My Wife and I called last night without a booking expecting it might be difficult as it was Saturday night........restaurant had nobody at all upstairs in the dining area, we were the first. The service was cracking but the food was only average unfortunately, not on our return list that’s for sure.

Ate here with family for a birthday last Saturday evening, we did book but there was no need to as unfortunately it was very empty upstairs for 7pm on a Saturday night! The restaurant looked nice enough but was very cold and completely lacking in any atmosphere! Staff were very poor and inexperienced with bringing us wrong orders despite being only us a group of four and another small table up there. Food was ok, very average and nothing special. Unfortunately we probably wouldn’t return and can’t say I’d recommend the restaurant, downstairs bar area is ok for a drink however.

We had a very warm welcome, excellent service, great pasta, wine, sweet and coffee here and at an extremely reasonable price. When back in the area we will definitely return to this eating house.

Visited here with a party of 12 for Mother’s Day. Fabulous, value for money set menu. Great selection for young and old. Presentation and quality of locally sourced food was excellent. Excellent service & staff too. Hidden gem of Frodsham. Will be back.

Had lunch here as a couple and couldn't fault it. Pizzas made with fresh dough in a proper stone baked oven (superb). Draught peroni which was excellent, and didn't go flat after 2 minutes. All reasonably priced and served by a very friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable young lady. We will definitely be calling in again when we are passing.

Recently had a fantastic meal of good Italian food at a private party in the upstairs restaurant. Staff were really friendly, efficient and helpful. Food was really tasty and well presented. The downstairs bar had a great atmosphere with live music and a late bar.

We went to Amore on a last minute Tuesday night thing, and we had the "Pizza / Pasta and a drink deal" that they advertised. This is the first time we had visited Amore, and was a little surprised for such a big place, there was only us 2 in! I didn't let this put us off though as the food was excellent, it was beautifully decorated inside, and the service was spot on. I believe this is more of a 'weekend haunt' but will definitely be returning.

We have visited twice - first time in October, then again in December. In October, I had my adult son with me and was very concerned as he has done a lot of work in Italy, and very much enjoyed authentic Italian food so I was worried Amore would not live up to his expectations. I could not have been more wrong, he loved the food which was freshly cooked and was excellent. Service was good too, efficient and unobtrusive. It was such a good experience that we decided to visit again as our family meal out for Christmas with my other son. The only negative was the lighting which was conspicuous by its absence. In December the experience could not have been more different. We visited on a Sunday, the staff refused to accommodate our time preference as they said they had a large table of 18 coming in at 7pm so we had to go much earlier than we wanted. They also said that it was a set menu on Sunday, not a la carte, we were happy to accept this as the food had been so good last time. In fact, it was a bad experience. We were the only people in the restaurant until 7 pm when two more people arrived, the large party did not arrive until 7.30. Service was appallingly slow and disinterested. The food was mediocre - mediocre to the extent that none of us wanted to bother with dessert. The only bright spot was the lighting which was fine this time and you could actually see!!! We will return but not on a Sunday.

Me and my boyfriend visited Wednesday evening before going the cinema. Had never been before so didnt know what to expect. The food and serive was some of the best ive had in a long while. We also used the tastecard..couldnt believe the price. Will 100% be returning with friends. I think the manager serves us..i cant remember his name sorry but he was great!

Ordered a cocktail and beer, I'm pretty sure the manager was telling the member of staff he had made my cocktail wrong... It wasnt great. The ladies facilties can't be often checked as 2 toilets where filthy. We visited on a Friday night the place was dead. Loads of seating.

Visited here as we’d been through most of the options on the tastecard...just sorry we hadn’t come sooner! Service was fantastic from start to finish from everyone who worked there. Ordered starters,main and dessert (sticky toffee pudding was amazing!) 50% off with tastecard so £15 each (3 of us) isn’t bad at all. Looks like they do offers in the daytime too. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning 😀

We called in whilst passing , they’ve got a great deal on mid week . Any pasta or pizza dish with a drink £10. Food was delicious and the guy that served us was really nice . Will definitely go back .

