Khan's of Kensington in Kensington and Chelsea

My husband and I first came to Khans of Kensington last year while on a trip to London. The chicken tikka masala was hands down the best we have ever tried, so when we came back to London this year, Khans of Kensington was the first place we came to!! The chicken tikka masala was amazing still!! Strongly recommend!!

Just arrived in London and this was our top pick for dinner. We were not disappointed! Extremely courteous and quick service, food was excellent (not as spicy as we expected either). Excellent value.

Lovely service. Mouthwatering dishes. Warm tandoori naans were delicious after a cold rainy day!

Great restaurant! We visited at 10pm and Ahmed was quick to give us a table, offer great recommendations and even change the music to a Bengali selection for us as we were the only customers there so late. It’s great to see a central London restaurant operating with an alcohol-free menu. Their wine list consists only of 0% alcohol alternatives - great for anyone avoiding alcohol for religious or personal reasons. Will be back soon!

Great food and great service by our waiter Ahmed

Great food, absolutely loved every bite of it. Naan breads were delicious, chicken very well prepared and toasted in seasoning, which was cooked to the perfection. Rice steamed up and sauces were perfectly blended with all of them spices. Must go if you live Indian food.

Horrible food and price, the first dish cost around 13 pounds and got only 4 chicken pieces, they tasted like expired chicken and are badly cooked. The second dish is horrible as well, there are hardly any lamb in the dish, I ordered medium spicy and it is not spicy at all. Rice is overpriced compared to other Indian restaurants.(4.5 pounds for a tiny portion). Finally, when we told the waiter to split the bill he could not even calculate properly, almost charged us the wrong price, we had to use a calculator to calculate the bill for him.

The food is delicious and delicious, and the employee Ahmed was very kind to us. I recommend visiting only one branch 👏🏼

For the Gulf people, do not miss this restaurant’s food and service. Special thanks to Ahmed. His treatment is very classy and the prices are reasonable.

All good, food pretty good, the staff were absolutely perfect but quite insistent on putting an advice but I understand this what make me choose this restaurant. So if you want to eat Indian at all price’s this is where you have to go !

Amazing customer service and great food! Ahmed is very nice and friendly.

The food was lacking in flavor and had a very watery consistency. One of our plates was dirty and the waiter rolled his eyes before using a napkin to rub the food splatter off. We also found two flies in two separate water glasses.

This is nothing like Khans in Bayswater 🤦🏻‍♀️ Completely different very bad experience not my type of experience I expected it to be better than Khans Queensway very bland and not fresh seasoning was not seasoning 😭

Tandoori murgh had bbq sauce on it Tandoori chicken seemed similar Balti gosh was boiled lamd with mediocre sauce Zeera aloo, dal tarka was good Tandoori roti, garlic naan and regular naan were ok Service very spotty. Waited 10 minutes for my server to order. Drinks came in different waves for all people at my table. Seated next to kitchen- looked haphazard

Our 3rd day in London and we were wiped from a day touring The Cotswold and stumbled into this little gem hungry and hopeful for a lovely evening. We were beyond delighted and our expectations were met and then some. The butter chicken was delightful, rich and creamy with balanced spicy tomato sauce. The naan and rice were divine as was the pepper shrimp tandoori. The highlight of the evening was the thoughtful and genuine care provided by Ahmed our server, attentive and kind. We cannot recommend this place enough. What a lovely casual dining experience set in warm and cozy environment. This place as you say here, is brilliant!!!!

Lovely local place we dined in. The food so fresh and staff so welcoming! My husband LOVED the lamb, I had mixed tandoori (chicken,lamb)so I had best of both worlds, daughter ordered Dahl and butter chicken. We shared our dishes. Naan was so good! Daughters loved the mango lassi. Don’t miss this place, you’ll love it!

A very nice place with Indian cuisine. Enjoyed green curry and butter chicken, served with rice and parotha. Stuff was extremely friendly as well, asked if we enjoyed the food and helped in selecting dishes.

