Gran joyita, la gente es muy agradable, la comida es de buena calidad, los precios están en línea con el centro de Londres y no se ha decepcionado todavía!

Este lugar es precioso para una cena con la familia o amigos, un gran servicio y un personal amable encantador un delicioso principal y probablemente el mejor tiramisú que he tenido, (muy recomendable).

Comí aquí dos veces y lo disfruté inmensamente. Acabando de llegar de Italia, aprecié la comida, selecciones de vino, y el servicio amable. Está en un lugar tan conveniente también, pequeño pero decorado con buen gusto. Tomé el salmón sobre polenta con una deliciosa salsa de espárragos. Otros parecen estar saboreando sus pizzas. Hice hacer la sabrosa panna cotta en casa. Mi macchiato fue un buen final para mi comida. También hay una buena selección de vinos. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante

Lovely and friendly restaurant across the street from the St George Inn. Service was excellent and every dish we had was perfectly prepared.

We found Alma’s when searching online for a non-chain Italian restaurant to have lunch at near Tate Modern during a family day out, so went ahead & made a reservation. We all agreed that it exceeded our expectations & are pleased to heartily recommend this family run establishment. We were greeted with a friendly smile by the waitress, who turns out was the owner’s daughter. The restaurant is spotlessly clean & has a modern decor. We also felt that its smaller size makes for a more efficient & personal service. The quality of the food was quite outstanding. Our children had pizzas, my wife had the mushroom ravioli & I had the INSALATA NIZZARDA which was superb in all respects & a real treat. We were also all very well satisfied with our portion sizes. So it’s a 5* rating from us! Our compliments & sincere thanks to all of you at Alma’s. Grazie!

We popped into this little restaurant for a bite of lunch & we were so glad we gave it a try. The food was delicious, the service was speedy & friendly, & it was reasonably priced by London standards. We'd definitely go back again next time we're near London Bridge.

Received a warm welcome on a freezing cold Friday night.Nice warm restaurant, lovely as had just left a very cold pub. Enjoyed calamari to share, four cheese pizza and the pasta special of the day .House white wine was very good.The pasta was served hot which is rare, most places only manage to serve it warm.Service was friendly and we werent hurried.A very enjoyable experience and good value considering the location. Such a disappointment. Booked this restaurant for 7 oclock on a Saturday night, received a confirmation email confirming the booking just to turn up and the all the lights were off with the place shut. No effort to contact us to explain that they would not be open tonight. We were left trying to find a new restaurant on a busy Saturday night.

This was my second visit to Alma's and it was a good good time as the first. We chose this restaurant as it is near our office and the staff are wonderfully attentive and went out of their way to ensure our booking was secure. The food is lovely, the setting is intimate. While a couple of our party were delayed by trains we weren't rushed. Highly recommended.

Arranged lunch with colleagues for a Christmas work meal. The restaurant were accomodating & sent the menu ahead so we could place our order prior to arriving. The food was nice, a bit pricey but for the location it's to be expected. However, a colleague had her bag pickpocketed whilst we were sat down in the restaurant...

6 of us Visited here after an event locally but there ability to cope with special dietary requests was disappointing and most unitalian like. Even requesting a half portion of spaghetti to accompany a meal was a problem & greeted with a 'no we don't sell half portions'. Whilst the pizzas were OK the other main meals were pretty tasteless and bland. Given the cost per head we expected something better & certainly wouldn't rush back.

The staff were friendly and knowledgable. The food was tasty, however, the portions of pasta and gnocchi were too small. I would appreciate a better choice of desserts as most of them were coffee-flavoured - I personally don't like coffee. It might not be to everyone's taste. For example I love panna cota, but the only option they had was a coffee-flavoured one. It would be nice to have various choices. I ended up having delizia which was really nice.

tried this local for first time and will come back. Just off borough market . Good quality ingredients not too bad prices for London. Burrata and Mozzarella starters were refreshing and tasty. Spaghettini al mare was much enjoyed and my risotto was very nice and a bit different from the usual.Deliza dessert was really nice . Fiani wine is good by the glass and well priced.Small venue but worth a visit. Thank you to Era for looking after us so well.

