The best Greek coffee shop you will ever visit!! One of the loveliest shops I have ever visited not only their food and desserts were delicious but their service too!! The welcoming from the people that run this place is amazing!! Not only they make you feel at home but they also make you a part of their family❤️ Very warm place with beautiful designs and family pictures on the wall ❤️ I cannot describe enough how amazing their Greek pastries, hot food, salads, sandwiches and Greek desserts are!! If you ever visit this GEM you should try Spinach and Feta pastry with a portion of Greek salad on the side that you can accompany it with a Greek glass of wine (just amazing and divine🤤) !! I am looking forward for my next visit ❤️

The best greek coffee shop ever! With the most authentic greek food and drinks!! Very lovely staff , always smiley and welcoming, it feels like your back in Greece🫠 Very clean and tidy inside , it feels very cozy and friendly, everyone welcomes you as if you're in your home ❤️ I would recommend this place 100% if you want to eat and drink good quality, their coffee is absolutely amazing , is the best coffee I have had in Canterbury!! Food was lovely and the desserts were absolutely delicious 🤤 I would recommend to go on Weekends for hot food , which is homemade and you must accompany it with a glass of greek wine! Loved the cakes , lots to choose from and they surely fit any appetite 🤤🤤 If you want to try their savoury pastries you should accompany it with a greek salad on the side! If you are a pistachio and chocolate lover you should have their stuffed croissants , they are devouring 🤤A must try is their baklava with gelato just yum like any other dessert! We also loved their bubble waffles , very fresh and flavourful with your favourite gelato on top , I just basically recommend EVERYTHING they offer, they are all a must😆, Will be back for sure!❤️

Went in yesterday around 1 o'clock a long line of people near the till waiting to order too slow there's enough staff it shouldn't be a problem very basic food warm pastries in a warm cabinet on the counter a good selection of coffee's but if you have a big appetite there's not a lot of big portion of food to choose from its basically cakes 🍰

This is a lovely little cafe near the centre of Canterbury and is beautifully decorated which makes a visit even more worth it. The choice of sweet things to have is amazing, we decided on baklava, one was filled with soft apple , was warm and was delicious. Everyone is very friendly and we will be back when we next visit Canterbury.

Very disappointed they don't allow dogs in, especially as there is no clear signage when entering the cafe and we were only notified after placing our order. This meant we had to enjoy our (average) coffee outside facing a busy street, which we wouldn't have opted for if we were notified they don't allow dogs before ordering.

When Amalis opened in Canterbury, we found a place with not only amazing food, but also the best customer service in the whole town by far. It is the most clean and friendly place I've ever been and you can have all types of food - breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. If you haven't tried spanakopita with a fredo espresso or fredo cappuccino, or a plater with wine, then you are missing out! Weekends are also special because the owner, Irena, is cooking greek traditional food such as moussaka, pastitsio, yemista, yuvetsi, etc! Amalis team, thank you for brining original greek tastes in Canterbury! So grateful you are here!

I figured out this amazing little gem outside of the rocky walls of Canterbury town with the help of my colleagues , Nearly all of my colleagues had recommended me this place , although I had already heard very good words about this place so I decided last week to pay a visit. I didn't regret any second of being in there , I don't know what to first recommend the pastries which also one of their staff member recommended to me to try it with their greek salad, all I must say about the salad is that it was very fresh (they prepared it that exact moment) and so flavourful which I had it with spinach & feta pie!! But I couldn't resist to not try their gorgeous desserts. I had their bubble waffle , and the gelato they had was one of the best I had ever tried in Canterbury , which I accompanied it with a cup of coffee, the coffee was very flavourful and didn't disappoint me as I had the exact same coffee brand in my holidays in Italy. Also I took a selection of biscuits from they're big and full of tasty , colourful biscuit cupboard. Lastly I want to say that the staff and the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming it felt like I was back at home with my yiayia 🥹 another thing that surprised me was how clean the whole shop and the toilets was😲😲 I FOR SURE WILL RETURN BACK!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND ALSO IF YOU WANT TO HAVE REAL GREEK FOOD‼️‼️‼️

I dropped in here by chance, while waiting for check in at the nearby Chaucer Travelodge, where I was to stay in the city a week. The cafe is right on the busy, noisy ring road, outside the city walls, so its position isn't typical of the many cafes in the city, which cluster in the quiet, pedestrianised, historical centre. But I'd fortuitously struck gold. This Greek gem serves that lovely, smoky, bitter style of coffee which is my favourite drunk black. They also do the most amazing cakes and pastries. So I came back several times during my stay in the hotel. The perfect quality and temperature of the coffee was consistent. And I balanced its tang with the sweet goodies on display, such as the baklavas and other sweet offerings, of which I've forgotten the names. Fortunately, I needed the calories--this place could seriously undo someone on a diet! And despite the noisy road alongside, Amalis proved such a relaxing haven. Unlike the more central cafes, it was never rammed or hectic. They have plenty of seats, tables, and bench tops set in elegant, peaceful surroundings. The staff, who included a pair of twins, were somewhat serious and stiff; but they noticed I was returning and offered me a loyalty card. When a customer comes back, you know you're doing things right.

I have been here a few times since discovering this gem a couple of months ago. Excellent, freshly made food and cakes. Greek inspired cuisine. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Fresh and modern interiors, even the customer toilets are spotless. I won't go anywhere else for a long time for my Canterbury meet ups.

This place is amazing if you want authentic Greek food and drinks. It's the only place I've found so far in the area that does proper Freddo Cappuccinos. The pastries is so tasty and warmed for you and they have a really nice selection too. They also have an extensive range of Greek desserts, especially baklava. The staff are always so lovely and its also such a cutely decorated place. It blows the other cafes in Canterbury out of the water.

I hadn't visited Canterbury in 5 years and popped into the new cafe on a whim. It is busy whenever I walk past, for good reason! The cake I tried is delicious, ive never had Greek pastries before aside from Baklava and it was so good. Brilliant strong coffee. Kind staff.

Just attended their fine dinning night. Again the food was exceptional, who would have thought that a plant based meal could possibly be this good. My meat eating friends were overwhelmed by such a sensational meal , such incredible tasting food and would definitely go again and again. The Wallflower deserves to be full of customers every day. Don't miss out, this place is something not to be missed. The staff were brilliant as usual. Thank you, we look forward to the next special evening.

Always one if my first stops when visiting Whitstable. Joy’s food always hits the spot. Her food is fresh, outstanding quality and the taste rates as 5 ⭐️ The Thai fish cakes and pad Thai are perfection, stop by and grab a bite.

I visited Saucy Flo's with my wife on one of it's steak nights. We both had the Galican fillet and I can honestly say it was the best steak I have ever eaten. The quality of the local produce is amazing and coupled with the reasonable price, it just can't be beaten. It's rare to get such a great standard of food and good portions too. The waiting staff were so friendly and there was a lovely informal atmosphere. But the star of the show was definitely the food! We just about had enough room for puddings and managed to squeeze in a peach and blackberry cobbler and a chocolate brownie and both were delicious. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
