Excellent chippy! It’s our new local and is a little cracker. The food is always cooked fresh, mainly due to how busy and popular it is. It’s a quaint Lincolnshire fish and chip shop that hasn’t changed in donkeys years, and to be honest they don’t need to because they do it so well. One of the best fish and chips we’ve had and the fact they deliver locally is just an added bonus. Highly recommend!

Excellent haddock n chips plus mushy peas bread n butter and mug of tea tonight at Ambridges! A great experience in Spilsby at this lovely chipper, highly recommended from all our family! Very reasonably priced and delicious, what more can you want?!

This place absolutely looks the part of a good fish and chip shop. Sadly, it really didn’t deliver. Our haddock was very thin and greasy, chips were greasy, pale and too soft, lacking any crispness or golden colour. All of it lacked salt and vinegar. Mushy peas were equally poor.

Disappointed. Sat in the restaurant they took the order, cold drink arrived with a saucer and spoon no hot drink took 40 minutes for hot drink to arrive, having to ask a different server. Meal arrived, with no sauce that had been ordered, the haddock had no taste, not up to the usual standard of this restaurant.

Always friendly and usually busy. Food is excellent and very well cooked. Skate is brilliant as are the fish patties.

A member of our party was gluten free. Reviews said they did gluten free food so thought would give them a try. Queued for 20 minutes to be then told they don't do gluten free fish and chips. Maybe as it was busy they just couldn't be bothered. Not impressed. 😡