This is a great little restaurant with good, inexpensive food. The pasta and pizza dishes are fresh and good quality. When I read some of the recent negative reviews, I nearly cancelled but I’m glad I didn’t as in fact the staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant was fairly quiet when we arrived but more people soon arrived and the atmosphere was warm. I and three friends all had a good experience and agreed we would go again.

We booked a reservation, turned up, got told they’re ere closed / the kitchen was closed, showed our booking confirmation and they said they would happily seat us (we triple checked as we didn’t want to keep them past hours), they rushed us to order, they took half the plates away whilst the others were still eating, put the bill down without us asking for it and then to top it all off opened the door (it was cold) so we would get cold and leave which was so so rude we were shocked - never actually had worse service. We confronted how awful they were and no apologies. Food was average at best too - needs a staff rejig I reckon

This is a gem of a family run Italian restaurant. The food was of excellent quality and very tasty. The pasta was home made etc. The service was quick and the staff very friendly. The place is very clean and has a great atmosphere. We can highly recommend and will soon be back.

Mediocer food, slow service and a noise level from hell. We had booked but were still given the worst bar table even though there was free tables available. When we got back to the hotel we got an email saying our booking was cancelled. We were there in the autumn of 2021 and loved the place so it must be new owners.

Used to go here before their revamp. Now it's terrible and super slow service(the couple next to me left, it took the girl so long to come around). I contemplated leaving, but I think cancelling the glass of wine would have caused too much confusion. I had some charcuterie. I hate these wooden boards people serve food on. It was tiny. There was cardboard under some of the food. I pointed it out. I heard the proprietor say to the girl it must have been attached to some of the food they got from the market (certainly not Borough market, I can assure you). No apology was offered. Stupid bar seating in the middle of the restaurant. Now they only take advantage of tourists. What happened here, it used to be nice with great food? I'll keep the good memories with my parents in my heart, but never go back. Waste of money now!!!

I had a meal in this restaurant and the owner was so rude and disrespectful. They were being so weird to me and not to my friend who was of lighter skin. They called me racist slurs. I wouldn’t recommend anyone who isn’t white to visit. Pizza express is better than this, terrible staff. Horrible food 0/10.

I went there in solo last weekend, the food was delicious (the best gnocchi’s Gorgonzola I have ever eat haha), and the dessert was so yummy ! The waiter was also really nice and smiling !

Service was shocking, was made to feel we were putting them out by asking for a table (they actually tutted). Waiter held our menus in his hand, while chatting to newcomers, right next to me, for about 5 minutes. Very cold centre table right next to the door, a heater above the door might be a good idea. Food was inedible. I had pizza that was tastless and greasy, and undercooked in the centre. My friend had a pasta that desperately needed seasoning, if not some ingredients that actually tasted of something. And it wasn't cheap either, around 40 quid for two, sharing a starter. I've never actually made a review before, because most of the time I think its about personal taste, but I was embarrassed people would use this place and think this is the best london can offer.

Great service and great food. Stopped for an early dinner with two young children and the food was great, children loved the pizza and was an authentic Italian and so much nicer than using one of the many chains. Lovely risotto and calzone, good wine list and nice atmosphere. Would recommend!

Picked Almas because it was convenient to London Bridge and delighted that we did. Very warm welcome and within minutes we realised it was a family run restaurant. Starters included Calamari Fritti, olives and Focaccia bread freshly baked well presented and tasty.Mains freshly made Ravioli with mushrooms and truffle…amazing and Pizza Piccantina which my friend loved. As we were there about 3.30 we were the only people there and had great conversations with the family, very special.

My family and I came here not to long ago for a dinner out and we were pleased to be greeted by very friendly staff. Food wasexceptional and would be more than happy to come back, its a great place and would highly recommend bringing friends or family here. I have been to Italy many times before and loved it, and yet Alma's Ristorante Pizzeria managed to give me that same feeling and warm welcoming as if I was back in Italy.