Every time we have eaten at Amoré we have received excellent service. Staff are very attentive and have always been brilliant with the children. The food has always been good, very traditional simple Italian dishes which are very well thought out and well presented. They provide an excellent value mid week deal which is £10 for any pizza or pasta with a glass of Prosecco or bottle of Peroni.

We were away for a few days and decided on an Italian meal to celebrate mothers 75th birthday. Went last night (31.07.18) and had a wonderful time. This restaurant IS the best one any of us have ever visited. Food was plentiful and full of taste, Full credit to their chef. The staff there were great and attentive. Nothing was too much for them, They not only attended to our every need (including cheese on a garlic pizza starter thing) but had a great sense of humour and could easily keep up with the banter. Thank you for a great meal etc. Mum had a great birthday.

Just had an amazing experience, fab food, great service and very affordable in nice surroundings. I'm daily intolerant, not a problem butter substituted with olive oil. Worth a visit, will return

Went last Tuesday with the wife for our anniversary. Not been for a few years and seems to have had a decent renovation since was last there. Wasn't too busy upstairs. Have to say the food was top notch and promptly served. Good service in a nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

We visited on a Friday night and there was only 1 other couple in there. I would rate as good but the chairs are absolute killers if u have a bad back. Along with tables which are too high for the chairs it is very uncomfortable. The food itself was very good and highly recommended but unless they buy some new furniture we won’t be returning unfortunately.

We popped in for some lunch and we were not disappointed! The quality of the food was very good, the décor was lovely, with pleasant staff and quick service - we were very early, late morning actually, and were the only people in so I couldn't comment on the atmosphere, but I would definitely visit again.

Fantastic food and great service nothing is too much trouble for the staff or chef. The pate is lovely and so is the steak and pepper sauce.I also highly recommend the Italian pastas.

The food was wonderful, the Stilton and pear tart yummy!!

On the first night we decided we wanted pasta. After a quick drive down the road we founds this place. Good pasta and a nice atmosphere with friendly staff.

I have lived in Frodsham for a number of years but this was the first time I had eaten at Amore. It never seemed to be very inviting as the restaurant is on the first floor and you can't tell from the outside what it's going to be like. However we fancied an Italian meal so thought we'd give it a go. What a great surprise! Although there were not many people eating (Friday night) the food was fabulous. I had a pizza and it was very authentic, just the right amount of topping and very well cooked. My partner had pasta and again, delicious. Cannot fault the food but the surroundings and ambiance needs to be improved. Staff were lovely too. Very reasonably priced.

Thursday night visit we were the only people in the whole place but in fairness restaurant is a lovely place to be wife had pasta I had pizza which were both nice,chips were awesome though!!! House red wine was good and peroni on tap.unusually we both had desert which were great, with a midweek taste card discount this was under fifty pounds! !!! Would recommend this place without hesitation

We had a lovely three course meal with friends, lots of choice, and staff were very helpful. Atmosphere was very quiet but as we were with friends we enjoyed the chance of a good catch up without intrusive music.

Very nice. We were at a private party upstairs, all very nice decor and furniture, but, drinks are very expensive, £4.40 for a pint of Peroni. Fosters £3.50 Beers were quite flat too, Hopefully Amore will look into this and get the beer sorted, really expensive for flat beer, and some of the Fosters tasted like washing up liquid. Dont know what the food is like as didn't eat here

My sister and I visited here for lunch on market day. The place was virtually empty so a bit concerned why. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. They didnt have our first choice for lunch so we decided to share cheese and biscuits and a pate starter with some chips. We couldnt have chosen better the food was beautifully presented the portions were huge and the pate and cheeses delicious. Our waitress was really lovely and it even with a couple of drinks very reasonable. The place looks very dark and a bit unwelcoming when you first come in but this couldnt be further from the truth. Highly recommended.

When I read the recent reviews I was a bit weary on coming but I'm glad I ignored them -- great food great location and fabulous staff couldn't fault this place and would definitely return !

Pizzas, to be fair were very nice. The only issue was the lack of doner meat on the pizzas, and one was ordered for pepperoni and cheese stuffed crust but there was only cheese. Apart from that, splendid.

