Amazing Thai Cafe in Nottingham

Worst Thai ever - hardly any meat. Curry’s didn’t turn up with any rice and when I phoned up, the lad on the phone said there was nothing he could do about it!!! Awful!

Went with my family to eat dinner. Very friendly staff and very clean restaurant. The menus have English descriptions of each dish which made it much easier to understand what I was ordering. I only ended up ordering 1 main with some extra protein but it was very fulling and absolutely delicious. My only regret is that I am in Nottingham for a special event and it will be unlikely I can come back to try more stuff.

This place look like closed permanently. Arrived 2.30pm.

the portion is nice and good although some stirfry can be too oily but thats fine. however what irks me so much is that their opening hours are so inconsistent, they put a sign on their door saying they are open from 12pm but when I came at 1, its still closed? why?? pls update ur info in google !!

Really great food. One of them best Thai food take away I've had. Spoke to them on the phone before ordering to ensure all items I ordered were vegetarian and they were really helpful to ensure this for me.

We ordered 4 dishes for two and it was sooo good. It was worth the wait. The owner was the cook and also the server. Definitely underrated and more people need to come. He was very nice aswell

Totally disappointing and we will not be reordering nor would we recommend. Absolutely shocking for £55. We ordered a chicken Pad Thai and beef massaman, the chicken was deep fried chicken, the beef was the same as you get in a beef curry from a Chinese. The ingredients was poor quality and did not taste like a Thai. It is a shame I can not upload photos to show.

Went on my Lunch break at work and it was great. Really friendly family run place. The food came out quickly and piping hot, spot on. If you're in the area, would recommend a visit!

Please avoid. Hairs in the food, really awful food quality, fish in the vegetarian tofu pad Thai. When we phoned up they put the phone down 2x and were very rude. Luckily Deliveroo refunded us the full amount. A ruined evening can not be refunded though!

The worst food I have ever eaten. Im not quite sure how this place has 4plus stars. Most dishes we found hair, the vegetarian dish had fish sauce in it, the curry was essentially flavoured water and when we rang to complain all the staff just hung up the phone on us. I do not recommend.

Ordered food via Hungry House - super happy with the food! Everything tasted great, definitely authentic (coming from a Thai person myself), and price was very good too!

The area was in a residential place so it was not as busy. The food presentation is great. The food was delicious and even our child enjoyed her food. The prices are affordable. We will surely come back and I will recommend the place.

Thai red curry was dreadful hardly any chicken and mainly green beans

Ordered thai chicken with holy basil. What I got was 5-6 small thin slices of chicken, couple of sprigs of basil and lots lots of beans. Disappointed. Menu didn’t even mention beans when the major portion of the dish was beans. I have tried this dish from many places but this beans version is a first. Definitely not worth the money.

Feels like Thai home food. Nothing too fancy, but cosy. Wide range of dishes, delicious at reasonable prices.

It was tasty and satisfying (i love that they do tofu!) but my food was nearly cold when I collected it, I was also disappointed at how tiny the corn cakes were when they were £7 for 4!

Got a wide selection of things from here the other day and every bit of it reminded me of being in Thailand. Great value for money, I'll definitely be back👍👍

I was at the Nottingham Tennis Centre and on the look out for somewhere to have lunch. A 10 min walk and I discovered this amazing Thai eatery! It's not flash or fancy but the Pad Thai with beef that I had was absolutely delicious! I will defo be back...

Very tasty authentic Thai. Quaint restaurant. Friendly swift service. The choo chee chicken was tongue sizzling spicy and very tasty. Beware of permit only parking in surrounding area. They kindly let us park for our lunch on their drive.

I really want to rave about it like I do the delivery but I can't. The noodles were all glooped together. Stuck together. Had to cut them with a knife and fork and the massaman was too salty for my liking.

It was worth the drive across town to enjoy very well prepared thai food. Sauces are authentic. Ambience feels just like after dark when in thailand the host might open their home to passers by and cook from their own home. It felt a privalige. Thank you

Been meaning to go to this place for a while, and was not disappointed when I finally did last night. We were greeted with a warm welcome on arrival. The food was delicious, so flavoursome and really tasty.

I used to love this place but 9 quid for 8 wings and chips is ridiculous 😒 they used to be a fiver big increase in price at a time when people are struggling 😠

My favourite food place for Thai cheap eats! I ordered the Glass Noodle Stir Fry and Green curry. They taste amazinggg, as good as remembered 3 years ago or EVEN BETTER! Comparable to the expensive Thai restaurant. They are currently making a renovation of the place so only about 10 seats available, 3 tables approximately. The owner was really friendly. I am contemplating to come again today! They are open from 12pm-9pm Monday-Sunday but close on Tuesday

I ordered kamangai that is Singapore style Thai menu with special cucumber garlic soup. It is always good!

