Pretty appalled with the apathy of the staff in the drive through Costa at the coldra roundabout……very lazy. This was my first time visiting the place and will not be going back. Hadn’t see my friend in a while so we were sitting inside. We turned up and it was quiet with only 4-5 tables taken. We ordered and sat at a table that had used cups/plates on it so we moved them over to the side on a table attached to ours (see pic) I ordered food and was told it would be a few minutes and they would call me when ready. No call after 20mins so went to the counter to be told they had called me twice……..they didn’t because I was listening out for them to call……I didn’t say anything. They put fresh food on for me and said they would bring it over. Brought it over with no napkin or cutlery so had to ask for those. I was there for 2 and a half hours with my friend and none of the staff came over to clear the table attached to us with dishes from the previous customers. Also as customers were leaving the tables were just left with their dishes. They were really quiet inside and the drive through was quiet. The 4 staff were only interested in standing around chatting. One member of staff came around and eventually cleared the tables after we had been there over an hour and a half but they left the dishes on the table attached to us. The staff gave the impression that doing their job was an inconvenience to them. The place needs a serious shake up. I expect more from Costa, very disappointed

A decently newish Costa, staff are friendly but regularly get drinks orders wrong, food is the same awful ultra processed factory crap dross that every Costa sells. Since the hotel next door opened the car park is simply awful, too small and with awful high kerbs at the entrance so say goodbye to your alloys

This costa is consistently good, they make good coffee and it's never hit and miss. It's a good location when enroute to various places. Friendly staff too.

Excellent team, excellent Costa branch!

Normally love this costa as staff are friendly and when I have sat in there has been a pleasant atmosphere. This morning however was very disappointing. Ordered a vanilla latte and there is not a trace of vanilla. This is not the first time either that I have paid extra for syrup and it has not been added to my drink. Better communication is needed between the staff member taking the order and the staff member making the order.

Main car park now completely taken over by building works for the new hotel so unusable. Attempted to park in the new overflow car park, no spaces as completely full of works vehicles, was just able to park in the small rear car park which I would normally avoid due to the large concrete divider on the entrance and exit which caused several vehicles to mount the kerb as it's too big. Will not be returning until building works are complete.

Costa is lovely and spacious , with friendly staff.

DO NOT try and use car park at rear of building - use drive through or car park opposite/front. Much too small and just watched cars mounting kerb trying to get out, it looks like they have fudged the dimensions and is much too small.

First visit to Costa @ Langstone, Newport . Very friendly + helpful staff,nice coffee. Will be returning in the future.

My favourite Costa. Lovely staff. Great accessible location. I go there most mornings for an hour. Sets me up for the rest of the day. A special thanks to Amy, manager. Always a smiling and welcoming.

Brilliant place to work from for a couple of hours, good coffee, good food, good WiFi and the occasional power socket. I use it a lot

Nice, new and airy space. The location is not pedestrian-friendly. The service was relaxed. Shame not to have had a choice of any salads for lunch. We had to cross a dual carriageway on foot from the McDonald’s car park where we were using the InstaVolt electric car charger. I’ve corrected the location on the map repeatedly, but the location isn't being updated. At the time of writing, the satellite photo shows the building in progress. I've included a screenshot photo showing the correct location with the red marker.

There was a lot of business people there with there laptops but the staff was more than welcoming with helping the customer and the service was polite and pleasant would definitely revisit in the future

Nice chilled atmosphere, staff very friendly and helpful, overall a good experience. Been here a few times now and it's been a good experience each time.

Usual Costa, experience. Not dog friendly so have to sit outside with the smokers if you dare to bring a dog. But handy if you're passing on the M4 and need coffee, or if Macdonald's next door is busy.

Nice new Costa. If you're approaching from the east on the A48, you'll need to go all the way around the motorway roundabout and double-back on yourself to get to it.

Painfully slow service when it was not even busy. Poor communication from staff. Systems not working.

This Costa is like a hidden gem! I had trouble locating it using Google Maps as it led me to the entrance of the highway with nothing in sight. Additionally, there isn't a large sign that's easily visible when driving around the big roundabout (although you'll spot the McDonald's sign). Thankfully, the kind lady at the shop was very patient and provided me with directions over the phone. The Costa Drive Thru is actually located across the street from McDonald's, and I was able to find it with her guidance. The two lovely barista ladies, one of whom helped me on the phone, prepared my iced hazelnut latte perfectly, and it was served nice and cold. Thank you for the excellent service, and I'll definitely be stopping by again soon since it's conveniently located on my way to work! XD

For someone on a diet, the choice is.... Packet of lentil crisps 90 calories. That is it! I suggest more choice for light snacks for dieters, possibly some fruit?? Or lower calorie cake items?? Otherwise our visit was very pleasant.

Used the drive-thru. Friendly staff and quick service. Coffee was good.

Always a pleasure to visit a Costa and this was not a disappointment. Staff were welcoming and helpful when making choices. We're happy to accept gift card in paper format as well as a card payment nothing phased anyone.

I went to Costa coffee drive thru but sat inside. There were quite a number of people having coffee. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service wS quick. Would recommend Costa coffee at Langstone to friends.

So so slow, not a good experience

Closes at 6 but won't let you sit down even when you get through the door at 5. Not great with a tired/hungry young family. Need to state "sitting in" hours somewhere if they are going to be so different from the published open hours.

Great facility and location. Despite an apparent abundance of staff on duty a number of tables were left with used cups and plates, and where tables were cleaned there was food rubbish on the floor. Needs focus and attention to detail.

Unable to make an oat milk cappuccino - after 2 dismal attempts asked for a refund.

We have visited here 4 times since it has opened, using the drive thru. Despite it being slow due to staff shortages the staff that are there have been polite, thorough, professional and surprisingly cheerful given the pressure they are under. We spoke to a young girl called Megan who was a pure delight. All businesses are struggling at the moment, a large percentage of the country doesn’t seem to want to work. We will continue to visit here and my Vanilla Latte was delicious!
