Controversial take, but this is our top Indian takeaway in Bristol right now. Would definitely recommend. Spicy, Punchy and quick service.

We don’t get takeaway food very often, but when we do, we order from All Spice. Always excellent food and quick delivery. The chicken tikka saag is is totally divine!!

We have been having the meal for two here since they opened well over ten years ago, the standard of food and quantity has never changed. We are always greeted by first names and asked how we are etc. The first time my grandson accompanied me to order a curry Salem the owner asked him what he liked and disliked, and created a curry just for him and his name was on the container, a very nice touch which shows they care. We have tried other local Indian restaurants and take aways but found All Spice to be the best.

Esta es la segunda vez que hemos tenido que sacar de Allspice y las dos veces nos hemos quedado muy impresionados. Vivimos a la vuelta de la esquina y nos entregan (¡suena flojo!). Hemos comido la comida preparada para 2 personas, sin vegetales, y podemos recomendar con confianza el sag aloo como plato de vegetales y el paneer motor, también la patia de pollo y pollo maduri. El nan especial es excelente. Esta es una joya de restaurante para llevar. Pruébalos, ¿no te decepcionará?

went for a quick bite and the food was tasty but thought it was a bit pricey service was ok though and a good range of meals was available will go back again to try some of the other meals

I'm a total wuss for spicy food, but I got my first ever chicken korma and onion bhajis from this place many years ago now, and every time I've gotten those dishes from any other takeout I've always regretted it because it's just not as delicious. Another reviewer was spot on when they said it's sit-down restaurant quality food. I don't order super often, maybe once a month, but Selim always greets me by name when I come to collect or when I give my address on the phone. I recommend the vegetable korma which is a bit like getting a kinder egg because they often rotate what kind of vegetables they put in. Butterbeans are my personal jackpot but the aubergine pieces are great too. The only thing is, be sure to order extra korma sauce, because they really pack those veggies in there so it's not as saucy as the chicken korma. The one downside for me is that is often takes a long time to reach me - never less than an hour and sometimes as much as ninety minutes. In fairness though a lot of that is probably because I live 2.5 miles away. I could get faster delivery from closer places, but nah mate, nah. I'll wait for the good stuff to arrive. (Or I'll collect!)

We used to love the food from here but unfortunately they've become greedy. Portion sizes have been getting smaller, less meat in dishes, & their customer service is pretty poor. After our latest experience of food arriving 1.5 hours late we were told that we couldn't get a discount because we were regular customers & the manager never bothered to call us back. We won't be using them again.

We visit allspice very often and so far they haven't let us down. The curries are great and always taste fresh! By far best takeaway curry in Bristol we've ever had! Would highly recommend the jal balti chicken curry and prawn puri.

We have been using Allspice for quite a few years now (enough time for them to recognise my husband's voice and say 'hi Mark' when he phones in our order). Obviously we're eating too much takeaway! The onion bhajis and prawn puree are stand out (particularly the puree - really sweet and very hot). The curries are also excellent - we like the lamb saag and chicken tikka jalfrize. They always deliver within the hour and the prices are good. Highly recommended!

We have been customers of All Spice from when they first opened a fair few year's ago, and the food has always consistently good. Our favorite is a meal for two which is exceptionally good value, we have never had a meal that we have not enjoyed. Usually we ring in and collect and have used the delivery service which has always been within a few minutes of time we are advised. We have tried different curry restaurants and takeaways in the area but keep going back because of .......good portions, good value but most of all great food.

Tasty food, generous portions, the best onion bhaji I've ever had. And no artificial colouring and flavours which is unusual for takeaways.

Dreadful service, took hours to arrive, didn't complete the full order. If I had not of contacted them several times doubt I would have got the order.

I eat a lot of curry, at a lot of different curry houses. Allspice are right up there, one of the best I've found in a long time. You simply won't find a better curry than this in the area. They're super cheap too!

Restaurant called me and tried to get me to pay again because they said their machine was broken. Refused and called Just Eat for a refund; they said they would have to call the restaurant to make sure I was telling truth. Will not be using JustEat again.