It took a bit long to have the food(10minutes late) but the quality not disappointing at all. It would be nice if at the ribs which I ordered you would specify which kind they are(pork,lamb). Anyway per total will order again.

It's not the first time I order from this restaurant but this will probably be the last. The delivery went to another address and it came 20 mins later... the quality of the food wasn't up to scratch. It was all soggy and rubbery as it felt old. Bad food. Bad delivery. And bad service

Wouldn't bother. It is very uncomfortable and usually ahs the sound so loud that you can't have a decent conversation without shouting down other peoples ears.

I prefer a thinner crust, but pizza was over average. I recommend it.

Absolutely love the kebabs from D'amores... Hubby had the Kofti & loved it...my only complaint, is, the chips were cold....BUT.... its not really an issue.... because, they are hot usually & the rest of the food is lovely ... :)

The food was nothing special. It was packed in a really smelly paper. The delivery was late and I asked to call instead of knocking but they didn't even read the note...

The food we got was delicious but we were over charged and order was not correct. I asked for a lamb doner kebab and large mixed doner kebab and received a small and large lamb kebab none mixed. It is not possible to order chips on there own so we ordered chips in pitta and asked if we could leave out the pitta and get a coke zero as extra as we know chips are usually £1.99 we paid £2.50 for chips in pitta. We received Pepsi which no one drinks in our household and we was not told we was getting a substitute can of drink.

first and last experience. after 50 mins of waiting, the restaurant called us saying they were missing the main ingredient of our order ( which is chicken) . plus other 25 mins till we finally received. the food was cold but quite nice flavour.

Food took nearly half an hour longer than stated. They're a ten minute walk from my house. Some of the food cold and under cooked. No drink which I ordered and paid for, I even called to remind them to bring the drink.

Visited with a group of friends and family for birthday celebrations. Waitress was rude. We'd ordered 3 cocktails all the same however, when they arrived they tasted awful. My sister went up to order a cocktail and was told cocktails were not being served as they were busy. There was a few empty tables and 4 bar staff so I wouldn't say it was busy. I went up to order a drink the same waitress told me that they weren't serving cocktails and snatched the menu off me??!! She asked what else I wanted I said nothing if you're not willing to serve what's on the menu. She said fine and moved onto the next customer. Her attitude was disgusting. A few other people in our group commented on how rude she was. We will not be going back there.

I love this place and their pizzas always so nice and tasty

Food arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected which was a bonus, However, the food was bland. Admittedly, I had ordered a margarita pizza but there was no flavour to the sauce or cheese and the chips were chewy. Really good delivery time and friendly delivery guy but food wasn't all that.

Lovely food. We arrived early. The barman didn't seem well informed nor very quick at serving drinks. They had run out of fruit juice! Therefore on first impression we were worried that this disorganisation would be reflected in the standard of the food. Being a Wednesday night it was very quiet. We had the upstairs resturant to ourselves. Waitress lovely and attentive. Thankfully the upstairs ran much more efficiently but having said that it was very relaxed, which is great when you go out for food with kids. Gorgeous food but could do with more choice especially for children. Lovely puddings. I had garlic mushrooms, veg tart and sticky toffee pudding and would give it 10/10. An enjoyable night. A lovely place to go for a date night. Gorgeous Italian food, which was good quality and moderately priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, this restaurant accepts the Gourmet Society card and gives 50% off to members!Would recommend, will definitely eat here again!

Bugers were filth. Wings were ok - they are like the breaded kfc ones. Didn't order anything else. Delivery time was quick and the dude was friendly enough

Not bad for the price! The flaming pizza was tasty n spicy (could've done with a thinner base though) The lasagne was nice , but more like a spicy mince pie ( not the typical sweet one)

Surprisingly tasteless pizza. I'm not sure how its possible to make pizza this bland. Its not terrible, it just has almost no flavour and no smell either. Weird.

Food was burnt....no cheese on a pizza? Shocking.

Price seemed reasonable but the meat appeared to be processed flavoured something, but no real texture and wrong insipid flavour. Three different pizzas ordered and this comment applies to all of them.

Pizza was 'kebab shop' style so quite greasy and stodgy base. If this is the style you like then this would be ok.

