Visited with my Mum as the roasts here were highly recommended. Everybody was very friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere. The roast beef was incredibly tender and wonderful and everything felt fresh and cared for. i was also recommended a lovely red to have with my meal.

Been coming to the Anchor for years and its the best its been the whole time. Its always staffed up the selection is amazing. its a bit pricey but its also the biggest place in town and shows literally every sporting event so its well worth it. also the food is epic and never fails.

Popped in here as the other Greene king pub had closed for food. we are super glad we did. we had a mixture of the sharing plates and a Turkey dinner, everything was gorgeous and looked great! it is a little bit more expensive that the other pubs but it is well worth it with a huge variety on the bar. the staff and even the chef came to say hello with a treat for our dogs. perfect service.

After work dinner and drinks, we were a table of 8 who were well looked after served quickly and with a smile. food was superb and really quick! great atmosphere after the Christmas lights turn on in town.

Stopped at the Anchor Hotel for lunch while doing Xmas shopping with my partner. We both had the turkey dinner, which was absolutely fantastic, moist turkey with all the trimmings and at a great price. Great selection of beers and ales and happy efficient staff.would recommended

Stopped for lunch today at one of my favourite pubs in Horsham. Staff make you feel incredibly welcome, feels really safe too re Covid procedures. Always a great selection of beers and the food from the new menu is outstanding. Service as always is friendly and welcoming. Great to be back!

Pre lockdown and tierings the Anchor Hotel was simply another pub in Horsham for me and not one I would necessarily arrange to go to.After the first lockdown (inspired by their quirky window slogans when shut) myself and a couple of others went. Brilliant. They nailed it. Quick, simple service. A drink within minutes of sitting down. Maximised the space they have. No faff, staff encouraged adherence to whatever rules were in place leading by example.They got a lot of the basics right, with a genuine smile too, and in doing so kept the pub atmosphere. It has (to me and others) felt safe throughout.My perception of the place has changed a lot, and for the better.

In the current climate this place has it spot on staff are courteous and explain everything upon arrival, my wife and I felt very safe sat in the window enjoying the festive feel they have, which brings some much needed cheer to what must be a very difficult time for all here. Abigail was so attentive to both our needs our entire visit. We will be back before the years out

A group of four for Lunch.Post lockdown many venues are struggling to get back their customer base and the rules and regulations have made things less than easy for many to find somewhere to relax.We settled down and ordered our food but one of our party was a little dismayed to find the chosen item was a starter. When a request was made for the 'starter to be served with the mains. The reassurance was "all the food is served at once". Now I know the covid regulations are quite strict but to have all parts of the meal served at the same time to a table barely large enough for the four diners to limit possible staff exposure? The reality of four persons mains and starters being served was a little unnerving.The drinks order was confused with a fresh orange juice being served in place of Cranberry juice this was due to 'the bar staff serving more orange juice than cranberry and the juices are listed by just three letters a very lame excuse ORA is very different to CRA. A little more attention and a little less chatter between staff would assist in getting it right without waste. Or perhaps a clearer font so ORA and CRA are easier to differentiateMy order was for bangers and mash simple enough but the wall-paper paste masquerading as mashed potato had develped a thick 'skin'was all but welded to the plate. Really?I know that many places serve up meals in advance but it was very clear that the mash and plate had been in close proximity under an 'infra red' for somewhat longer then the 20 minutes it took to prepare the rest of the order. I might postulate that it may have been 'warming' for up to an hour.As the shared meal was only a snack it was a shame that so many little errors spoiled the presentation and enjoyment. The company at the table was a delight but the venue let itself down by poor attention to detail.Could try harder is my assessment. I may be back for a return visit at a later date and as a mystery shopper to see if any lesson has been learned.

Great pub, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Came here on a busy Saturday afternoon with friends. All staff friendly and helpful. Great COVID precautions with their “pub safe” monitor who was cleaning tables and making sure everywhere was clean.

Staff very attentive, professional and excellent customer service delivery working under covid restrictions. All the team very cohesively led by the duty manager “Matt” working tirelessly to ensure customer satisfaction. Their customer service is terrible and their manager is very rude. Their food usually comes out cold and staff very unapologetic and don’t seem to care. Prices are high in comparison for what you get. Overall, would definitely not recommend and needs to be shut down!

