Ordered fish chips and mushy peas, fish was dry and full of batter, chips were luke warm and oil needs changing, peas were watery.Wouldn't return.

Bought 2 minced beef & Onion pies and one bag of chips . Costing £8 something.. Pies were both stone cold , chips were full of hard lumps, they need to check the potatoes they using because I’m sure they are bad . Never will we go there again and would not recommend it . Total waste of money 🤮🤮🤮🤮

This chip shop is much better than the other chip shop on caerleon road, the gravy, the chips, the xtra large sausages, it’s all great, in my opinion best chip shop on caerleon road!

The chips were Ok/average but the Victoria Park mince beef pies has been under the heat lamps far too long and the tops were rock hard. Having paid about £3 more than I would have at CJs (for the sake of convenience) we threw most of the food away. We won’t be buying from here again

Delicious food, had fish and chips, and pie and chips and saveloy all really tasty, my only gripe was the filling in the pie could have been more substantial

I visited the place several times, the food was average, except for the chips, they were disgusting, undercooked, tasted like the oil had not been changed for a while. The staff appeared friendly at first, I guess they could not accept constructive criticism and they became unfriendly

Whenever i fancy a chippy dinner i come to alonzi as its usually a lovely chippy 9 times out of 10.. also close to where i live so conievient. But the odd time the chips have been undercooked when they are really busy which is a shame