I honestly don’t know why there are bad reviews on this place. As an italian, this place made me feel like I was home. The food was fresh and very tasty and the staff were very friendly. The homemade lemon panna cotta is something I have never tried even in ITALY. It was a memorable visit and will definitely go again!

Smart, contemporary design restaurant with a good menu at reasonable prices, considering its location. Just suited us - being very close to London Bridge station but away from the busier Borough Market and those Friday night crowds.Delicious Homemade pasta dishes and crisp, fresh side salad. Possibly, the glass of wine was a little overpriced. Pizzas looked good too at other tables.

Really delicious Italian food and a great range of pasta, pizza and meat and vegetarian dishes. Fresh, good value and the service there was excellent. Can't fault the menu or the food and we didn't feel rushed. Great for lunch or an early dinner.

We had 8 of us in this friendly family run small restaurant. The food was great, especially the Calabrese, with great pizza and handmade pasta.

Super Seafood, netter Service, guter Vino Della CasaDie frietierten Calamari waren sehr gut. Meine Familie hat Risotto Frutti di Mare, Pizza Frutti di Mare und eine Lasagne gegessen. Alles war geschmacklich sehr gut, mit perfekten Garpunkt. Gutes Essen und eine super nette Bedienung. Sehr zu empfehlen! Vorallem wegen den guten Meeresfrüchten.

It’s a gem, first class food, fresh and flavourful. Please remember Alma’s is not fine dining in any stretch of the imagination, it’s a typical village restaurant you can find in every village or up the side streets in major towns, which serves good tasty food and great service.I will be returning...... I hope others see this review visits and enjoy the food and service.

We took a chance with this place, not knowing anything about it. It's an 'old-fashioned' (in the sense that it sticks to a classic UK-based Italian menu) Italian restaurant offering pizzas, pastas and a few meat and fish dishes.My friend and I opted for pasta and a glass of vine. I had the pasta puttanesca, which was delicious. Service was very friendly and entertaining- - I don't know if this place is family run but it has a family feel.On the downside, it's not all that that cosy and the lighting is quite harsh (similar to a takeaway). Tables are also very close together, which might bother some people.Considering it's fairly simple fare it's relatively expensive but then again this is London Bridge and not the outskirts of London.In any case, I'd happily return for the rather nice pasta.

Found this place by chance & was not disappointed. Lovely food, Appetisers were delicious and best Pizza we’ve had for a long time. Fairly busy even at 4pm and staffing a bit of an issue but that didn’t stop us getting great service from the very friendly Owner. Definitely will go again and highly recommend if you are in the area x

Found this place on a Friday evening whilst walking around Borough Market area.So glad we did, food was very good especially the bruschetta starters and the spaghetti carbonara.Service was good and quick, it was a bit quiet when we arrived but by the time we left it was almost full and there were lots of Italians eating there.

Restaurant was very empty for a Saturday evening. Menu was pretty poor in terms of expectations from an Italian, particularly the pasta section. Garlic bread as a starter was lovely. Mains left something to be desired. Friends pizza looked good but the 4 pasta dishes were undercooked. The ravioli was hard and clearly frozen and not fresh. The asparagus with the sauce was limp and soggy. Friends carbonara was very undercooked with the egg having congealed at the bottom of the bowl in a soup of liquid from the cream. Swordfish was average. Food was edible but not what is expected for the prices on the menu. Service charge added unfairly onto the bill when staff were inattentive, no salt and pepper on table and when asked for white wine the bottle was just slammed on the table and we had to ask for a cooler to be brought over to keep it cool. Such a shame as independent restaurants need to be supported over the big chains. Definitely will not be returning.