Came in a couple weeks ago. Had a lovely time with the family. Me and my wife had the salt beef burger and the kids shared a Mac and cheese. Food was great quality and staff were friendly and polite. One thing I did notice one of the young girls(blonde?) was constantly on her phone, not paying attention and I find that unprofessional. Apart from that very happy with our visit and will be back. We went to The Anchour for dinner and honestly had some of the best chicken wings I have had for a long time ! The staff were all very helpful and understanding of the new systems in place due to the pandemic , making the whole experience stress free , and delicious !

We visited after a meal their was no waiting time but the place was very busy and noisy, clearly enjoyed by the youngsters but not a place for the older person.

Great pub in Horsham with varied drinks menu and good choices for food. Always busy and shows a lot of football with big screen upstairs. But what is going on with the toilets ... The women's have seats that move or are cracked the locks are hanging off and the taps spin when pressed you'll be lucky to find loo roll any time of the day the men's often stink and at 2pm in the afternoon the floors so wet you can slide please do something to fix all this as such a shame for an otherwise great place

Looks and smells like a Wetherspoons with London prices on beer. Pint glass not filled up to the top cheers guys. Toilets horrendously dirty and stink. I hate leaving bad reviews and I know people are trying to do their best but it’s never going to improve otherwise

Visited today whilst shopping in town when it started to rain and needed somewhere to hide!Very busy in the pub however only 2 staff members seemed to be handling the situation perfectly. Quick service and honest wait times given on my food order which was appreciated.Food was great considering how busy it was and will 100% be returning. Service would have been quicker if there were more staff available but it wasn't an issue for me as I had nowhere to be!

My sister and I popped in for a quick bite to eat on our lunch break, we were pleasantly surprised by the really lovely food. We had some small grazer style dishes which were hot, plentiful and well presented. The staff were also polite and attentive. My only criticism would be that the pub smelled like a hangover, could probably do with a bit of a freshen up but otherwise good

Visiting eldest daughter who at last minute had to work. She recommended Horsham and we had a few very enjoyable hours wandering around including a visit to the Anchor Hotel for a pint and a burger. Had a pint of Badger beer which was very enjoyable and washed down the burger beautifully. Bar staff was an Australian from Brisbane, she was very friendly sharing the highlights of her home and enjoying our memories of "down under" which turned out to be everywhere but Brisbane.

Had lunch here today and was really pleased with the friendly efficient service. The food we ordered came quickly and was piping hot and tasty. The Harvey’s beer was also excellent.

I enjoyed a few beverages with some friends here on a Friday evening before heading off to the Red Deer for dinner. There was a nice and lively atmosphere here and it is far superior to most other Greene King pubs i've visited. The drinks selection was very good and I was pleased to see they had Beavertown Neck Oil on the tap (superb beer).

Won’t miss much about Horsham but Matt and his team have been fabulous hosts everytime I’ve visited living in Horsham the past couple years. Will miss the baked sweet potato and great range of drinks. Bye Anchor!!

Been here lots, always good pub grub, flexibility with food requests if you're awkward like I am with food and one of the best selections of gin I've ever seen with accompanying offers. The staff are always friendly and accommodating and particularly with events and parties. The outside area needs a bit of a makeover however, it could be a lot nicer out back hence the 4/5 stars.

Until recently I'd only ever been in the Anchor to watch sports, but yesterday a group of us went in for lunch and I have to say that it was truly the best burger I've ever had and at a really good price too (I took advantage of the pint of IPA with a burger offer). Service was excellent too... Highly recommended.

Always on our circuit when we're out and about. Welcoming staff, dog friendly, great selection of beers/spirits and the monthly live music showcase is fantastic.

Friendly, vibrant and very well run. Great food with great service. The guy in charge (Matt???) never stopped behind the bar, serving food, clearing up, generally looking after everyone. And, all with a smile and witty repertoire! We all had a lovely evening.

Matt, Alex and the entire staff at the Anchor are AWESOME! The atmosphere, food, service is some of the best I've seen on either side of the Atlantic. It gets a bit load on Football days and in the evening but it's a pub! Greene King is the owner and so their local beers are on tap. The staff is young, full of spirit and energy. They are constantly asking if anything is needed or if there's issues. The last night I was there a young family were sitting just behind us and the little one year old was the staff favorite. In other words, the Anchor is family friendly! I can't recommend this wonderful old pub any higher!!! Thank You for making our UK visit so !
