Visiting Hayle with friends for a second time this weekend, we booked to eat here this evening having had a great meal 12 months ago. It’s been a miserable day today - very wet n cool, but the great cozy atmosphere and our homely comforting meals really hit the spot. Staff friendly as always, and a busy cozy location and ambiance made our evening perfect. Would definitely recommend this place- food is excellent and good value.

First time coming here after looking at the reviews and I am glad I did!.... after managing to book a table last minute we were greeted with a very warm welcome. The lady who served us was really nice, full of chat and nothing was too much for her, now the food!!!! In a nutshell excellent!!! Proper homemade pub food!!!! The Sirloin steaks was beautiful, the chips and onion rings were crisp and cooked perfect and the homemade coleslaw was beautiful!!! All in all a gem of a place!!!!!

Very enjoyable Sunday lunch. Well cooked and piping hot. Roast only on Sunday. No starters offered but that turned out to be a blessing as the lunch was not only tasty but substantial. Certainly no room for pudding, although some good choices. Nice atmosphere. Mix of locals and visitors. Everyone very friendly and the staff very pleasant. The weekday menu looks very tempting and we'll be giving that a try on our next visit. Nice to see a village pub that hasn't lost its character. It deserves its success.

What a great find. Proper pub with large car park and a great welcome from Billy the Barman. I’m what can only be described as “super fussy” food wise but plenty of choices took my fancy. I settled on the steak pie with chips and veg, super succulent beef and plenty of it. My husband chose the chicken, ham and leek pie with mash and veg. I swapped a few chips for my husband’s lovely creamy mash, definitely have that next time. Good choice of drinks from bar so will hopefully return for an evening session, maybe stay over in Moho in car park if Landlord open to that. Had a lovely chat with Billy about the pub and will definitely come back with a few friends. Funnily enough met up with Billy and his friend by complete chance in The Ale House in Truro that night.

Super food and a warm welcome, definitely worth a visit. If you’re visiting in December, the pub is located in the heart of the Angarrack village Christmas lights display, which was a lovely surprise find but a nightmare to navigate with parking… parking highly recommended 10 mins away / outside the village and enjoy the walk in. The pub would be worth a visit any time but the lights were a definite bonus.

Angarrack is worth visiting in the evening festivities for the magnificent Christmas light installations. This very characteristic place offers typical English cuisine. We ate here on a Friday evening on our journey back from Falmouth to Carbis Bay. We read the reviews on Google and thought we‘d give it a try as we were looking for a dog friendly location. We rang and it was suggested we book as it was quite busy being a Friday evening. What a gem, this pub is off the beaten track in a small village but the food was superb. It was full with a mixture of locals and visitors which made the pub very homely. My wife thought the Steak and Ale pie was the best she has ever tasted, packed with meat and light pastry. I had the ribs which were a special for the evening and we followed this with a shared Sticky Toffee pudding. If you are in the area you must go there but don’t follow the sat nav blindly like we did, go via the road behind the shopping centre off the A30 near Hayle.

Friday evening we returned to the Angarrack Inn as it is close to our hotel and a friendly welcome. The food is unpretentious but, like the beer, well done. We have visited a few times before while on holiday. I took my in-laws for the first time. They absolutely loved it. My mother in-law said the steak and ale pie was the best she's had at a restaurant. Second in taste to her own. That's high praise! The beef lasagne and the vegetarian one where so tasty. The portions are plentiful so only one of us had room for dessert. Apple crumble, it looked amazing. I wish I had room for it myself. When I asked them if they had enjoyed the meal they said 10 out of 10 and promotion to favourite daughter in-law for taking them! Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit. I would advise booking. We went on a Tuesday night and it soon filled up.

We were traveling down from Sussex to Lizard point, we had been held up by every roadwork possible and were in need of good food and a nice setting. That is exactly what we found at Angarrack Inn! Below the imposing arches of a huge via duct, nestled in a quaint setting sits this delightful Inn. From the minute we arrived we were greeted by one of the staff , who found us a table and made us feel so welcomed. There was a wait, as they were busy ( always a good sign) which was no problem, it gave us time to relax and peruse the menu. The choice was good and yet not too huge so it was easier to decide; there were vegan and vegetarian options that were very good and they also were happy to swap things around because of our intolerances! And the prices were fair. I had the vegan steak and chips with salad and my mum had the vegetarian curry. The portions were generous and the food hand cooked and delicious! Then to top it all we ordered the vegan gf cheesecake which was scrumptious! If you are in need of a high quality meal, with the old Inn ambiance, friendly staff and excellent food, with vegan and vegetarian options , then this is the place for you! We will definitely return.

Invaded Angarrack Inn with our family group of 14 (& 3 dogs) and were superbly looked after and made to feel at home. The Steak and Ale pie is literally a wonder to behold, order it you won't be disappointed! Great staff, great service, lovely pub. Hayle also knows how to do village Christmas decorations more than any other!

What an excellent little gem. The pub staff are extremely accommodating and the service was very friendly. I tried the Christmas Pie and it was a real treat. Christmas Dinner under pastry with Turkey, stuffing, cranberry and pigs in blankets. The atmosphere was made all the better by the village Christmas light displays which can only be described as amazing. Very well done to all involved 🎅👏👏

Great little pub but surprisingly roomy inside. Service was friendly and quick and the atmosphere was cozy. Didn’t have any food but the menu looked really good.

The best roast dinner I've had in years. Service with a smile and reasonably priced. If I ever visit again this would be my go to Sunday roast.

Went for takeaway around 8pm 280425 and ordered 2 x fish and chips and a bottle of coke. Cost me £25 and a few pence. Took my food out with serviettes and the most pointless tiny wooden fork (the type a child eats a cone of chips with) with the intention of eating them on the bench outside watching the harbour lights. All sounds great until I opened the food up to be greeted with a greasy fish and what I assume to be chips that had been re-fried as they were Brown in colour, greasy and rather crunchy. I'd asked for salt and vinegar, apart from the first mouthful I didn't taste any after that. Very disappointed it made me feel sickly eating it and I threw half of it away. I expected better of a restaurant that talks so proudly about the quality of it's Cornish local grown potatoes. Not that great quality when they are re fried a second time! Won't be going here again

Without a doubt the friendliest pub in St Ives. Fantastic landlord, manager and staff who always made us feel welcome. Our son was always made to feel welcome too, he loves his football and music and pool! Had something for everyone everyday. And a special shout out to Yogi Bear the pub dog who is adorable. Great choice of drinks, reasonable prices what more could you ask for on holiday or local for that matter! X

Yesterday we went as a family (8 people) for dinner. A cozy place, with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. A large selection of dishes and desserts, the size of which was absolutely huge! Everything is super tasty. Additionally, an agricultural store with a large selection of products, a place where you can pick your own fruit and admire animals :) A great place to eat and walk/relax