Passeggiando per Londra in cerca di un locale per mangiare qualcosa siamo entrati in questo piccolo ristorante pseudo italiano attratti dal buon profumo che usciva dalla porta. Abbiamo mangiato pizza e devo dire che era buona condita bene con materie prime comunque buone. Cottura forse rimasta un po' troppo dentro il forno che ne ha trasmesso il sapore del forno elettrico. Ha gestirlo una famiglia, con la quale ci siamo intrattenuti a fare due chiacchiere. Quando sarò nuovamente da quelle parti passerò

We stopped here hungry after a long day of walking. They were not only warm and friendly but perfectly happy to accommodate a dairy allergy. WIN! The food was fabulous. Best Ragu I've ever eaten. Wishing I had their recipe! Watch out for the garlic bread, it's really flavorful! Wish we found this restaurant sooner.

Non sono consona andare in ristoranti Italiani all'estero, anche perchè più volte sono rimasta amaramente delusa, sia per prezzo sia per qualità del prodotto; ma dopo diversi giorni di cucina londinese, volevo davvero qualcosa che mi ricordasse almeno vagamente l'Italia. Il locale da fuori si presenta un pochino anonimo ma decidiamo di entrare.All'interno ci ha accolto il personale molto gentile, per portarci ad un tavolo e darci il menù. Locale piccolo ma pulito (compreso il bagno).

Llegué a tomar una pizza rápida con amigos alrededor de las 8 de la noche un lunes por la noche. El restaurante estaba lleno, sorprendentemente para un lunes por la noche. Pronto nos dimos cuenta de por qué: súper calidad y buen valor también. Servicio rápido y un zumbido real en el lugar. Completamente recomendado

Si quieres un lugar para una buena comida italiana a un precio razonable, este es el lugar. Teníamos tres tazones de pasta (puttanesca y amatriciana) con pan de ajo y tres copas grandes de vino y con cargo por servicio, era alrededor de 60. La comida era realmente sabrosa.

Nourriture très bonne. Service rapide. Serveur gentil et accueillant. Petit resto mais convivial. On y allé plusieurs fois.

Op goed geluk binnengestapt en supertoffe bediening! Kleine zaak maar snel en lekker eten! vriendelijk en efficiënt! Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar dus gingen we de dag erna opnieuw! :-)

So, we visited here yesterday as we needed to find somewhere for a quick bite to eat before going up The Shard. Saw it from across the street & thought to ourselves, ‘you can’t go wrong with Italian’. The restaurant had only just opened & we were the first ones through the door, but within 10 minutes, there were lots of other diners. We had garlic bread as a starter which was freshly cooked & so tasty. Husband had mushroom risotto which they were only too happy to personalise as he asked for chicken to be added. I had a Quattro Formaggi pizza which was absolutely gorgeous! Friendly waiting staff who are attentive without hovering. Would highly recommend & wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you!

Low quality of food and wine for a higher price. Also the Ambient feels like a fast food restaurant. Many little ugly things (no salt & pepper on table, unpersonal server, horrible wine...). Not again.

Anyone who is at all familiar will be aware that there are lots, and I mean lots, of dining options around the London Bridge/Borough Market/Borough High Street area. The problem is that most of them are simply reproductions from one of the many high street chains you can find anywhere.

Small restaurant just couple of minutes walk away from Borough Market, what a gem! The staff were friendly, attentive but not overbearing, the Pinot Gregio was spot on but most importantly the food was delicious!

The food is really nice! The wine is superb!! The service is excellent!! And all these despite it being in London Bridge.

Very small, sat too close together, squashed in, food was good, service a bit slow, but what bugs me is when they put a service charge on your bill anyway and then ask you to put a gratitude in the card machine, I am old fashioned and like to leave a cash tip depending on how good the service and food is or decide quietly myself if I want to do gratitude, found that embarrassing and spoiled the experience.

Los calamares como entrante fue realmente bueno. También tuvimos Penne vodka salmón que era bueno, pero un poco salado y pizza Funghi. La calidad era lo suficientemente buena para una cena informal. También queríamos probar el tiramisú, pero salieron corriendo. También se quedaron sin cerveza.