This place was so good! I came to London hoping to have delicious Indian food and khans delivered!! The food came out quickly and the service was amazing! Good recommendations from the staff. We had the butter chicken with naan and rice and daal lentils they were all 10/10

Family-owned restaurant vibes, great service, and mouth-watering food They don’t serve alcoholic drinks, so we both enjoyed mango juice. The sweet mango juice paired perfectly with our spicy and savory dishes. The butter chicken was more tomatoey than buttery, and it was quite literally bangin’! The chili paneer appetizer was excellent. The chili paneer sauce was light and sweet and savory, with a generous amount of heat. The samosas were solid, but I wish they’d been served with tamarind sauce and cilantro chutney, The yellow rice either cashews was yummy, as was the saag. I would call the saag solid, but not unforgettable. The aloo jeera was a good side, especially if you love potatoes. Food came out quickly, and we devoured it all! Would def return.

Butter chicken was great! The ambience is great and the decor is cute. They have a bidet in the toilet which is hard to find in London lol 😂

This is The best Indian Resturant in London thus far. From prices to Service to taste, we had the butter chicken and the mutton cury and Byriani, all were great🧍‍♂️ The gentleman who served us has great attitude. I don’t give 5 star rating that often.

Disaster experience. Food was horrible and super-pricey. Either chef was not in mood of cooking oo split the same dish and served as different dishes. It is not an Indian restaurant and will not recommend anyone.

The food was quite good, but the portion size was smaller than expected, especially for the price. I ordered the lamb sheek kebab, and it included 5–6 small rolls of lamb with a small side salad. Otherwise, though, the staff was very friendly, although perhaps a little pushy about posting a review.

We had lunch here today after visiting V&A museum. We had butter chicken and Tandoori mix plate. Food was very average and service was also poor. Dishes were around 15-20GBP which you need to order and pay for rice or bread. Overall, do NOT recommend this place.

Saw the good reviews for this restaurant and decided to stop in. We ordered the following: Vegetable Samosas Tandoori Lamb chops Butter Chicken Green Curry Garlic Naan The samosas were good on flavor and size. Lamb Chops while having great flavor was a very small size for the price. 4 pieces that were quite small and barely any lamb meat. Butter Chicken - good flavor on the dish but felt rather watery. The sauce was not very thick and almost felt like a soup. Very small portion for the price Green Curry - the most disappointing dish after being highly recommended. The curry felt very dry and the chicken did not absorb the flavors from the curry. Would not order this again (not pictured) Garlic Naan - standard naan, good flavor and nice crispness

Fantastic first dinner in our latest visit to London. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried, and service was brisk and attentive in this busy local Kensington restaurant. We tried the pepper shrimp and chili paneer as appetizers and they were both excellent. The pepper shrimp was well accented by the generous red onion and peppers, all well salted and peppered. The chili paneer sauce was light but with a generous amount of heat, and the quality of the cheese was superb. We also had the samosas and they were fine, not particularly remarkable. For the mains, we had the lamb chops, butter chicken, saag paneer, aloo jeera, and the yellow rice with cashews. All were great but the lamb chops and butter chicken in particular were just next level. There was a sweet and smoky combination to the butter chicken sauce that was otherworldly, and the lamb chops were seasoned, seared, and grilled to perfection. Food came out quickly, and we were never left waiting during our meal. Decor was simple and tasteful. Highly recommended if you're anywhere close by.

Unfortunately this restaurant is down there with the worst I’ve ever experienced. My father believes this could be the least enjoyable food he’s had in years. Due to the lack of taste in the food we had to leave it and the waiter had the cheek to to say “I think you ordered too much.” Stay away g

Don't get why this is 4.5 stars. Don't get me wrong, it's oke but not that good. Restaurants looks good but waiters are a bit stiff. Loose the bowtie and smile maybe? We had several vegetarian Curry's. All a bit of the same and particularly the mushroom one was very blend. Naan was oke but quite small. No alcohol is served (don't mind myself but I understand you would like to have a choice). Bit pricy as well but that might be the location. I won't be returning anytime soon though.
