Staff were rude and blunt in their answers to my couple of questions about their breakfasts. Appeared disinterested and ultimately came across like they were there because they were the cheapest to employ and not because their had any particular skillset. Sad to see for a cafe that if their menu pricing and aesthetic are to be judged is going for a quality experience. I went around the corner to Tescos for breakfast where the staff are similarly disinterested but the food is 25% cheaper.

After waiting 30 minutes after our order we finally received our two coffees. My daughter’s order was incorrect and although the person giving us the order advised that she could change this we didn’t wish to wait another 45 minutes for one omelette. We visited Angels in our lunch break and would not be visiting again. Other customers were kept waiting for drinks. When one customer asked the waitress when they would receive their drinks they received a rude response that she would do this now - they too had waiting approximately 30 minutes just to receive their drinks. On another table a lady with a dog didn’t even receive cutlery and had to ask the people on the next table if she could have the spare set that they had. Also no attempts were made to clear the dirty and cluttered table she sat on even when her food was bought over! I would not recommend this cafe and wouldn’t be going again.

Great food, polite attentive service What's not to like. Obviously a chef who knows their stuff! Many thanks and merry Christmas

We were really looking forward to visiting Angels again as our last experience was great. But the last time we were the only table occupied. Today, we waited nearly twenty minutes before we were even served our coffee. Whilst watching numerous just eat orders leave the building it seemed the customers who made the effort to visit the premises were not a priority. My partners breakfast was Luke warm and we had paid extra for two portions of black pudding which we never received after informing the waitress as soon as the breakfast was served. It was never brought out and no offer of a refund after paying for something we never received . Very disappointed will not make the effort for a return visit.. or maybe just use their take out service as this clearly was a priority.

Whole meal and a half missing when ordered - toast was black burnt, egg was rubbery and soaked in oil, bacon and mushrooms undercooked, sausage was solid, even my 2 year old didn’t eat hers and spat the food out straight away, waste of money spent £30, milkshakes warm tasteless and have an odd taste to them didn’t get drunk, food was barely touched

They offer many different items for breakfast and the prices are reasonable. However, sausages were cooked too dry. Perhaps a bit less salt in the food if possible.

I visited with family for a birthday. The staff at Angels were fantastic, and went ‘all out’ including balloons and banners in their decorations. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much. The food was excellent, with plenty of variety to choose from. I have found a new favourite lunch time spot in Portsmouth, and can’t wait to return

Pub real, gente estupenda, gran personal, mucha diversión. Reglas simples durante Covid, firmar en la puerta con el número de la mafia, lavarse las manos, ordenar, sentarse, ¡la cerveza llega en segundos! Incluso fuera de un gran pub.

Visited this pub and stayed about 2 years ago, lovely rooms, great pub, cosy & inviting, great atmosphere and food. Visited pub this Easter weekend, well I was shocked! I assume changed hands as now run down and empty considering 8.30pm on Saturday evening. Not sure what it's meant to be but certainly didn't feel like a pub, more like a cross between a village hall and an Indian restaurant when you look at furniture. Place full of tables set for diners with mismatch metal chairs garden furniture and high back chairs from a restaurant, no comfortable sitting at all. Felt awkward sitting there for the 1 drink we had and they were already clearing bar to close for the night. Cold and clinical lighting and I won't mention the toilets! Disappointed visit and sad that the pub has lost its charm. Won't be visiting again plenty of other lovely pubs just a few 100 yards away.

What a lovely place! Right on the sea front with amazing views. Due to the pending Storm Ashley, the el fresco terrace was out of bounds. Such a shame it's a total suntrap! A A great atmosphere and the staff were chilled, happy, and efficient. There's a great choice of food on the menu, and not just 'sea-side' food. We had the small bites. The decor is spot on and trendy. You can even hire it out for private functions! Oh, and all the great varieties of bread are baked in-house.

Probably the best mocha, with extra shot, I have ever had. Sustained me halfway to Winchester.
