The food was average, the service was okay and we were the only customers in the restaurant on a Monday evening.

Been a customer of Alounak Reaturant for over 20 years and I can say this place has only improved more and more every year and it’s an iconic Persian restaurant in heart of London with excellent high quality Persian food and great staff friends polite and knowledgeable and above all fantastic Manager Roya.

The service, the Staff’s and the food are amazing really enjoyed coming here to eat, if you are looking for a nice place to eat an Iranian cuisine , this is the best place you can find.

I have been to Alounak in Kensington many times it’s an amazing place and the food is great. I love all the dishes from the starter to the main courses. The manager and her team are wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant for best Persian food. It’s one of the oldest Persian restaurants in London a must visit if you love Persian cuisine Aftab Ebrahim

Food was incredible, restaurant personnel outstanding. A little hidden gem and well worth visiting later in the evening or during the day, you will get wonderful treatment at any time of the day.

“I visited Alounak Kensington (Olympia) with my friends on Sunday afternoon, hoping to have a great experience and enjoy some good food after a long day. Unfortunately, we had an awful experience. The dishes were expensive and poorly presented, and the food was cold, stale, and of very bad quality. A few of us ordered kabab barg, but the grilled meat was discoloured, super cold, burned on one side, and looked more like a leftover that had been warmed up after storing for a few days in the fridge. The rice was tasteless and cold, so I couldn’t even eat the food. The service was generally bad, and the place was very quiet, which is not a big surprise after what we experienced. No one even checked on us after serving the dishes to see if anything was missing or if we were happy with our dishes. The worst thing is that I ended up with a very bad food poisoning the same night, which ruined my Sunday. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Don’t waste your money on poisonous food, horrible vibes, and poor service of this restaurant.”

I had an amazing experience here. We celebrated my brother's graduation with 15 people. The volume was handled graciously by the amazing staff. We all loved our food. Definitely recommend the kebabs.

We went around 5pm on a Friday which ended up being peaceful and relaxing- especially with how beautiful their interior is. We was then greeted by the sweetest lady who accommodated to us throughout our whole visit. It was our first time trying our Iranian food and honestly speaking it was genuinely one of the best restaurants we have ever visited to, considering I visit a lot of restaurants quite often too. Their salad oliveh and mixed kebab is something you need to order when visiting here. You can tell everything is made fresh and they are using high quality ingredients. Their meat and chicken was so juicy and flavourful that we didn’t even need any sauces to compliment the food. Their rice is so fluffy and filled with a lot of flavour which is surprising because you don’t get that from rice and overall their food was that amazing me and my partner wanted to order more but we got so full. Definitely a must visit!

Came to this place after I saw it on TikTok. Around about a 15 min walk from the Shepherd’s Bush station. I ordered the platter for 2. It tasted amazing, very flavourful and overall service was good. I really reccomend this place as it’s a hidden gem in London.

Used to be one our favourite and go to Iranian restaurants. Ambience is nice however, prices have risen astronomically and things like berries that used to be on rice meal platters are extra add on for £6!! The quality and portions sizes have also dipped. Definitely exploiting the cost of living crisis. Very disappointed!!

Decent food. A bit pricey but that’s what you get in this area. Food made fresh. You’ll spend about £30 per head maybe more depending on what you get I’ll be coming back!

Terrible service and very bad hospitality. I think the waitress didn’t have a clue about serving customers. Food quality was awful and expensive. Avoid this restaurant at all costs it’s a rip off.

The food was delicious and the welcome was more than wonderful. The service was excellent and the smiles never leave anyone who works at the restaurant . I thank Mr. Haider for his good manners and personality, and Ms. Roya is also beautiful in her ethics and dealings. The best thing they have is tea after dinner. I hope to visit the place again and again.

Went there with a friend for an early dinner Ordered 1 Houmous , 1 Aubergine, 2 Joojeh Boneless and 2 waters The Houmous was very dry and could feel the tahini not mixed enough The aubergine very cold and felt like rotten Then came the Joojeh boneless ( Chicken) The chicken was raw and the rice tasteless We asked for the bill came at £ 90.00 a shock They have charged 2 screws of chicken for £ 35.00 although it is £ 17.00 in the menu ( any 1 screw of chicken is only worth £2 in any Arabic Meat Shop) Avoid at all cost.

This is a fake replica of another restaurant with the same name in westbound grove Go to the original one , food is tastier, bread is baked fresh and most importantly you save tens of pounds too

We have been visiting Alounak for many years and were thrilled when we discovered them on deliveroo. The last few times the quality has been steadily deteriorating - the meat (mince kebab) is fattier and less tasty, but we have persisted because we used to enjoy the kebab so much. Last night, the lamb fillet didn’t taste right - others didn’t eat it but I trusted Alounak and went ahead - and last night was up with food poisoning. So gutted but will not be ordering again - not sure if it could have been because they were so busy on a Saturday night There was also a mistake with our order (we were sent mix grill instead of two skewers of mince kebab) - and I called to ask if could be sent and the mince kebab which is what we wanted, and the staff were very kind and offered a free kebab next order. But I don’t think I’ll be taking up the offer now.

Very lovely owner was very polite and gave great service, allowed me to use their phone charger as my phone was dead and had a very nice chat. Food was excellent and portions were big, I would definitely go back

I don't think there is a worse restaurant in the whole world. Very quiet on a Friday evening, tasteless expensive food. Waiters speaking loudly giving instructions to kitchen staff on radio. So unprofessional from start to finish. Hated it.

First time visiting this place today and it did not disappoint. The kebabs where juicy and tasty might have to go back tomorrow

The restaurant looks very nice inside, but the food wasn't great, it lacked any flavour. We were served one portion of burnt and one portion of stale bread. Service was very poor too, almost 45 minutes for two simple dishes. I would not recommend this place, try elsewhere. Parking nearby is difficult.
