An Nam Sushi Bar in Newport

We waited 45 minutes for our preorder, although it was it was a pre order booked the day before osaka set was what sushi was called after all the consumption i asked for a discount for so many mistakes they made the answer was negative we didnt keep the discount we asked for the bill which we couldnt pay. I wanted to pay by card, unfortunately there is no terminal. There was no message that only cash payment. I do not recommend this restaurant. This is my 2nd post on Google because the previous review from January 18, 2023 was deleted.

Received my sushi this week... I asked for grilled salmon and I received tempura nearly invisible piece of Salmon inside uramaki. I choosed masago, I received sezam. Prawn inside the rols with pieces of shels. Futomaki rolls looks more like hosomaki... Awful wasabi and the worse soy sauce I ever tasted. Only rice was good enough for me. Overall I spend nearly 40 Pounds for sushi which was worth maximum 15... You can buy better in Asda... I don't recommend.

Very fresh hand made good food. Very tasty food And very kind cook Service a lilltle long but so goooood. A must to go in Newport wales

Great sushi imaginatively put together beautifully presented. The standard of some of the fancy places in Covent Garden without the price. Consistently excellent. Can’t recommend enough.

My wife and I tried An Nam for dinner today, the restaurant is clean and decorated nicely. The food we ordered was prepared quickly and was presented beautifully, and I would say its the best Sushi I have tried to date. The chicken Gyoza were extremely tasty aswell. Only slight criticism I would have is that the restaurant was a bit chilly inside, but other than that it'd great and we will certainly be back.

The food was phenomenal. All the ingredients were so fresh and the food was well presented. Sashimi is so creamy and it just melts in the mouth. By far the best sushi I have had in Wales and in the UK!

Haven't tried a sit down sushi place in the U.K. before, and was a little put off by the prices when I saw this one open, my wife took me here as a birthday treat and she hit it out of the park. Great food bringing back memories of Asia, well presented and I thoroughly recommend eating in so you can see what others are also ordering to see if you may like to expand your order. The sashimi melts in the mouth.