Having read reviews we decided to give this place a go. Ordered via Deliveroo, and it was delivered on time. It’s from there that it all went downhill. Starter was small, overcook and cold. The ribs were very dry, tough and inedible. The salmon main was small, again burnt and cold. The other mains lacked vegetables which they should have had, the rice dishes looked grey and all lacked taste. I rang the restaurant and the owner was not interested in listening to me and laughed at my complaint. Luckily, deliveroo listen to my complaint. Please don’t waste your money by going here. Other, much better Thai takeaways locally.

Heading into the city seemed the logical choice, but I checked what was nearby and spotted 'The Amazing Thai Cafe'. Dunkirk has never struck me as a hotbed of quality cuisine, but I overcame skepticism and we went (especially as Thai cuisine is my favourite). Surroundings are homely and clean. Staff very friendly and our good was top notch! Authentic, extremely tasty and amazing value. It is always a buzz to find unexpected gems like this. It really is the amazing Thai Cafe!

We used to live down the road from this place and adored the food! Found them on Deliveroo tonight and couldn’t resist! Just as good as always and we will definitely be ordering again now we have rediscovered this place. 100% the best Thai food you will find in Nottingham.

The Thai dishes are delicious and authentic. The place is a little bit small so people have to sit close to each other. The owners are kind and friendly. The only problem I found here is not able to pay by card.

Buffet is very good. Even though it is expensive, it is worth it.

Authentic food but quality inconsistent

you have not give us our full meal and was extreamly rude on the phone. this service has been horrific and i will recommend to everyone to avoid eating here. the delivery also, was estimated at 7 latest and arived at 7:20 which has caused issue with our other plans. extreamly dissapointed.

The food is ok but the hygiene really is unacceptable

Firstly, don't let the exterior or the basic furnishings put you off this place. The food is simply cooked to perfection. We went for lunch on a Sunday, and there's a special fixed price menu - very good value - which includes a red or green curry, which were both utterly delicious and authentic. I would give this restaurant 5 stars, but the interior decoration could do with a bit of updating and the menus need wiping down to clear off stickiness. Otherwise, it was generally clean and tidy, and service was friendly. If you've forgotten your cash, there's no card option, but they let you pay by bank transfer.

Been here several times after finding it by accident. It is a real authentic Thai restaurant (having been to Thailand several times I know). Food is great and very tasty never been disappointed.

£8 for lunch set with 1 starter, main & a can of fizzy drink! Place is rather cramped and cluttered. They don't accept any card payments!

Great thai food and their poultry is halal

This is the one restaurant within a half mile of where we live, the food here is so good! We order eat in or take-away all the time, it’s become our comfort food (we’re students living here for a year). All the people we’ve brought to eat here love it. The owners always wave to us when we see them, and they remember our order when we come in (this probably speaks to how often we go, but it’s still nice to feel like a “local”). I always get the Suki Hang, my partner gets the Pud Thai BUT those that go outside that haven’t had a bad meal yet.

Takeaway ordered. Minced pork dish - pork not minced, greasy, far from advertised dish. "Thai wings" - badly fried chicken. Greasy, cold, far from what is advertised. Chicken satay skewers, clearly frozen and reheated. Gooey and disgusting. Awful, avoid at all costs, go to Zaap or Paste for proper Thai food!

Looks very untiday and unhealthy,kitchen floor was a mess. Wouldnt risk eating here.

One of the best places i eated.

I came to Amazing Thai as my father had been previously. Dining room is brilliant, restaurant appears to be family run. There are pictures of some of the food items located around the dining room and there is a cafe area around the front. You can bring your own booze as they only serve cold soft drinks. Furthermore, the only thing that I would improve would be parking around the area, as there is limited parking 9 to 5 on weekdays.

We have been to this particular place several times and everytime we have found it to be a genuinely awesome experience. The food is authentic and delicious and served in good time. The service is great and the owners are friendly. Highly recommended!

Amazing Thai cafe was just a local restaurant on the door steps of my rented house and after trying Thai food at Thaikun (see review) i was let down. I ordered a redang curry, some fried tofu, whereas my friend ordered some noodles. Upon arrival we were greeted by a young kid and mother which suggested it was a family run restaurant which personally for me, felt quite welcoming. After being greeted we were given our food and provided with complimentary banana fritters. The curries sauce was lukewarm and tasty however the chicken was tough and the tofu smelt fishy. Whether the food had been sitting out for a while or the chicken was pre-made and reused. Me and my friend ended up with food poisoning and being bed bound for the rest of the evening. Food wise i would not recommend trying and this is quite disappointing considering how authentic the place looks and the atmosphere it delivers upon arrival.

Fantastic food, I cannot recommend this place more. 😁
