Haandi - Knightsbridge in Kensington and Chelsea

Excellent food with great service, was a bit quiet when we first arrived but soon filled up and the atmosphere was good. Recommend the chilli mushrooms for starter but they are spicy!

Amazing food, prawns vindaloo is nice and spicy, chilli naan is also delicious. The rice is also good. Chicken kesari korma is a milder option but still delicious. The madafu cocktail (mocktail) is also delicious.

Food was dry. Charged us 6 pound for water. Have to pay extra for rice and 20 % vat and 12% service charge added on. Over priced for just ok Indian.

Thought it will be spicy but it was sweet n little spicy, didn’t like much maybe will try something else next time, also I asked for pista kulfi expected to be green but🤷🏻‍♀️

Amazing tandoori oven thingy, go for the chicken tikka starter. Main courses were solid curry classics.

Je suis pas un grand fan des restaurants indiens, mais celui là est vraiment pas mal. De bons nans, bien mieux que ce dont j'ai l'habitude en France. De bons légumes épicés comme il faut. Même le riz blanc avait du goût. Portions généreuses. Service sympathique et pro. Vue sur les cuisines depuis la salle. Je recommande.

I love this restaurant, I’ve been going here for a few years now. And everytime I eat here I’m not disappointed. The prawn biryani is a must !!!! It’s so delicious.

Lo descubrimos de casualidad. La camarera una señora portuguesa muy amable con la que nos pudimos comunicar en español. La comida RIQUÍSIMA. Nos aconsejó unos champiñones de entrante deliciosos aunque MUY picantes ( nos lo advirtió). Las alitas y el pollo tikka masala muy ricos. El precio, algo más caro que la tendencia londinense. Nos costó unas 70 libras (2 personas).

Absolutely charming service. Our kids were having fun joking with the waiter/s . Really made our day a better one. All 4 of us emptied our plates and enjoyed the food.

Appears the spot is for people who want to enjoy good Indian food by people with a little less sense of hospitality. Also, a place where most of the insensitive crowd, who have less tolerance to children visit very often I suppose, as per the behaviour protrayed by one of the servers there named Henry who was very swift to take away my child's toy and instruct us that children playing in the restaurant is not allowed.

I would call it an adults only restaurant because kids are not welcome here and I got to k ow that forst hand when I visited the place on 28th of October with some friends and mu family including my 3 year old son. He was playing with a toy bus when of the servers Henry took it away and instructed us that the restaurant is intolerant to kids playing based on their previous experiences. That really got me thinking if the restaurant was situated in the epicentre of insensitive people who think they were born adults and were never kids. Definitely not going back there for another insult. Also, the restaurant does not have wheelchair or pram accessibility.

Service was warm and welcoming. The chicken methi, and lamb roganjosh were excellent. Flavorful, spiced just right. The garlic naan was made with real chopped garlic bits and not dried garlic powder. Overall an excellent experience.

Extremely friendly service. They got our 2 shy boys (years 8 and 10) happy and laughing and they all their food too ! The food was delicious. Made our day!

We were a group of 25 members of a literature conference program at the austrian culture forum in London, Haandi was only a walk away, so we booked a table for a fixed three course sunday lunch including "lassi as much as you can drink." What we thought as main dish, turned out to be the starters: Delicious pieces of tandoori chicken, veggie samosas and crusty breaded fish, along with mint-dip, mango-chutney and chili-sauce and crispy Indian Nan bread. Main dish was lentil soup, stewed lamb anc chicken in juicy sauces, grilled spicy vegetables, rice, a spinach-cheese-dish and more bread.. Nobody could eat anything anymore when two kinds of desert was served. I have never seen these sweets and dont know what they were - but they tasted wonderful! We could drink as many Lassis as we liked, salty, sweet or Mango flavor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We sat there for three hours and enjoyed the best of Indian cuisine. I nearly missed my return flight!

Just happened upon this looking for some outdoor seating. Food was amazing and the service even better. We asked them to make the prawn vindaloo a little less hot and it was perfect! Henry was so friendly! We will recommend to anyone in the area!

The food was excellent but quite pricey. The menu on the door did not reflect the same prices indoors and you must order at least 10p per person.

Had a birthday meal here yesterday and spent all night feeling ill. The chicken tikka masala was bone dry and barely any sauce. The malai kofta was flavourless and totally bland. A huge disappointment given that it was a celebration meal! The chicken may have been off given the hot weather. Diners beware!

Great food great service. The food over here has real Indian taste and flavors are so good. We tried their masala papad, paneer chilli, paneer makhni and chilli garlic naan. I visited them on my birthday and they gave me dal rice and masala papad for complimentary. This restaurant team really know how to treat their guest. If you're missing real North Indian food in UK do visit.

Good place tucked off the main road. Service, cleanliness was good. I ordered Punjabi chicken curry which was ok. Nothing spectacular. Other menu items could be better, I made a bad choice of main course perhaps

Great hidden spot that serves some delicious Indian food! The flavours of all the dishes were excellent! If you order something spicy, make sure you get raita to help extinguish the fires! The staff are friendly and helpful. Probably want to arrive before the evening rush to get a table.

The worst place for a curry. Bland curries and broken rice… chefs need a lesson in culinary and how to cook authentic Indian dishes

The food was amazing, we had a really nice meal to share; however the service was really poor, we could have had a better experience. In a last note, the toilets were very dirty.

El restaurante es muy bonito. Fuimos 7 personas, pedimos varios tipos de Naan, las samosas y los pollos tikka y korma. Estaba todo muy bien y el servicio fue muy amable. Nos tocó a unos 25€ por persona sin postres.

