicken Dopiaza, Tandoori Butter Chicken or Lamb Byriani. Tried Chicken Karhi today which was just beautiful 😋 ....and the naan breads are delicious too. We always get a warm welcome and are never disappointed by the quality of the meals.

Defo best meat curry in the area. Not the best vegetarian options.

Just had a kahari masala...jackpot. Thick tasty sauce, chickpeas cooked to perfection, lots of proper tasty chicken.

I dont write reviews but wow. Take aways are very much same old and often poor quality but this place is sooo much the opposite. Great menu, deliious fresh food and truly nice people running it. Fantastic.

We were camping nearby and had read the reviews for Anisa's. We thought this was one of the best Indian takeaways that we had eaten in a long time. Very good value and very tasty. The guy at the takeaway who took the order was great, will definately return when we are in the area again!!

The food like the service is EXCELLENT! My good lady likes a VERY mild Korma!! And myself? It needs to be on the mild side as I have a terribly sensitive tum! But mentioned this and was delivered aplomb! I'm not sure what was in it, but I ate it ALL at the one sitting! Plus the Peshawari nan! Well, normally keep some for my Breakfast! 😂.

Would like to thank Taj Miah for a lovely evening, was on holiday in the area from Jersey Channel Islands. I decided finally to try Indian food and found this Restaurant. Taj made my experience amazing for all the family. Polite efficient and food was of high standard. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting England, try this Resturant. 10 out of 10 thanks again.

Ordered from here for the first time after moving into the area. The staff were brilliant and very friendly, even on the phone when we placed our order. The curry was nice and we will definitley order again!

Beautiful food but they state they are open till 12am but they clearly are not! Tried ordering from 11.30pm but NO answer !! Why state a closing time if you cannot be bothered to answer the phone??!!!! Very, very annoying and disappointing!! Hence 3 stars. If they could be bothered to answer the phone and deliver then would be 5 stars but this is not the first time trying to order on an evening. If you want to order after 10.30pm it is hit and miss and after 11 its a no no! 2nd, 3rd or 4th time this has happened! 👎

Although Anisa’s is not the cheapest curry in town, it is by far the best! You get what you pay for!

Best curry I've had in several years! We ordered a good variety of dishes between us and everything was superb apart from the rice which really didn't meet the standard of the rest of the food. However, that certainly won't put me off ordering from there again - we have finally found a brilliant curry takeaway within easy reach!

Just tried for the first time. Poppadums and pickle tray for starters, a prawn and a paneer balti for mains. Delicious - absolutely no complaints and we'll get two meals out of it!

asked if we could change mistakenly asked for poppadoms instead of chapatti, well who ever answered the phone was arrogant and his reply was too late order placed and set off to deliver, well, still waiting for delivery after an hour emmm mmmmmmm ill go some where else next time

Im a huge curry fanatic and since i moved to halifax i have had a curry from Anisa's every week or more! The best Indian takeaway that i have ever had, and i have had many! Everyone is extremely friendly too, customer service is on point. Try one of the speciality dishes! you wont regret it!

Best takeaway food I've eaten in many a year. Not just your usual Indian food either, although it is available. Try the Chef's Specials, I've never been disappointed yet.
