The cakes, biscuits, slices are mouth-watering. A lot of vegan options as well.. I was just disappointed that I couldn't plonk myself down and try one of everything! The staff are so lovely.

We visited for some cake but stayed for some delicious home made soup and a famous cheese scone. Absolutely delicious. We got some famous cake to take away too which was amazing. Super tasty. The service we got here was really friendly and you can tell they care about their customers. I also loved the meaning behind the name of the cafe, which made the visit all the more special. This place just has that something about it, a really nice feeling of love, home and nurture, as well as the service and delicious food. If we're ever in the area again, we will visit. Thank you x

Amy’s Place is truly a hidden gem on the Isle of Skye. The owners are extremely welcoming and make your visit feel special as soon as you enter the beautiful tea room they have created! The soup and coffees are delicious but the real winners are the indulgent and moreish cakes, all fresh and homemade. The array of different flavours are amazing and they also cater for different dietary requirements! Sweet souvenirs and gifts can also bought here along with various local handmade crafts. If ever you find yourself on the island this tearoom is a must visit. If I could give 5 bubbles + I would!!

Our fourth year coming here and cannot wait to be in the area again to visit . Our holidays to Skye are not complete without a visit to this beautiful little tearoom. Pumpkin soup and a cheesecake , washed down with the best coffee on Skye. All whilst soaking in the majesty of Bla Bheinn and Loch Slappin. Fabulous hosts , fabulous food , fabulous views . What more could you ask for ?

We came across Amy's Place whilst on our way back from Elgol. This is honestly the best cafe we have eaten in. The food is fabulous. I had Lime and Blueberry cake and hubby had Lentil and bacon soup with a warm cheese scone all lovely and eaten whilst looking out over the most gorgeous views. Just wish it wasn't 548 miles away from home!

Turned up early on a beautiful day heading to the Cuillins. They opened up before time to accommodate. Friendly and helpful and happy to chat. Cake choice difficult as all looked amazing. Best option is to buy different and share. Can't remember what we chose but delicious. Host took some outdoor pictures too. A must stop if in Skye.

What a delightful discovery! We were famished from a hike (Camasunary Walk) and couldn’t have been happier to have tea and soup in this cozy spot. It was also a lovely surprise to find several gluten-free options here ( part of our group has allergies). Highly enjoyed this impromptu stop!

Warm quiet friendly welcome delicious cakes great variety catering for gluten free and vegan. The luxury hot chocolate is a meal in itself. I had the parsnip and cumin soup which came with a complimentary cheese scone, both were out of this world.

What a superb place this is - warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean, cakes and scones to die for which taste as good as they look, and superlative views from the cafe and from the outdoor seating. Lots of crafts and edible goodies on display. A wide selection of drinks and savoury goodies too make this the ideal place to stop for a while. Don't miss it!

Sehr lecker Kaffee. Die Strecke dort hin lohnt sich. Auch die Lage ist unglaublich schön.

We came in search of delicious tea and cake with a view… and Amy’s Place ticked all the boxes… the sun even came out to allow us to sit outside with our dog (no dogs inside) to drink in the view Well worth the detour from the main road and bustle of Portree God selection of local crafts and products to browse and buy Tip. Go early in the day to get the full selection of cakes… they sell out fast!!

You will enjoy splendid views, great coffee and tea at Amy's Place. The cakes are just yummy and are more than worthy of a Hollywood handshake. The couple who run it are warm and friendly, the cafe clean, welcoming and not your usual run of the mill.

Our location was such that we always passed Amy’s Place on our way out for the day. Well we never passed it without stopping! (except on our last day when we had a 9-hour drive ahead, and the owners saw us and waved!) Alison and Mark are the most charming and welcoming couple you could wish to meet. They are welcoming, cheerful - and interested in their clientele. We could have chatted to them all day. Alison’s home-baked cakes are absolutely outstanding and it would be a crime not to sample them! One morning, we were the only British couple there - everyone else was from The Netherlands, Germany and the USA - that says a lot. Outstanding - we’ll be back. John and Daphne

We called in Amy’s Place for lunch. It was just lovely. The soup & cheese scones were just what we needed after a walk in wet weather. There was a great selection of cakes. We chose the yogurt topped flapjack. It was delicious. Amy’s Place is ran by a lovely, friendly couple. We could’ve chatted to them for hours! A great selection of gift ideas are available too. We’ll definitely return here on our next trip to the Isle of Skye.

We dropped in for a cup of coffee after a long walk. The coffee was very nice and although we didn’t have any cake they looked lovely. It was full inside so we sat outside. Mark was very friendly and chatty whilst he was making our coffee. 2 walkers outside were saying that he had filled their water bottles up which was very kind. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

We stayed at Taigh Ailean for our trip to Skye. We also had the opportunity to eat dinner there (Breakfast was included with our stay.) The dinner was so delicious! The view is lovely as you can see the loch from the windows of the bar. All the staff is fantastic and so friendly! I had a great dinner and I would describe it, but the menu changes to suit what is in season and available from the sea. Whatever you get, I guarantee it will be the best! Make sure you call ahead and get a reservation as it fills up quickly. I know that they also have live music, which would be great, but we didn't have any while we were there.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.

Your restaurant came highly recommended and the food and wine was absolutely superb. Unfortunately this is where the great experience ended as we have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant by the people serving us, to the point that we couldn't wait to pay the bill and leave! We were the first table in the evening at 5pm and were seated right by the bar but we struggled to get eye contact with the staff who were either chatting behind the bar or staring into space. At no point did they ask us if everything was ok or if we wanted another drink. We tried to engage them in some chatter when they served us but to no avail. I don't know if in someway we offended them but we really could not work out what we had done wrong to be treated this way. Unfortunately we will not be returning, which is a shame as the food is excellent. Fortunately our evening was not completely spoiled as a visit to the local community centre in Nairn found us invited to a Ceilidh and a very warm welcome and fun evening.