Came to this restaurant on a recommendation. Was not disappointed. Food has that homely but restaurant standard. The flavours are right up there. The staff are really friendly and attentive, regularly walking around and ensuring guests are catered for.

Horrible food. No authenticity in malai kofta. I told the manager and he was not ready to accept that the curry can be tasteless. Money not worth spending.

I go to Haandi once or twice a year when travelling to London. It's always very good, but this visit was exceptional. Meeting friends from the USA, not seen in 20 years, we were offered a private room area. Sara, our main waitress, was superb. Attentive, informative and amusing by turn, she went out of her way to make sure we had a great time. We asked for her advice on selections of starters and main sides: her recommendations were perfect. The food was, as usual, amazing. Chennai chicken highly recommended (years ago, they did a chicken chettinad which was my favourite dish, please bring it back?). I highly recommend Haandi in Knightsbridge. It seems to get better every time I go!

We got takeaway and albeit a bit pricey, the taste was absolutely amazing. This is one of the best Indian food we’ve had in the UK. Very much recommended. Go for the dhaba chicken.

Very pathethic customer relation. Every person minimum billing 20 gbp , They are just money oriented . I order masal papad , there were hardly any tomoatoes , i askd to atleast add a bit more it should feel masala . Manager replied chef cannot change our system .

This restaurant is in Knightsbridge close to Harrods. It started off being a well run, pleasant experience. They used to give you warm lemon scented hand wipes to clean your hands before eating and after eating which is unique. I thought it was thoughtful. Slowly through new management it’s lost its customer service. Food was always average and still remains average. A bit too oily and greasy for my liking. It’s in a high end location but it is not high end food.

Very impressive ambience and amazing food. Staff were really friendly and caring towards kids. Such an amazing place with authentic Indo-African cuisine offered. Definitely a gem worth visiting.

Courteous staff, nice ambiance. Some food items were good while others weren't, so it's a mixed feeling. Palak paneer was delicious whereas the vegetable biryani felt more like a fried rice which is a bit soggy. Had a decent meal but it's slightly towards the costlier side.

This is worst restaurant saw in my life.Not recommend any body because they cheated.I ordered to 30GBP dinner but they demand to me 49GBP.Please avoid that type restaurant.Food disappointed

Good food, great service and pleanty of vegetarian and vegan options

We visited on a recommendation. Disappointingly an average restaurant for vegetarian food. Tadka daal - lack of spices, it was more of a eating boiled daal. Malai kofta - rich gravy but tasteless. Aaloo chat - pathetic, full of tamarind chutney but again no combination of spices. Few initial trials with food had put us off. Mocktail was badly prepared - a strong sweet drink with pineapple and coconut, had to ask two times to redo it, but failed to create the real taste.

They tried to scam us because we were arab they add 35 pounds to the bill

Delicious and service was excellent. Hubby said best meat samosas he’s ever had. On a side note they also had the cleanest bathrooms I’ve seen in London which was much appreciated.

For A high end located restaurant, food lacked authentic and poorly constructed dishes. Naans were not authentic naans and curries lacked spice and tradition. Would prefer to go to the East End or West End for authentic Indian.

In a little square (Cheval) very close to Harrods this well taken care of Indian restaurant is a lucky find. Carefully prepared spicy and aromatic plates were amazingly tasty and well spaced tables make for comfort. All the dishes our group tried were absolutely delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful and could even advise us in Spanish. Exceptionally good!

The dinner was amazing we got the korma and tikka masala. Mixing both of them was divine if you are into that kind of thing. The dishes don’t come with rice though which I thought was weird. The service was great and they were super fast at getting us food.

Today I was with my friend in this restaurant, there is no service label, there is no attention to the customer. Then we asked to calculate the check separately, and he divided it in half, although we had to pay different amounts. An amazing place the waiters are funny and dont argue. The food is amazing especially for a place outside india. Not only when I ate the first bite I hoped it was in india. Must recommend. Loved the dal makhni with the chilli naan. Must recommend the chilli naan for spice lovers.

Waiter’s service was bad I think bcz of short staff . Hardly got the salads in mid meals which should be on table at first place . Basically they forgot a lot about what customers ordered . Price is ok bcz it’s an expensive area . Food was also ok ok . You can definitely get better food .

Hidden around the corner near Harrods, this place has wonderful staff. Food is amazing. Ask them to customize and they will be happy to do it. Place is warm and spacious.

Food (Palak Paneer and Chilli chili tofu) was okay but I had better indian cuisine before. The steamed rice for 5 pounds was quite impressive but only because it was so expensive. Service wasn't great either and definitely not worth the 12.5% service charge. Wouldn't recommend the place, you can find better places.

Nice & decent place to have Indian/ South Asian food. The staff are very interactive and welcoming. Food is nice - Starters, Mains both were nice - we ordered a mix of Veg & NonVeg options along with various drinks. Dessert - good list of options but none of us found any of them tasty. So, definitely the desserts need to be looked upon, as they were highly priced in the menu but weren't worth w.r.t quality.

Yumm yumm yumm… best indian vegetarian food I’ve had since I have arrived in London and that’s since 2 years. Bhindi masala…chilli naan, you can’t go wrong with it. The portion was very generous. Quite affordable price. Only thing is that the restaurant is off the street in a corner, it’s difficult to notice it. Indian vegetarians, don’t leave london without visiting at least once.

A Lovely restaurant beautiful food and the service was very good.

Had just been to Harrods and then thinking some Indian food, to my luck got hold of this place, Haandi. The food was excellent and enjoyed the Masala pappadam. Also had Punjabi chicke. Curry, which was perfect, not very spicy with tandoori roti and also got tandoori chicken. Would advise a must go if you visit Harrods.