First, their customer service is exemplary. If I call into the shop or call on the telephone then I can be certain that one of the staff who serves me, aside from providing excellent service, will recognise me and they will always stop for a moment to chat. I always enjoy my experience with the staff at All Spice as they have discovered the key to keeping customers happy is great service... Which they provide. Second, the food has always been amazing. We do, like most people, have our favourite dishes that we tend to stick to (obviously we love them) but occasionally we'll lash out and try something different. The customer service shines through again here because (when calling orders in) the staff member recognises me, knows my regular order and will provide their advice on the new dish. I have not had a bad experience or a bad meal from All Spice. I highly recommend them.

We have visited the restaurant and had a pleasant experience so when me and my boyfriend ordered through just eat we weren't expecting the staff to be rude, not given our whole order and it to be the awful quality it was. The food was extremely late and when we contacted the restaurant he was very blunt and rude to my boyfriend. The mushrooms in the rice were freezing cold. One of the main curry dishes was missing. The lamb rogan josh was swimming in water and made the rice very soggy and disgusting. The only place for it was the bin! Both me and my boyfriend ordered what was described as "fairly hot" dishes and there was literally no spice at all. It was just shocking, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

Best Indian takeaway we've had in Bristol. Tasty, great value and importantly nice and hot! We've tried plenty of others across the city and Allspice is definitely a cut above the others. The naan bread in particular was delicious and it's good to see a takeaway place not using artificial colouring in their food.

Allspice in Totterdown is a fantastic Indian Takeaway - I've always had an excellent curry from there and been greeted by friendly staff who probably know my order by heart now. I usually collect my order so can't comment on deliveries, but the food is always fresh and prepared quickly (although I try and avoid takeaways on the weekend). I've been countless times and never had a bad curry!

We had the following:Popadoms and pickle tray, lime pickle best by far but only half full. Pickled while garlic cloves just strange. Mains of tandoori mixed grill which was very light on seasoning snd small and a lamb rezala curry which should be hot and garlicky and was neither of these. Pretty underwhelmed overall I have to say.

Would've rated 5 but sometimes the curry is very watery and sometimes it's thick how I like it. I don't like how it varys. The chicken in the korma is very light(not hard) very great nan breads too. Love it here! Would recommend

It took 2 hours to arrive, and was given no apology for being an hour later then they had said. The curry want bad, but I have definitely had better.

After waiting over an hour and a half and phoning and getting no apology just got shouted its on its way .will never order from here again because of the bad service

They made sag paneer with cheddar cheese and should be ashamed of themselves!

This is the feedback that I sent directly to JUST EAT The service on Saturday night was below any standard. We has just moved into our new house and the whole family were therefore very hungry. We ordered nearly £50 worth of food (we are that regular that the driver recognised my husband from our old house). Upon checking the order we realised that the 10 poppadoms were missing. I rang the company and advised them of this to which the gentleman responded "I will send them to you now". He didn't question anything and was really good about it. When we sat down to actually eat 3-4 mins later I realised that my chicken balti was also missing. So I called back and spoke to the same gentleman. This time he wasn't so polite, he answered "I prepared the meal myself and your order was correct". I was so shocked that I offered for him to come and check the order to prove that I wasn't pulling a fast one to which he said "I'm not doing that, I'll speak to my driver when he gets back" and hung up the call. My husband then called back and spoke to the same man again. This time the gentleman confirmed that the food would be sent but my husband did have to use a very strong tone with him to get an answer. The food arrived 20 mins later, after the rest of the party had eaten, the rice had gone cold and the balti itself was luke warm. We had no apology from the driver or the company.

Good flavour and not swimming in grease. Definitely up there with the best! I will certainly order from them again.

This was absolutely amazing, relaxing with some friends at home after a long fun weekend, needed healthy food before going to sleep but didn't want loads, so I ordered a 2 person vegetarian set menu for £16.50, and ended up filling 6 plates with wonderful food! Such incredible value, I highly recommend this to anyone :)

Ordered at 7.30pm with a delivery time of 8.15pm Finally got food at 9.30pm despite numerous phone calls chasing and being promised it would be 10 minutes. It's a real shame as I've not had bad service from them before. The food was very good as usual, but I am now in a dilemma. Should I order from them again?

I've been coming to all spice for a very long time now and have always been very pleased with the quality of the food and the service.

If i'm going to order an Indian takeaway I nearly always use Allspice in the local area. The food is always good and delivered promptly... Highly recomended.

The curry was ok however the poppadoms were a bit burnt. Delivery took about 1hr 15 mins and I had to call to chase it up.

Great value for money, arrived before stated time. Delicious.
