Stayed here for business on more than one occasion and the staff are all very welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent. The rooms are so spacious and the beds are so comfy clean and the staff really can’t do enough for you would recommend this very welcoming friendly place.I do travel a lot for business and stayed in a lot of different places and this is one of my favourites.

We had a lovely meal today in The Trap. It was fish Friday, so we had two fish and chips with gorgeous salad, homemade coleslaw, tar tar sauce, salad and mushy peas. Two meals for £15. The atmosphere was lovely, bar lady very pleasant, and we'll be going there again soon.

One foot long chilli dog with fries and coleslaw.Generous portion and reasonably priced at £9-95. The atmosphere was good. The staff were friendly and very attentive. I could not fault this visit. Friends also enjoyed their meals. Hunters chicken pictured here, priced £8-95.

This was very poor quality. The first time we had haddock it was tasty as was the chips. That was in June 2017. We returned in Sept 2017 and what a let down..the fish was bland the batter fell from the fish as it was not fried enough. Also considering that in Seahouses, Berwick and Alnwick many Scots ask for special haddock in bread crumbs makes the fish lovely...why can't Amble?

We stopped for my husband to take photos of the harbour but we found a group of small huts with stall selling crafts and other goods. I went in every single one what a fantastic find the goods were great came home with handmade chocolates a new handbag and other bits. Had a lovely time browsing hubby had to drag me away in the end I would have stayed for hours.

Been a few years since we visited Amble and we were pleasantly surprised at the work that had been done on the harbour. Illy an ice cream parlour fabulous, the biggest surprise of all is what from behind looked like beach cabins which in reality are cabins that sell a mixture of seaside resort goods they are brill. Go along and enjoy and support these little cabins keep them there. Go on bank holiday weekend when the lifeboat has a variety of events on goods for sale sea rescues and watch the puffins on camera it's always been something we have supported. It's a worthwhile cause that continues to need our help and support.

Warkworth has a small nucleus of great places to eat, and we'd never tried Bertrams, so we went. It was a no brainer given the quality of other reviews. The only downside was that we had to get in and out early so were nearly the first people in hence little "atmosphere" but that was our agenda not the restaurant, and we were there for the food... ... which was first class. Superb hake served with a beautiful herby crab pate and dauphinoise potatoes. The flavours were immense and everything was cooked to perfection. You notice the difference with real quality and top chef standards and this delivered for me. The lemon meringue dessert was the proverbial icing on the metaphorical cake. Superb.