The food is always great. but it was late and The deal on the website for buy 1 get 1 free didn't come through on the order and I had to get a refund through just eat. To me they were just a bit abrupt and in general very unapologetic about the mistakes and inconvenience

Food was all good apart from a missing item

Food arrived on time. Piping hot pizza with generous topping and delicious cheese stuffed crust. Hot wings were very hot and spicy, just the way we like them. Will definitely order again.

Lamb doner was cold so was the pizza and forgot my drink, will not be ordering again

They have amazing pizza's but were let down by they're chicken burger which was terrible. I would definitely recommend the pizza! Just as good as PizzaHut/Dominoes!

I asked for the deep crust pizza and it was a bit too deep. I will know better for next time.

You know what.......these guys make excellent food they are polite and will go above and beyond. Try the special kebab

Food was of edible standard incorrect drink was sent with my order order coke zero . Received diet Pepsi. Garlic bread that came with the meal wasn't very tasteful and a bit burnt. The pizza itself was alright. I enjoyed my Hawaiian pizza more than the spicy pizza . I would prefer a more generous amount of topping to coat my pizza with.

Thanks Amore for holding our family funeral. Lovely venue nice food especially the pizza and chips and all the staff for their hard work.

Order from here every week and they never disappoint!

Pizza was hot and spicy just like I like it. Fresh dough is a big plus for me and this place is very good. I've ordered from here a few times and they haven't disappointed. Great work guys!

Just had a great meal at this restaurant my wife talked me into Italian rather than IndianI had fish terrine to start my wife had cray fish saladBoth really good my terrine had a Bloody Mary dressing which was really tasty.For mains both had pasta mine with prawns and chorizo my wife's with tomatoes and smoked bacon.We were the only people in the place People are missing a trick I suppose it was Tuesday evening

Ordered 2nd time in 3 days and 3rd time overall. Chicken shish is excellent. They are a pizza place but their kebabs beat most kebab places. Try the kebabs.

No problems whatsoever. My second time ordering and was as good as the first. They might be a pizza joint but the chicken shish is the best locally and I live in E18 and have tried most kebab places. BBQ Chicken pizza was also nice!

My husband and I went to Amore for our anniversary meal, the staff were really friendly and service was great. The food was absolutely beautiful! Would definitely recommend!!!

Order was late. Called and was told the driver left 10 minutes ago. I live a minute's drive away. Driver turned up and said the delay was due to the order being wrong and he was also given many other orders to deliver. Due to this food was cold.

Went in a group of 10 on a Friday night. Only 2 other tables occupied- now I understand why! Bizarre decor, chairs uncomfy and at a funny height. Fire alarm went off during our meal- all a bit farcical? I had the chicken risotto and while the chicken was lovely, the risotto was not. Sadly I would not return.

Ordered a D' Amore Special Mixed Kebab but didn't receive Chicken Donner. All Shish meat was over cooked but Lamb Donner was nice.

Excellent service and cocktails, Rob the bar manager has a decent taste in music too! Always good for a late night drink or 5!

Unfortunately was very disappointed with the food and restaurant overall. Dusty tables, dirty glasses and cutlery. The food was OK....nothing special and very over priced. There also seemed to be 1 girl serving 18 of us the majority of the time for both food and drink. There was also really poor timing with the food order some people had finished mains whilst others were still waiting. Amore is great for a drink and a catch up downstairs but I won't be going back or recommending the restaurant.

It was late, driver didnt know where he was, pretty average pizza. Quite small, but was pretty cheap...

Very average. Pizza was deep pan which I wasn't expecting. Didn't particularly like it. Quite greasy and not cooked quite long enough, tasted a lot better after i'd had it in my over for another 10 minutes. Countering the point of a takeaway/delivered meal. Quarter pounder was nice, but too much random salad in it, cucumber and cabbage etc, belongs in a kebab. Chips were burnt and cold. Delivery driver was ok. £13 for a small pizza, quarter pounder, chips and a coke wasn't very good value. Wont use again.

Rather tasteless pizza. Chicken wings far too spicy hot. Garlic bread limp and very little garlic.