La comida era deliciosa, pero todo llegó muy rápido, así que en realidad terminamos nuestra comida en media hora o menos. Cuando vinieron a preguntar si queríamos algo más, dijimos que nos gustaría una factura solo para terminar con esto (aún Me quedaba un montón de vino en mi copa, así que no estábamos planeando irnos antes de que terminara, pero poco después de pagar la factura, la señora vino a nosotros y dijo que tenemos 5 minutos para la mesa y necesitamos irnos. ¡Lo encontré súper grosero ya que solo habíamos estado allí durante media hora! Logró terminar nuestras comidas pero aún tenía nuestras bebidas frente a nosotros (que ya habíamos pagado). Y lo suficientemente justo, si me ofrecen otro lugar donde pueda terminarlo, ¡pero no hay espacio en absoluto!

Un espléndido hallazgo local entre todas las cadenas de precios altos del centro de Londres. Justo al sur del puente de Londres es fácil de encontrar. La comida es excelente y una amplia selección de menú. Opté por el hígado y el tocino y estaba delicioso y el hígado de las terneras - no el hígado de cerdo duro. El linguini de comida de mar era encantador (solo me permitieron verlo)

Pasé este pequeño restaurante en el camino a nuestro apartamento de alquiler y por casualidad miré y noté que la camarera llevaba dos comidas a la mesa. Tenía una sonrisa tan bonita y parecía realmente feliz.

Alma’s delivers reasonably priced pizza and pasta. No fuss, friendly service, fast - they execute well. I have been here on a number of occasions avs never been disappointed. It’s basic Italian in a small restaurant giving good value.

We have been here before when in London and enjoyed our meals ,I think it's value for money for what you get

Went after a show at the Menier Theatre,had Liver and Bacon on a bed of Spinach with Balsamic vinegar, i twas huge 3 massive pieces of liver and 4 Bacon rashers,just abot managed it

Splendid family greeting on walking in. 2 plates of linguine heavily populated with a range of seafood, mussels, calamari, prawns, octopus and a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Great service, the right amount of banter. I’d always choose this over other overpriced offerings in the area. Highly recommended.

Went last week and only booked an hour before going, went based on reviews. They weren't wrong, walked in to a big smile and from there on the service was superb. Food was very very tasty, not long from ordering to service but with a nice break between courses. One course was slightly wrong - different pasta to the menu, it did not make any difference but they were so apologetic. Prices were very good too so it added to the evening. Will go back no question.

We came here with our 6 year old since she is a picky eater and a lot of the more upscale options didnt have anything she would like. We figured we couldnt go wrong with Pizza. We were right, she loved it. My husband also really loved his calzone. I got a steak and for the price it was very, very average. Other patrons dishes, like the spaghetti and other pasta dishes looked good. We also had the fried mozzarella and that was very good. Id recommend if you want simple italian food or pizza!

Sono andato dopo una giornata di camminata estenuante e sentivo bisogno di carboidrati sotto forma di spaghetti. Condizionato preventivamente dalla moltitudine di pregiudizi che dicono che manguare a italiano a Londra "fa schifo", avevo sinceramente paura di trovarmi a che fare con qualcosa di immangiabile... e invece ve lo consiglio vivamente, se avete voglia di pasta questo locale soddisferà il vostro palato come fosse un ristorante italiano in italia. Prodotti ottimi, cortesia, porzioni abbondanti e prezzi contenuti.

In an area with many pricy up-themselves food outlets, Alma's is nice and straightforward. Decent Italian food at reasonable prices. Nice staff too.

We’ve been here a few times and last came on a busy Saturday evening. Atmosphere is bright, buzzy, kitschy and a little cramped. Food and service is far from brilliant – garlic bread was dry whilst pizzas were stodgy and uninspiring - even the chilli oil failed to deliver that much needed kick. Food is overpriced for what you get, although the Montepulciano D-Abbruzzo house red is quite good at less than £17 a bottle. A further problem is with cooking smells – your clothes will reek when you leave this place!
