Delicious food for a delighful dinner

Super tasty food at short notice after a show in the Royal Albert. 100% recommend for the wonderful understated and polite service and the great food.

Went there with 4 people, it was not too busy - we got a table without reservation. Food and service were quick, and we found out soon why: they wanted us out as soon as possible. Plates were cleared whilst one person was still eating, followed by request for payment. Only when we asked to be given a bit more time they backed off - especially as the table next to not rushed in the same way. Further, I don't get the positive reviews: the food was bland and the chicken dry. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Varieties of food, however many menu items are not available. I found it a bit pricey but the taste was nice and well cooked. Service was fast, waiters are very professional but the water glasses were not as shiny as it should

We love this restaurant. The food is delicious. We dined here on our last trip to London. We loved and wanted to return but couldn’t remember the name. After searching each restaurant, we found it. Khans of Kensington didn’t disappoint. The Tika was divine! We will continue to come here every time we visit London!

I booked this place as was staying in Kensington for a weekend in london and it was near our hotel 10 mins walk. Absolutely beautiful authentic place. Food is a 10/10 butter chicken and lamb achari curry was beautiful the meat melted. Very reasonable for the money. The service was fabulous, attentive but didn't bother you. There when you needed them. 10/10 a must if in Kensington

This my first time in London and I heard that the Indian food was very good. As an enjoyer of Indian food I felt that this place could be a place I come back to every time I visit the city. The butter chicken and bengal fish are both curries that I loved and thoroughly recommend. The biryani was flavorful and the tandoori mixed grill gave a variety of different meats that we could try. We wanted to try another curry and our waiter recommended the Rogan Josh which we loved. The naan was also delicious and would recommend to anyone going to London!

Its a waste of money the food was rubbish. The service was poor and they were very eager for us to leave the table as soon as the meal finished and I know for sure I don’t take long to eat. I was done in 20 minutes. I will never be going back or sending any of my friends or family to dislocation or their restaurants again, awful service poor food overall rating zero 0

Reciews do not reflect the food and drink quality. Ordered mango lassi, and it tasted fermented fruit, not like the ones I had before, did not taste fresh fruit. Food chicken murg korma was tasteless, for below expectations. I am totally disappointed and quality far below expectations.

Ate here late in the evening and got a seat straight away. Given the positive reviews, expectations were high, but it turned out that at the end of the meal the guests were asked to write a review (which I don't think is a bad thing). There were many waiters trying to take orders. The ambience of the restaurant is still mediocre to bad. The toilets in the basement looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time, with very visible traces of dust and other marks (my friend even reported a cockroach). The food was what you would expect from a mediocre Indian, normal presentation and dry roti. The meat was still tender and everything was edible, tasty, nothing stood out very positively or negatively. In terms of price, this restaurant can be placed in a standard London price range. I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an Indian restaurant near South Kensington underground station. Not for anything else.

Khans of Kensington was probably one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to. Really reasonably priced for London! We got the Butter Chicken and Saag Aloo and it fed my sister, nephew and I.The worker Ahmed was very polite and amazing- he was running the restaurant by himself! He gave my nephew a free ice cream and toy. We are so happy with our visit and will definitely be back. Thank you again Ahmed.

We were really looking forward to eating some Indian food on our trip to London and this place did not disappoint! The food was excellent and the service was really friendly. The chicken Jalfrezi is so delicious! Would definitely recommend this spot to other travelers.

I ate lunch here while in town and found the food to be very well seasoned and delicious. Will definitely return. The only thing that was off about this restaurant, was why they didn't serve alcohol. I asked them about that twice, and did not get a coherent answer from them. It was quite odd, because I really wanted a red wine with my lamb entree.

Very good, and not overly expensive

Esta fue una de nuestras comidas favoritas durante nuestra estancia en Londres. Con dos niños tendemos a pedir muchas etiquetas antiguas y todas eran fantásticas. Esperemos que la próxima vez mi esposa y yo podremos explorar el menú un poco más, pero todo el mundo era fantástico.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Vom Hühnchen, über Gemüsebällchen, bis hin zum Naan war alles top frisch und warm. Abgerundet mit einem netten Service und einer angenehmen Atmosphäre machte es alles in allen zu einem perfekten Erlebnis.

The food was very good. From the chicken to the vegetable balls to the naan, everything was fresh and hot. The friendly service and pleasant atmosphere made it a perfect experience. Unfortunately, alcohol was not available for some reason.

The food was yummy and quick service

The food tastes great, but the portions are small and rice needs to be ordered srparately. Items ordered were mistakenly forgotten. There is a minimum charge of 18£ per person. It's not a big deal as prices are around this range, but it is good to know.

I was at the restaurant around 12pm. One of the staff came and told me that they will open at 12:30pm. At 12:15pm, the staff came out again and asked me if I had a reservation. I told him that we didn't and can I make one. The staff told me that the restaurant will be full even though it didn't have anyone inside it.

Very fast service. The food was tasty and very well made. The atmosphere was nice and friendly and the waitstaff has been very helpful.

This restaurant was amazing!!!! 💖 we had butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, paneer, naan (garlic and cheese) and pappadoms. Everything was great and fragrant. Would 100% go back again. Unfortunately forgot to take pictures cause we dug straight into the food :p but wonderful.

i really recommend this place but you should know that is rather busy and it might be difficult to find a table, obviously because it is so good. we tried a lot of plates and they were all delicious. the only thing i would say is that they were not well organized with taking orders because when we ordered two more nans they gave them to another table, but soon they brought us another one.

very nice and typical, the waiters are kind even if not all of them know English well and therefore you have to be careful when they speak. the food was really excellent and pleasant. defects: the water costs a little more than normal 2 waters £9... they got an order wrong and took it to another table, then they corrected themselves and served us the requested dish, so no problem.

The food had a slightly sweet taste and lacked salt, which made the flavors feel a bit unbalanced. It could have used a little more seasoning. The restaurant’s design feels outdated and could use a refresh. The atmosphere was decent, and the service was fine, but the overall experience didn’t quite meet expectations.

Quality is getting a bit worse - the murg tikka which in the past was impeccable this time was dry and a bit heavy, the murg tikka masala and naan were OK but nothing special. The price was more competitive before given thr quality
