Really nice coffee (flat whites); our best local coffee (stayed in Whitstable for a long weekend). V friendly host, too. Will certainly return when we're next in Whitstable and would definitely recommend.

We stopped off here to shelter from the rain whilst on a bike ride and decided to get an early lunch. Great idea and great luck. The food was excellent (I had the grilled cheese and marmite on sourdough) and the coffee perfect. My friend is a VERY fussy flat white fan and he had two! Can’t fault this place - lovely atmosphere, quirky decoration and the woman who served us was super friendly.

Staff are friendly and the coffee is lovely; but the food is overpriced, even for Whitstable and the portion size is pathetic. Don't go if you're hungry as you still will be afterwards. Fine for a coffee but would give it a miss otherwise.

We try and visit Whitstable at least once a year and are always keen to explore new places to eat - this year, it was The Larder and we had a really lovely experience. This is a very nicely presented café/deli, full of character and style, with the most charming and delightful of hosts. We were greeted very warmly and were lucky to be shown to a table immediately, even though the café was busy. We had a small carafe of the house white wine and we ordered the sourdough toasted sandwiches, one with cheese and ham, one with cheese and kimchi, both absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend The Larder if you are looking for a really tasty, good quality sandwich for brunch or lunch.

We are so happy to have found this gem of a shop. We had a few coffees here this week. We’ve been to Whitstable many times and have never found a really good coffee. Each one of our coffee’s were perfectly made, full of flavour and as smooth as velvet to drink. We bought some items off the shelves including the most delicious olives ever. I bought a takeaway lunch one day which was a scrumptious frittata and side salad. The drinks and food sold here are of very high quality. Even just perusing the shelves was a joy. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. They’ve got everything right here. We can’t wait to come back.

Small shop front but supplies freshly cooked food with big taste. Whilst walking through the town we saw this modest shop front, which promised a good menu, we were not disappointed. Mozzarella tomato and pesto baguette, I had toasted cheese and ham sandwich, cooked to order and piping how. Some very interesting soft drinks. Well worth a stop and support of locals and tourists alike

This is hands down the best coffee shop in Whitstable. Love their coffee, the sandwiches are amazing and be sure to save some space for cake. I had the gluten free orange and almond cake and it was out of this world. They also sell a variety of products like jams, wines, etc. I was particularly impressed with the Portuguese Ucal chocolate milk that reminded me of my childhood!

My mom and I were visiting Whitstable for a day and of all the locations in town to choose from, we ended up at The Larder for a cup of coffee! Best choice we made. :) Cosy atmosphere, friendly and welcoming owner with a passion for the products his sells and of course great coffee!!! We got a Belgian Lotus Biscoff cookie with the coffee which was very funny to us Belgians seeing we eat them every day;) so we decided to go for a cookie of the house and the chocolate/hazelnut one was the perfect match with the coffee. We give The Larder 5 stars (points;))😉👍

The best coffee in Whitstable! I love an oat milk latte and they deliver! A good size with fantastic coffee of which they pride themselves on. Also a great iced coffee. Whilst not providing the usual “fry up etc” sort of breakfast (plenty of other places to go for that!), The pantry serves its food with panache and attention to detail. Croissants and coffee are on the menu but also is the most amazing, toasted cheese and onion sandwich using fresh sourdough bread. Sounds easy, but once you have tried one of these, anything else is just a poor imitation of a thing called a sandwich. Coffee was fresh and a good blend, obviously chosen with care. Good selection of other foodstuffs to buy, enjoy perusing them, whilst waiting for your sandwich, you won’t be disappointed, Unless of course your taste buds are shot away, if so stick to the fry up! You will note that I tend to only review good places, that is because I want them to survive, I just do not go back to anywhere that is not good. Hence I am only too pleased to let others know about this "find".

The Larder Whitstable cafe/deli offers the warmest welcome together with top quality service, great products and seriously tasty food. We opted for a toasted cheese sandwich with a slightly spicy chutney. Crispy oozy with cheese and lifted to another level by a spicy chutney. The tea and iced coffee were exemplary, however the star of the show was an amazing orange and almond cake, moist yet light and totally delicious. The deli also had some wonderful products, we talked with owner about a Jordanian and a Greek olive oil and could not decide. To out delight we were offered a sample of the Jordon olive oil to try. It was peppery and slightly spicy, delicious and one to take home! Clearly the Larder cares about its Ingredients and their province well worth a visit five stars!!

I have not used this chippy for many years but, gave it a try tonight (Friday) early evening after a seafront walk.. I was 3rd in line to be served but waited 25 minutes for 1 portion of fish and chips! It was very greasy, especially the fish, and the chips were quite bitty. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy it on this occasion.

Best lunch ever! I eat regularly at Toast and cannot recommend them enough. I love it when they have Greek stuff on the menu, especially the Rosto. I also love the chilli bowl. The servings are generous and the attention to detail is really impressive for a cafe. Everyone raves about the crispy cheese on their sandwiches for example! Not only is the food great but the staff are really lovely and accommodating.

A taste of Latin America in this iconic park of Central Canterbury. Great coffee and food (especially its “parrilla”). Cheerful atmosphere (including life music) and fantastic customer care. Ideal for a sunny day, but also cosy in the winter with heaters and sometimes a toasty fire!
